A shadow ascended up a spiraling stone staircase silently until it reached the door to the highest room in the tallest tower. Sliding under the door, the shadow entered the room which appeared to be a luxurious bed room. Through the window the moon could be seen along with the Mors in the distance. On the bed lay a young blonde woman whom was completely motionless as if completely devoid of life. The Shadow crept up on top of the bed before morphing into the elegant form of Maleficent.
"Beastie…" The powerful fairy whispered as she gazed down upon the woman's lifeless form with unhidden sorrow. "You lay here, seemingly devoid of life and yet I still have not seen a more radiant creature." Maleficent whispered as she caressed the side of the woman face. "My sweet Aurora, if you were awake would you still love me? Or would you shrink away in terror upon realizing that I have become the monster the light had falsely branded me long ago?"

"A terrible burden I have placed upon you. To have you guard my heart until the day the war ends, to have you sleep through so much in order to keep both you and myself safe." Maleficent continued as her hand slid down to Aurora's chest causing it to begin to glow green. "Fear not, however, my love…the war is coming to an end but with its impending closure, the risk of someone finding out your true nature begins to rise. Not even I can guarantee your protection from Oberon should he turn his sights on to you. So I have no choice but to move my heart's location."

"Not all of it however." Maleficent continued her silent conversation as she slowly pulled an orb of darkness from Aurora's chest that was covered in a green flame like energy. "Just the darkness, I shall leave the light. I have found a more suited vessel for it." Maleficent said ominously before leaning forward and pressing her lips to Aurora's before standing up. "May all you know be light, my dear beastie. I pray you awake to a better world." Maleficent said quietly before disappearing in the shadows, not once seeing two trails of tears slide down Aurora's cheeks as her chest began to rise and fall. Her mouth parted slightly as her eyes cracked open.
"Maleficent…"

-Castle of Dreams: Ten Years Post Takeover-
"The last of the resistance has fallen your highness, as of this moment the war is over." The Duke told Kaine with a bow.
"Good job. Now we can put the damn war table to rest." Kaine said with a small smirk. "You've been a great help, Duke. Your loyalty is appreciated; believe me when I say you shall never want again."
"You need not reward me, my King. I was simply doing my job."
"Yes and you will be rewarded for doing it right. Do not challenge me on this." Kaine said good-naturedly as she narrowed her eyes, making him chuckle knowing that he would not be able to stop Kaine.
"I would never dream of it. So what will happen now?" The Duke questioned curiously as they walked through the halls of the castle.
"We need to party of course, the world is ours and now we can begin to have true peace here." Kaine said with a grin making him nod.
"Should I inform the Queen?"
"No this is something I will tell her personally, she'll be ecstatic." Kaine said with a smile making the Duke nod.
"Very well, then I shall be on my way. Do send her my regards for me."
"Will do." Kaine said before going off to find her wife.
-Later-
"There you are, I've been looking all over for you." Kaine said as she approached Cinderella whom was standing on the balcony and looking at the stars. "The fighting is finally over and we can finally get some rest." Kaine said as she embraced the woman from behind. "We're throwing a party to celebrate tomorrow."
"Oh? That's wondrous news, I'm so glad this strife can come to an end." Cinderella said as she looked back at Kaine with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. It was times like this that Kaine was immensely grateful for her biological situation, because she was woman enough to see that something was bothering Cinderella.
"What's wrong?" Kaine asked with a concerned frown.
"It's nothing it's just…" Cinderella began with a sigh. "Nothing will change will it? These past years with you have been the greatest in my life and I'm sure the same can be said for the years to come…but our routine just will not change will it?" Cinderella asked quietly as she turned around and placed her hand on the side of Kaine's face.
"What do you mean?" Kaine asked with a frown.
"You still have another battle to partake in do you not? Not only that but you still have to hide who and what you really are and I have to sit back and watch you live a lie. It may not bother you, but it does hurt me." Cinderella said with a humorless smile. "I used to think I could keep myself distracted by doing some tasks around the castle but no, queens aren't allowed to help or speak with the servants or the common folk. Then I thought I could at least comfort you, but you too are busy with far more important tasks. The last thing I wanted to do was take up more of your time."
"Cin…" Kaine whispered her eyes wide.
"This is a castle of dreams, every woman's fantasy…but when you are alone within it those dreams turn to nightmares more often than not. But, it matters not my love. For the times I do get to have you in my arms and truly be reminded that you're mine more than make up for it. I just have to be patient, I know." Cinderella said giving Kaine a quick kiss on the side of her mouth. "So please forgive these ramblings in this one moment of weakness." Cinderella said as she walked away and exited the room, Kaine's horrified eyes widening more when she noticed how…bland…Cinderella's magical dress appeared.
In fact it had looked like that for quite some time when she thought about it.
"Fuck! Even now, I still can only help everyone but the ones that matter." Kaine thought as she sat on the edge of her bed and placed her face in her hands. She gritted her teeth as the palms of her hands went damp when her tears when she realized how much of Cinderella's silent suffering she had missed.
