From now on, I'm going to post on Tuesdays. I'm going to try my best to post each week on that day. If I'm not able to send it on that day exactly, I'll post it a day or two after or before Tuesday. And if I'm not going to write for a while I'll warn you. But I'm not going to ditch you guys for months, like what happened before :) (Yes I know it's Monday, but maybe I'm going to the beach tomorrow, I'm not sure yet, so I'm updating today.)
So anyway, here's chapter 14, where they meet captain Woolbeards. Btw, I'm not good with pirate language, so pls don't say anything if it sucks XD. Enjoy, arrr!
Woolbeard, captain of the boat that sank in 1789. A rival ship had shot multiple cannonballs on captain Woolbeard's vessel, which pierced its hull. Apparently, the brave captain managed to save his crew, but he didn't want to leave his boat, so he decided to stay on the ship while it sank. Captain Woolbeard died drowning. Legend says that he haunts his vessel because he still doesn't want to let it go after death. It looks like the legend's true, because Woolbeard is indeed floating in front of me. But he doesn't look too happy…
"WHO STOLE ME RIBBON!" he yells. "ME BE KILLING WHOEVER TOOK ME PRECIOUS RIBBON! WHERE ARE THOSE SCURVY-INFESTED BUCKO?!"
He suddenly meets my gaze.
"YE! IS IT YE HORNSWAGGLE THAT STOLE ME RIBBON?!"
"N-No sir," I carefully answered, petrified. "I, I didn't touch your ribbon…"
"ME CERTAIN THAT YE ARE THE KUCKLEDHEAD THAT TOOK IT! I'M GOING TO CRUSH YOU! ARRRR!"
He then throws three medallions in the air.
"KRONA, ELASMO AND SHONI, I ORDER YE TO GET OUT!"
The three vivosaurs appear in front of him. Seeing I don't have any other choice I launch my medals too.
"Spinax, Venator and Alectro, I call you!" I yell.
My three medallions change into vivosaurs.
"I BE GOING TO TEAR YE TO PIECES, YE SKALLYWAG!" he angrily shouts.
I swallow nervously. I hear Rosie scream me good luck before the battle starts…

Elasmo falls to the ground, dead. He then transform back into a medal. I pick up my Alectro and Spinax that came back into medallions too. The animal glow in Woolbeard's eyes extinguishes as he pick up his Elasmo off the floor.
I bravely approach the captain to see how he's doing. When he notices me he starts apologizing.
"Arrr, me so sorry mate. When I'm mad me start to lose my marbles a bit. But is it ye that stole me ribbon?"
"No captain. When my friend and I got here the thieves were running away. We can help you find your ribbon if you want."
"Aye, I would really appreciate that mate! But me will not be able to give you a big hand because I don't have a lot of me force left. When I'm mad like earlier it takes a whole load of my energy…"
"It doesn't matter! We'll get your ribbon back for you. So, do you have any idea where the trio from earlier went?"
"Me don't have a clue…"
"How did they trick you anyways?"
"Me be reading a book about legends when I suddenly heard knocks on t' door. Me asked myself who it be because I usually never receive any visits. I opened t' door and then three people in purple entered me room. A girl with pale hair, a folk with a long nose and some pup. They asked me if me wanted to buy some chocolate. That little tidbit be ME favourite treat! I couldn't resist so me rushed to them. They then started talking about how much me wanted, the price of it, and other stuff. It was only the girl that talked; the two others were just standing in a corner chattin'. She then noticed me blue ribbon, that was tied around me beard. The girl then said that it was a lovely ribbon, she asked me where I got it, if I had it since a long time, and a bunch of other useless information. Me was answering her questions without any suspicions. That is when she snatched me ribbon, that I was now holding in me paws. That made me mad. I got enraged and started to wrestle with them, tryin' to recover me most precious treasure. Then me heard "BOOM!"… And, and me don't remember t' rest…
"The noise you heard was the door that exploded. Now I understand. So, you don't know anything that could indicate us where to start?"
"Hold up mate, now that me think of it, yes, I might know somethin' that can help ya. Earlier, t' the guy and dog were talking about a certain Nick Nack . They say that they couldn't trust him, but they couldn't change the girl's mind about it. Arrr!"
"Nick Nack... That name doesn't ring a bell to me, but at least it's a start..."
"I know who it is!"
Rosie runs towards us and starts explaining.
"My granddad knows him, it's one of his friends. Nick Nack is a junk collector! If you find something weird you can sell it to him for money. He will take anything, from a gold vase to a pair of fossilized sandals. That guy is a knick-knack freak! Haha, see what I did there?"
"Very funny," I sarcastically answer. "Anyway, so maybe we could go ask your grandfather where he lives. Then we could pay Nick a little visit and ask him some questions."
"Not bad mate!" exclaims Woolbeard. "Just please find me ribbon! This poor old pirate is begging ye!"
"Would there be some kind of reward if we bring it back to you?" suddenly asks my friend, a mischievous look in her eyes.
"Rosie..." I warn her. I'm about to protest that we don't need to be rewarded but the ghost cuts me off.
"Shiver me timbers, of course! I'll give ye a special book that'll surely help ye as fossil fighters folks!"
"Aw man, not a book!" whines Rosie. "This isn't school!"
"We'll be glad to take whatever you offer us sir," I interrupt her. "We're going to go back in town to search for this Nick Nack. See ya later!"
I then grab Rosie's arm and drag her to the exit. When we're far away enough from Woolbeard's ears I start teasing her.
"It looks like Rosie doesn't like school! The simple mention of a book scares her!"
"Shut up!" she says while playfully pushing me. But I can see that she's laughing too.

