Before I start this chapter, I would like to apologize for slacking. I have been bust lately with school and medical problems, but I shall slowly start to update more often. This chapter is about medium length, but the next chapter will be a long one so be ready. Also I'm doing a small contest. To all the writers who review and see this chapter, P.M me what you think my favorite flower is. The winner will help me do the next chapter and get a small surprise! Let the reading begin! ~WildSugarPatches
Kuai Lang's P.O.V
I walked throughout Earthrealm with a scowl across my face. The woman I loved, the reason why I thought my heart even beats, had friend zoned me. She was soon to be married, but it hurt. It felt as if someone had taken a sword or dagger and stabbed me through my soul over a million times. To get my mind off of the Princess, I decided to hit a bar that mega movie star, John Carlton aka Johnny Cage, had shown me before when I went through a tough split with Skarlet.
The welcome sign flashed with neon lights and I stepped in, the scowl making people shift uncomfortably in their seats. The waitresses were dressed very scantily, some wore bikinis and some wore nothing at all. But I was here to see my brother, Bi-Han for some advice.
I sat down miserably and noticed a glowing G-string very close to my face. When I looked up, I noticed very sadly it was Bi-Han.
"Dude! The hell are you wearing?!" I hissed as he sent me a happy smile.
"Shhhh! Relax bro… this is heaven…" he trailed off before smacking a dancer on the ass. She gave him the bird and he replied back by flicking out his tongue.
"I don't even want to know. Look, I'm having some girl troubles…" I sighed as he handed me a drink. I took a small sip and it burned the back of my throat as I coughed it back up.
"No problem! You came to the right dude little bro!" he retorted by ruffling my black hair. I bit his finger angrily which only made him giggle.
"I fell in love. I fell hard for this amazing woman. Only she's engaged to be married. I don't want to tear them apart, but I can't stand to watch her go down the aisle either." I confessed. He looked down at me and shrugged.
"Who's the girl?" he asked while filing his long hot pink finger nails. Trying to ignore that, I sipped another sip from the mysterious drink and I realized I felt better.
"Princess Kitana." I replied. He burst out into a fit of laughter and I noticed his nipples were pierced. He stopped laughing and wiped away a tear from his curly eyelashes.
"Dude! She's 10,000 years old! And she's engaged! What the fuck did you think she was going to do?" he asked with a small grin. I smiled softly thinking of how dumb it sounded for me, a powerful Cyromancer, to be crushing helplessly on a 10,000 year old warrior Princess. Just then I got a call on my phone from Sonya Blade so I shushed Bi-Han. He simply shrugged and climbed up the stripper pole, sliding his body down the pole and making the girls go wild.
"Sup Sonya?" I asked. She took a deep breath as I heard many female voices yelling and I heard one sobbing in the background.
"It is not Liu Kang Lady Kitana! It is Kuai Lang! Anyway, I'm here with Jade, Skarlet, Kitana and Mileena. Way too many females for me to handle. Can you come over and help?" she pleaded. I looked over at my bisexual brother who was now doing some disco moves with neon flashing maracas.
"Sure. Is Kitana alright?" I questioned, hearing her crying in the background.
"Yeah. She's just pregnant." Sonya finished. My skin grew cold. I dropped my phone into a glass of beer and I stormed to Sonya's house in a fit of rage.
Mileena's P.O.V
"You mean everything to me Mileena," he spoke softly as we stood underneath a cherry blossom tree. I looked at him and smiled ecstatically as the flowers rained down.
"What are you trying to say Kung Lao?" I asked my arms folded in front of my chest. I was wearing a traditional cheongsam that he bought for me that was made out of the softest of silk. My short hair flowed with the breeze as the flowers parachuted down rapidly. He simply smiled and placed one in my hair as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I love you…" he trailed off before softly planting a kiss on the side of my neck. I blushed and nodded as we started to sway.
"I love you too…" I breathed, my eyes closing due to happiness. I was about to pull his arms tighter around me when I felt something warm drip down my neck and legs. I turned around and Kung Lao was decapitated, with Baraka standing in front of me. I reached for my sais but my body seemed to move so slow.
My arms dragged heavily as I finally placed them in each hand, but as I went to jab them in his shoulder blades, I fell. I fell hard onto a wooden bridge and the blossoms coated my body. He grabbed me and his long tongue slid up my neck as I vomited in disgust.
"Get ready to be Queen Tarkatan!" he hissed as he pulled me away from Kung Lao's lifeless body.
I woke up gasping for air as flashes from the horrible nightmare clouded my mind. I was covered in sweat and I grasped on tightly to the hand that lay next to me. It was unusually delicate and I noticed it had red nail polish on its fingers. I raised a brow and shook my head.
"Kung Lao, is there something we need to talk about?" I asked aloud. I got no answer but a small snore and I smiled softly. I pulled the sheet back and saw crimson hair flowing down the pillow.
"Skarlet!" I yelled shaking her. She popped up alert and launched a kunai into the wall, her eyes wide and focused on me.
"What? Where's the danger?" she asked, pulling the kunai out of Sonya's wall. I shook my head and rubbed my fingertips against Kung Lao's hat.
"Where's Kung Lao…?" I trailed off. She bit her lip and didn't face me, but stretched like a red lazy cat that just woke up.
"He's gone off with Liu Kang to go kill Baraka. Kitana's here as well and Kuai Liang will be coming soon. Get your sleep, Sonya's going to be going army style on us later on so you need all the energy you can get." she informed me. I nodded and lay on my side turning away from her as a hot tear ran down my cheek as I thought of Kung Lao. My thoughts were interrupted by a loud knock at the door and suddenly, the air felt cold. It's like once he left, everything lost its balance.