Somehow…she had to make this right.
"Come on, what would you tell me to do Grandma?" Kaine wondered desperately.
-The Next Morning-
Cinderella sat up in her bed with a yawn, rubbing her eyes she glanced to the side and was not at all perturbed to see that she was alone. She had grown used to that over the years. After getting up she walked to her and Kaine's shared wardrobe. Opening it, she frowned when she saw that her dress was missing but figured one of the servants must have went to wash it.
"Ah, well no matter. It's not good for a Queen to wear the same thing two days in a row, even if it does change appearance." Cinderella mused as she grabbed a blue dress to slip into instead. "Time to start another day." Cinderella thought with a sigh before placing as smile on her face so that she wouldn't worry the servants. When she exited the room she blinked in confusion when she saw a lot of the servants leaving, all dressed in normal attire instead of their uniforms. "What in the world?"
"Ah, your highness!" The Grand Duke said as he noticed her with a smile.
"Duke, what is going on?" Cinderella asked making him give her a joyful smile.
"A new holiday in honor of the war's end that his highness instated today. Everyone gets the weekend off so I am afraid you two will be on your own until Monday." The Duke explained making her look at him in surprise. "The King requested your presence in the ballroom by the way; I implore you to not keep him waiting. Now I must leave and spend time with my family, until next week." The Duke said before giving her a respectful bow and leaving.
"What are you up to, Kaine?" Cinderella thought with a small frown before leaving to the ballroom.
-Ballroom-
Upon entering the large room, Cinderella looked around to find it completely empty. However, on the large table she noticed a bundle of cloth. As Cinderella approached, she felt her heart clench at the sight of the table.
"I always hated this damnable thing." Cinderella thought as she rubbed her hand against the wood. The table nearly stretched across the room and Cinderella had only ever seen it in two states. One, when it was filled causing her and Kaine found themselves at opposite ends of it, leaving her with no one to talk to. The second state was when it was completely empty, leaving her alone in a room that suddenly felt too large for her. Cinderella tilted her head when she saw a note on a bundle of clothing resting on the table.
[Cin,
Put these on and wait for me. I'll see you in a bit.
-Kaine]
"She's definitely up to something." Cinderella thought before glancing at the clothing with slightly narrowed eyes. Still, shrugging, Cinderella placed the note down and switched clothes swiftly. To her surprise she found herself wearing something that resembled the quality of clothing her step-mother used to make her wear. It was a pair of form fitting brown leather pants with a pair of matching brown boots. She also had a white button up shirt that was tucked into her pants. She decided to keep the top few buttons unbuttoned. "I look like one of the farm hands." Cinderella mused as she put her hair into a quick pony-tail before sitting down in one of the chairs and waited for Kaine. "If the servants could see me now, they'd have a fit."
-30 minutes: Later-
Now…now…Cinderella was getting annoyed.
"Don't tell me she forgot her own plans again or got side-tracked with work." Cinderella thought as she released a frustrated sigh and rubbed the bridge of her nose.
"Oh…thank God you're still here, thought you may have left by now." Kaine's voice echoed throughout the room making Cinderella shake her head before turning to face Kaine so she could hear her half-assed excuse. However, before she could begin to form a sarcastic response, it died on her lips as her gaze landed on Kaine whom was standing at the top of the stairs.
"Wow…" Cinderella thought in disbelief as she stared at Kaine whose pale cheeks were blushing profusely as she averted her eyes and bit her now ruby lip. Kaine was currently wearing a beautiful white gown that actually surpassed the one Cinderella wore on her best day with sheer beauty. The glass heels on Kaine's feet glittered like diamonds and her silky ashen hair was let down.
"Ten years of marriage and I finally managed to take your breath away for once." Kaine said with a gentle smile. "Better late than never, I guess." Kaine said as she descended the stairs. Once she made it to the stunned Cinderella, she gave her a once over and chuckled. "Even in rags, you're stunning. Told you that you didn't really need this dress." Kaine said quietly.
"Amazing, I've never seen this dress look so radiant." Cinderella said breathlessly as she gently grasped the side of Kaine's face whom looked away shyly, not used to this kind of attention.
"Stop it..." Kaine said with a small laugh as she brushed some of her behind her ear. "I didn't even know I could be embarrassed." Kaine said as her dress seemed to glimmer even more. "Wow, I had this dress figured out all wrong."
"What do you mean?" Cinderella questioned in confusion.
"It's not as beautiful as I feel; rather, it's as beautiful as you make me feel." Kaine explained as her face reddened even more before placing her head on Cinderella's shoulder in an attempt to hide her face. "Damn you for ruining my image." Kaine whispered before looking back up at Cinderella whom had gently embraced her. "I tried really hard to be a badass, you know?" Kaine said with a mock glare.

