"But he wouldn't be sabotaging his own show, would he?" Joe asked.

Nancy shrugged "Wouldn't be the first time, but I'm with Joe. He didn't strike me as that type."

"I know." Frank thought for a moment "Well we have to take all angles. We can investigate as if he did do it and as if he's being framed. Maybe we'll come up with something having two different angles to work with."

"Unless there's nothing to both." Joe said with a shrug.

"Well, It's all we've got to work with." Nancy responded as she glanced at her watch "I'll catch you guys later. I have a date to get ready for." she flashed them a smile then hurried off.

"Did that smile look slightly forced to you?" Frank asked.

Joe chuckled "Oh Frank. You crack me up." then he jogged off to catch up with Tess who was heading towards the hotel diner.

Frank frowned "What does that mean?"

"Frank! Come on, dude!" Joe called as he laced up his shoes "Callie is probably waiting in the lobby for you!"

"I doubt it." Frank answered as he stepped out of the bathroom, straightening a tie "Girls are always fashionably late."

Joe raised an eyebrow, a mischievous grin coming over his face "Then why on earth are we always getting worried when Nancy's late?"
"Because Nancy..." Frank cut himself off and shot a glare at his brother "What is your point?"

"I didn't say I had one." Joe gave Frank a quick once over, taking in the suit and tie "Where is Callie taking you?"

"She wanted to go to this restaurant down the road." Frank answered as he pulled on the jacket and looked at Joe/s casual attire "And where are you taking the potential next rock star?"

"We're just walking around. Grabbing a hotdog, ya know." Joe shrugged "Friend stuff that gives plenty of evening time in the parks of Paris."

"At least iron your clothes." Frank shook his head and went for the door "Or she might not go with you."

Joe looked down at his outfit "What's wrong with it?" but Frank was already gone. With a shrug Joe grabbed a lightweight jacket, just in case it got chilly at night and Tess needed it, and headed out the door singing:

"Paris, the city of lovers is glowing..."

"I'll be back later." Nancy told George as she fastened an earring into place.

"Don't worry." George flipped the page of the sports magazine she was looking at "I know the routine of you and Ned going on dates." she smiled slightly "He picks you up. You leave. Trouble strikes. You come back and tell me all about it."

Nancy froze "Not every time."

"Pretty close." George closed the magazine and looked up at her friend "You're just way accident prone."

Nancy shook her head and quickly ran a brush through her hair and mumbled "No wonder he keeps getting so mad."

"Well, that I can think off, there's only two guys I know that wouldn't mind a girl running off to investigate." George said casually "And they're brothers."

Nancy rolled her eyes "I have to go. See you later."

"Hey, hey hey!" George called after her "Don't forget your shoes!"

Nancy stopped in the doorway and glanced down at her stocking feet "Thanks." she chuckled then she grabbed her black pumps and ran out the door.

Joe and Tess watched from the diner doorway as Frank and Callie left the hotel then about five minutes later, Ned and Nancy left.

"Well, this date should be good." Joe chuckled.

Tess looked up at him questioningly "What do you mean?" then she frowned "What did you do?"

"Oh, I may have suggested a restaurant to Ned and Callie then called ahead and arranged their seats."

"Joe!" Tess swatted his arm "Why did you do that?"

"To maybe show my brother some things." Joe answered "His and Callie's relationship have been on the rocks lately while Nancy and Ned..." he rolled his eyes "What I hear from Bess it's always on the rocks. So I'm giving them an evening together to observe what's going on with the other to make him realize who he's really in love with."

Tess raised an eyebrow "And what makes you think you know who he's really in love with."
"I'm a year younger but I'm not blind." Joe took her elbow and slowly led her towards the revolving doors "They've always liked each other. But, if you put two stubborn teenagers together you get a whole lot of 'we're just friends' and whatnot." then he grinned at her "But I know when to go for the girl."

Tess laughed quietly "I'd noticed."

Frank and Callie stepped into the comfortable restaurant, the pleasant smell of the evening's special greeted them.

"Nice." Callie commented.

"Sure is." Frank agreed.

The eating area was dimly lit, but still seemed bright. An array of tables covered in white table clothes sat perfectly positioned around the room.

"Names?" A man standing at a podium said dully.

"We don't have reservations." Callie said quickly.

"We still put your names into the log."

Frank sent her a quick smile before answering the man "Frank Hardy and Callie Shaw."

"Okay." the man scanned his list real quick "You do have a reservation, Sir. Follow me."

Frank frowned "How do we...?"

"Just follow me."

"I wonder who reserved a table for us." Callie said as she took her head at a small table for two, set in an out of the way place.

Frank frowned "Hey, Cal. Did someone suggest coming here?"

"Yeah. Joe."

"Joe." He instantly relaxed and shook his head "What is that nut up to now?" five minutes later, he found out when Ned and Nancy were sat at a table right beside theirs.

"Hey." Nancy said with a grin "Funny running into you here."

Frank smiled slightly "Hey, did you two have a... sudden reservation?"

"Yeah we did." Ned answered "How did you know?"

"It kind of has me worried." Nancy added quietly "It was obviously deliberate."

Frank shook his head "I know who did it. And I'm gonna kill him later."

Nancy raised an eyebrow "Joe."

"Bingo."

She shrugged "Well, as long as it's not someone who's going to poison the food I'm happy."

"Oh, it's beautiful." Tess sighed as she and Joe leaned against the railing of a bridge looking towards the Eiffel Tower which was fully lit up, giving it a golden glow.

Joe grinned at her "Nah. I've seen prettier."

Tess blushed "You probably say that to all the girls."

He chuckled "Not exactly. It's always a different complement."

Tess laughed "You really are the charmer, Joe Hardy. No wonder Gina told me to be careful around you."

Joe turned so his back was against the railing "Tall, rugged, handsome, daring and brave," he winked at her "And knows beauty when he sees it."

Once again, Tess's cheeks flushed crimson "You're just saying that."

"No, it's true." Joe leaned slightly closer "I promise." then he went to close the rest of the distance between them but was stopped as the sound of squealing tires split the silence.

Nancy was staring at her food, eating it slowly. She didn't know why but having a date with Frank right there was making her uncomfortable. Ned didn't seem to notice and neither did Callie, but a few times when she'd stolen a peek at the other couple she'd caught Frank looking at her.

Frank shifted in his seat and nodded at a comment his date had just made and took a bite of his dinner.

He was seriously going to kill Joe when he saw him again "What was he thinking?" he thought angrily "He probably wasn't. Typical Joe."

An awkward silence fell between the two tables til Ned cleared his throat "Good food."

"Very." Nancy nodded, taking another bite from her plate.

"No wonder it's popular." Frank added, then the silence returned.

"Oh boy." Nancy thought "I'm going to be hearing about this later."

All of the sudden the doors to the restaurant burst open and Tess and running in breathless.

"Frank! Nancy!" she called as she ran towards them, paying no mind to the man trying to make her leave.

"What's wrong?" Nancy and Frank asked in unison as they stood from their seats.

"A car..." Tess said around gasps of air "We were... on a bridge... a car pulled up... took Joe."

Frank shot Nancy an alarmed look "Where did they grab him at?"

"Bridge... about five miles... southeast."

Without another word Frank and Nancy shot towards the exit, leaving the other three staring after them.

(okay. Now Joe's out of the way. Now about Frank... oops, wrong mind in process. -changing...changing...changing- alright, Oh NO! Joe's kidnapped!

Anyhoo, thanks for all the Reviews guyzez!
