Hannibal gasped as he watched Jack caught aflame, all the while pushing against the draconic warlord to get off of him. The monks became quiet and watched with fascination as the burning boy transformed into a magnificent bird of fire.
"Jack is a bird?" Kimiko asked out loud to no one in general.
"Not just any bird, but a phoenix! It seems our own Jack Spicer, is the Ruby of Destiny himself!" Dojo exclaimed from under Clay's hat. Raimundo shook his head in confusion, but it was mainly masked by the raw emotion of shock.
Bean threw the warlord off of his person, whom was thrown into a bewildered Clay that was not far from the two Heylin. Clay huffed at the impacted and pushed the lizard man off of him.
Bean stood as the bird stood straight. Jack's feathers were not feathers but fire instead. It was a beautiful sight.
"Dāng yīgèrén bù guānxīn fèng, yīng zài huǒkēng li shāohuǐ." Jack said with a grating voice, it held a fierce and fiery tone.
"Dojo, can you translate?" Raimundo asked the green reptile.
"'When one does not care for the phoenix, shall be burned in a pit of fire.' Let's just say that Bean is toast. Haha! Get it? Toast? Fire? Oh never mind..." Jack squawked in a high pitch causing everyone to cover their ears.
"It seems you have angered the phoenix. A Phoenix is not so easily calmed..." Chase chuckled, stepping out of the way of the bird.
"Remember, Spicer-"
"Wàngjìle, wǒ méiyǒu." Jack turned his head to the dragon.
Dojo whispered the monks,
"Forgotten, I have not."
Bean, in this time was pulling and dragging himself along the floor to get away. Jack didn't took no for an answer and charged a fire ball, from his magnificent gold beak, at the legume. Bean managed to pull himself up and narrowly dodge the flame by summoning a shield spell. Chase snarled with intensity.
"Young, you and your pet know that you cannot defeat me. I am the most powerful and supreme Heylin in the world. You should know that, boy. I trained you." The monks shook out of their stupor and ran to help. Their formation helped to cause the Bean to be winded, but to have him stopped was an understatement. Omi's water techniques were deflected to put Kimiko's out, whilst Raimundo' s wind attacks were mixed with Clay's earth barrages to cause a mini sand storm. They had silenced their advances in order to see. Katnappe manipulated her body to slice Bean with her claws as Tubbimura tried to swipe a blow with his sword. Bean laughed at their pathetic attempts.
"You cannot challenge me and win!" Chase jumped and landed onto Bean, his jaws clamped onto a root to which was ripped clean off. Bean yelled in absolute agony.
"You will regret this, Young." Chase chuckled menacingly as he snapped his jaws towards Bean's disgusting yellow eyes. Bean pushed at the lizard but he was suddenly too strong. Bean was actually fighting the brat to get him off.
"Funny, I was thinking the same thing!" Chase snapped his jaws again, and sliced at the legume's skin. It healed almost instantly. Jack's voice had distracted Chase, as it did the monks.
"Wǒ de àiqíng shì yǒnghéng de. Yùlóng hé hóngbǎoshí quán zhàng, zài ài de jiéhé!" Dojo didn't have time to translate only that something bug was going to happen.
"Move it, kids! Outta the way!" The monks moved precisely at the right time as a bright light encircled Jack and the objects Omi had given him previously.
When the monk were safe, Omi piped up.
"'My love is eternal. Jade dragon and Ruby sceptre, combine in love!' Was what Jack said." Dojo nodded.
Jack calmed and in his glory proudly in armour of gold and red upon his lithe body, Jack squawked again and attacked.
His wings beat through the air, distracting Bean. Chase managed to claw a yellow eye out, as well as construct a black fire ball to which he propelled it, full force, into Bean's eye socket. As Chase growled darkly at the legume, inwardly getting giddy at the sight of Bean's blood. Finally he had drawn blood to his nemesis and old teacher. Chase mentally patted his back to achieve such a moment. But such a small distraction was looked down upon as he was yet again thrown off Bean.
Chase was rammed against a wall. What was wrong with him today!? He was a warrior! A calm, strong, confident and powerful warrior! Suck it up, Chase and get on with it! You've had your fun! Kill him! Use your martial arts!
Jack propelled at top speed at the legume, the fire from his wings licked every surface. Smoked filled the room as everything caught fire.
Bean coughed and almost gagged, it was intense. He tried once again to crawl away, only to be clamped in a claw. Ying-Ying flew into the room to try and save her master, but was ushered out by the flames.
Jack pecked at the other eye as Bean was held down. He managed to move himself to avoid his other eye to be taken from him. He bit down on a toe to which Jack squawked in pain and instinctively let go of him. Bean guided his body to the window and Ying-Ying caught her master and flew off. Jack, Chase, the Monks, Tubbimura and Katnappe growled out their frustrations as the legume got away. Again. But hopefully for the last time.
Chase roared as he ran to the window and watched as the bird and his old mentor fly high into the night sky, Bean laughter coursing through the wind.
The place that Bean and moved Jack was slowly coming down from the sheer heat and height of the flames Jack was producing. Jack opened his wings to take off after the legume.
"It's alright Jack. We'll be waiting for him, this time." They all exited the burning building, Chase and Jack manipulated their magic to change their forms back into their human selves.
Once outside, they all watched the building collapse in on itself. Jack whimpered, as he didn't have his magic to make him feel confident, and buried his face into his master's chest plate. Sobs shaking the pale skin.
"Ch-chase, h-he.." Now that Jack was out of danger, it finally dawned on him what Bean was going to do to him.
Chase tightened his hold for a moment on the albino, before picking him up bridle style.
"You have my thanks.." Chase gestured to his foes and teleported out of the scenery. His pride was burned due to that disgusting legume. But right now he had an apprentice to care for, right now.
Damn it! Bean got away! Well Chase said they will be waiting for him this time!