"I never thought I would see you in a dress." Cinderella said as a small genuine smile graced her lips as she looked at her wife as if it were the first time.
"You should have seen what I used to wear into battle before I met you." Kaine said with a wink.
"What? Oh you simply must tell me that story." Cinderella said with a laugh.
"Maybe later." Kaine said as she laced her fingers with Cinderella's. "But for now, how about you take the lead, whatever you want to do we'll do it. Think of this as not only an apology for being a dumbass but your anniversary gift." Kaine said making Cinderella's eyes widen before they quickly began to glisten.
"You…you remembered." Cinderella whispered quietly before Kaine gave her a deep kiss.
"The best day of my life is hard to forget, I always remember and it kills me every time I fail you on this day." Kaine said quietly. "But never again." Kaine said before gasping when Cinderella picked her up and spun her around with the world's biggest grin.
Her wife was a bit stronger than she thought.
"Come on! There is oh so much I want to experience with you!" Cinderella said with a radiant smile as she grabbed Kaine's hand and began to run out of the room, dragging her wife with her. Kaine followed her suddenly energetic lover with wide eyes, not at all being used to being pulled around. Still, a grin slowly split her face as she effortlessly matched Cinderella's pace causing the two to laugh as they ran throughout the castle, laughing as they did so without a care in the world.
*Flash*
"When did you get so good at this!?" Kaine asked incredulously as she sat behind Cinderella on a horse that was running at break neck speeds across their back yard.
"I had a lot of free time!" Cinderella called back before giggling as she felt Kaine's grip on her tighten. "Come on, you've sure faced worse than this!"
"Yes, but I was normally in control! Excuse me for not putting my trust in some animal I don't even know!" Kaine defended her irrational fear of riding the horse.
"Do you trust me?" Cinderella asked making Kaine shut her eyes and rest her head on Cinderella's back.
"You know I do."
"Then don't worry!" Cinderella said with a smile as the horse made a rather large jump over the fence and out of the castle's property.
"Where are we going!?"
"There's someone I want you to meet."
*Flash*
"Here, it is a bit overdue." Cinderella said as she led Kaine towards a large willow tree. Kaine's breath caught in her throat when she realized that Cinderella was bringing her to a grave. "Mother, it's been quite a while, I know. I hope you can forgive me, but I've brought someone I would like for you to meet." Cinderella said as she and Kaine came to a stop. "Sorry, I know this might seem a bit silly-"
"No, stop. Never apologize for something like this." Kaine said firmly before kneeling before the grave a placing a smile on her face. "I'm sorry I never got to meet you in person, but believe me your daughter is in good hands…" Kaine began as a smile came to Cinderella's face as she heard Kaine speak to the grave.
*Flash*
"I can't believe you're actually doing this for me." Cinderella said in slight awe as she walked through the town hand in hand with Kaine. The couple was getting more than a few surprised and inquisitive looks from the citizens whom were enjoying their newfound holiday.
"Hiding in plain sight, to them this sight is far too bizarre for them to actually think I'm their King or you their Queen." Kaine said with a shrug. "Bet I could even say my name and they'd probably assume I'm just a person with the same name. Just let me know if I do something wrong, 'dates' aren't common where I'm from."
"Well, I didn't have much experience either with such things considering who my 'family' was." Cinderella said as she rubbed the back of Kaine's hand with her thumb. "Let's just do what feels right."
"And if I were to say taking you right here and now felt 'right?'" Kaine questioned with a smirk making Cinderella giggle as her cheeks reddened slightly.
"I'd say that you'd be the one cleaning my dress. I am fond of it, you know, getting it dirty is not an outcome I want from today." Cinderella explained making Kaine laugh.
"Yeah, I get it. Heck, this thing is pretty comfortable; I can see why you love it so much." Kaine said making Cinderella stop before turn to face Kaine.
"Comfortable? No, it could feel like broken glass and I would still love it most." Cinderella said confusing Kaine. "I wore this dress when I first met you, it was there on our wedding day…"Cinderella trailed off as an impish smile graced her lips. "…and night. Every milestone it was present and that's why I love it so. It is our love given physical form. Every time I see it, I think of you and that's just perfect for a day I might be a little downtrodden."
"…you know dressing up might have been the greatest idea for today in hindsight." Kaine whispered suddenly making Cinderella frown.
"Oh why is that?"
"Because now no one can recognize me when you make me cry like a bitch." Kaine said with a shuddering breath as her eyes watered a bit. Cinderella, whom had never seen Kaine overcome with an emotion that wasn't rage, simply wiped her tears away before claiming Kaine's lips for her own. The citizens whom were looking on clapped whole-heartedly. They couldn't hear what was said, but the intensity of the conversation could not be mistaken.
*Flash*
"Don't laugh." Kaine said with a scowl as Cinderella did her best not to break down into a fit of giggles as they stood in the castle's kitchens.
"How…how can someone as deadly proficient in swordplay as you be so…so…terrible with a knife?" Cinderella asked making Kaine give her a mock glare.
