Guest: I never did say that Jerry was going as fast as Ruby, the Glyph Jerry used was one I had made for this story. It gives an adrenaline boost for the user, allowing the user to make quick decisions and attack. Jerry made the Glyphs and moved at a quick speed, and the final Glyph was some bit away. Now Cardin is not an idiot…sort of. After constantly being knocked around a bit, he would have wised up and figured out where the next attack was coming from. Make sense?
Shadow Solaris: Conner is only a one way power, and not even close on Will. You are also scraping the surface on how I am going to re-introduce the trio back to Jerry.
Happy1K1nob1: Jerry won't let something like that get him down. He understands that he doesn't know everything about this world, but he is going to do his best to understand. Also, this chapter is thanks to you…and the next several.
Nightblade546: Thanks for the comments, yeah I guess chris was right but…I still like to think that something is original. Not a big deal if people really critique it, I like it so…
I appreciate your help but it's a bit unnecessary, I have everything planned out; the reason it's taking so long…Christmas video games.
Also, I like the idea of the 'WMT' room, so thanks!
Slenderbrine: That moment when your crazy girlfriend is actually from another timeline and will inevitably kill you so she can repeat the process because she loves you.
ENJOY!
Chapter
Damian POV…
Taping on the console, I opened another program and began to skim through it.
CLANG!
CLANG!
I instinctively ducked again, however nothing passed over my head; I didn't want to risk getting hit in the head, even if it didn't happen in the first place.
WA-THUMP!
"Yes!"
Standing back up, I see that Conner was holding his shield with a grin. Replacing it back on his left arm, he got that concentrated look back on his face and slinging the shield again.
The way it was designed was that the shield was magnetized to the main bracer on Conner's forearm, and when used it would demagnetize and be allowed to whirl throughout the air.
CLANG!
Just as it was doing now.
I quickly ducked again, and again the shield didn't come near me.
Conner had taken up the corner of the area, using it to practice throwing and catching his shield; however it wasn't exactly all safe.
CLANG!
After getting back up, I looked again at the console that was connected to the astrolabe, and trying to understand the full controls of it.
While the device I took from team RWBY transported us here, that's all it was, a returning device; it had nothing to do with transporting there. With the console, I could activate the astrolabe and get us back to our world; however there are several things wrong with that scenario.
One, I had to understand how this thing operates; while I could easily work the returning device, I wasn't exactly an Einstein with computers. The best I could do was tinker with it carefully and hope that I did the right thing and not set off alarms.
Two, I had to figure out the exact…location of where our world was; I had no idea how Ozpin discovered the exact location of our world but I didn't want to throw in a random location and-
CLANG!
-and end up completely away from Earth.
Plus we only had one shot at it.
After clicking on different programs I look up at the other person in our group.
Will…
…
CLANG!
…
I think I should probably confiscate his secondary weapons.
Taking a moment, I looked up at the crazy red-head.
He was currently throwing knives-
CLANG!
-at his backpack, which was filled with his school binders, folders, etc.
When we returned to the astrolabe room, it was then that I got a better look at his weapons. The knives were simple and smooth, with a grip that rounded near the end, and did not have a cross-guard. His swords seemed to be complete mirrors of each other; both were single edged and had a leather grip on each blade, while the cross-guard of each weapon was sharp on one end but on the other side was flat.
Then there were the matter of the belts Will had on. One belt went around his waist, with multiple knives on the front, all bent at a certain angle, with spacing between the buckle, and two more on the back; however one solitary knife was placed on the back of the leather belt horizontally, with the hilt on the right side.
Two loops were sewn on the sides, where two steel swords hung by only the cross-guard of the blade. The other two belts went crossed along the front of the boy's wiry chest, while-
CLANG!
-while extra padding was placed on Will's shoulders, and held several throwing knives that looked to be protruding from his shoulders; Will was throwing the knives that lay on his shoulders instead of the ones on his belt.
I didn't question why, it seemed that Will wanted to get a feel for the shoulders first.
CLANG!
Ducking again, I decided to stop with the console; rubbing my face, I moved to the wall before sitting down and leaning my back against the stone.
I did want to ensure that what happened in Ports class never happened again, however there weren't that many places to practice shooting a gun/ using a spear…plus there was still the problem of ammunition.
