Chapter 14

Angels in school.

So, hey guys! I know it's been long but I have been busy lately.

But guess what? It's my birthday tomorrow! So I'll try and update as often as I can.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Apollo ducked as he made his way to his next class. This was perhaps the first time in history the sun god wasn't trying to butt in, smack a guy on the head with a chair or do something equally stupid to be the center of attention. And just perhaps it had something to do with the way his legs were hanging out of the school trash bin in lunch today after he decided it would be fun to imitate a wild pig that had just conceived with Sloan written on his shirt. It was pretty hilarious the first few minutes before he was forced down into the stingy unholy piece of plastic, where he found himself in the honored company of yesterday's runny eggs and gooey pizza.

He was so concentrated on reaching class before Sloan could have another go at him and this time use his head as a cleaning cloth for the African frog cage in the bio lab, he ran straight into a person and send papers flying everywhere.

"Styx!" he cursed and bend down to pick up the papers now scattered on the floor.

"Wow. I've never heard anyone curse like that."

Yeah, well aren't you lucky to?

Apollo looked up but his retort stuck in his throat. He found himself staring at a girl with two gorgeous green eyes. Her straight blonde hair was left loose over her shoulders. Her cute pink lips curved and two dimples appeared on her cheeks.

"I uh…I mean…paper" Apollo mentally cursed as he handed over the papers to her. Of all the millennia of hooking up with drop dead gorgeous princess and actresses, he starts stuttering like an idiot before a high school girl. A beautiful high school girl.

The girl laughed and held out her hand "I'm Angel Starlight"

"Apo-Harris" Apollo managed

The girl raised an eyebrow "Your name is Apo-Harris?"

Apollo shook his head and opened his mouth. No words came out.

I'm going to kill those bloody old ladies Apollo thought about the fates.

Luckily Angel didn't seem to have pegged him as a dumb loser. If anything her cheeks colored a bit as she waved her hand in farewell. Apollo, who was too busy contemplating the best ways to feed the fates to the harpies and getting away with it failed to notice her flushed cheeks.

He stared after her as she walked away to her friends. He could feel the ridiculously happy grin on his face that must have looked a bit alarming to the passer byes as they quickly hurried away from the now slightly smoking sun god.

He was so occupied within his little day dream, where lots of tiny angels were dancing, he didn't notice the red haired moron sneaking behind him until it was too late to run into the nearest class room.

"Hello lyre." Sloan drawled ,his ugly crew by his side. They didn't seem bothered about missing class "or should I call you Apo- Harris?"

Apollo thought it sounded cute when angel called him that. But with Sloan it was downright painful. And a little embarrassing.

"You were eavesdropping into my private conversation" Apollo stated still smiling a little

Sloan shrugged "I didn't think you could get more stupid but the way you stuttered…ah well boys I'm afraid there's no hope left!"

"You wouldn't be thinking about my life if you had one" Apollo retorted giddily.

Wrong. Words.

But Apollo hardly felt the punch that landed on his face. Or the kick to his stomach. He was still in wonderland and smiling as a small line of blood trickled from his mouth.

Sloan frowned in confusion. He was used to having kids put up a fight or scream when he punched them. Sometimes they fainted which made it more fun as he could dump them in the trash on his way out. But this impossible loser was smiling as he delivered his hard worked punch. Sloan was a little wary that he must have squashed the little amount of brain cells the kid had. So decided to move on.

"Come on guys." He said to his loyal crew. "Let's go T.P the watchman's cabin."

Five minutes later Athena walked down the corridor. The teacher had sent her out to check where Apollo was. Ares had volunteered to do so but Mr. Martini had a sneaking suspicion he wouldn't see the heavy obnoxious kid again if he stepped out his class.

What Athena didn't expect to find was Apollo on the floor, his bag under the nearest trash can, his mouth covered in blood and smiling as if though it was the best day of his life.

She regarded him amusedly "Well, it looks like someone is star struck"