"Laugh it up, let's see you do better!"
"Gladly." Cinderella said with a twinkle in her eye.
*Flash*
"Why the hell haven't you been cooking before?" Kaine questioned with an accusing tone as they walked towards the large table.
"Servants would throw a fit if I did; besides I don't want to get in the way."
"Fuck that, this is your house, you can get in the way if you want to." Kaine said bluntly. "You gotta be assertive sometimes, Cin. You can't be patient with everything, still don't know why you stuck around this long."
"I saw something worth staying for in you, that maybe there was something to salvage from our marriage." Cinderella said as she sat down at her end of the table and began to eat her food only to look up in surprise when Kaine sat in the chair just to the right of her instead of the one opposite of her.
"I hope you still see it." Kaine said quietly as Cinderella stared into her eyes.
"In fact, I see it more clearly now than ever." Cinderella said making Kaine give her a relieved smile which she returned. "Come on; let's eat before our food gets cold." Cinderella said and the two quickly began an evening of deep conversation and delicious cuisine as they enjoyed each other's company. The times that were not filled with conversation were filled with a comforting silence as the two just basked in each other's company. "So what now?" Cinderella questioned once they finished eating.
"You know…" Kaine began as she smiled and grabbed Cinderella's hand. "It's been damn near a decade, but I think I still owe you a dance."

"Oh? You?" Cinderella asked good-naturedly. "You're kidding, correct?"
"Nope." Kaine said with a smile surprising Cinderella as they began to move around the ballroom.
"You're serious…" Cinderella said breathlessly. "But there's no music."
"Details, details, just talk to me. That's music to my ears anyway."
"That was cheesy even for me."
"You loved it." Kaine teased making Cinderella smile as they began to pick up the tempo.
"Tell me, when this holiday is over will everything return to the way it used to be?" Cinderella asked almost scared to hear the answer.
"Hell no. I won't let you suffer in silence ever again, I will never hurt you like that again, but you have to work with me Cin. I didn't do it intentionally, I need you to speak with me, don't just be patient. A little impatience works wonders, trust me." Kaine added with a smirk. "Grandma always said that I needed a smack upside the head from time to time. I'm not like your step family, I won't hurt you for speaking up." Kaine said before surprising Cinderella as she shifted the lead to her, causing the blonde to be the one leading the dance.
"Kaine?" Cinderella asked in surprise as she spun her wife whom grinned at her.
"This is your home, not a prison." Kaine said firmly. "You've seen me at my worst recently and brought me out of it, I need you just as much as you need me."
*Flashback 2 months ago*
"Grand Duke! What's going on?" Cinderella asked in alarm as she saw the Duke rushing back to the castle after a pillar of darkness erupted in the distance causing her chest to burn.
"It's the king! He was wounded by a surprise attack in battle and suddenly snapped! He was like some sort of demon! He told us to run before losing himself in battle." The Duke said making Cinderella gasp before suddenly pushing the older man off of his horse. "Your highness!?"
"I'm sorry! I will be right back!" Cinderella said before rushing off to the pillar leaving a horrified Duke behind her.
-Later With Kaine-
Kaine's eyes were bright gold as her body was covered in a dark aura while countless bodies littered the forest floor around her. She released a bestial roar that made the ground tremble with her might. Though the monster within her was under control, this bloodlust was completely hers.
"Kaine!" Cinderella shouted as she entered the area making Kaine's head whip towards her as she hopped off of the horse. "You need to calm down-"Cinderella couldn't finish before she was suddenly slammed down on her back with the demonic Kaine straddling her, both of her blades buried into the ground on both sides of Cinderella's head. Darkness poured from Kaine's chest as light shone from Cinderella's. The two hearts pulsed as their energies mixed with one another forging a pull between their vessels that trumped even the most powerful of magnets. "Calm down my love."
"Grrr…n-need…l-light..." Kaine growled out even as the darkness began to recede slightly as Cinderella cupped her face with an approving smile.
"That's it, calm down, stay with me. You can fight it." Cinderella said before gasping as Kaine suddenly grabbed her tightly around her hips as she leaned forward and claimed Cinderella's lips for her own. What followed was the most intimate banishing of darkness that had ever been seen.
*Flashback: End*
Both women blushed a bit at the memory.
"I…I didn't hurt you then did I?" Kaine asked awkwardly making Cinderella shake her head.
"I'll admit I was a bit…sore…for a few days. It was worth it, however, to once more hold you in my arms." Cinderella said making Kaine shake her head.
"You know…you're proof that good things happen to bad people." Kaine deadpanned making Cinderella giggle.
"If it means I get to be with you, then that is something I am glad to prove."

"I think it's time we finish this night." Kaine said with a smirk making Cinderella look at her curiously. "You wanted to see my old armor right?"
"…Sure?" Cinderella asked not understanding how that would be a good ending to this wonderful day.
*Flash*
Oh.