Sighing, I look back at my bag before making sure that the other two were focused on their practicing. When I knew they weren't looking, I reached into the bottom of my bag; when I felt the cloth wrapped item, I let myself relax slightly.
CLANG!
This time the shield did go over the console.
"DAMIAN!" Conner shouted.
"I'm fine," I shouted back, "Be careful though."
Might as well head back to work.
Ozpin took another sip of his coffee, flicking through his Scroll again a frown formed onto his face.
Still the difficulty with the exercise though…
BANG!
Blinking, Ozpin looked up at the other side of his clockwork office; after a moment a grin formed its way onto his face.
Seeing what Mr. Cipher has done now would beat any of the work he was doing.
Grabbing his cane, Ozpin made his way out of the office and down the short hall to where the sound came from.
It was funny, Mr. Cipher had dearly called it 'The Robot Room' and spent most of his time at Beacon inside that room; he really wanted to get his weapon right.
It made Ozpin upset to hear the comments his colleague made.
'He is not fully competent and fails to live up to the expectations set by this school' Glynda had stated firmly to him earlier that day. It made him upset that the woman could not see the potential this boy had, instead of looking at him as a person, she constantly looked at the stats she had and the short brief observations she had made.
It was one of her flaws, and she knew it, but decided to ignore it.
However, Ozpin did not claim to be better, he had made many more mistakes then she had.
Pushing the buttons on the panel, the door opened and Ozpin walked inside.
"Phyllis are you ready?"
"Affirmative Jerry."
"Great."
Ozpin silently watched the boy.
"Continuing on, begin test two. Phyllis, use half of the force this time, alright? Testing in three…two…one."
PSHOOOWWW!
BANG!
…
Thud.
"Uuuuugggghhhh."
Ozpin failed to stop the laugh that came from him, as a robotic arm swooped in and sprayed Jerry with a fire extinguisher.
"Yeah, yeah I'm good Phyllis!" the boy shouted.
The robot arm stopped.
"Affirmative."
Groaning, the boy pulled himself up and shook his head, causing all of the white foam to fly off his head.
"Having trouble?"
Jerry jumped when he heard the older man speak, but relaxed when he recognized Ozpin.
"Sort of," Jerry admitted, "I'm almost finished working out the kinks."
Ozpin nodded, "It looks rather…unorthodox," he admitted, "I have not seen a weapon like that before."
Jerry scratched his head bashfully, "I'm…sort of stealing the design from…a group. Originally, it was part of a comic book, then made into a movie…and I just took it from there."
Ozpin nodded, "Wait…a comic book?"
Jerry nodded.
Ozpin smiled, "Perhaps there is something you can help me with Mr. Cipher," he stated.
The younger boy cocked his head, "How so?"
Ozpin gestured to the door, "Come, let's go to my office and I'll explain there.
Jerry nodded, "One second, I need to leave my stuff with Phyllis; she's going to need to fill up the…batteries."
Ozpin nodded, "That was what this room was meant for Mr. Cipher."
"Yeah, what is this room called?"
By then, the younger boy and Ozpin had just walked out of the room, "Its original name is the 'Weapons Manufacturing and Testing' or WMT room, its purpose is to act as a sort of repair center for the other students…and to ensure that all weapons are working in pristine condition."
Jerry nodded, "Does that mean that I've been taking up too much time in there?" he asked.
Ozpin chuckled, "I've pacified them with 'it's a good cause' and that sends them off."
Jerry chuckled a bit, "Well, I should be just about done soon."
By then, the duo had reached the Headmasters office.
"Shall we?" Ozpin asked.
"Yes," Jerry stated, "So what exactly are we working on?" he asked.
Ozpin smiled, "A certain…exercise for-"
Jerry's POV…
Drip.
Plop…
Drip.
Plop…
Drip.
Plop…
Wincing, I drape my hand over my head as I rolled over…only to crash down onto a stone floor.
Now fully awake, I then took a look at my surroundings.
I was inside of a stone room, rather old fashioned, like a medieval castle; while there wasn't any windows, there was only one door and a window illuminated the room.
Revealing four beds, where four people lay asleep.
Team RWBY.
Blake was curled up into a ball, her bow twitching slightly in her sleep; Yang was splayed out on the bed with her mouth open and snoring loudly…I am assuming that since the others have been living together for this time, they have built up immunity to the sound…that or whatever brought us here drugged us pretty good.
