Chapter 14
Grace's POV
We were at the Valdez residents when I told Madie that her best friend was found dead in his home. I heard her break down as I caught her and gave Jason a nod, telling him that I will stay with her since I had to stay with her anyway. "I'm so sorry Madie, I'm so sorry." I whispered as I patted her back to try and help her calm down, but that only made her cry harder into me. It broke my hear to see this girl broken because of a stalker that was being a dick.
"I wished it didn't end up that way, I'm so sorry Madie. I know how hard it is, I lost my sister Hali when I was 18 to murder." I said and she finally let me go.
"Thanks, for everything but I don't need your help." She said before walking away but I stopped her.
"Don't you want to keep other people that you care about from dying Madie?" I asked and she turned and nodded.
"Well let me help you, please. You need me and you know that. So please don't block me out when I know you know that I know what your feeling at the moment." I said and she walked back towards me and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry about your twin, I guess I never really guessed he would kill him." She said and I nodded, knowing what she meant.
"I know, I never and didn't think he would get violent like that," I said as I felt a tear come down but I quickly pushed it away, I didn't need to break down in front of a girl that was already having a mental breakdown because of her friend being dead.
"I'll take you up to a room," She said and I nodded, before thanking her. She brought me up to a room that I could be in until we caught him. Once she shut the door I broke down right against it, tears coming down my face as I struggled to breathe, my tears stinging the sides of my mouth as I tried to breathe, I could see my phone ringing but I let it carry on.
Hotch's POV
"She's still not answering," I said as I looked over at Reid who was pacing around the room, Garcia was trying to find out where she was but it was proving difficult as she had it wired to 25 different sub stations, making everyone on the team confused and worried because it was obvious that she was hiding something and by the time it was rerouted 25 times, It was obvious that she was hiding from someone.
"Anything Garcia?" I asked her, stubborn. The worry evident in my voice.
"I'm trying sir, but whatever she used to rerouted the call is damn good because I can't crack it. She's definitely hiding from someone by the time she has rerouted this much to keep it hidden." She said, "I'm getting there though," She said.
"How many more?" I asked looking over at her.
"15 More, as soon as I crack those I will have a full connection on where she is." Garcia said and I nodded, Rossi was looking worried. The girls were crying nearly at how there friend was now missing or left. Morgan was trying to calm Reid down but I could tell that he was worried as well, not that she had been gone for almost 36 hours but that she left without any kind of warning. She left without giving us warning that she was.
Finally after countless coffees and countless shouting's Garcia finally made it down to five different substations. "Hey, you've got five choices, here they are. Texas, Dallas, Boston, Michigan or New Mexico." Said Garcia, her eyes tired and she was carrying her laptop on her left arm.
"I'll head to Texas." I said.
"I'll head with Reid to Boston," Said Morgan.
"I'll take JJ and go to Michigan," Said Rossi.
"I'll take Garcia and head to Dallas.
"I'll go to New Mexico," Said another voice and we turned to look at another girl, she looked tired.
"Hi, I'm Jade Rollo, I knew Grace. I thought you guys would need help." She said as she pulled her coat around her body and we all nodded.
"Please, when you find her. Don't push her to tell you why she left, it'll make her break even more than she is." She said and we all again nodded.
We decided not to go away straight away, maybe in about four days.
4 Day's Later.
"We can go today sadly as we have a case in Texas, which includes multiple murders and one stalker." Garcia said as she clicked on her remote, the black shadows under her eyes showed that she had not been sleeping well. "Wheels up in 30, Garcia your coming with us." I said and she nodded before grabbing her to go bag from her room.
Something didn't seem right, even I knew it. I think the whole team knew something serious was up with the case in Texas and without Grace being here it was going to make it ten times harder. To make a profile on the guy, and if we wanted to talk to her about the case she would have to answer our calls but however she ain't.
We headed to the airstrip and everyone sat away from each other, this was what it has been since Grace has been gone. She made us all pull away from each other as that is how worried we are about her. She doesn't even know it because she doesn't care about gossip in the office, she's just there to do her job and then hope for the best. I do hope that she cares for us as much as we care for her.
We started to land in Texas and drove silently to Texas PD where we would meet Jason who is the unit chief of the organised crimes here in Texas as it is one of his agents that is getting stalked. The only thing we weren't suspecting to find was the one person that we have been looking for over a week for.