Now she got it.
Cinderella was positive her jaws going to fall off when she saw Kaine enter their shared room with her…armor. It was quite possibly the skimpiest lace night gown she had ever seen that left nothing to the imagination, hell she could even see Kaine's-
"My God." Cinderella whispered in morbid fascination as her face burned brightly.
"Surprised it still fits to be honest, looks like you and I know how to age." Kaine said before laughing at her wife's expression.
"Love…two things…" Cinderella began quietly making Kaine tilt her head.
"Yes?"
"One…you must wear that when we're alone more often…" Cinderella began before frowning. "And two when you rejoin your other allies for your next war…you are not wearing that."
"Oh?" Kaine asked sounding amused by the uncharacteristically stern tone of Cinderella's voice. "Why is that?"
"Well it doesn't offer much protection, but more importantly I'll be damned if my wife is parading around with her…assets…hanging out for everyone to see." Cinderella said firmly. "My eyes only. That's what the damn ring means." Cinderella said, raising her hand and showing her ring for emphasis.
"Ha! To think this is what it took for you to sound demanding, I'll admit being a bit forceful looks good on you." Kaine said with a smirk before winking at Cinderella. "Fine, I'll wear something else. I'll even let you design it." Kaine said as she climbed on their bed and straddled Cinderella's waist. "But for now…"

"How about we have some fun? If there is one thing we do excel at in our relationship, it's knowing just what makes each other's body tick." Kaine said as lust filled her eyes, which was matched by Cinderella's. Before Kaine could make her move however…
BGM: Interrupted!
...Cinderella's face turned green.
*Flash*
*Bleghhh*
"This better not be because of me." Kaine said sounding a bit annoyed as she held Cinderella's hair as she vomited into a toilet. "If it is, I'm leaving you."
"N-no…it's been happening a lot lately…" Cinderella said weakly as she wiped her mouth and turned to Kaine whom was looking at her in concern. "Sorry for ruining the night." Cinderella said tiredly.
"Don't be. Technically it hit twelve before you went green, so the day ended great. Did you go to a medic? This could be serious." Kaine said with a frown. "Has anything else been happening?"
"Not much I have been having a few weird cravings, I get tired a bit more easily, oh and my chest is a bit sore." Cinderella explained making Kaine quirk an eyebrow as her symptoms sounded a bit similar to something her grandmother had warned her about…
Suddenly Kaine paled.
"No way…impossible." Kaine whispered with wide-eyes. She knew she wasn't the best of spouses in the past but even then Cinderella wouldn't cheat on her, so that only left one explanation…"Holy shit. When did this start?"
"Uh… Two months ago?"
"And the last time you had your period?"
"Same time." Cinderella said with a frown as Kaine suddenly found herself having to take a seat on the floor, no longer trusting her legs. "Love? What's wrong!?"
"You're fucking pregnant." Kaine said in disbelief making Cinderella pale. Due to not having much mentoring in such subjects like personal health in her youth, Cinderella was not aware of the signs when they had presented themselves.
"But I thought your… I thought it wasn't able to get me pregnant!"
"I thought it wasn't able to too! I guessed though, I didn't really have much experience with it before you if you didn't guess!" Kaine said incredulously. "Holy shit, I've been dodging bullets for ten straight years! I'm going to be a mo-er-fa-um…I'm going to be a parent." Kaine said as she looked at Cinderella with wide eyes. "We're going to be parents…"
"Are…are you mad?" Cinderella asked carefully making Kaine shake her head, her expression still one of shock.
"No, timing sucks, but I'm happy as fuck. Just stuck between wanting to faint, cry, or shout in joy." Kaine said breathlessly. "Just…just get over here." Kaine said before pulling Cinderella over to her and wrapping an arm around her side while the blonde rested her head on Kaine's shoulder. "I just hope the brat's as patient with me as you are."

Alone, trapped in a dungeon cell was a young woman with hair as black as the night sky, skin as pale as snow, and lips as red as blood. Her brown eyes widened in fear when a blonde man approached her cell and looked down at her with a smirk.
"Ah, and another day passes my sweet princess." The man said with a chuckle that made her skin crawl. "One day closer till the date of which you shall come of age, and then…I'll introduce you to a far more glamorous lifestyle." The man said making her shudder. He went to unlock the cell but before he could, a bird's cry alerted him to the presence of a raven standing on the window looking at him with a piercing gaze that seemed to burn right into his very soul. "Ah…it seems I will once again have to wait before I can…test….the waters….see you soon my sweet princess." The man said before walking away.
"Who are you?" Snow White whispered as she turned to the bird that had saved her from the vile man countless times. The Raven just released another cry before taking to the skies.
-Throne Room-
Queen Ravenna sat on her throne with a scowl when a raven flew into the room and landed on her shoulder before melding in to her skin.
"And once again, you play the unknown heroine for the lass." A voice said making her glance to the side of the room to find a man garbed in black smirking at her. He had pale skin, black eyes, and his black hair was combed back.