Weiss was on her back and not moving…how she was positioned reminded me of the old Sleeping Beauty movie back in 1940 something; Ruby was on her side with her hands up near her head, as Yang's snore would lessen for a moment I noticed that Ruby was also snoring…however it was soft and…kinda cute.
As I pondered on how to wake up the girls, (I had accidentally woken my mom up when I was younger…I can still feel where I got hit by the paddle) I noticed a shiny metal whistle.
Getting a grin, I pick up the whistle before bringing it to my lips.
FWWWWEEEEEEETTTTT!
"WHA!"
"ACK!"
"RUBY!"
"Uuuggghhh."
Weiss sat up, glaring at her team leader she got off the bed, "I thought we agreed to never do that again!"
Ruby held up her hands, "It wasn't me!" she exclaimed, "I don't know where that came from!"
Yang yawned as she stretched her arms up and shook her hair out, as she did her eyes fell on me, "Uh guys?" she said.
All four girls looked at me; I raised a hand, "Hi."
It was then that Weiss glared at me, "A whistle?"
I too held up my hands, "What? I have experience with getting yelled at by my mother when waking her up so I chose the best defense; Loud and far away."
Yang's hair began to glow, "So creeping into our room and is how you will wake us up?"
"Yang."
Weiss narrowed her eyebrows, "How long were you standing in our room?" she demanded.
I blinked, "Erm-"
"I think both of you should calm down," I heard Blake say.
"Why? Shouldn't you be more concerned since he is in our room?!" Weiss demanded.
"If both of you would calm down, you'd notice that we aren't in our room."
That's when Weiss and Yang looked around and finally noticed that they were inside a different room.
Then Ruby spoke up, "We aren't in our pajamas…"
I blinked, it was then that I noticed that they were all in their usual outfits; looking down, I noticed that I was wearing my combat attire.
"How did we get here?" I hear Yang ask.
I focus down at my feet.
I was wearing my new boots.
"That is a very good question," I say.
Looking around, I see that Yang was glaring at me.
I stared back, "…what?" I asked.
Yang blinked, "Never mind."
However, Blake was the one to reply, "Yang if you noticed there are five beds, we're all in our combat gear, and we don't know where we are."
Ruby patted herself, "I don't have my Scroll."
I checked my pocket…nope.
"That makes two of us," I say.
Yang raised her hand up, "Three."
Blake shook her head.
Weiss sighed, "Five."
Looking back at the door, I pointed at it, "Well I have a feeling this is our one way out."
Team RWBY exchanged looks before nodding, in that moment, almost subconsciously; they became a single unit…like they were actually a combat team…which they were already, but now…more so.
Weiss pulled out Myrtenaster before positioning herself by the left side of the door, Blake had Gambol Shroud in both hands as she walked to the right. Ruby put Crescent Rose into its sniper form as she assumed a position near the back of the room while Yang had Ember Celica out and she walked towards the door.
"Jerry, stand by me," Ruby stated.
As I slowly got next to the scythe wielder, she pushed me behind before saying, "Yang: Piercing Heart."
"Got it," the girl stated, I noticed that Yang had gotten a grin on her face
"Wait," I say, "wouldn't it be more ideal if I-"
Cocking back her fist, Yang smashed it against the door before rushing out.
"Checkmate: Clear the board!"
Blake and Weiss followed Yang.
…
…
…
CODENAMES!
Ruby made them all codenames?! AWESOME!
While I tried to reign in my glee, Ruby shouted out, "How does it look?!"
"All clear!" Yang shouted back.
Ruby and I then walked out; it was then that I saw we were in a large swamp. We were actually just inside of a small stone cottage, which was made of stone, but the roof was made of large tree leaves, which explains the dripping water.
"Where are we?" Blake asked.
Weiss' nose upturned as she saw the mud nearby, "The boonies."
As I looked around, I had a sense of unease, "I don't think so."
It was then that I activated my weapons, I felt the gauntlets rotate and move across my forearms, along with the feeling of something clamping onto my calves at mid-length.
Ruby looked around, shifting Crescent Rose into a scythe, "Let's move forward, this place gives me the creepy-crawlies."
With that, we move deeper into the swamp with our feet crushing the mix of dirt and fallen tree branches, Weiss and I used our Glyphs to leap over large patches of water; Blake used her ribbon while Yang and Ruby used the recoil of their guns to move onwards.
