Tournament Arc Part 9: The Quarter Finals Part 1/2

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WELCOME BACK TO THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE TOURNAMENT! I AM SO PUMPED FOR THIS! TODAY I HAVE A GENIN WITH ME WHO COMPETED IN THE TOURNAMENT CALLED ATSUKO! HOW WAS YOUR TIME IN THE TOURNAMENT?" The commentator shouted.

"It was amaz-balls…too bad I did not make it as far as Hitu has." Atsuko respond.

"The first match will start any minutes so GET READY FOR SOME ACTION!" The commentator was pumped.

"Kazuma-san. You can do it. Thandi is coming to see you soon from the hospital." Hiroshima informed.

"I'm fired up! I have never fought someone who is both extremely smart and strong as well."Kazuma's voice was full of excitement.

"Sockhead…this is going to be a tough match…SO GO BEAT HIM!" Eddy instructed.

"DO IT FOR GRAVY!" Ed exclaimed. "AND BUTTERED TOAS…"

"SHUT UP ED!" Eddy clamed Ed's mouth closed with his hand.

Edd and Kazuma headed to the arena while Hiroshima and the other Eds headed back to their seats.

"Are you ready?" The referee enquired. The duo were staring intensely at each other as they simultaneously nodded. The crowd fell silent waiting for the referee to start the match.

"BEGIN!"

"RASENGAN!" Kazuma quickly made the first move by quickly making a Rasengan in his hand. A Sage Jutsu huh? He is one skilled opponent. Edd was thinking a the blue sphere was heading towards him.

"I→ Tatsu→Ne→Saru WATER STYLE: WATER SEPARATION JUTSU!" Water droplets from the grouds gathered forming a huge blob of water suspended in mid-air in front of Edd protecting him from the Rasengan.

"INCREDIBLE! HE USED THE WATER TO BLOCK THE ATTACK!" The commentator repeated what just happened.

"Tatsu →Ushi→U→Tora→Saru→Tora→I WATER STYLE: WATER LANCES!" Several lances pierced from the surface of the blob and rushed towards Kazuma. He responded by clapping his hands.

"WIND STYLE: GALE PALM!" The winds were strong enough to slow down and even stop the lances in their tracks causing them to lose their shapes and collapse on the floor.

"It appears they are holding back…"Atsuko noted.

"Huh…what do you mean?" The commentator said with confusion.

"Both sides want to see what each can do…" Atsuko replied as Edd and Kazuma stood there after the recent offensive. Both sides were waiting to see who would make the first move. Kazuma reached for a kunai knife with an explosive tag and quickly threw at the ground between Edd and Kazuma. What is he planning? Edd brainstormed. Kazuma quickly clapped twice.

"WIND STYLE: WIND CYCLONE!" A cyclone formed around the kunai.

"No way!" Edd said full of shock as the explosive tag exploded causing the cyclone to turn orange and to be filled with fire. "You used the wind to create and increase of the fire." Edd discovered.

"WIND STYLE: GALE PALM!" Gales started blowing causing the fire to get even greater and asea of blaze charged towards Eddward. "I call this SCROTCH STYLE: RAGING SEA!" That means this fire is too hot to be stopped by fire! Edd realised as the flames engulfed him.

"DOUBLE-D!" Ed shouted.

"INCREDIBLE! Kazuma used his awesome winds to power up the fire creating a powerful attack!" The commentator explained.

"Is it me or is it cold in here." Atusko shivered. The flames died leaving only a blacken ground and no trace of Edd.

Edd abruptly rose from the ground behind Kazuma causing him to turn his head to the side but before he even got a clear glimpse of Edd, Edd punched in the cheek sending him back a few pace.

"But…how?" Kazuma was bamboozled.

"Simple…when the fire was ebbing towards me I used my Sub Zero Jutsu then using my Water Separation Jutsu I created a frozen orb to protect me from the blaze. I then weaken the ground by draining the water from it allowing me to create a tunnel that led behind." Edd clarified as he released the Sub Zero Jutsu.

"That explains why it felt so cold…"Atsuko put 1 and 1 together. Edd gathered charka into his hand and punch the ground causing it to collapse the tunnel and creating a pit above Kazuma causing him to fall in.

"Tora→ Ushi→ Sara→ U→ Ne→ I→ Tori→ Ushi→ Uma→ Inu→ Tora→ Inu→ Tora→ Mi→ Tora→ Ushi→ Sara→ U Water Style: GIANT VORTEX JUTSU!" Edd said. The water filled up the ditch forming a long body of water and overwhelmed Kazuma.

"NICE WORK SOCKHEAD!" Ed and Eddy shouted. Suddenly the newly formed lake started sparking with electricity and a bolt of Lightning leaped from the pond and impaled Edd.

The sparks stopped and Kazuma rose from the water and stepped onto the bank. He removed his headband from his arm and tied it to his forehand after removing his jacket. "Now, I'm pumped!" Kazuma smiled as the crowd roared.