"Uncle Diablo, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" Ravenna questioned with a small smile as she ignored his question completely.
"Diaval, in this form little bird. Helps keep the light guessing." Diaval said with a wink making her chuckle. "As for why I am here? Can't a man wish to see his beloved niece from time to time?"
"But of course, but it is never that simple with you." Ravenna said simply.
"True, well there is much I do need to inform you of. A second War has begun between the light and the darkness." Diaval said making the Queen pale a bit. "Do not fear, the Fae have not entered the conflict yet but it is only a matter of time. I came to warn you and your little sister up in the north."
"I see…but how is this possible? Who is willingly going to attempt to challenge the light on such a scale again after my…father's…defeat?" Ravenna questioned with a frown. Truth be told neither she nor her siblings had met whomever sired them. In fact, her half-sister had not even met her mother either. According to Diaval, whom had raised them, they had disappeared in the war with the exception of Ravenna's mother whom was executed a few years later.
"Your father has had what we could call a second wind." Diaval said making Ravenna's eyes widen a bit. "Not only that, but your mother has been resurrected as well while many of the light's members whom have played a role in their defeat have perished. Soon, you and your sister will play a major role in the upcoming conflict and I just wished to make sure you are informed."
"And what about my brother?"
"What about him?" Diaval asked with a sneer. "I would have killed him myself by now if it weren't for you. The boy is weak, mind, body, and soul."
"Yes but he is still my brother." Ravenna said with a frown making the man shrug.
"He will be his own undoing soon enough." Diaval said simply. "Now I should warn you, I did not come to give you this information so that you would join this war on our side. No matter how powerful you and your sister are, the last thing I wish is for you to be a part of this conflict."
"Then why the visit?"
"Because there is no doubt you two…or at least you for certain, will be on the opposing army." Diaval said making her look at him incredulously. "Your father, your mother, and I, you girls will face us down one day. Just be aware that win or lose, there shall be no hard feelings." Diaval said as he turned his back towards her and approached a window. "A family's love is far more powerful than something as feeble as war." Diaval said before turning into a raven and flying off into the sky leaving a frowning Queen with much to think about.
[Industria-Dilligence]
-Flashback-
Glaring at Ariel with pure hatred, Ursula charge her unprotected back making Ariel frown as she saw Ursula's reflection in the water before spinning the trident in her hand and stabbing it backwards.
*CRUNCH*
Ursula coughed up blood as the glowing trident speared her through her chest while Ariel placed a second hand on the weapon making it glow brighter and brighter.
"I'll stand here existing and feeling wretched existence
Consuming life-force till I grow distant
Don't bother searching for somebody like me. A fading no one.
This lonely space, held into place by someone crazy
Shall melt away like dawn today as things get hazy

Sora and his friends were gaping at the fight while glowing tears slid down Ariel's face.
"As who I really should be

*BOOOOOOOOM!*
Ursula screamed as a powerful beam of light ripped through her body and entered the sky causing the clouds to disperse and end the storm, bathing them all in the resulting moonlight.
"With changing inside I'm completely paralyzed
Remaining corrupt as I wish for paradise
Remember the 'me', the way I used to be."
Ariel sang as she approached Sora and the others, her size decreasing as she reach the shore until she was her original height.
"Oh, won't you tell? Oh, please just tell…
Well now who could it be, that lives inside of me?"

"I still can't get over how much power was released from her heart." Yuffie said as she shook her head while Sora flew the ship through the vast void in space. They had been flying for a while now after entering the new door and still seemed no closer to finding any signs of intelligent life.
"Indeed, hearts of light usually keep their power dormant or its supplemental when used actively. However, in times of emergency one can use the power offensively. One would be wise not to mistake the kindness of the princesses of heart for weakness." Donald said sagely as Sora continued to fly the ship, seemingly lost in thought after hearing Donald's words.
[Temperantia-Temperance]
-Flashback: Final Battle, previous time line-
Sora glared up at Xehanort as his exhausted body refused to move even as Kairi fell to her knees in front of him, using her keyblade to keep herself up. Her hands trembled slightly before she simply collapsed to her side as Xehanort stepped towards them with his hands behind his back.
"You thought a weakling like you could stand against me? Pathetic." Xehanort said with a scoff as she shut her eyes. "No wonder young Sora found comfort in the arms of another."
"K-Kairi…r-run…" Sora gasped out, blood spilling from his mouth as he began to succumb to his injuries. "Please…get out…" Sora begged as tears fell from his eyes while he struggled to stay conscious. Sora glared fiercely as the young form of Xehanort stood above him with a cocky smirk.
"It was amusing, boy. You have provided me with quite the challenge, but now it ends." Xehanort said as a cocky smirk graced his lips while he raised his weapon high. Sora gritted his teeth in anger as Xehanort brought the weapon down upon his.
*SCHLICK*
Sora's eyes widened in horror as blood splattered on his face.
