Ugh, back to school.
A day after the rapist was arrested, we were promptly driven back to school, because apparently we weren't going to play for a month in order to build up 'suspense.' Leo went to meet up with some friends, and I went to get a key, due to the second quarter starting. Hopefully, this time I won't share the same room as Leo.
I mean, yeah, we were friends… I shivered when I thought of that word. But I think I want some distance between us, we do practically everything together.
I went to the counter, and I asked for a key. The gardevoir working there gave me one, and I went on my way.
"Room 78, where is it…" I searched through the rooms. "80, 81…" Oh, wrong way. I retraced my steps and found the room where I was supposed to stay.
I opened the door, and I was greeted by a terrible smell. There was trash littered all over the floor, flies were buzzing everywhere in the room, plus there was mold spreading near the bathroom.
I quickly slammed the door shut and ran back to the front desk. "Could I have another key please?" I begged the psychic type, and she rolled her eyes. She gave me another key, and sat back down, reading some magazine. "This is the last key, so you're stuck with this room."
I thanked her, and went on my way once again, searching each room, until I found it. "Found it, room 89!" I spoke out loud to practically nobody.
I entered the room to see… Someone unfamiliar. He was staring at the TV screen, playing some video game. It looked familiar…
Wait, I'm sharing a room again, aren't I. I groaned, alerting the pokemon to my presence. "Oh, I guess you're my roommate, huh?" I looked at the ground and nodded. The pokemon who I was talking to was, surprisingly, a fenniken. He would normally be a braixen at this point. What's up with that?
"Aww, I don't know you… Um.. what's your name…?" He asked. He seemed kind of shy, but definitely more outgoing than I was.
"I-it's T-Tim…" I stuttered. I hate meeting new people, in case it wasn't noticeable at this point.
"Hmm… Oh! Weren't you that riolu who fought at the entrance exam?" I nodded shyly. Hmm, you start to notice patterns in the carpet if you stare long enough. Interesting…
"Well…. My name is Ice… I guess we'll be roommates?" I nodded, shuffling over to my bed. I sat down, and set my suitcase down.
"I… I have to go meet with some friends, so I'll see you later…" He said, and quickly ran out of the room. Well, this ought to be fun.
I started unpacking, and I discovered that Leo's family is really generous. I found multiple consoles in there, even though I didn't really need them, because… I don't know, but it's actually kind of appreciated. I found some sort of tablet that had all my school books in it digitally, so I didn't need to carry the actual books around, and also a picture that I never noticed. It was with me and Leo when I won the fighting tournament. I blushed, and quickly put that back in the suitcase. Sorry about that, Leo.
The bells rang, signaling that it was time for the first class to start. Hmm, according to the schedule, I have chemistry first. I quickly grabbed the book thing and packed it into my back, and I ran towards the class room… Wait, where am I supposed to go? I decided to ask the front desk lady, although she would be annoyed.
I asked, and I have to go to the other side of the building. Great. I started running instantly, and avoided anyone who would say something like "No running in the halls!"
I found my way to the room, and as I opened the door, I was greeted with the sight of about 5 or 6 people. Good, I wasn't late. I quickly sat down in the corner. Hmm, I wonder who's in this class with me…
Soon, people started coming through the door, until the classroom was practically full. Only the spot next to mine remained, and of course, the place where the teacher sat. Soon, a familiar face appeared at the door. Let me give you a hint who it was. It was a small-ish four legged fox.
It was… Not Leo, but it was Ice, who was gasping for air. I saw him look around the room, possibly searching for a familiar face, or an open seat. His eyes soon passed over the open seat next to mine, and he trudged slowly towards me. Pleas e let there be another open seat somewhere… I looked around the room, but spotted no other seats. He cautiously sat down next to me. "…Hi…" He muttered. Oh, he was talking to me? "H-hello…" I said. There was a bit of an awkward silence between us, until the teacher came in, who was surprisingly an aggron. I noticed Ice blush and look down. What's up with him?
The aggron stood at the front behind the desk, and started speaking. "Hello, class. My name is Zero, (I guess last names don't exist or something?) and I'm your teacher for chemistry." Well, with the way Ice was reacting, I guess he knows this aggron. "Now, please open your books to page 74…" The class progressed normally, with Ice occasionally glancing at Zero and blushing.
I also noticed the teacher glance at the fire type a few times, which I found odd. They're probably friends or something.
"Now, everyone pair up with the person next to you, and grab a box from the shelf in the back." So I guess I was going to be working with Ice. This is going to take a while.
We got a box, which was number 9, by the way, if anyone was interested, and we started working. Zero said that we were going to be making an antidote today. Inside the box, there were two pecha berries, a vial of water, and something to mix it, and an empty vial. Well, this shouldn't be much work.
We started working on the antidote, which didn't seem complicated at first. We started by plugging in some sort of thing that was supposed to heat up the antidote, and we placed the empty vial onto it.