"So…does anyone know how we ended up here?" Yang asked.
"Last thing I remember was us being in our dorms," Blake stated.
Sounds of agreement came from Ruby and Weiss.
Yang looked at me, "And you?" she asked.
I frowned, "I was just finishing up my weapons before Ozpin came in, he and I were just heading up to walk into his office and talk about something. The moment I walked inside the office…nothing."
Yang nodded her head before slowly turning back to the front.
By then we had reached a sort of clearing, the trees had opened up to a large pool of water with a stone cliff at the back; looking around I also noticed that the tree's seemed to swallow up the rock on both sides.
I felt a weird feeling, a mix of happiness and dread.
Walking forward, Yang stretched her arms over her head, "Jeez, this place goes on forever!" she exclaimed.
"It appears we are at a dead end," Weiss stated, taking out her rapier and sinking it into the ground so she could lean on it.
"I don't think so," I say slowly.
That feeling of dread grew.
As Weiss opened her mouth, a hiss spread throughout the area.
We all looked around; Yang was the ever optimistic one, "Probably nothing?"
"No."
"Give me a minute."
We all look at Blake, who had her eyes concentrated, I noticed as her bow twitched several times.
"What is it?" Ruby asked.
"Something…big, reptilian maybe, is heading this way."
The red-themed girl hoisted up her scythe, "A King Taijitu?" she asked.
"No," Blake said, "It sounds…like several hissing, more than two."
I snapped on my suspenders, "Where is it now?"
Her frown deepening, Blake's bow twitched several more times before her eyes opened.
"It…vanished," she said.
"What?"
Then I got a gut feeling, like we were being watched; tuning out the other conversations I peered around the area. Nothing was moving around the tree line, a breeze was skimming across the pond but that was it.
"I don't know how Weiss!" Blake exclaimed, "But it did."
"Clearly you do not understand," Weiss said, her hands on her waist, "It is impossible for something of that size to just disappear."
There was something tickling at my mind.
I moved back and looked at the girls, Ruby had just zoomed back from somewhere in the swamp.
"Nothing behind us," she stated.
I watched as her Semblance left rose petals falling in her wake.
…
…
…
Rose petals…
"Ruby, come here for a moment."
The scythe wielder walked up to me with a calm face, "Sorry about earlier with the whole-"
"No it's…fine," I say, "I get."
"Good that's…good to hear."
I then pointed at the pond, "Ruby, you see those ripples too right?" I asked.
Ruby nodded.
"Meaning there's a breeze?"
Ruby nodded much more slowly.
I let out a frustrated breath; that thing was still tickling my mind.
"Why can't I feel it?" Ruby asked.
I looked at the girl, now the feeling of dread returned.
"Why are there ripples on the water-" I say.
"-when there isn't a breeze blowing," Ruby finished.
Eyes widening, we slowly turned to the pond, where I then saw a pair of bright yellow eyes staring back at us.
"Oh…cheeseballs."
Then the thing began to rise up.
As it rose I saw that it didn't resemble a King Taijitu at all…because it had three heads.
The body itself was covered in jet black scales, however the scales turned lighter as it reached each individual head; the monster had four feet that I could faintly make out in the pond and fins along the arms, its spine and covered the top and the sides of the creatures head, which looked very snakelike…however it had many sharp teeth.
I discovered that as it snarled at us.
Something wrapped around my waist before I was sent flying backwards, while one of the heads bit down where I was just standing. I then see that Weiss raised Myrtenaster, the center clicking as she stabbed the blade into the water, freezing the entire pond.
"Stay back!" Ruby shouted.
Not risking anything, I looked around before leaping behind a fallen log; sticking to observing this fight right now.
I bit my lip…no…it was too soon to use Lambent.
"Freezer Burn!"
Yang launched herself at the thing and punching it hard in the right head's face, then moving with the attack she rolled over and onto her feet before sliding down its neck before using her gauntlets to fire several rounds at the monsters body to launcher herself onto the cliff wall.
A moment later, a Glyph appeared onto the cliff, which Yang hit and caused her to rocket back where she punched the thing again before landing back on our side.
"Synchronization: Bumblebee on a White Rose!"
COOL!
