Chapter 15
The sun just began to set as Madoka reached the abandoned building. Zipping up her jacket, Madoka looked around hesitantly as she slowly walked up to the broken down steel doors.
The lake that surrounded the docks splashed against the docks, giving Madoka a light spray to the face. The coldness of the night just began to settle in, giving the night a cold and eerie chill. Taking a deep breath, Madoka reached for the door with shaky hands. The 20 year old shivered the moment her small hands touched the cold door knob.
Her heart beat jumping with fear and worry for her father, Madoka opened the door which created a large echoing and creak throughout the building. After the sound died down, she looked in the dark building and rubbed her lips together with fear.
It was completely dark; she couldn't see a thing inside. How was she supposed to find her father in this? Stepping inside, Madoka looked around her, ready for anything to pop out.
The door suddenly slammed shut causing her to gasp and quickly turn around, prepared to see the monster she had to face two months ago. The woman slowly stepped back and into the building further as she kept her eyes on the doors that mysteriously shut.
"I know your there." She spoke up with a shaky voice, clearly giving off her fear. "Come out."
It was dead silent for the next few minutes, until he finally spoke. "Well, I guess you caught me."
Madoka shivered when the voice hit her ears. It was the same man who kidnapped her. It was the same man who harmed her physically and mentally two months ago. It was him that caused all those nightmares that followed. It was him that made her afraid of the dark now. It was him that harmed Yu.
It was him that killed her child.
Anger and pure hatred filling her heart, Madoka took a confident step forward and glared into the dark. "Where's my father, you monster?" Her fear completely forgotten, Madoka tightened her hands into fists.
"Nice words, babe, please." Demetri laughed evilly as he took a few steps forward.
Hearing his heavy steps coming closer, Madoka took a small step back but stopped. She had to be strong. For her father. And for the baby that she lost because of him. It was all because of him.
"I haven't seen you in two months and this is what I get?" Demetri spoke just before a light right in the middle of the room burst to life, finally giving her the chance to see.
She glared towards the evil man, ignoring his horrible face that filled her nightmares one night after the next. "Where's my dad?"
Lifting his hand, Demetri pointed behind Madoka and watched as she quickly turned around and gasped with emotion. Seeing her dad tied up to a chair, Madoka sprinted towards him immediately.
Cupping his face in her hands, Madoka began to cry as she saw the bruises and cuts from Demetri's attacks. "You're gonna be okay, dad. Don't worry." Madoka kissed his forehead as he gently smiled up at her.
"Thank you, Madoka." He whispered the tiredness evident in his deep voice.
Hearing Demetri's laugh behind her, Madoka stepped back and growled. "You seriously think I would just give your dad to you? I need something in return." Demetri's footsteps were heard as he walked around slowly, staring at the woman with deep desire and interest.
Glaring into the darkness of the building, Madoka reached inside her coat and pulled out her sharpest knife from her home. Seeing the knife, Madoka's dad gently shook his head, knowing that she couldn't possibly fight against him.
"What do you need?"
"Oh baby, I need a lot of things." Demetri stopped walking and stared at Madoka for a few moments before speaking again. "But the thing I need most is the secret files owned by the WBBA."
Standing up straighter, Madoka furrowed her eyebrows. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"It is a secret so only a select few would know, my dear Madoka."
"I don't know-"
"That is why you must steal the files from your husband." Demetri smiled evilly the moment her eyes widened with surprise.
Madoka immediately shook her head. "No way. I will never help you steal the files from him or Ryo."
Demetri dug his hands in his pockets and gave her a curious look. "Let's make this quick. I know that your husband will be coming here any second, the moment he finds that you're missing."
Staring down at her father, Madoka shook her head. Her father shook his head in agreement, mentally telling her to say 'no' no matter what. Breathing in, Madoka straightened up her posture as she turned and hid the knife behind her back. "Please let him go, this doesn't concern him." She pleaded softly as she took slow steps towards him.
"Oh it does, my love." Demetri smirked, his British accent very thick. "Your friends, your family, even your colleagues. They are all in danger because of you. If you don't do what I say, all of them are at risk."
Madoka stopped when she was a few inches away from Demetri, gripping onto the knife behind her back with all of her life. He seemed to have no suspicion as to why she was standing so close; all he cared about was the fact that she was so close.
He seemed to forget about the conversation they were having the moment he took in her sweet scent. Raising an eyebrow, Demetri's smirk widened. "Miss me?"
"Of course." Madoka stared up at him, blinking her eyes flirtatiously. "If I didn't see you, I wouldn't be able to do this." Right after she stated that, she lifted her arm and lodged the knife right into his chest.
