Kitty placed her lips on Rahne's hand.
"I love you." she whispered and walked quietly out of the infirmary.
Leaving the infirmary, Kitty made her way to her room.
She opened the door and entered, opening the door slowly.
Rogue was already there, lying on her bed with her nose in a book.
"Rogue." Kitty said nervously.
"Yeah?" Rogue answered.
"Can i talk to you about something?"
"What's up, Kit?" Rogue asked and Kitty sat on Rogue's bed.
"I'm worried about Rahne."
"Don't be." Rogue said "Beast said she was fine."
"I know, but I'm, like, still really worried."
"Mcoy said she's just asleep." Rogue said "She'll wake up soon."
"It's been a week, Anna." Kitty almost never called her 'Anna'.
"What if she doesn't? Do you know how scary it is thinking someone might not wake up again?" Kitty then gasped and quickly covered her mouth.
"I'm so sorry."
"It's ok, Kit." Rogue said. "Now, did yah wanna talk to meh about something else cuz yah look like yah do."
Kitty began to feel nervous about what she wanted to tell Rogue.
She didn't want to hurt her or for her to hate her but Kitty knew she had to tell."
I-I was w-wondering if, l-like, it'd be ok i-f I s-stopped working with you and B-Beast for...for a while." Kitty stammered and tears formed in her eyes. "J-Just till, l-like Rahne wakes up."
"Sure, Kit." Rogue said "You've got alot on your plate right now and you're my best friend."
"Really?" Kitty asked "You, like, don't mind?"
"Nope." Rogue said. "Ah've had to put up with mah curse mah whole life, Ah figure Ah can llive with it another week or two."
Kitty threw her arms around Rogue.
"Thank you, Rogue." she said as Rogue placed her book down and put an arm around Kitty who was now leaning on Rogue's stomach "You've, like, got no idea how much that means to me."
The two girls had been lying there for a couple of minutes when somebody knocked lightly on the door three times.
"Kitty, Rogue are you in there?" The soft female voice said. "It's Jean. The professor wants us all down stairs in two minutes."
"Ok." Kitty said "Thanks, Jean."
The two girls sat up.
"We sh' prob'ly go now." Rogue said.
"Yeah." Kitty replied.
The two girls got off the bed and walked towards the door.
"Thanks, Rogue." Kitty said as they left the room. "That was really nice."
"S'okay." Rogue replied "You just haven't been able to really relax in a while."
"Let's go downstairs." Kitty said, gesturing to the staircase.
The two girls walked slowly down the staircase, side by side.
They entered the living room where everyone, minus Wolverine, was sitting.
The Professor sat in front of everyone. Next to her were Ororo and Emma as well as four people neither of them recognized.
"Now that everybody is here," Professor Xavier said.
"I would like to introduce four new students that will be joining the institute."
He gestured to a boy next to him and the boy stepped forward.
"This is Jean-Paul Beaubier from Canada." The Professor explained.
"His powers are Flight, Superhuman Strength and Speed and the ability to create concussive blasts from his hands, similar to Scott's."
The Professor turned to Scott. "Scott, you will be working with Jean-Paul and working to help him control his concussive blasts."
Scott nodded. "Yes Professor."
Logan entered the room. "Canadian, eh?" He asked curiously. "I think this one's a keeper."
"You can just call me JP." Jean-Paul said shyly.
He was a slightly skinny boy with jet black hair and was average height for his age.
Jubilee gazed at him like he was some kind of prince charming as Bobby and Ray rolled their eyes at what they had witnessed.
"Next are Sean and Theresa Cassidy." The Professor said.
"Um, you can just call me Terry." Theresa said.
"Very well." The Professor said, nodding.
"They both have the ability to create a sonic scream of great force. Theoretically, They should both be able to fly if they aim at the ground with the right frequency." Roberto whistled "Sweet."
Sean was tall for his age, being about as tall as Roberto (quite tall), despite being younger than him.
Terry, on the other hand, was quite short and was about as tall as Jamie, the shortest and youngest of the group.
Both had ginger hair, Seans was short while Terry's reached her shoulders.
"Jean, You will be working with them to develop their abilities." The Professor said, turning and looking towards Jean.
"Yes, Professor." Jean said and nodded.
"Finally, we have Hisako Ichiki, from Tokyo." The Professor said. "She has the unique ability to create a Psionc Exoskeleton-like Armour around her body giving her increased speech and an extremely high level of durability, stamina and invunerability."
Hisako was a small, Asian girl with short black hair and a nervous looking demeanor.
"Can you show us?" Jamie asked.
"I might break something in here." Hisako said, quietly.
"Why don't you all go outside and introduce yourselfs and get to know each other?" Storm suggested.
Everyone nodded and made their way out of the room with Pete closing the door behind them, leaving Storm, Emma, The Professor, Hank and Scott alone in the living room.
"I will go and check on Rahne if anyone wants to come." Beast told everyone as he left the room.
"Beast, allow me to join you." the Professor and Beast walked back over to him and began to push Charles' chair out of the room.
Emma stood up "I believe I would like to come as well." She said, catching up to the two. "Maybe I can awaken her with my mind if Charles can't."
"Have you informed the new students about Rahne yet?" Beast asked.
"Yes, Hank and they have been told not to go in the infirmary without Kitty's or your permission."
"Let's just hope Rahne wakes up soon." Hank said. "For her sake and Kitty's."
