Epilogue
A couple years later...
No one's POV
"Where are they?"Toll asked, as the crew waited in Tools for their two other team mates.
"They said they'd be here, so they'll be here."Barney replied.
"Which one of them decided it was a good idea to go on a mission right after their honeymoon?"Toll asked still not over the idea of Lee and Melanie going on a mission so soon after their honeymoon.
"We both did, well I guess it was mostly me."Melanie said coming in the door with Lee right behind her.
"About time, lets get going. Welcome home guys."Barney said heading outside, clapping Lee on the back and high fiving with Mel.
Everyone followed, Melanie was more excited than usual and they all picked up on it.
"What's up with you?"Hale asked as they all looked at her.
"I'm excited."she said vaguely sharing a look with Lee.
"She's been restless since Barney told us about the mission."Lee explained to the others and returned his gaze to Melanie.
"Now will you tell me why?"he demanded, he'd been asking her why a lot on the way home but she didn't answer him.
Melanie spread her arms wide showing her tattoo, "This is what I do!"she exclaimed smiling wide.
They all chuckled as they climbed into their vehicles, but Melanie was right.
This is what they did and none of them could walk away because it was their life and they'd likely end up dead before getting a chance to retire.
Another day, another mission and an amazing expendable team.