Stepping backwards, Madoka watched with shock as Demetri fell to his knees as the knife caused a huge gash in his chest. Grunting, Demetri cringed with pain. Blood began pouring down from the wound which made Madoka want to vomit.
She quickly stepped backwards even more, worried that he somehow would stand up and charge after her with that knife.
"Oh little darling, you did not just do that." He growled as he gripped the knife in his hand that seemed to be stuck in his chest.
"Madoka!" Her father's voice brought her back to reality causing her to turn and sprint towards him. Untying the rope around his wrists, Madoka looked back towards Demetri, making sure that he was still occupied.
The older man seemed to be distracted fully, the knife causing him intense pain. Holding onto his knee, Demetri groaned as he tried pulling the knife from his chest.
"Let's go." She whispered, grabbing his hand and led him towards the door.
"I will get you back for this, you little slut!" Demetri screamed after them. "You can't run away forever! You will get me what I want!"
"We need to hide somewhere." Madoka breathed out, holding onto her father's hand for dear life. Running around the corner, they pressed their backs against the wall to catch their breath.
Her blue eyes looked around the docks widely as she searched and searched for a good place to hide. Grabbing her dad's hand again, Madoka led them to another alley that was a few yards away.
"He might be chasing us." Her father, Andrew, whispered as he glanced around the corner to check.
"Are you hurt? Or tired?" Madoka asked, looked up into his eyes. "We can rest if you want."
Shaking his head, Andrew smiled down at his only daughter. "I'm fine. What we need is to get out of here."
Nodding in agreement, Madoka turned and ran down the street once more, with her father on her heels. "Wait," She called out as she suddenly came to a halt.
Pushing her dad into another nearby alley, Madoka held her breath to listen to her surroundings. "It's too quiet." She whispered, peeking out from the alley to listen. No wind, no footsteps, nothing.
It was completely quiet.
Chewing on her bottom lip, Madoka mentally cursed as she looked back at her father and then into the street. What should I do now? Do we run? Do we stay and hide?
"Do you have your cell phone?" Andrew asked suddenly, hope filling his blue eyes.
Her heart falling, Madoka frowned. "No, I forgot it back at the apartment." Stopping, Madoka suddenly smiled. "Which means Gingka would have read the text by now."
Andrew smiled down at his daughter. "He should be here any minute."
Looking back into the alley, Madoka nodded. "Let's go."
The two quickly ran from the alley and towards the parking lot that lead back to the city. Madoka's blue eyes kept shooting back and forth, making sure that they weren't being followed. She smiled with relief once they reached the parking lot without any sign of Demetri.
"I think we're safe for now-"The moment she spoke, she immediately regretted it.
A black van came storming through the parking lot, heading straight towards them. Her eyes widening like a deer in the headlights, Madoka pushed her dad to the side. "Run!"
Fear filling her heart, Madoka and Andrew sprinted towards the other direction desperately trying to get away from the speeding black van. Running towards the lake, the two were about ready to jump when the van pulled up in front of them.
Stopping, Madoka gripped onto her father's arm and pulled him the other direction to start running. But it was too late. The door opened, revealing Demetri with a few other men. A bandage was wrapped around his chest as with a menacing look in his black eyes.
"You will pay for that, Madoka." Demetri growled, slowly stepping out from the van.
Pushing her dad behind her, Madoka glared towards the evil man. "Don't hurt him."
"A little girl like you can't tell me what to do." Demetri screamed suddenly as he charged for her.
Before she had time to react, Demetri grabbed her by the shoulders and lifted her in the air. Screaming, she felt Demetri throw her as hard as he could. Her screaming intensifying, Madoka watched with wide eyes as she flew over the balcony of the parking lot and towards the cold lake.
Her eyes instinctively squeezed shut the moment her body hit the cold, unforgiving water. It felt as if her body was being stabbed with hundreds of knives from the water. Her body was engulfed in the cold water and pushed her around unforgivingly. She desperately tried to swim up for air but with every chance it got, the water pushed her down even further.
The moment the water grew calm from the fury, Madoka quickly swam to the top and opened her mouth for the air she so desperately needed. Running a hand down her face, Madoka looked around her for any sign of a ladder, a boat, or anything that could help her get out.
Before she could search any further, the water pushed her down once more. Gulping tons of water, Madoka choked as she fought for air. The young woman hit against the water, trying to get back to the top so she could breathe again.
Another hard crash caused her small body to sailing to the side. The back of her head hit something hard immediately causing her mind to go black…
Kinda crappy ending, I know, so I'm sorry. I didn't really know how to exactly finish this in order to continue onto the next chapter. I feel like this one wasn't my best, so I will probably go back and edit it.
But anyway, I hope you liked this one! Please review; let me know what you think!
The CEO and the Secretary will be posted very soon! X.