"Tatsu →Ushi→U→Tora→Saru→Tora→I WATER STYLE: WATER LANCES!" 20 Lances ripped through the lake's surface and chased Kazuma who acrobatically avoided them. 3 lances cornered him but he annulled them with a kunai kniffe slicing their stems.

"INCREDIBLE! HE AVOIDED ALL OF THE LANCES!" The commentator shouted.

"SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!" Another Kazuma appeared on his right side. The looked at each other and nodded indicating they knew the plan. The real Kazuma started making a Rasengan while the clone did the hand signs for Shocking Spear. The Rasengan absorned the lightning turning it yellow. "LIGHTNING STYLE: RASENGAN!"

Kazuma toss the flashing sphere.

"WATER STYLE: WATER LANCES!" A water lance pierced through the Rasengan destroying it and it absorb the lightning causing the lance to radiate a blue aura then penetrated Kazuma in the chest.

"INCREDIBLE! HE USED THE LIGHTNING TO POWER UP HIS JUTSU!" Atsuko shouted

"AGH!" Kazuma's mouth opened wide as blood drizzled from the side. His clone ceased to exist and Kazuma's body fell into the makeshift pond. His eyes closely closed…

"DON'T GIVE UP!" Kazuma's words resonated in head. His eyes open, he put on a determined face.

"Kazuma is unable to battle. The winner is…huh?" Everyone's attention was brought to the lake where the surface was rippling.

WIND STYLE: WIND CYCLONE! Kazuma thought. A cyclone appeared absorbing all the water and leaving the lake dry as a rock. Kazuma could be seen panting and soaked in water.

"UNBELIVABLE! HE CAN STILL STAN AFTER SUCH A POWERFUL ATTACK! THE BATTLE STILL CONTINUES!" The commentator bellowed into the microphone. He is not only strong…but determined. Edd thought as he started making hand signs.

"C'MON DOUBLE-D!" His teammates cheered

"C'MON KAZUMA! YOU CAN WIN THIS!" Kazuma made another Shadow clone wand they proceeded to make another Lightning Style Rasengan.

"Surely, if it didn't work the first time…why would it work the second?" Atsuko questioned Kazuma's logic.

"WATER STYLE! SKY DRILL DROP!" A water drill appeared above swirling mass of water. Unexpectedly Kazuma plunged the Lightning Style Rasengan into the water cyclone as the drill fell merging with the cyclone and filled the air with dust obstructing the audience's view of Kazuma. When the dust settled no water could been and a massive blue Rasengan with yellow Lightning zapping around the orb appeared above Kazuma's head. The Rasengan absorbed the water! Edd noted in his mind.

"TIME TO FINISH THIS!" Kazuma as he began to throw the massive Rasengan! "STORM RELEASE: RASENGAN!" Despite its size the ball travelled quickly. Amazing…he combined my Water with his Lightning to make Storm Release…he is truly incredible! Edd thought before the Rasengan impacted causing a huge explosion that sounded across the whole village. The smoke cleared revealing an unconscious Edd.

"Eddward is unable to battle. The winner is Kazuma." The crowd applauded Kazuma's victory. Kazuma walked over to Edd who was lying on the floor with his eyes open.

"Need a hand?" Kazuma extended his hand to help Edd up.

"Thanks." Edd showed his appreciation. Kazuma showed his fist and Edd fist bumped it showing the two newfound friendships.

"Some great sportsmanship there…I think…I'm gonna cry…"The commentator said melodramatically.

"Okay…The first member of Team Ed has fallen. Will Ed join his comrade or will he proceed to the semi-finals to fight Kazuma. Find out after this short break."

"KAZUMA-KUN, YOU WERE AMAZING!" Thandi hugged Kazuma but was greeted with moaning. "Oh, sorry, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I will be fine." Kazuma said holding his chest injury.

"Arigato…Kazuma-san…"Hiroshima and Jaco thanked him

"For what?" Kazuma wandered.

"For beating him for us…"They responded. Meanwhile at the hospital, Eddy was not happy.

"MAN, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU LOST DOUBLE-D!" Eddy scolded his teammate who was sitting in a chair.

"Sorry Eddy…" Edd's voice was full of disappointment. There was knocking at the door. The door slowly opened revealing Sarah and Nazz both covered in plasters.

"Hey Double-D…sorry about how your match went…"Nazz apologized.

"You do not have to be sorry." Edd told Nazz. "Sarah, how's Jimmy."

"His condition, hasn't improved." Sarah informed him.

"Anyway, I have to go…my match is soon plus I don't want to miss Ed's fight." Edd said departing.

Ed and Rosalina arrived at the arena.

"Ready…BEGIN!" The referee started the match.

"CRYSTAL STYLE: CRYSTALSHURIKEN!" Rosalina created a shuriken the size of a toddler threw it at Ed

"NINJA ART: STONE ARMOUR JUTSU!" Stone covered Ed's boy and protected him from the Shuriken. Rosalina quickly created another shuriken at him. "U→Ino→Saru→Ne→Tori! EARTH STYLE: EARTH FOCUS BLAST!" A basketball green sphere charged and destroyed the shuriken. Ed charged towards Rosalina.