Blake tossed Gambol Shroud to Yang before the Faunus girl began to spin on her feet, using Ember Celica Yang sped up the process and soon Blake was spinning a yellow blur; with a shout Yang released Gambol Shroud and flew at the creature again, this time at the left head.
Looking back I see Ruby with her scythe back as Weiss conjured a Glyph beneath her feet.
"Golden Rose!"
Yang was a blur of yellow as she dodged and punched the monster, which were all snarling and darting around to try and catch the girl.
"Prepare to be amazed!" Yang shouted, "So much, that your jaws to hit the floor!"
Getting onto her hands, Yang pushed herself up and whirling her legs around like a mini tornado, causing all three heads to be launched upwards and backwards.
Ruby then swooped in before swinging Crescent Rose. A moment later, all three of the beings heads were removed; rotating in the air they moved from the force of the scythe and landed onto the swampy floor.
"Literally."
Ruby landed on the ground, her scythe over her shoulders.
Players and Pieces Part 2.
'Well…that was a thing,'
Getting back to her feet she smiled before beginning to walk back to the others.
"Great job team!" she said.
Weiss returned her rapier back to her waist before striding forward, Blake was calm and walked towards where Yang was standing; said brawler was smiling broadly and had punched her fist into her opposite hand.
As Ruby continued to speak, a flicker of movement caught my eye; it was the body of the monster.
The area where the head had been removed began to twitch…
…
…
No…
It was regenerating.
Muscle began to form and rise as scales began to cover the exposed tissue; but there was more…it had split in half…and it was still growing!
...
It was growing another head.
I was temporarily thrown out of things when I heard Blake exclaim, "It's not over yet!"
Team RWBY looked back at the monster, weapons drawn, only to see that it fully regrown, however now it had six heads instead of three. An extra head for every one removed.
…
…
I know this.
Ducking behind the fallen log, I concentrated.
"I know this," I muttered, "You know this Jerry but from what? Think!"
Another head for the one removed.
Two heads for every one cut off.
Cut off one head, two more will take its place.
That was the phrase, but it sounds different.
The accent, it wasn't American
"Cu' off one 'ead, two mor' 'll take its place."
British/ Cockney accent…nope.
It definitely wasn't French…
"Cut off one head, two more shall take its place."
German.
There was more.
"Hail Hydr- OHHH! OhohoHO that is brilliant!"
I got it!
Peeking back over, I see that Blake was nowhere to be seen, Weiss was conjuring multiple Glyph while Ruby was leaping from the tree's trying to get another shot at the creature.
The Hydra.
Crescent Rose, Myrtenaster, Gambol Shroud: all had blade and were sharp.
Crescent Rose: Curved blade, designed for slashing attacks, embedded itself into stone.
Yes.
Myrtenaster: Rapier, designed for stab's and thrusts.
Nope.
Gambol Shroud: Thin blade, but still sharp enough to cut through robots.
Yup.
Yang Xiao Long: Little Sun Dragon; fire.
Bingo.
Leaping over the fallen tree, I spot Yang looking carefully at the Hydra.
"Yang!" I shout, "I figured it out!"
"Not now Jerry," Yang growled.
"But you really need to-"
In that moment, the Hydra growled and a head came shooting forward.
More on instinct, I grabbed Yang with one hand and conjured a Vine Glyph with the other before leaping backwards into the tree's.
When we landed, Yang pushed herself off and began sprinting back towards the Hydra.
"Yang wait!" I exclaimed.
"Jerry, not only is my team in danger," Yang began, her hair glowing, "but my little sister, now if you think I am just-"
"IT'S A HYRDA!" I shouted.
Yang stopped.
Not wasting anytime, I continued, "I recognize it from my world, it's widely known as the Lernaean Hydra, from Greek mythology. It is a water serpent with multiple heads and it was well known because every time you cut off a head, two more would grow back! We can't kill it by just cutting off the head."
Yang growled, "That is exceptionally not helpful, do you even known how to kill it then?!"
I nodded, "The Hydra was one of the Twelve Labors of Hercules, set by Hera, goddess of marriage and queen of the gods. Hercules-"
Yang clamped a hand over my mouth, "How. Do. We. Kill. It?!"
I quickly pulled off the hand, "We have to cut off the head, but after it is removed we need to press fire against the wound and cauterize it. Then the head won't grow back."
