"Luke I know something's wrong so just tell me!" Jenny snapped as they walked to school.

"It's nothing, okay? I promise." Luke looked to her but couldn't make it look or sound convincing.

Jenny sighed as they caught up to Rani and Clyde.

"Sorry, who are you two again?" Clyde joked, grinning, ducking out the way when Jenny raised her hand to smack him on the head. "Nice of you two to make an appearance though."

"Well it's only for a couple of hours, he needs to get back to finish his packing." Jenny smirked.

Luke smiled a little. "Yeah..."

Jenny and Rani shared a look, neither of them liked how distant he seemed, but Clyde seemed indifferent to his friend's strange behaviour.

The four of them walked into school, and made their way towards their form room for registration.

Rani and Jenny took their seats beside each other and Luke and Clyde were at the side of them.

"He looks like he hasn't slept for days." Rani whispered, her tone full of concern.

"He barely has... not since this university acceptance..." Jenny admitted. "I tried to get him to talk to me but he won't."

"Ugh why do boys have to be so cagey with their emotions? S'not the 1970's now it is okay for a lad to show how he feels."

"He's been taking 'cool lessons' from Tweedle Dum over there don't forget... it's not "cool" to show you feel if you're male." Jenny reminded her. "But Luke's no ordinary boy though..."

"Yeah I know." Rani sighed heavily. "Here!" She called when her name was called over the register.

Once registration was over the bell rang once more, but the teenagers that occupied the room were stopped when the headmaster walked into the room. At once they all sat back down as Haresh stood at the front of the class.

"Good morning, class." He spoke, and was met with the usual dull teenage chorus of "Morning Mr Chandra."

"Clyde are you gonna be in a mood with me all day?" Luke asked.

"Dunno, ain't decided yet." His friend spoke, avoiding eye contact for all of ten seconds before flashing him a grin. "C'mon you know I don't stay mad for long."

Luke smiled a smile of relief. "Good."

A/N: sorry it's a little short, I promise the next one will be longer :)
