Title: Memento Mori
Summary: Can Tony keep himself and Gibbs from dying?

A/N: As I stated in Chapter One, this fic was a birthday present for GibbsRules. All she had to do was supply the prompt(s). I decided to post the ideas she gave me for anyone who cares or is/was curious.

For the curious: Story Prompt
Team Gibbs has had a hectic couple of weeks trying to solve a case and are looking forward to a four day weekend off that Gibbs has managed to secure for them.
Gibbs is looking forward to some 'downtime' as Jackson is coming over from Stillwater to stay with him for the entire weekend.
A couple of hours before they are due to leave the office to start their time off, they get a lead on the case and Gibbs being Gibbs decides to send the rest of his team home as he thinks he can wrap up the loose ends before his dad arrives. Tony being as stubborn as he is decides to stay behind to help so they head off to check out the lead.
Meanwhile Jackson arrives, ends up in the 'wrong place at the wrong time' and finds himself unwittingly involved in the latest lead that Gibbs and Tony have gone to follow up.
Gibbs and Tony run into some trouble resulting in Gibbs being knocked out and ending up in hospital with a slight concussion. (Avoid the memory loss/Hiatus thing, but include some 'Gibbs bashing').
Tony suffers a few injuries too. Also include his penchant for throwing himself into situations with very little thought to his own safety and his feelings of guilt at every situation even if he's not to blame.