We managed to come back to the Fighter Area in one piece. Curiously there weren't any sharks blocking us the way back, it's like they just disappeared. Fossil fighters can now freely circulate in Bottomsum Bay because there's no more danger. We start walking toward M. Richmond's house when we get off the boat.
You know that feeling you have when you think that someone's watching you? Well that's the feeling that was nagging me during the way there. The image of the purple-eyed guy comes back into my mind. I bet it's him that's following me everywhere...
We finally arrive in front of the building. We go inside and board the elevator leading to Rosie's grandfather's office. A "ding!" rings before the doors open. Rosie and I walk towards M. Richmond's desk and collapse on the sofa facing it. He greets us.
"Hello! Well isn't my little girl and her companion! How do you younglings like your day so far?"
Rosie is the one that answers.
"Hi granddad! We have a question to ask you."
"I'm listening."
"Do you know where Nick Nack lives? We need to talk to him."
"For what reason?"
"It's, hum, personnel. It's for a friend. Pleaaase?"
She then gives him her cutest puppy face; no one would be able to refuse anything to that.
"How can I resist that face? Fine, I will tell you. He lives in the hotel, in the second room on the third floor."
"Thanks granddad!"
She gives him a little peck on the cheek before heading back toward the elevator. I say good bye to M. Richmond before following her. Rosie can get everything she wants if she's desperate for it!

We're now in the hotel's lobby. There aren't a lot of people there today. But, there still are some, like that fortune-teller near one of the elevators. She sitting at a little table topped by a crystal ball. The women is wearing a long purple dress with small yellow stars decorating it and a pink scarf covers her hair. I'd estimate that she's around sixty years old, maybe more. Her face is plastered with makeup. The old lady's wrinkled fingers' nails are painted with blue nail polish. I decide asking her to read my future; I'm curious of what's awaiting for me in these coming days...
I tell Rosie to wait here for me before heading toward the seer.
"Hi!" I greet the lady. "Could you read my future?"
"Well of course," she answers me with her raspy voice. "It's going to be three dollars."
I get the money out of my pocket and give it to her. Then I sit on the chair in front of her.
"What's your name?" she asks me.
"Krypter Paleimi."
"Ok."
The lady then puts both her hands on the crystal ball and starts talking. Her green eyes are fixated on the ball.
"I would like to know Krypter Paleimi's future. Help me, oh spirits from Beyond, to foresee the future of this young man."
The crystal ball suddenly lights up. Strips of blue and orange start to move around inside the sphere. The psychic's eyes start glowing and are watching something that only her can see.
"You have a particular fate Krypter." she starts speaking with a deep voice. "You're going to save a lot of people from a... a dinosaur... I do not know what it is exactly, I can hardly distinguish it... I also see a lot of violence and betrayal in your future. You need to be careful who you give your trust to... And finally, you are going to fall in love with someone that is confined."
"Hum..." I say, shocked by what I just heard. "Could you describe the dinosaur?"
"I-I can't... The connection is weak... AAAAH!"
She abruptly removes her hands from the ball. The glimmer in her eyes disappears. Drops of sweat are dripping down her wrinkly forehead.
"It's the first time that a session cost me so much effort..." she weakly mumbles as she puts her palms to her forehead. "I think someone was trying to confuse the connection..."
"Could it be the dinosaur you were speaking of?" I curiously ask.
"Possibly, I do not know... You can go now, I.. I am going to go rest. Do not forget what I told you!"
How could I?
"Yes, thank you, I'll think about it..."
I distant myself from the women, who is now meditating, I think, because she closed her eyes and is talking to herself, and go back toward Rosie. She starts to assail me with questions.
"So what did she say? Did she predict that you're going to meet a mad squirrel at the park? That it's going to rain frogs tomorrow? That you're going to invent a time-traveling machine? That the end of the world is coming next week? Tell me!"
I relate to her what the fortune-teller told me. Then at the end I say:
"It's mostly the last sentence she said that preoccupies me... How can I fall in love with someone's that's confined? That doesn't make any sense!"
"Really Krypter?" she tells me with a are-you-kidding-me look on her face. "It's ONLY the last thing she said that bothers you? What about that dinosaur that she mentioned? Who is it and what is it going to do later?"
"Well... I'm asking myself the same thing as you, obviously. But it's just that the last sentence caught my attention because..."
"Because what?" she pressures me.
"Because... Ah never mind. From now on I'm going to watch my back because all those mysteries are starting to scare me. And she's not the first one telling me to watch out who I trust..."
"You trust ME, right Krypter? We're like best buds! If you say no I'm going to crush your foot and then leave you here alone."
"Hum... I don't know..." I say as I pretend to think about it, teasing her.
"Hey!"
"It's a joke Rosie! Let's go see Nick Nack now, this lady is starting to creep me out."
"Me too."
We walk toward the second elevator, the one that goes up to the third and fourth floor. I press the button and we wait for few seconds while we rise to the third floor. I think about what the fortune-teller told me earlier.
That dinosaur must be the one behind all of this. Maybe he's even the boss of the BB Bandits! But it could be anyone. Maybe he's near me and I don't even know it. But perhaps there's also a more logical explanation to all of this... Maybe the lady was faking. She could've prepared this whole scene just to scare me. But, deep inside me, I know I believe her. She's not the first one warning me. The guy with the inscription, M. Richmond and now this lady. I don't know what's going to happen, and I'm a little nervous about it..."
I needed to stop there because the chapter was too long. So, what's your opinion about the fortune-teller?