"Inu→Ushi→Hitsuji→Ne→Tora→U→Tori→Ne! CRYSTAL STYLE: CRYSTAL WAKIZASHI!" Rosalina created a samurai sword. Rosalina charged with him with the sword . Ed launched a punch but Rosalina parried the fist with the sword. Ed back-flipped backwards to avoid Rosalina's counterattack. Rosalina continued to advanced forward and began slashing at Ed with her sword but Ed protected himself with his lower arm and using his monstrous strength ripped the sword from Rosalina's head and shattered with his two hands. Rosalina moved back a few paces.

"C'MON ED!" Eddy shouted.

"Inu→U→Tatsu→Tora→Jin→Ushi CRYSTAL STYLE: CRYSTAL SPEARS." Rosalina chanted before two pink, sharp crystals to erupt from the arena and penerate Ed's armour at his side. Blood slid down the crystals.

"A DIRECT HIT!" The commentator exclaimed.

"The crystals returned to the ground leaving Ed moaning in pain. Rosalina took advantage of this and side-kicked him in the chest breaking the rest of the armour guarding his torso. "CRYSTAL STYLE: CRYSTAL SHURIKEN!" Rosalina continued her offensive by throwing the weapon and it slashed threw Ed's wally shirt and cut his skin.

"CRYSTAL STYLE: CRYSTAL PENTAGONAL PRISON!" Crystals encased the whole Ed's body completely immobilizing him in the jewel. That prison should drain his charka…preventing him fighting further. Rosalina revealed her idea in her head.

"It appears he has Ed trapped." The commentator commentated. The crowd were waiting for something to happen but nothing came happened. Abruptly the crystals that cased Ed started turning brown and began to lose their transparency. What…I have ever seen that happen to my crystals before. Rosalina was stunned as the now brown crystals started to crack. No…he couldn't have…Suddenly Ed smashed through the brown lumps of rocks then dashed towards her high speeds head-butting her on the head causing a gash of blood to appear on the impact site.

"Your crystal style is nothing more than just Earth Style with special charka joined to the Earth giving it that amazing appearance." Ed figured out.

"No way…but how..." Rosalina slowly began to stand up.

"I used my charka to form a barrier between me and the crystals and it appears my Earth-natured charka altered that special charka returning it back to the Earth it was made from…" Ed explained.

"Since when was the dork so smart?" Kevin pondered.

"It's over…"Ed told Rosalina who smiled in response...

"NO…IT IS ONLY BEGINNING!" Rosalina shouted.

"No she is not going to use…"

"The Crystal Dragon." Kamil interrupted Kalaku.

"No opponent has been worthy yet to see this…except for you EDWARD!" Rosalina screamed as she bit her thumb then quickly reached into her pockets and took out a scroll and swiped the blood across the scroll. "SUMMONING JUTSU!" A huge puff of smoke appeared where Rosalina stood which quickly cleared revealing a dragon made completely out of Crystal that consumed ½ the arena's space. "I made for you…EDWARD!"

"MUD GOLEM TIME!" Ed shouted with a smile on his face. "Saru→Hitsuji→Ne! Rairenka!" Once again a mud golem rose from the ground below Ed's feet. As soon as Rosalina was standing on the head, the crystal dragon started flapping it's wings and ascended into the air.

"Inu→Tatsu→Mi→Ushi CRYSTAL STYLE: DRAGON'S BREATH!" The dragon inhaled then exhaled through his mouth causing many crystal shards to rush towards Ed and his golem battering them.

"U→Ino→Saru→Ne→Tori! EARTH STYLE: EARTH FOCUS BLAST!" The golem threw the green sphere towards the dragon who avoided it easily.

"It…looks…so BEAUTIFUL!" The commentator glared.

"NO USE EDDWARD! TAKE ANOTHER ROUND OF MY DRAGON'S BREATH!" Rosalina said as the dragon dived in and fired more crystal shards. When the dragon did come close Ed tried to damage it by throwing more Earth Focus Blasts but he was not fruitful. Ed quickly came with an idea. He rushed to the golem's hand who quickly threw him towards the dragon. "WHAT?!" The dragon was about to avoid his attack but suddenly stones ripped through his wings. No way…Stone Edge Jutsu? But how…Rosalina looked at the golem and saw the Ino hand sign on the golem (aka the last hand sign on Earth Style: Stone Edge Jutsu!" Ed channelled the last of his charka into his right fist and punched the dragon in its stomach not only causing cracks to spread across the surface but also turned crystals to turn into black rock and dissolve. Rosalina was falling to the ground.

How…was I beat? Rosalina enquired before Ed head-butted her stomach sending her down at a rapid speed. A loud thud could be heard as she landed while Ed's golem caught him safety in his hands.

"Rosalina is unable to battle. THE WINNER IS EDD." Kalaku and Kamil were disappointed while Ed was filled with jubilation.

"That was a great battle…NEXT UP EDDY…VERSUS…HITU!" The crowd roared as medical nins removed Rosalina from the stadium.
