She was an idiot.

'Why was I so stupid?!' Kagome thought, making sure not to move a muscle as about twenty American agents pointed their guns at her and Thor, 'Did I really think I would get out of this?!'

She really was an idiot.

"Drop the hammer," An older man stepped forward and stared at her calmly, yet she still felt like she was being observed under a microscope, "We don't want to hurt you."

'As if I believe that.' Kagome wanted to snort, but she knew that there really wasn't anything she could do in this situation – not when she had Souta to think about.

The hammer seemed to hum pleasantly in her grasp and she bit her lip, daring a glance at Thor.

If one could look devastated but ecstatic at the same time, that would be how she could describe Thor's expression at that moment.

'If I go with them, that should give Souta enough time to use that phone and they will never be able to trace him,' Kagome thought and slowly began to lower the hammer back to the ground.

"My Priestess, you..." Thor paused, as if not knowing what to say next and he didn't even struggle when someone stepped behind him and handcuffed him, "You can..."

Kagome threw him an apologetic smile, "It's not over," She had this overwhelming urge to comfort him, "Please, don't worry."

An agent roughly grabbed her and her hands were also cuffed behind her back. The man, who seemed to be in charge, nodded and she and Thor were suddenly hauled in one direction.

But Kagome being Kagome simply could not them think they had complete control over her, "I'm sorry that you normal humans won't be able to do a thing with Meallnear."

The man raised a brow, giving her another look over, "'Normal humans'?" He repeated with interest and she flinched and knew she really needed to learn how to keep her mouth shut, "I would like to know what you mean by that."

Why was she such an idiot?
