Paul's POV
I looked up at Rachel with tears in my eyes. She was unnaturally pale and her breathing was ragged. I grabbed her in my arms and looked at her stomach. There were five long gashes that were heavily bleeding. Her eyes were fluttering close.
"Don't you dare, Rachel! Stay with me!"
She placed her hand on my arm and smiled. "I'm okay." She said, as her eyes closed.
"NO! Dr. Cullen! Someone! Help!"
He motioned to a bed. "Bring her here."
I picked her up and placed her on the bed. As Dr. Cullen started working on her, Sam and Jared dragged me out. I was sobbing as they led me outside where the rest of the pack was located. Everyone looked at me sympathetically. Sam sat me down and looked me in the eye.
"Paul, what happened?"
"S-she got a call from some Allison. A warning that mention that her family wanted her tortured and dead and were coming prepared. I was so mad that I phased without thinking a-and..."
I couldn't finish. I hurt my imprint, who was now in severe condition. I wasn't even 100% sure she would live.
"We'll just have to wait it out. Cullen is good; she will be okay."
I nodded and ran to the woods, where I phased, and guarded the house.
Rachel's POV
I woke up feeling like crap, again, but Dr. Cullen said it would take a week for me to get my strength back. I felt something against my stomach and found it bandaged. It all came back. Paul found out the Argents wanted me dead and phased. I leaned into my pillow and sighed. Moments later, the pack came running into the room. Paul ran over and slammed his lips onto mine. I looked up to see him crying and wiped his tears away.
"I'm fine. You worry way to much. A werewolf soul-mate can have some occupational hazards."
"But you almost died, because of me."
"Oh please. Like your temper tantrum could kill me."
Then I ripped off my bandage to show them the fading lines. Everyone gasped as I rolled my eyes.
"You didn't even leave a mark."
"H-how?" Jared asked.
"Sorry, classified."
Paul rolled his eyes and kissed me again.
"This better be your last injury for the week." He mumbled.