"No…not him…" Kairi whispered as she knelt before Sora, Xehanort's keyblade stabbing through her shoulder.
"Kairi!"
"I…won't let you…" Kairi whispered through gritted teeth as her hand reached up to grab Xehanort's blade.
-Dive to the Heart-
"You realize that if we do this, we will die." Naminé said seriously as she stood on a stain glass platform that showed her's and Kairi's faces turned towards each other with their eyes closed and their foreheads resting on each other's. "We stumbled upon this power by accident during training…if we release it…we will die, we can't contain it."
"I don't care. A world without Sora is not worth living in…and if I am to die anyway then I will wipe that smile from his face." Kairi said firmly making Naminé nod.
"Then so be it." Naminé whispered with a sad smile. Kairi gasped after Naminé turned into a ball of light and slammed into her chest.
-With Kairi and Sora-
"…take him away from me!" Kairi boomed as her eyes flashed bright blue.
*CRASH!*
Kairi: Final Form: Activated
Kairi's body exploded with light, shattering Xehanort's Keyblade and sending him rag-dolling backwards. Xehanort's righted himself in mid-air before landing in a crouch as he glared back up at Kairi only for his eyes to widen slightly in confusion.
Kairi now stood barefoot in a white dress as her hair turned blonde while her cold blue eyes gazed at Xehanort.
"What are you?" Xehanort asked with a frown.
"The vanguard of your salvation, the guardian of Kingdom Heart's gate, and its Queen." Kairi listed off as knowledge and power began to fill her very being. "The real question is, however, are you ready?" Kairi questioned as she raised her keyblade above her head.
"Ready for what?" Xehanort questioned.
"To go to war of course." Kairi said with a giggle as a gold crown appeared beneath her feet. Her body was suddenly engulfed in a pillar of light that ascended high into the sky. Her sheer pressure nearly sent Xehanort to his knees as the light exploded in the sky, summoning what appeared to be a large blue heart. "I will stop him from claiming Kingdom Hearts, Sora." Kairi whispered as she turned to Sora with a bright smile as a tear slid down her cheek. "Even if my heart shatters in the process, this is my oath to you." Kairi said as her keyblade suddenly transformed into Oathkeeper.
"K-Kairi…w-what are you?" Sora whispered in awe as she let go of the keyblade only for it to continue levitating behind her. Slowly it began to rotate in a clockwise motion, creating ethereal copies of it in the process-all of which continued to float behind her.
"I will save you my King." Kairi whispered confusing Sora greatly, but it no longer mattered as he had taken far too much damage. Still as his vision darkened, he felt an inexplicable surge of hope shoot through his body before his eyes shut one last time.
"Win…Kairi…" Sora said quietly as he finally succumbed to his mortal wounds, dying there on the roof of Disney Castle surrounded by the bodies of friends and enemies alike in a pool of his own blood.
BGM: Uncontrollable- Xenoblade Cornicles OST
"Are you ready?" Kairi asked coldly as she began to walk to the side. Xehanort looked at her for a moment before smirking as he folded his hands behind his back, dozens of keyblades floating around him.
"Fine, you've peaked my interest. And with the boy gone, that leaves you as the final obstacle." Xehanort declared as he and Kairi circled each other. Suddenly, as if by some unheard signal, Kairi charged forward with her hands outstretched.
D-Link: Sora: Activated!
In her right hand the Kingdom Key appeared as Riku's appeared in her left, she grasped them tightly as she wielded them both with Sora's Synch-Blade ability. Suddenly, the Kingdom key flashed with light and transformed into a white star themed keyblade.
(LIAG Fun Fact: The new Keyblade Sora uses in the KH3 trailers, I really need to get a name for it.)
Xehanort's keyblades and Kairi's ethereal ones clashed around them as Xehanort was forced to parry her strikes with his personal one. Kairi flipped over him, slashing at him the entire time barely giving him enough time to stop her surprisingly powerful onslaught.
"You think you can protect Kingdom Hearts from me?" Xehanort asked curious as two of his keyblades suddenly flew down to stab Kairi in her back.
[Reaction]: Remix
Suddenly Kairi was replaced with an ethereal clone of herself which took the attack and shattered like glass.
"What!?" Xehanort asked incredulously as he looked around for her, glancing up he cursed as he saw her descend upon him with both Keyblades raised high.
[Reaction]: Grand Finale!
Xehanort felt the keyblade graze his cheek as he barely had enough time to avoid the attack.
*BOOOOOM!*
A beam of pure light extended hundreds of feet into the air from the point of impact. The resulting shockwave sent Xehanort blasting back across the courtyard of Disney Castle.
"Fool, my job isn't to protect Kingdom Hearts from you. It's to protect you and everyone else from Kingdom Hearts!" Kairi said as she floated up above him and gazed down imperiously as her ethereal weapons floated around her. "The gate has been shut for too long; so much power has built up. The sheer release of power from bringing Kingdom Hearts down into the mortal realm will kill everything. You won't claim a throne. You'll just die first in the explosion!"
