Chapter Fourteen:

Candace felt her heart thumping in her chest as she fought through the bots. Her main focus at that moment was saving her parents life at whatever the cost. There was less than ten minutes left on the countdown before the bomb went off.

Jeremy fought beside her, also determined to save his family no matter what side they might be on. They needed him. The bots were fierce though and it was difficult to avoid the disintegrating guns. Luckily no one had been hit, that was his greatest fear.

Carl fought his way through the bots with ease. With his combined smarts and the slight training Major Monogram had given him, the boy was a force to be reckon with. He saw his mentor and boss several feet in front of him. He just needed to get close enough to shoot them with the Turn-Everything-Good-Inator. It wouldn't do them good to just release them from the bomb first, they would only turn on them.

He dodged a beam shot at him from the bot he was fighting. The red-headed unpaid intern grabbed his stun gun and fired shots at the bot. It hit its mark, momentarily stunning the bot and allowing Carl to a piece of a nearby disabled bot. he plunged it into the center of what would be the bots chest. It was immediately disabled.

This cleared Carl's path to their trapped friends and family. They all sneered at him as he approached. "You will die whether you stop the bomb or not." Major Monogram jeered at the intern.

"With all due respect sir, I don't think so." He held his Turn-Everything-Good-Inator at them and individually shot it. They all passed out for several second before coming too once more.

"Carl? What's going on?" Major Monogram asked, all trace of evil completely wiped away. Carl smiled in relief before focusing his attention on the task at hand. "Basically, sir, Jessica managed to take over the world, she turned you and half of Danville evil, and is currently attempting to kill is all. Hence why you're attached to a bomb." Carl explained as he leaned down to look at it.

"A bomb!" Linda gasped and then nearly screamed when she noticed the countdown timer on her husband's chest. Lawrence just looked dazed at the machine strapped to him. "Oh my, this cannot be good."

"Don't worry everyone, I'm good at dealing with this sort of thing." Carl assured them as he got to work. They watched him with abated breath, fearing the worst. The timer was down to a minute down and everyone felt their panic increasing.

"Almost got it." Carl mumbled, his face scrunched in concentration.

20…19…18…17…16…15

"Carl, I suggest you hurry." Major Monogram advised, trying and failing to sound calm. At this time, the others had finished taken out the surrounding bots. They stood a couple feet back, holding their breaths in anticipation.

14…13.12…11…10

"Carl…"

"Oh my gosh!

"We're all going to die."

"Try to remain calm everyone!"

Candace grabbed Jeremy's hand, fearing the worst. Tears were now in everyone's eyes.

9…8…7….6….5

"Oh dear, this really isn't good…"

"Mommy I don't wanna die…"

"I know sweetheart, its okay."

"Carl!"

"We have to get out of here!" Jeremy said, pulling his girlfriend towards the building. Stacey and Coltrane followed them with heavy hearts. Candace sobbed, thinking that perhaps this would be the last time she ever saw her parents.

4…3…2…

"CARL!" Major Monogram shouted, his eyes shutting in anticipation. Everyone followed suit, thinking this was their final moments. Candace and the others held their ears.

"Got it!" Carl shouted and the countdown stopped. The straps wrapped around them fell to the ground and they were free. Everyone stood, frozen for a minute, stunned. They were alive, Carl had saved them from certain death.

The four teens ran around the corner to see that everything was okay, Carl had saved them all. Smiles broke out onto their faces.

They let out deafening cheers, everyone running to hug whoever they could. Candace ran straight to her parents, hugging them tightly. Stacey took her sister and mother in her arms, promising to always love them. Jeremy picked up Suzy, kissing her cheek and she giggled. His parents then wrapped their children in a hug. Major Monogram and Perry the Platypus walked up to Carl and congratulated him on his success.

"Good job, Carl. I'm proud of you." Major Monogram smiled. Carl felt tears in his eyes and he took his mentor/ slash friend into his arms, hugging him tightly. "A-Alright Carl, that's enough." The Major coughed, though he saw the look of appreciation in his eyes.

Candace joined them then, though her eyes were on Perry. "So Perry, you're a secret agent huh?" She asked, a teasing smile on her face. The platypus shrugged sheepishly, causing Candace to laugh. "I always knew you were something special. You know, for a meat brick that is."

Perry grinned and hugged his owner, happy that she truly cared. He always knew she did, but to hear her say it to him caused tears to gather in the corner of his eyes.

"If I can get everyone's attention!" Major Monogram called out, causing everyone's conversations to come to a halt. "This battle is far from over. Thanks to these five brave teens, quite a few of bots have been destroyed, but there are still plenty more. Jessica is still at large as well. We have a long battle ahead of us still."

Carl nodded and took over. "We brought plenty of extra stun guns and Turn-Everything-Good-Inators." Coltrane brought over a box that was full of them. "Take one of each, you're going to need them. The bots will be stunned momentarily by the stun guns but then you must use something else to destroy them. Keep an eye out for other people turn evil by Jessica. And watch out, the bots shot out a pretty nasty disintegrating ray.

Everyone did as they were told and quickly grabbed the two guns. After that, they split up, intent on finishing this war once and for all.

