"JOURNEY DON'T-"

She walked right into the forcefield and then flew a few feet back. I ran towards her as she went limp. I kneeled down and moved her on her back. I then felt her chest that was still.

"Finnick she's not breathing! Help me!" Finnick ran over and kneeled down next to me as he checked her pulse.

"She's not breathing I can't-"

"YES! Yes you can and you fucking will save her! Save her!" I yelled at the top of my lungs that were now dry. He was just sitting there, running his hair through his hair, looking at her. If he doesn't help her I swear to God I will kill him..

"Alright…"

He started pushed against her chest.

"One, two, three." He then gave her mouth to mouth.

One, two, three.. (breath.)

One, two, three… (breath.) "Come on Journey!

One, two, three… (breath.) "Come on breath!"

One.. two.. three.. "COME ON JOURNEY BREATH!" Finnick just kept pushing against her chest.

"Come on Journey. You're gonna be okay. COME ON! Wake up!"

She still wasn't moving. Her body limp, just swaying from the small movements of Finnick. Her eyes were still closed. Her lips, slightly parted, but still. Lifeless.

I started shaking my head. Not wanting to accept she was dead. She's not dead. She can't be dead! SHE'S NOT!

I rested my head on hers, as Finnick still pumped her chest. I then moved my head down as my lips rested on her ear.

"Journey, listen to me. You promised. You promised that you would fight and I need you to fight now. I need you to try. Please don't die on me. Baby please wake up! Please. Please. I'm still here. I'm not leaving you, so please wake up!"

I then heard a noise. It was faint, but I heard it. I lifted my head to see Journey's lips open as she took a breath..

"Journey?"

...Another gasp..

"That's it! That's it baby, you're okay.. Come on.."

Her beautiful eyelids opened to reveal her beautiful brown eyes.

"Holly shit.." Finnick said in awestruck the same as my face probably looked.

Her eyes started to roam and then land on me.

"S-so you're c-calling me baby n-now?" I then grabbed her and held her to me. I felt relief pass through my body as I felt her heart beat on my chest.

"Y-you were dead.. you died… DAMN IT, don't you ever do that to me again!"

"It's okay, I'm alive now.. I think." She said with a smile on her face. Even when she comes back from death she stills makes light on the situation. I laughed at her as Finnick and even Maggs did the same as relief set in them both.

"Can you stand?"

"Yeah… I think so."

Me and Finnick helped her up as she winced.

"Are you okay?" Finnick and I said I the same time. She looked back and forth between us.

"Yeah. It's just that my body is a little sore.. from the electricity .."

"Do you want me to carry you?"

"No, really I'm fine. I just need to walk it off."

She started walking, more like limping but pretty soon she was regaining strength.

I went in front of her and picked up some rocks to use to make sure where we're going isn't towards a forcefield. As we walked, we came to realize that we were already at the end of the arena, so now we were trying to go around the forcefields. But that took too long, so we then went in a different direction away from the force field.

"Guys, I don't think there are any fresh water spots around. We're already at the end of the arena and we've had no sign of anything close. I say we should camp out here for the night and we should have night watchers." I said looking at the group. Journey looked tired and so did Maggs.

"I'll take the first watch." Finnick volunteered.

"I don't think so. I'll do it." Journey said. Is she crazy?! She just got electrocuted and she wants to take watch?

"No you are not. You're going to sleep. I'll take first watch. Then Finnick and then you. Okay?" She looked down, and I could tell that she didn't trust Finnick and neither did I but he saved her life, so I had no choice but to trust him.

"No, Me and Finnick will take second watch. And don't tell me different." She demanded. I was surprised at her stubbornness, but I think it was just Finnick that was her problem. Finnick didn't look too happy as he caught on to what she was implying.

"Honey, I know that you were completely blacked out and dead back there, but I was the one who got your heart beating again. So, if I wanted to kill you two I would've by now. And you could at least be a little grateful that I saved your life." Finnick said as he sat down. Well at least he isn't smiling anymore.

We all agreed to camp out here. For now we didn't care about food, but water was the big problem. Journey was struck electrocuted, which means that she's dehydrated faster. And if she doesn't drink soon… No. Stop thinking that..