"Alright, now we need to squeeze the juice into vial…" He said, and for whatever reason, he tried to pick up the berry with his paw, and it rolled away. "H-here, I got it." I said, and picked up the berry. I gripped it too tightly though, and it was essentially crushed in my hand. All the juice spurted out, most of it landing on my face. We just looked at each other and laughed, as though we were friends. I flinched.
I got cleaned up, and we got another berry. This time, we managed to do it properly, and we soon had a vial full of antidote. The teacher poured it into two smaller vials for us, and we both had an antidote. Yay I guess? I don't know where this will be useful, but everyone else fucked theirs up somehow, so we were the only two with an antidote. Hurray.
The period was soon over, and we all walked out. I am not looking forward to the next two periods.
The second period was uneventful, with neither Ice or Leo in my class. Hmm, I haven't seen Leo at all today, except for this morning.
The third period was also uneventful, until the end. Just as I was packing my bag, I noticed a female loppuny looking around the room. She looked like one of those 'popular' girls, who are essentially just extremely rude/mean. I could have probably explained that much better to be honest…
Her eyes soon landed on me, and she smirked. She walked over to me, and stood in front of my desk. "Carry my books." She simply said, and stood there, looking irritated.
I was confused. What just happened…? The rabbit started getting mad. "I said, carry my books, you fucking maggot!" (I'm terrible at insults, by the way. Sorry about that)
Okay, I don't know who she thinks she is… "Why should I?" I asked. Holy shit, that was brave of me.
I could swear that she was about to explode. "BECAUSE I FUCKING TOLD YOU TO!" Okay, time to run.
I grabbed my bag, and got out of the room as quickly as I could. I heard an angry scream. I headed into the cafeteria, where I saw Leo amongst a bunch of people, mainly guys. But there were a few girls there as well. I also noticed Ice sitting with a keldeo and a zangoose, and instead of red marks, the zangoose had green ones. Okay, that's just plain weird.
I grabbed some lunch at the counter, and I went to my table in the corner. Surprisingly, Leo didn't notice me. That's a relief, although I seem to feel slightly sad. Before I started eating, I glanced around the room. Leo was being the center of attention, I saw Rexon talking with some people, and I saw Ice showing off his antidote to his friends, and they were laughing. Wow, he eats quickly. He didn't even have any food left. Did lunch start early?
I looked around the room, and everyone had only eaten a few bites. I guess he just really likes food.
I'll just start eating I guess… I picked up the fork, but before I started eating, I heard people start coughing and wheezing, and I looked up. Everyone in the room was feeling sick all of a sudden, except for me. Is it something in the food?
Some people were feeling worse than others, and falling onto the floor, but I didn't see anyone who was too bad. I quickly stood up. I have to tell someone!
The lunch person was also passed out on the floor, so I was basically the only one who was okay. Shit.
I was about to run out and get help, until I heard someone talk. "Ice… Are you… Okay…?" I looked to the left, to see the fire type on the floor, twitching with his eyes closed, and he was barely breathing.
Oh fuck. Wait, he has an antidote, doesn't he? My eyes trailed over to his paw, where he was holding the antidote before. The vial was shattered on the floor, and the liquid was spread all over the floor.
Damnit, what do I do now?! I suddenly remembered something. "Come on.. Let it be there…" I dug into my bag, fishing out the vial.
Alright, I got it! I started working my way through the passed out people, and to Ice, before I spotted Leo on the ground. He was coughing and wheezing. Nothing as bad as Ice, but I didn't like seeing him that way… I stopped.
I'm Leo's friend, aren't I…?
I looked back over to Ice. But he needs my help more… I made up my mind.
I continued to the fire type, I couldn't let someone die. Wow, I'm seeming kind of heroic.
I kneeled down , and spotted his keldeo friend with a worried expression on his face. He was still sitting, but he was also coughing and wheezing.
"Don't… Hurt… Him…" I heard him cough out.
I opened the vial, and I quickly poured the contents into Ice's mouth. Please let this work… If it doesn't work, then…
He coughed, and his eyes opened weakly. His breathing picked up, and I sighed in relief.
Alright, now to get a teacher or someone. I ran out of the cafeteria, and I started running towards the teacher's room. On my way, I bumped into a samurott, who I recognized as my biology teacher last year. I think his name was… Rotor? That doesn't matter right now.
"Excuse me, sir, something happened in the cafeteria!" He turned towards me. "What happened?" He sounded fairly uninterested.
"Someone poisoned the food!" His eyes widened.
A few hours later, everyone was healed, and school was out for the rest of the day, thank goodness. I'm just glad that's over with.
So, that was chapter 14. I think this one was the longest yet, surprisingly.
Anyways, thanks to Virgofox28, for submitting Ice, Keldeo, Rotor, Zero, and the green zangoose. (You'll find out the name next chapter.)
I know that this chapter wasn't particularly good. Sorry about that!
I hope you guys enjoyed, and feel free to submit OCs!