As Yang attempted to run away again, I grabbed her arm, "I have a plan."
Before she could complain, I cut her off, "Look I know I can't fight at all, but I know how it was killed; while three people here had weapons that are sharp, only Ruby and Blake have weapons efficient enough to remove a head. I know how we all can pull this off, now for goodness sake. Let. Me. Help!"
Yang glared at me before biting her lip, "If you get hurt, it's on you."
"Deal."
We sprinted back towards the fight, by then I see that it had two extra heads.
"Where's Blake?" I asked.
"The tree's," she said, "Now what's this 'plan' exactly?"
"I need you and Weiss distract the Hydra, I'll find Blake in the trees, but I also need Ruby for this next part so can you get her up there; once I explain everything to them, I'll come back here to you."
"I think you're an idiot," Yang growled.
"Good to hear."
With that, I conjured a Vine Glyph and launched myself up into the tree's.
"HEY YOU SLIMEY HYDRA! COME AT ME!"
Shooting upwards, I manage to get up level with a branch which I landed on before latching myself onto the tree.
This…could have been more thought out.
Maneuvering around the tree, I began to run (Carefully) across the thicker branches; every time I needed to cross, I would find where two branches would line up, but only cross where it was just a few yards apart.
"Blake!"
After a moment of rustling, legs popped out of the foliage before the said girl dropped down.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, "It's too-"
Remembering Yang, I made my comments short, "That's a Hydra, I know how to kill it and I have a plan to."
BANG!
A moment later, Ruby had landed onto a branch, "Jerry! What are you doing here?!"
I groaned, "Hydra. Plan."
Ruby went silent, "I don't like you being here as you're risking your life, but explain."
"Great," I pointed at them, "You two are the only ones with bladed weapons that are suited for this task. You need to cut off their heads," I say.
"But they'll regrow," Ruby stated.
I smiled, "Not if Weiss and Yang do their job correctly; once I tell them what to do, that's when you go in. Blake, you're going to be paired with Weiss, the plan is after you cut off the head, Weiss will use her Dust and quickly shut the wound. She should have enough Dust for several small uses if she does it efficiently, which I believe she will. Ruby, you, Yang and I will work together as well."
I saw Ruby tighten a bit but she didn't say a word, "You have the same job as Blake, now while Yang has no trouble with her setting herself and her weapons on fire, they don't have the speed or power to burn long enough. I know that I can use my Glyphs to enhance attacks, maybe I can use it on bullets too."
Ruby nodded.
"Blake…do you think you can get me down?" I asked a bit sheepishly.
As Blake nodded, Ruby strode forward before placing a hand on my shoulder, "Be careful."
"I'll do my best," I state.
Wrapping a cloth around my hand, Blake said, "Hold tight."
With that she pushed me off the branch, as I fell it took me a moment to realize that she meant to use me as a pendulum that would swing me back into the battle. I wasn't concerned as I used a Vine Glyph to get back to the ground, thankfully near Yang.
"You have a plan?"
Great entry Weiss.
"Yes, Blake and Ruby are going to be the ones to cut off the heads. Weiss, you with Blake, after she removes the head you need to use your Dust to-"
"-burn shut the wounds, understood."
With that Weiss left.
"And me?" Yang demanded.
"You and Ruby work together, but when you launch your blasts; I'm going to use my Glyphs to enhance the attack, ensuring that the attacks actually close the wound."
Yang nodded before saying, "Then stand away, you don't want to be caught up in this."
Yellow trailer.
Players and Pieces Part 1 and 2.
I take five large steps back…and another step.
"Synchronization: Burning Rose in Monochrome!"
Yang grinned before smashing her fists together, her hair shooting up into the air.
It wasn't long before blurs of red, white, and black were darting around; the sound of gunshots filled the air.
I stayed close to Yang, who occasionally shot a round at the Hydra to ensure it didn't take a bite out of Ruby.
With a concentrated look, Blake zoomed in as she took Gambol Shroud in both of her hands and slashing off one of the heads; not a moment later, as the head was flying through the air, Weiss zoomed in with her rapier before stabbing into the empty spot where the Hydra head just was. With a mix of a fire and a shriek of pain from the Hydra, Weiss leapt from the Hydra and quickly landed onto the ground; one of the heads hissed before lunging at the heiress.
"HYA!"
