Chapter 14
Sorry! I was hoping to get a lot more chapters up over the holidays and now I go back to school on Monday! I was meant to update this on Tuesday before the New Year but I didn't finish it! Soon they were walking through the door of Ash's house hand-in-hand.
'Ella' Ash shouted through the house. Ella soon appeared at the top of the stairs and started making her way down as Ash and Zoe took their coats off. 'Remember Zoe?' He asked looking from Ella to Zoe.
'How could I not' Ella glared at her and Zoe rolled her eyes. 'Wait…she's not…you're girlfriend is she?!' Ash put his arm around Zoe pulling her closer to him.
'Yeah she is whether you like it or not'
'Unbelievable!' Ella stormed back upstairs and the last thing they heard was the slamming of her bedroom door.
'I don't think she likes me very much' Zoe said looking at Ash.
'I don't care what she thinks I love you and that's all that matters' This made Zoe smile and they shared a passionate kiss. They went through to the living room and had a seat.
Zoe and Ash were sitting talking and looking for a house when Ash got a phone call from Charlie saying a patient he treated earlier was back in again.
'Do you have to go' Zoe pleaded trying to seduce him into not going.
'Yes I do no matter how hard you make me want to stay with you' He stood up and walked to the door, Zoe following behind. 'You're more than welcome to stay here although you might have a problem with Miss Diva up there'
'I'll stay. I want a little word with her anyway'
'Okay. I'll see you later then' They kissed before he walked out. Zoe went to the bottom of the stairs and shouted up.
'Ella. Your dad's gone out for a while'
'Well, why are you still here then!' She shouted back down.
'Because I want a word with you so will you please come down here' Ella groaned and slowly made her way downstairs.
'Living room' Zoe said and Ella sighed and went and sat down in the living room.
'What do you want? I have things to do'
'You don't like me. We all know that but me and your dad are together so get over it'
'You can't talk to me like that'
'I just did' Zoe wasn't taking any attitude from her.
'Is that it can I go' Ella was getting impatient not really listening to a word Zoe was saying.
'No actually. Have you stopped with the drinking and overall 'bad behaviour'?' Zoe asked sternly.
'What do you care whether I have or not?'
'Because I don't want your dad put through all that again…'
'Can you not just keep your nose out you arrogant cow!'
'And about a tiny margin of me actually cares about you' Ella softened up a little and looked up at Zoe.
Ella hesitated for a moment to think about whether she wanted to tell Zoe or not. 'Last week. Last week we went out and got absolutely hammered. Stole some booze and stuff from a corner shop' Zoe sighed and sat next to her.
'Oh Ella'
'I'm sorry. Please don't tell dad' By this point Ella had started crying and Zoe pulled her in for a hug which she didn't pull away from.
'I won't tell him. This can be our little secret. But you can't keep doing it it's also bad for your health'
'Don't go all doctory on me' Ella smiled slightly looked up at Zoe. 'You know…you're not so bad after all. My dad's done good'
'I'll take that as a compliment' They both smiled as Ash came in. He walked into the living room and smiled at the sight he saw; his daughter in the arms of his girlfriend. Ella and Zoe shared a look and Ella walked over to her dad and hugged him.
'I love you dad' Ash held her close shocked at what was happening.
'I love you too Ella' He let her go and Zoe gave her a wink before Ella walked back upstairs.
'What happened here then?' Ash asked taking a seat next to Zoe.
'Lets just say I think she likes me now'
'Is that so' Ash said and then he kissed Zoe putting his hands up her top. She pulled away and looked at him.
'We can't'
'Yeah we can' They smiled and he carried her upstairs to his bedroom where they continued kissing and trying not to let Ella hear what they were up to.