By now, it started to get dark. My legs started to hurt from roaming around watching everything, so I decided to sit and Journey came over and laid her head on my lap. It didn't take her long to fall asleep. I didn't blame her. I'd be tired as hell myself. I noticed that when she slept she gave off the smallest snore which made me smile.

Looking down at her, I really got a good look at her face. Heartshaped. With high cheekbones and plump lips. Her face has matured a lot and her warm beige skin was glowing. Her black wavy hair splayed out as some pieces of hair were sticking to her skin from the sweat.

I looked over at the two others. Finnick was sitting next to me, sharpening his stupid trident and Maggs was next to Finnick, sleeping soundly. I looked between Journey and Finnick..

"She's not as weak as you think she is."

Finnick looked at me with forward brows in confusion.

"What?"

"Journey. I know you think she's weak..she's not weak. She's just..been through hell this year."

"Yeah..I understand that... How is she?"

"She's fine. She's just dehydrated like the rest of us. But if we don't find fresh water, I'm scared of what's going to happen to her."

"You really love her don't you?"

I looked down at her face. Even in sleep she looked beautiful. Peaceful.

"Yeah. Yeah I do."

We were then interrupted by the announcements in the sky. They were showing the fallen tributes, but I could really careless. The music woke Maggs and Journey up, and to me that was a problem.

She looked up at the sky and saw each of the fallen tributes pictures. Some of the districts were out already. And that was good news for us. But I didn't want her to see that. It could mess with her mind and make her less focused.

When the announcements were over we heard a noise. A very familiar noise. A chime. We looked up to see that it was a gift probably from a sponsor. We all rushed over to it as it landed in a bush. I grabbed it and opened it.

Inside was a spile and a note.

'Drink Up. Your welcome.'

-H

"SO.. what did we get?" Finnick asked walking up next to me.

I ignored him as I walked to a nearby tree and inserted the spile.

"It's a spile. It's what me and Katniss used back at home to collect sap from inside the trees. But these trees are different from the ones back home. I don't think they carry sap."

"Do you think these trees could have-"

Before he could finish, clear water rushed out of the spile answering his question. I tasted the water to make sure that it was clean and fresh. Thank you Haymitch..

We let Journey go first and when she had her fill, Finnick got a giant leaf from a branch and filled it with water for Maggs. I then got a drink of water that tasted like heaven on my tongue. Lastly it was Finnick.

When we were all done with the water, we decided to switch watchers, so now Journey and Finnick were watching while I went to sleep. But I was a little worried about leaving those two together..

Getting electrocuted is not the most pleasant feeling in the world. My whole body aches and I don't want to move. But I have to. I'm seated next to Finnick on the ground as we keep a lookout on our surroundings. Both of us avoiding conversation. Well, one of us.

"Well did you see light at the end of the tunnel?"

"What?"

"Well, you died. So did you see a light?"

"Finnick shu-" I stopped..I figured I would just tell him, because something tells me he wouldn't let it go... "Hmm, technically I didn't die. So no I didn't see a light."

The truth is I don't remember what I saw. I don't think anything happened. It's kind of like when you wake up from a dream and you don't remember what happened in that dream.

"Ok… let's talk about something else eh?"

"No-" I quickly replied. Silence is the only thing I really wanted right now.

"So what's going to happen with you and Gale?"

"Finnick! If you don't shut the hell up I promise I will-" My rant was interrupted by the Capital's announcements. The announcements were of the fallen Tributes. I counted 8 dead. Which means that only 16, including ourselves, were left. I looked over to the grounds to see Gale still sleeping, but Mags was wide awake, disturbed from the loud music of the announcement. When the announcements ended, my eyes had to adjust to the now darkness. When they finally did adjust, I saw Finnick walking to the grounds.

"And where do you think you're going?" I asked in a hush voice, making sure to not wake Gale, though I find that impossible. Finnick turned back to me, the scraggly bushes almost hiding him away.

"I.. am tired and I am going to sleep. You can stay up if you want."

Then I heard more rustling as he kept walking and then everything was silent. I laid my head down on a tree trunk, listening to the silence. The nothings. I welcomed it as my muscles started to relax, and then without knowing it started to fall asleep.
