Chapter 14
After closing myself off for a couple of days to everyone, Edward finally came over to check on me.
"Bella, are you OK? Emmett said he's been trying to call but it keeps going to 's freaking out." Edward paced around my room. "Did you know Ang was pregnant?" he stopped and smiled at me.
"Uh, yeah. She told me the other day." I shrugged. "Congratulations."
"Thanks. I'm stoked. We're having a small ceremony. Just family once Emmett gets back. OK?" he smiled at me.
"Yeah, whatever." I picked at the threads on my blanket.
"What's bothering you Bells?" he sat down.
"Emmett, he was out at a club the other night celebrating." I looked up with tears in my eyes.
"I know." Edward said with a 'DUH' sound in his voice.
"He's not supposed to be drinking or doing drugs Edward and what if he slept with someone else because I can't." I was crying hysterically now.
"Hey, Hey… I had eyes on Emmett. He was a good boy. Soda all night and his hands didn't leave his side except to sign his contract." Edward hugged me close.
"You aren't just saying that are you?" I eyed him.
"No." he laughed humorlessly. "If he screws up it's my head too. I have to keep him on the straight and narrow. The guards that I have hired for him are close friends of mine and the team owner. It's all legit." Edward assured me.
After Edward left, I showered and left to get a new phone and quickly called Emmett, I knew we needed to talk.
"Bella? Finally. Damn I miss you." he groaned.
"I'm so sorry Emmett, I shouldn't be acting like the world revolves around me. I need to be a little more flexible. I'm going to start trying, promise." I rambled on.
"Baby, we'll talk about all that when I get home. I just want you to know how much I love you and I get to come home a few days early." he laughed.
"Really. That's great. I can't wait to have you home. We really need to talk this out." I sighed. "We will, we'll get it all worked out and everything will be fine. You'll see." I could tell he was as happy as I was. "I've got to run, but I'll see you soon. I love you baby." he kissed the phone and I kissed it back before he hung up.
A couple days later as I'm swimming laps, to ease my boredom I hear the voice I've been waiting to hear.
"Bells, I'm home!" Emmett shouted.
I jumped out of the pool and ran to the door so he could see me.
"Shit! You're going to kill me with this thing on." he picked me up and I wrapped myself around him, peppering kisses everywhere I could.
"Let's get married!" I shouted.
"What?" Emmett looked at me like I was crazy.
"You heard me, I've got a bag packed, I just need to shower and dress. We'll hop a plane for
Vegas and BOOM! We're married." I smiled at him.
"You're serious?" he asked.
"Yes!" I nodded my head.
"OK. Let me call a few people, because I can't just fly off and marry you without checking with your parents." he kissed me softly and chuckled.
"Oh right. My mom would stroke." I giggled.
"What's gotten into you? Have you been drinking?" he asked with a smile.
"No Emmett, just thinking. I had a long talk with my therapist and then did a lot of thinking." I shrugged.
"Well I love this new you and I'll be a little more considerate of your thoughts. I'm sorry about not thinking before asking you to be around those strange men. We'll get you a new woman detail since Angela can't do it." he hugged me close.
"OK. I'd love to travel with you when school allows." I kissed him again.
By the next day we were hopping on a plane with Edward, Angela and my parents to Vegas. My mom was upset that we weren't having the big ceremony, but understood neither of us wanted to wait any longer. Edward and Angela were going to get married here as well, a double wedding and a week long getaway, we were all excited and just like Emmett promised I had a new woman detail, she was quiet and blended into our group. Her name was Zafrina, she was single and had no children so she could be available at the drop of a hat, that's why Angela had recommended her to us.
And she was on her way to Vegas with us.
After arriving in Vegas, the men wanted to gamble while we shopped for our dresses. We found a shop right away and Angela found a cute lace dress that was loose and hung off her her shoulders and came just above her knees. It was perfect. Mine was spaghetti straps and hung low in the back, had a scalloped chest and was floor length with two slits in the front. It was sexy, yet covered me. Emmett will love it.
Once we were done we headed to a salon and got all pampered at Emmett's insistence, he said
I needed to relax and be pampered before our nuptials. He's such a goof.
After our hair, nails and make up were all done, we headed back to the hotel to my parents
room to call the guys to let them know to get ready and meet us at the site.
My dad met Angela and I in the back room to walk us down the aisle.
"You girls look beautiful. Those boys aren't going to know what hit them." he smiled.
"Thank dad." we said in unison.
The music started and we began our walk, once we reached Edward and Emmett my dad
kissed our cheeks and told them both they better do right by us or else.
It was a beautiful ceremony, even if it was small.
Emmett had hired their professional photographer to take our pictures so we'd each have memories of today and at the end of the ceremony my parents decided to renew their vows since their wedding anniversary was right around the corner, it was the perfect day all around. After the ceremony they provided us with a cake. It was perfect. It was actually a 2 layer cake so we'd actually each have a layer to take with us and have on our anniversary and then cupcakes for us to enjoy for our wedding; and to top it off, they were light blue, for our something blue. Afterwards we all went out dinner and dancing.
It was perfect.
Arriving back to the hotel we went our separate ways to our rooms.
Walking into our room I gasped.
"Emmett! This is too much for a weekend." I twirled around and he wrapped his arms around me.
"Nothing is too much for my WIFE !" he smiled a cheesy smile and I giggled.
"Look at that, I didn't jump." I smiled like a loon.
"Your new therapist must be great." he hugged me tightly.
"She is, plus I've done a lot of soul searching." I pecked his lips.
"Do you want to try the pool?" he asked.
"Yes! And we don't even have to have clothes." I turned around and lifted my hair for him to unzip my dress.
"I'm so glad we started taking showers together a few months ago, naked time is my favorite time." he unzipped me and kissed my neck.
"Mine too. Makes me feel more in control of myself and more empowered." I shrugged. Emmett was undressed and picked me up and carried me into the pool.
He had on soft music and we kissed until we were both panting and I felt his erection.
"Bella…" he shook his head.
"Emmett, take me to bed, make me your wife." I smiled softly at him.
"Bella, are you sure? I'm not in any rush." he held me tight.
"I'm sure. I'm ready." And with that he picked me up and rushed to the bed, making love to me nice and slow.
Since it was my first time, it did hurt but Emmett kissed my tears and nerves away.
He made it special and I was glad we'd waited until tonight.
Now we were one and no one would ever come between us.
