AN: Hey y'all, I hope you all been enjoying the story still despite updating it late as usually. Right now, I'm in the middle of achieving my driver's license since I got my permit renewed, so once again, I'm most likely going to be focusing on that for the most part. But nevertheless, I will still be writing and updating more of my stories, and I will be officially making new ones as well including one for Miraculous Ladybug, Degrassi, and The Walking Dead.
Alright, that's all I got and I hope you all enjoy this chapter.
Chapter 14: Going Through the Mirror
"Alright guys, are we all ready to start Operation: Find Courtney?" Gwen told her friends who were being very supportive of her. They all answered her with determination. "Good, because I'm getting my friend back. One way or another." The Goth Girl smiled with pride.
Bridgette came in, "So am I," "We all are," Trent fully confirmed and eyed Gwen, "And we will not give up whatsoever." The ex of the musician smiled sweetly at him.
"Alright ya, enough fooling around," Leshawna commanded, "let's go find ourselves a Courtney!" And off the search party marched into the CIT's trailer.
As Gwen's group gets themselves into the trailer, the nine friends start to look around for clues again that could possibly match the mirror.
"Okay guys, there has to be some sort of idea on how the mirror came to life and what it did to Courtney, but how?" Bridgette interrogated. Suddenly, Cameron came up with a hypothesis.
"Wait, how about instead of just searching the whole trailer, why don't we just search around the mirror in order to find clues and questions relating to Courtney's disappearance? That can definitely give us a much better conclusion."
"Good thinking, Cameron." Zoey praised her close friend. Everyone else began to agree and started to search for hints around the CIT's mirror.
"Alright, first of all," Gwen began to order, "DJ, Geoff, Trent, see if you guys can move the mirror." The three males nodded and did so without hesitation. Though Mike began to ask. "What's this going to do, Gwen?"
Gwen began her own hypothesis to match Cameron's. "I'm thinking that if we move the mirror, we can have a better chance of finding what it did to Courtney and how it came to life in order to make her vanished."
"And to do so,"
"By studying it, analyzing it, connecting the dots in order to search for more clues." Unfortunately, Trent had some bad news regarding the focused object.
"Well while that is a good thought Gwen, the mirror is just your ordinary mirror." Geoff and DJ lifted up the mirror and the guitar player was right, it was just an ordinary mirror. No magic, no light, just a crack on its left side. Gwen gasped. "What," The Goth Girl rushed over to the mirror and viewed it carefully. "How is this possible?"
"It's just an ordinary mirror, Gwen. Nothing new." DJ shrugged at his goth friend. Bridgette joined in next. "But it can't be, this can't be happening again!"
"But Cameron's hypothesis," Mike brought up.
"Forget it," Bridgette screamed in agony. Geoff quickly came to comfort her. "Aw babe, it's alright, we aren't giving up." The surfer started to weep. "I know, but I could've sworn this was going to work this time." Hearing Bridgette's cries of agony gave Cameron an idea.
"That's it, work this time!" Everyone started to eye the Bubble Boy in wonder. "Guys think about it, how does a scientific method work?" Realizing what their friend meant now, everyone caught on. "You make an observation." Zoey answered.
"Correct, so what would our observation be?"
Leshawna followed up, "The mirror has something to do with Courtney's disappearance."
"Yes, keep going guys. What's next guys?" Gwen explained, "We ask how did the mirror cause Courtney's disappearance."
Cameron excitedly cheered. "Yes, and now we come up with a hypothesis!"
"Okay, so what would our hypothesis be then?" Trent asked. Quickly, the nine group members began to think; Bridgette then looked back at the mirror and saw its crack and shattered pieces.
"The crack," the surfer exclaimed and carefully lifted up the broken object without cutting herself. "When I came to check on Courtney the first time, her mirror was perfectly fine."
"Then I guess when I got mad at Courtney," Gwen continued on, "she got so upset, she broke the mirror!" Cameron now began to concentrate on the mirror in order to solve their method.
"Ah yes, so if we got Courtney broke the mirror that caused her to vanish as our method," Cameron then turned to face his commands,"then we must conduct an experiment."
"But, how do we do that," DJ asked.
"It's how scientific methods work, come up with ideas, then analyze them, and then you find out if your answer is right or wrong." Cameron grinned and asked Bridgette. "Bridgette, what happened next when Courtney went back into her trailer?"
Bridgette began to explain. "After Courtney ran back to her trailer, I attempted to comfort her, but she told me to go away due to how sad she was." The other eight listened carefully to the vegetarian's story. "Afterwards, I came back like about an hour to see if she was feeling better and once she couldn't answer me, I knew something was up."
"What else happened, Bridgette?" Trent asked his surfer friend. "When I'd figured that something was up, I tried to open up Courtney's door, and," Bridgette took a big dramatic pause. "Suddenly, a purple light came producing from the mirror, and finally, a woman that looked kind of like a ballerina appeared in the light." The party members who were listening to Bridgette's story all looked at her in awe and anxious at the same time as she explains the details of her tale.
"And you said that this woman had an evil laugh, right Bridge?" Geoff reminded his girlfriend, in which she answers that she did.
"Okay, people, so let's concluded our method." The redhead Zoey said.
"We first said that the mirror has something to do with Courtney disappearing," Gwen recapped.
"Then we asked how did the mirror caused her to disappear." Mike picked up.
Finally, DJ ended it all. "Then, we said that our hypothesis was the mirror's crack is what made Courtney disappear." Cameron grinned with all of his teeth showing.
"Yes, we're now officially on track!"
"But where does the purple light and ballerina come into place," Leshawna questioned and once again, everyone eyed at the ocean loving girl for more answers.