Ruby swooped in before neatly cutting that head off as well.
Summoning a Glyph, I placed it in front of Yang, who began firing shots like no tomorrow; the moment the blasts went through my green Glyph, the crimson bullets would darken before zooming at a faster speed. With the change in speed, the low whistling was a much higher pitch.
The shots from Ember Celica made a small explosion where the head was, and the Hydra let loose another shriek.
Two down, four to go.
SHINK!
BSHHH!
By then, the two heads were the ones right next to each other, team RWBY and myself were standing at the tree line.
"Two left!" Ruby shouted.
With that, they charged.
Then everything went wrong.
With a loud 'CRASH' the Hydra ripped it free from the frozen pond and swung its heads at the approaching team; I quickly hit the ground before wrapping my arms over my head.
Weiss dodged the first few before being knocked backwards from a larger piece of ice, Ruby was swinging Crescent Rose so fast that it was a blur of steel and crimson. Yang's natural flames would melt most of the ice that approached and her fists took care of any that were still dangerous, Blake was the picture of grace as she flawlessly dodged every single ice chunk.
Even though I was at risk at my life…
…
…
…
GGGAAAAAAHHHHH! SOOOOO CCCCCOOOOOOOLLLL!
Blake fired Gambol Shroud at an ice piece, sending it flying back to the Hydra. The icy object hit the creature before exploding into sharp little pieces, Ruby then rushed in with her scythe and quickly cut off the second head and with Yang being in close proximity of the Hydra, the wound was quickly cauterized.
The Hydra let out a loud screech before swinging up one of its claws and knocking up more of the frozen ice.
It hit all three girls.
Yang went skidding to the right somewhere while Blake was slammed into a tree, however it was Ruby that came rocketing backwards, rocketing into me.
Comfy Target strikes again.
Sitting up, I heard Ruby groan slightly as the Hydra left the pond.
And began to stalk towards us.
No choice…
I had to use Lambent.
I quickly conjured a Wind Glyph to slow down time, and a Vine Glyph to move Ruby and I away from advancing the Hydra head, as it advanced in slow motion, I set Ruby down and prepared for the fight.
Flicking my left arm up, a part of the metal slid back, revealing a small keypad, after typing in the code, it turned on with a soft whine.
Then a line appeared in green, spiking up before moving back to the straight line. After tapping the screen again, it had a bar with a '5%' on it, I quickly placed a finger on the bar and slid it to the right until it read '50%' power.
I didn't know how much it would take, but I needed to kill this thing.
As the piece of metal moved back, I looked up to see the head was near, with the teeth about to bite down.
Conjuring a Vine Glyph I launched myself forwards, I dodged the last head before slamming my hands into the creature chest.
BOOM!
With a loud screech and the sound of an explosion, the Hydra was sent flying back into the pound and crashed into the stone wall; with that moment of time, I then looked back at the top of the bracers.
Ten capsules the size of marbles were on the back of each bracer, with a unique while six of them were white, the other four were two different colors. Red, and blue.
Both capsules on each bracer that held red were empty.
Had to tap into the main source.
Walking forward, I cupped my hands together, just above each other; as I was right by the pond I quickly kneeled.
The last Hydra head growled at me.
I smirked as I heard a high-pitched whine.
I growled back at the Hydra.
Thrusting out my hands, my arms were parallel with each other as a massive, pure white energy beam, shot out of my palms and blasted the Hydra; with a loud screech the being was swallowed up by the brilliant light.
After a few moments I quickly cut off the blast…
Revealing a charred body with a lack of a head.
…
…
And a partially destroyed cliff wall
I let out a breath as I glanced back at the capsules; four of the white had faded.
I sighed as I looked back up at the destruction, "Well...not the way I wanted to test these things out."
"W-Whoa."
A whistle, "Well…that really was a thing."
"How?"
"Astonishing."
I looked around to see all of team RWBY staring at me. Ruby's jaw was dropped and her quivering hand was pointing at me, Weiss' blue eyes were…completely white; Blake had her amber eyes wide and Yang had a look of respect and awe.
I blinked at them, "What?"
A/N: This chapter took and was WAAYY longer than I had planned. TO explain Jerry, imagine the position for the 'Kamehameha' from Dragon Balls. No, Jerry is not OP he does have a weakness which will be revealed in the next chapter…I hope.
