Guess who's back?! I am truly sorry for the super long absence. My bad. A lot has happened in the past few months and to be honest finding any time to write has been a bit of a bitch. So please forgive me. :)
Also my email decided for like a month to put all the emails of follows and reviews and stuff into my spam folder (weird I know) so I didn't get them for ages. So thanks for them and thanks to you all I guess. I'll try and update as soon as I can.
PS: Anyone watch RWBY? Do it, it's so awesome. I can't even explain how awesome it is.
Anyways enjoy! :)
"That's awesome! Now what are you going to do about it?"
"What am I…? What AM I going to do about it?" She asked more to herself than Lady. This was one of the most important moments of her life. "I have to tell her. I need to tell her."
"Great idea."
"But I can't do that yet. I have to tell my parents first."
"Wow. That's a pretty big step to take Bonnibel. Are you sure you're ready?"
Bonnie looked at Lady, nodding confidently. "I'm ready. I need to be… myself. I need to stop hiding. I should pack my things first. It'll make it easier for when they kick me out." She laughed sadly.
Lady gave her an apologetic smile. "Maybe it'll all work out okay?" She offered.
"Thanks Lady but we both know what those two are like." Bonnie began to throw some of her clothes into a pink suitcase.
"Need some help?"
"No I'm okay. Thanks though."
"Okay well I'm gunna head home. Call me if you need anything, you know, a place to stay, a new family. Anything." She smiled before heading out into the heavy rain. Bonnie couldn't help but smile at her friend, being so laid back she most likely didn't even realise it was raining. 'Must be nice' she thought to herself as she continued packing.
Finishing up, she took a deep breath and steeled herself. She was aware that what she was about to do was going to drastically change her life and she was terrified.
"Come on Bonnibel. It's now or never." She told herself before she left the room and headed downstairs. She had left the suitcase on her bed, a small part of her hoping she wouldn't need it. Her heart beat had quickened as she approached the living room and she was finding it hard to catch her breath. She took a seat in the arm chair to the left of the sofa her father was sitting on and attempted to compose herself before calling her mother.
"Mom, could you come in here a sec!" She yelled, earning a disapproving look from her father. She rolled her eyes. 'If he thinks that's bad he's going to love what I'm about to say next' she said to herself.
"What is it Bonnibel?" Her mother asked as she walked into the room. She stood in the doorway waiting for an answer.
"I think you'll want to sit down for this." She advised, gesturing to the seat next to her father. It was now that her father decided to look up from his paper. He and her mother shared a worried look as she took her seat. Bonnie stared at her hands, wringing them in her lap as she tried to think of how to word this.
"Out with it, Bonnibel." Her father's stern voice commanded. For a minister the man had very little patience.
"I need to tell you guys something. It's very important and will affect the rest of my life so it'd be great if you wouldn't hate me."
Her mother gasped."You're pregnant!"
"What?!" Both she and her father gasped at the same time.
"How could you be so stupid-" Her father began but she tuned it out. It took all her willpower not to burst out into laughter as he ranted. It wasn't really funny but for some reason her body felt like she needed a good laugh right now.
Finally calming herself she tuned back into the conversation happening in front of her. Her father was spouting out what she could only assume were bible verses as her mother shook her head, question when her daughter had become such a harlot.
"No, no people that's not it. I'm not pregnant. But thanks for the support. Much appreciated." She gave them a thumbs up.
"Well then what is it?"
"It's actually not much better. To you guys anyway. I am-" She paused here. It made the whole thing a lot more dramatic but actually her throat had just become extremely dry. "Gay." She finally croaked out, hoping they heard her and she wouldn't have to repeat it.
She looked at them, waiting for some form of acknowledgement that they heard.
Eventually, after what felt like hours, her father spoke.
"I don't believe this. How could you be? I thought we raised you better than this?" He looked at her with a range of emotions. "No it's not right. You're just sick. We can get you help."
Bonnie raised her eyebrows before looking from her father to her mother, who was nodding her head in agreement.
"Being gay isn't an illness, Dad. It's who I am. I'm still Bonnibel. I'm still your daughter."
"No daughter of mine would choose to be something so disgusting. Are you trying to hurt us? Is that it?!" He shouted.
"I am not disgusting!" She jumped up out the chair, her fists balled at her side. She was upset and angry. "This isn't about you two! It's about me and my life! I'm sorry if you can't accept me for being who I am!" She shouted back. Apparently anger was the more dominant emotion at the father stood to face her. She could hear her mother sobbing in the chair but she really couldn't care anymore.
"Bonnibel, either you stop this little game that you're playing or so help me I'll-"
"You'll what, Dad? Send me to straight camp so I can be cleansed of all this gayness?!"
"Don't get smart with me young lady. I won't tolerate that kind of behaviour in this house. Or any kind of disgusting behaviour for that matter. Now apologise to your mother and me."
"Apologise for being a lesbian? No, Dad. I'm can't do that." An awkward silence fell over the room, broken by her mother's occasional sniffling, as Bonnie waited for another argument to begin. One didn't however. Instead her father spoke in an eerily calm voice one might hear in a horror movie.
"Then get out."
She had expected this. She was ready. She stood up straight and looked her father directly in the eyes. "Fine." She said with conviction before brushing past him and running up stairs to get her case.
