"What is this." Depth thought deep within his subconscious, "I can't see... and I can't move. What is this warm feeling?"

"Wake up. Wake up Azrael."suddenly a voice in the darkness.

"That voice. Its sounds so familiar. But I can't quite recall." Depth thought to himself as he made another attempt at moving but it was to no avile.

"Hey Azrael Wake up! Huh! Its no good, I think he might be dead." the voice continues.

"You shouldn't say things like that." another voice interjects,"You should let him rest. He's had a long journey."

Depth was confident he knew this voice without thinking a single word left his lips,"Mother?" as the light finally made its way to his eyes. And what he saw he could not believe.

"See, all he needed was alittle rest." Azrael's mother smiled.

"Sure and my screaming had nothing to do with him waking up." Ariel whispered under her breath.

Suddenly a single tear escape's from Depth's left eye. He knew he had to say something but he simply could not found the words.

"Azrael are you okay sweetheart?" his mother said as she bent down and wiped the tear from his cheek.

He immediately pulled her into a deep embrace."Mom." It took her by surprised but she then proceeded to hug him back smiling.

"Thats a relief." His mom replied."You've been gone a long time. I was afraid you might have forgotten about me."

"I could never forget you." Depth said releasing his mother from their hug. As he took a good look at her face. Without thinking he whispered under his breath,"Old."

His mother jerked back in shock from his outbrust.

Azrael could see the fear building its way up in Ariel's eyes as she slowly made her way to the door.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" His mother screamed forcing Depth's eyes back on her. "You've got some nerve! If I look old its because of you and all the turmoil you put me through. With all the temper tantrums and the puberty and the Girls!"

"Mom. Mom! Settledown I didn't mean it like that!" Depth yells trying to defuse the situation.

"Then how did you mean it? I swear kids these days are just so ungrateful. I carried you for nine months! Do you how long it took me to get my figure back.?" his mother continued turning her back to him. "And another thing... Where'd he go?" she said noticing she was talking to herself

Just Outside

"Oh man, that wasn't exactly the teary eyed reunion I had in mind." Depth said under his breath. "How could I tell her. How could I ever tell her that I've never seen her look that old before... Why is that... Why can't I remember... anything."

As Depth exaimed his surroundings he saw that he was in an all too familiar setting. "The Dragon Warrior Guild. it looks like it did before..." Depth grabbed his head as he was suddenly struck by an intense migraine. "Before what... What is... this."

"Azrael why are you out here?" asked Zadkiel, Ariel slightly older brother, with a sheath sword gripped tightly in in chalky white left hand. Not just hand his entire demon arm was completely colorless. "Shouldn't you be resting after all you just got back the other day."

"His out here because he got in trouble with mommy." Ariel added a light smile on her face.

"Geez Azrael I always knew you had trouble with the ladies, but your own mother." Zadkiel laughed."I'd loved to meet that nen master you're supposedly engaged to."

"Engaged. Hold on a minute." Depth tried to interupt but failed miserible.

"You know they say opposites attract." Ariel exclaimed," for all we know she might be completely different than our favorite Soul Reaper."

"You think so?" Zadkiel questioned her.

"You never know. She might not be completely hopeless." Ariel finished.

"Soul Reaper?" Depth whispered,"Wasn't I." suddenly another intense migraine attacking Depth's train of thought once again.

Depth saw Ariel left hand where an emblem radiating in an azure blue had been place,"Ariel what is that thing." Depth said pointing to the emblem.

"Oh this? Its a device to help me better manuplate the elemental powers within me. Forcing the energy into my blade. I'm surprise you haven't seen one before all Sword Masters use it.

"I see. So, both Ariel and Zadkiel have chosen their paths already I guess I've been away longer than I thought." Depth thought to himself. As Depth exaimed them closely he saw that the white armor that Zadkiel was wearing was both impressive and worn meaning he had been in his fair share of battles up until now. He also saw the armor had the capability to carry three swords into battle two smaller swords like katana or lightsabre on the waist and a great sword on the back. Ariel on the other hand. Wore a dark blue light armor with golden clothes holding it together She had but one katana placed at her hip, but for a Sword Master one sword was more than enough.

"Hey what are my favorite young dungeon fighters up to. Surely you guys aren't trying to get out of your training." said an approaching voice.

"Yo A-gan-ZO!" Zadkiel shouted

"Zadkiel I already told you saying my name like that wasn't appropiate during training what makes you think now is any better?" Aganzo asked.

"Because we're not training right now..."Zadkiel answered.

Ariel placed her hand on her face,"I am surrounded by idiots."She said in a hopeless tone.

"Than what say we fix that, meet me at the training ground in five." Aganzo responded.

"What? But why? We already did I full session." Zadkiel cried as Ariel pushed him throughs the training grounds.

"No use crying about it, just take your punishment like a big boy." Ariel conforts her brother.

Depth takes a step after them only to have Aganzo place his hand on his shoulder stopping him in his place."Not you Azrael, You're a Soul Reaper now. I'm afraid you're beyond my teachings now. For one you're following a path that is very different from my own and secondly you just got back relax a little." Depth nodded he got forgotten what a great teacher Aganzo could be.

As Depth made his way back to the Guild Hall he heard Aganzo call ou to him once again. "Azrael there is one more thing I wanted to talk to you about. Things have been going pretty good for the guild lately things are pretty stable and one of our most respected Guild Officers has just returned to us."

"Me?" Depth said as he pointed to himself.

Aganzo nodded,"I think its about time for a change in leadership. I'll step down and become a Guild Officer so I can show you the ropes for few months and then Azrael I want you to become the new Guild Master of the Dragon Warrior Guild."

"Guild Master. Me. No way." Azrael whispered not believing his ears.

Back in reality

"So you've given him a dream Saya. And by the looks of it, an extremely pleasent one." Kalla asked as the Demon God's eyes moved towards the body of the young soul bender completely encased in ice and frost.

"I wouldn't create a nightmare for him that would be far too much work for a trial base around sloth. And besides this way we can keep things a bit more interesting." Saya grinned,"What do you think about this Rhasa, after all you did only offer him part of your power. I wonder what kind of scheme you're hatching."

Rhasa said nothing. He simply looked away thinking,"Human beings can be so weak losing themselve to how they wish things would be. One thing is certain if you don't wake up and escape from that icy prison this dream will be the last one you ever have."