Ferb, Irving, and Vanessa were surrounded by the Fireside girls, Buford, and Baljeet. It was quite terrifying for them. Buford grinned, taking pleasure out of their fear. To them, this would be an easy win.

"Ferb!"

The sound of Phineas' voice momentarily stunned the evil side long enough for Ferb to put his plan into action. He brought out his Turn-Everything-Good-Inator and immediately shot Gretchen, who was close to him. She cried out in surprise and fell to the ground unconscious. Vanessa and Irving took his lead and shot Milly and Katie respectively. Holly, Adyson, Buford and Baljeet immediately went on the defense, shooting their ray guns at the others.

Phineas and Isabella joined the fray. "Holly, Adyson! That's enough!" Isabella shouted, the authority in her voice causing the two to pause. They knew when their chief sounded like that, she meant business. Neither realized she was one the opposite side now.

Isabella snatched Phineas' Turn-Everything-Good-Inator from its holster and hit the two of them. They gasped, surprised by their leaders betrayal and fell unconscious. Phineas looked at his girlfriend admirably. "You are good." He smiled. She giggled and kissed his cheek. "I know."

Buford and Baljeet proved more difficult that the Fireside girls. The two of them were actually quite fast and made a pretty good team. "How in the world are we supposed to take them down?" Irving asked, firing and missing several more shots.

"We need to separate them somehow. They're pretty strong together, perhaps they'll fall if they're apart." Vanessa suggested.

"Good idea!" Phineas exclaimed. "Hey Buford!" He called and the bully paused, looking over at the other boy with a sneer. "Bet you can't catch me!"

Phineas turned and took off, taunting the bully as he went. "I never ignore a challenge." He smirked and took off after the other boy. Baljeet watched the other leave in agitation. "Buford don't leave me here alone with these people!" He shouted but he was gone.

Baljeet turned nervously to the others. "Um, I surrender?" He gulped, taking several steps back. Ferb pointed his Turn-Everything-Good-Inator on him and shot it. The nerd passed out, causing the group at cheer in victory.

"Now let's hope Phineas gets Buford." Irving said, looking in the direction the two had disappeared in.

Buford laughed as he chased Phineas through the streets. "Do you honestly think you can get away from me Dinnerbell?" He called, a mocking tone in his voice. Phineas didn't reply, instead concentrating on running.

He turned around a corner and ran several feet before turning around and pointing the Turn-Everything-Good-Inator the way he'd just come. Buford came around the corner fast, but skidded to a stop when he saw Phineas was there.

"Hah! Do you really think I'm afraid of a little gun?" Buford scoffed.

"This isn't just any kind of gun." Phineas said and shot it. Buford jumped to the side, easily avoiding the blast. Buford laughed and asked him if that was the best he could do. "I hope not." Phineas muttered and began shooting more beams at him.

Buford dodged them all with ease despite his huge size. He proceeded to shot his own gun at the other boy. It became a game of cat and mouse, each trying to avoid the other.

"You can't stop Jess from her destiny, boy! So you might as well give up now!" Buford shouted, sniggering darkly. Phineas had no intention of giving up though. Everyone counted on him to take the bully down.

Suddenly the shoots at him stopped and Phineas looked around. Buford had disappeared. The red-headed boy frowned. "Buford?" He called out. He yelped when he was suddenly tackled from behind.

He turned around to see Buford was sitting on his back. The bigger boy smirked, pointing the gun at Phineas' face. "Say goodbye."

Phineas closed his eyes, thinking it was end. However, the shot never came. In fact, he felt the weight lift off of him and Buford shout in surprise. Phineas opened his eyes to see Candace and Perry standing in front of him. Perry shot his own Turn-Everything-Good-Inator at Buford and the boy passed out.

"Candace! Perry! Boy am I glad to see you guys!" Phineas smiled as his sister helped him stand up. "I take it you got the others?"

Candace nodded. "Yup. We split up to take care of the remaining bots and whoever else that is still evil. Where's everyone else?"

"We split up. They should be somewhere that way." Phineas said, pointing in the direction he had come from. Phineas then walked over to Perry and smiled. "Just so you know, buddy, I'm not mad that you're a secret agent anymore. You're still the greatest pet a boy could ever have. This just makes you a thousand times cooler!"

Perry smiled, relieved that Phineas wasn't mad at him. They two of them hugged and Candace smiled at her brother. She knelt down and joined them, closing her eyes. They'd made it so far in this battle, but it wasn't over yet. None of them wanted to think of the possibility that they could die.

Buford groaned as he came too one more. The two children and pet separated and looked at their friend curiously. He didn't seem to be evil anymore. He looked around, momentarily stunned by his surroundings. "Phineas? Where are we?" He asked.

"I'll explain on our way back to the others. Come on, this isn't over yet." Phineas said as he helped Buford stand up. He was relieved to have him back to normal. They took off in the direction they'd come earlier, but this time as friends. Phineas explained everything that he knew to Buford, relieved to have his friend back.

Alright and that finished! Next chapter is the final showdown! Then there will probably be one more chapter! Then it's over! I'm seriously sad to think this is almost complete. But hey, it did take me two years to finish this! At least I stuck to it this time. Anyways, got to go to work so see ya later!

This chapter was finished on 8/5/2015.