She glanced around the now considerably empty room to make sure she had everything. Pulling the case onto the ground she carried it downstairs to the hallway. Taking one last look at her parents, who didn't even glance in her direction, she grabbed her car keys from the bowl and left the house.
She was drenched as soon as she stepped foot outside. Wearing only the t-shirt Marcy had given her, a pair of skinny jeans and white converse, she really wasn't dressed for this kind of weather. All her sweatshirts were in the case she was now pulling behind her and to get one out would be a real pain.
She walked past her car, her mind telling her she really wasn't in any fit state to drive. She could come back for it tomorrow when they weren't there. Plus to her it felt like the rain was a symbol. Like it was cleansing her of whom she used to be, of the Bonnibel she was pretending to be, so she could be her true self.
She walked down the road pulling the pink suitcase behind her, having no real destination in mind. She should just take out her phone and call Lady but something, she didn't know what, was telling her to walk. It was now that Bonnie decided she could cry, her hot tears blending with the cold rain already falling on her cheeks.

"Where is the stupid piece of plastic shit!" she screamed to herself throwing pillows behind her head and shoving her hand down beneath the sofa cushions. She needed to ring Marshall to see if he was still alive. Sure she hated him at the moment but the storm outside made her uneasy plus since they haven't spoken since the other day she had absolutely no idea where he was. 'Thank Glob that idiot decided to walk.' She huffed as she withdrew her hand and tried to think of where else to look.
She ran through in her head all the places in the house she'd been today. She couldn't remember having it in any of the rooms she was in. In fact the last place she definitely had it was…
"The car!" she exclaimed before looking out the window at the rain. She groaned, not wanting to get soaked just because she was stupid and left her phone in the car. Sighing, she threw a hoodie on over her white Avengers t-shirt and pulled the hood up before grabbing the two sets of keys and shoving the house ones in her jean's pocket. She cursed the fact she hadn't parked in the driveway, but beside the curb instead.
She opened the door and sprinted as fast as she could to the car, opening the driver's seat door and kneeling on the seat. She looked in the glove box, under the passenger's seat and all around the front of the car before finally checking under the driver's seat. Her hand clasped around the phone and she jumped with excitement, smacking her head off the roof of the car in the process.
"Fuck!" She screamed, before slowly manoeuvring backwards into the pouring rain. As she closed the car door she heard something weird through the noise of the rain. Like something scraping smoothly along the concrete.
Marcy was shocked as she turned to try and find the source of the strange noise. Walking down the middle of the road, about 15 meters away, wheeling what looked like a giant pink suitcase was Bonnie. She had to squint to make her out in the haze the rain created but she was one hundred percent sure it was her.
She opened her mouth but paused, unsure she wanted to do what she was about to do. 'Fuck it' she thought before she called out the pink haired girl's name. She walked slowly out into the middle of the road and repeated her name, this time Bonnie was a lot closer, maybe just a couple of meters away. She stopped and looked up, shocked to hear anyone call her name, let alone Marcy.
Marcy pulled down her hood just to let Bonnie know it was her though she already knew. She noticed the look of concern on Marcy's face and then remembered that she must look like a drowned rat with pink hair.
"H… hey Marcy." She gave a small wave and used her hair to cover her face, knowing that Marcy would know she had been crying if she looked at her. Her sniffing probably gave it away anyway but maybe she would just think it was from the rain.
"Bonnie… what's going on? What happened?" Marceline asked although she knew it wasn't good.
"Oh you know… I just kinda came out to my parents and they kicked me out. No big deal." Her voice had begun to crack at the last part and she couldn't hold back her tears any longer. Her body shook violently from a mixture of her crying the freezing cold she was standing in.
Marceline felt ill. This was her fault. She had pushed Bonnie to this point and now look what had happened. She ran towards her and wrapped her arms around the distraught teenager.
"I'm so sorry Bonnie. I didn't mean for this to happen. This is all my fault." She whispered in her ear. She felt tears run down her cheeks as she clung to Bonnie, tying to show her how sorry she was.
Bonnie lifted her arm up and lightly pushed Marcy off her, an action Marceline thought was out of anger. But the look Bonnie gave her was one of pure confusion.
"Marcy, none of this is your fault."
"I pushed you into it Bonnie. You weren't ready and now your parents have kicked you out." She looked down at her shoes, ashamed.
Bonnie smiled genuinely as she cupped Marcy's cheek with her free hand. "I was ready. And the reason I knew I was ready was because I realised I'm in love with you, Marceline Abadeer. I had to tell them because I was sick of hiding it. It's nobody's fault that they couldn't handle it except theirs." She told her as she wiped away some tears with her thumb. She was shocked that Marceline blamed herself. "Marcy I want to be with you and you made me realise that to do that I had to come clean."
Marcy looked up at Bonnie seeing her warm smile as her thumb continued to gently brush against her cheek. She smirked. "You said you love me."
Bonnie let out a small laugh. "Yes, and I meant it."
Marceline slowly took Bonnie's hand in hers, her smirk turning into a smile. "Good, coz I love you too. Now shut up and kiss me." She closed the gap between them and pressed her lips to Bonnie's. She had been longing to feel them against hers for so long she had almost forgotten just how soft they were.
Once they broke apart Bonnie placed her forehead against Marceline. "Can we go inside now? I'm freaking freezing." Marcy laughed, grabbing Bonnie's hand and pulling both her and her suitcase into the dry sanctuary of her house.