"Funny how you asked that Leshawna," Bridgette began to explain. "Because it literally happened after I attempted to "comfort Courtney," so maybe," the Surfer Chick began to conclude the method in a very hard way. All of her friends apprehensively looked at her as she deeply thought of a way to conclude the method. Finally, she snapped her fingers. Meaning that she got her answer.
"It happened when I said "don't let anyone, not even Duncan stand your ground" and I began to compliment Courtney." Zoey was the first to caught on now. "So in conclusion, it looks like the mirror comes to life by feelings!" Now everyone was in astonishment.
"So, we're going to have to use our feelings in order to get Courtney back." The Goth Girl answered with such power in her voice; but then Mike came in. "Though, how do we make that work?"
"Easy," Trent answered the MPD. "If Bridgette complimented Courtney and comforted her, that means she was being a good and sympathetic friend towards her." Leshawna quickly responded with "So then, we just reveal how we feel about Courtney." After that, Trent finished it off. "But we also feel sorry towards her."
"That's a great idea, Trent' Gwen happily responded. Which made Cameron tweeted out "Yeah, that's bound to work."
Geoff beamed. "Well, what are we waiting for, let's save Courtney with feelings!" The gang all nodded at each other and began to grab each other's hands as they rotate to the mirror. "Courtney," Gwen begins. "We are all sorry for everything that happened to you, including everything that we did to you."
"We're all sorry for hurting you, making you feel bad, insulting you," Zoey added in.
"Treating you badly," Mike went on.
Bridgette entered upon. "They all mean it, Courtney; they really do." The blonde surfer began to shed some tears. "All of us, don't want you sad anymore." Cameron smiled sweetly. "Yeah, I mean even though you aren't a perfect person, we all want you back. Feeling safe and happy." Leshawna decided to keep going.
"You may not have been the kindest person on the show, but seeing you dissolve like this is really upsetting."
"Like, we honestly don't know what to do now that you're gone." Geoff aforementioned with a honest, yet melancholy tone. "We," Gwen froze for a minute, but then began to cry herself. "We just want you back. We all want you back, all nine of us." Trent, seeing how miserable her former lover was, poised Gwen by putting a hand on her shoulder. The two locked eyes on each other for a brief second and the musician smiles at the goth. Knowing what he means by this, Gwen starts to reveal her true feelings on the situation.
"We are all ready sorry for everything that happened to you, especially if we caused it. Yes, you were not perfect, but really who isn't? Just because you did acted mean or bossy, it doesn't mean that you are an evil person. You were just flawed like anyone else." As the goth went deep into her feelings, tears of sorrow fell from her face. "I know you made mistakes, but so did we and I even did, big time. I kissed Duncan behind your back, betrayed you, made you feel miserable, and worst of all, I told you that you didn't deserve my friendship after you tried to make up with me!" Feeling incredibly sorrow now, Gwen finally broke down. "So please, wherever you are, come back." After a while later as the teal and black-haired female cried and her friends all bowed down in guilt, a voice with a musical talent began to come from the mirror.
"Guys, guys do you hear that?" DJ shrieked with terror. Everyone looked up and the crying goth gasped. "It's working, the mirror's coming to life." Gwen soon viewed the mirror and suddenly, the voice began to sing higher as the group started to become more freaked out by the mirror. "What's going on, y'all," screamed the sister with attitude.
"I have no idea!" Gwen replied in a scared tone.
"Mama, help me!" DJ yelped in terror. During the time that everyone felt frightened, the singing voice became louder and louder as the mirror finally illuminated and shined on them all. A second later, DJ, Geoff, Trent, and Leshawna saw that everything inside the trailer was still the same, except for one thing. Gwen, Bridgette, Zoey, Mike, and Cameron were no where to be seen.
A dark place appeared now. Suddenly, Gwen began to speak, but she did it out of curiosity.
"What the, where are we," cried the goth. Gwen then saw her four friends all around her and they as well were haywire at the position. "What's going on here," as the Goth Gal asked again, she and all of her friends began to fall down and scream at this supernatural event that was taking place.
"This can't be happening," shouted Gwen feeling terrified.
"What is this place," bawled Zoey.
"And what is it doing," cried Bridgette.
Mike and Cameron later on came in. "Whatever it is, it's not normal!" "But, it sure is freaky!"
They both screeched as everyone of them fell through whatever portal they were going through. Abruptly as they kept falling, various objects kept flying towards them. Objects that looked like something that would appear in various, classic stories. For example, a bowl of porridge which would be in Goldilocks and The Three Bears flew up to the Blonde Surfer; then, a pipe instrument went up to Gwen which made her even more freaked out than ever. As with the fourth season's players, they all got themselves a rose that seems to resemble beauty if they can call it that. As time went by, they all began to see a bright, oval shape at the bottom of the portal and there they dropped through it. When the five friends' little, but terrifying adventure was over, Gwen found herself on a grassy area laying down with her eyes closed, but once learning where she was now, she got herself up and couldn't believe her eyes. Nor did her friends even believed it. They all viewed each other in bewilderment as they not only knew where they were now, but their appearances have changed. They all looked like fantasy characters, characters who would appear in stories, folk tales, fairy tales.
AN: Holy shit, this was such a long chapter, huh? :O Yeah, it was but sorry, I really wanted to finish it as soon as I could since I really wanted Gwen and the others to get into the Ever After High world. XD Plus, the last chapter was short, so I wanted to make it a little longer. Hell, originally Duncan was suppose to go with the others through the mirror, but I couldn't think of a good idea for him to appear and since he's a dick in the story so far, we'll just have to wait until later on. Nevertheless, hope you all enjoy. Don't forget to review and favorite, and I'll see you all later. 8D
