I apologize for any mistakes!
He'd been having the same dream since it happened four years ago. He watched, as the patrol fell, and the Orcs came, and dragged one of the only two people left in his life away. And he could do nothing. And he was helpless. He heaved a shuddering sob, crossing his arms over himself. His youngest was gone. His other child, Anandúne, came in the room, a sad smile on his face, and enveloped his usually strong father in his arms.
"Shh..." An cooed, as if to a child. "I know you see it too. When I lose my eyes, I hear his laugh, I see his smile, I see his eyes. It won't go away. It's been four years, and it won't go away." The king gave another shuddering sob, pressing his neck more into his son's.
"I feel like I failed him." He finally admitted. An shook his head.
"No, Legolas would never blame you. It wasn't your fault." Thranduil looked up, his eyes red and puffy, his cheeks stained with tears.
Author's Note:
So this part of this story is going to be an arc, you know, a story inside a story. It's going to be about a supposedly dead Legolas. This arc is going to involve another OC of mine, Anandúne, Legolas' older brother. Legolas is, of course, alive and is going to return with the help of Rubah and 'Celebaelin'.
I'm really sorry. I wanted this arc to start with a chapter that was a lot longer, but I also wanted to do a quick view of Anandúne and Thranduil, so you get this! I hope that more of the arc is ready to be published soon!
I think this arc will be about three or four chapters long. But, then again, watch me be completely wrong and end up at like, seven or something!
Review? How do you like Anandúne and Thranduil?