"You lie!" Xehanort shouted angrily. "All of my years of research, how could you possibly know something that I don't!?"
"Personal experience." Kairi said solemnly as thousands of ethereal keyblades filled the sky as what appeared to be a transparent throne appeared behind her. "Take it from someone whom has sat on that Ivory throne. My memories have returned, we've done this countless times and it ends the same way. My death and your failure to claim Kingdom Hearts. Give up." Kairi said as she released the Keyblades she was holding, causing them to float up into the air as she sat down on the throne. Her eyes shone with the same bright blue intensity as Kingdom Hearts which could be seen in the sky behind her. "Let's get this over with." Kairi said boredly as if watching a show she had seen the ending to hundreds of times.
[Reaction]: Queen of Light's Reign
The ethereal keyblades all ignited in a golden flame like energy before raining down upon Xehanort who casted his strongest barrier as he summoned as many keyblades as he could to fend off the attack. A large crater appeared beneath him due to the relentless onslaught. A bead of sweat slid down his face as he realized Kairi's keyblades simply kept appearing out of nowhere. In fact, they seemed to be increasing in volume.
"I have dominion over memories. You've seen my keyblade, and thus I can make countless from that one memory. Now try to factor in the sheer amount of my keyblades you've looked at now?" Kairi said nonchalantly as she inspected her nails.
"That's…that's not fair! Why are you allowed to wield such power!?" Xehanort shouted angrily as if personally affronted by the power she was allowed to wield. His surge in anger caused his barrier to explode with enough force to push back some of the keyblades and give him a way to slip out of the barrage. Acting quickly, Xehanort blasted forward and flew into the air towards Kairi with a glare as he prepared to pierce her through the chest.
[Reaction]: Remix
Suddenly Xehanort seemed to have switched places with Kairi, catching him completely off guard as Sora and Riku's Keyblades floated in to the air.
"You will submit." Kairi said with her back towards him as she landed onto the courtyard as ethereal copies of Sora and Riku, constructs from her memories, appeared and grabbed their respective keyblades before throwing them at Xehanort.
[Reaction]: All's End
Xehanort quickly put up a barrier as the barrage of light and darkness slammed into him from the keyblades as the images of Sora and Riku shattered. With a roar, Xehanort extended his hands and blew back the two weapons, taking a good portion of the castle with him. For the first time in years, Xehanort felt himself panting in exhaustion as he glared up at Kairi whose back was turned to him.

[Reaction:]: Shared Sky
Before he could think of attacking, their surroundings suddenly shattered like glass as he found himself with Kairi on the shores of Destiny Islands.
"W-what…h-how?" Xehanort questioned in confusion as he felt the sand beneath his feet. This wasn't an illusion, they were actually in an entirely different world.
"I love the sand beneath my toes, don't you?" Kairi asked curiously as she turned to face him with a smile as a large wave could be seen approaching from the distance.
"You witch…what did you just do, I've never seen world traveling done like this." Xehanort asked with a frown.
"You really don't understand how the multiverse works, do you?" Kairi asked as she tilted her head with a sad expression before they were both engulfed by the large wave. Xehanort struggled to hold his breath as the water swirled around him. After a few tortuously slow moments the water vanished sending him falling down onto a hard platform. Looking up tiredly, his confusion only grew as he found himself in the Dive to the Heart.
"There is no such thing as world traveling or the multiverse…at least not how you picture it." Xehanort stumbled back as the platform transformed into a large hand. Glancing back, he paled when he saw a colossal Kairi staring down at him.
"What do you mean, of course there is! We were just in another world moments ago!" Xehanort snapped.
"It would appear that way to a lower being such as yourself, but then again you can only perceive three dimensions, not three thousand." Kairi mused. "You probably think of the multiverse as a collection of worlds, scattered across dimensions. However, there is only one grand world with an infinite number of planes of existence. It's why we say all worlds share a sky."
*CRASH!*
Xehanort now stood in a plain white room as Kairi sat before him on a throne.
"And Kingdom Hearts…is that sky." Kairi said simply. "An infinite entity untouched by the world and its flaws or the ravages of time."
"I don't know what sorcery you pulled out of your sleeve, but stop speaking nonsense. I've seen other worlds, the physical worlds before entering them after leaving a previous one!"
"Those are entry points to different planes, not worlds. They only even take the appearance they do because that's your minds way of trying to comprehend what it sees. Humans discovered multiversal travel far before they were ready. Those "worlds" actually look more like tears in space, not actual planets or whatever it is you see." Kairi said with a scoff.
"And you think I am supposed to believe such nonsense? I, a Keyblade Master, should listen to the insane ramblings of a little girl?" Xehanort asked angrily.
"Would you like proof?" Kairi asked boredly before the ground shattered beneath Xehanort's feet sending him free falling down through a vast emptiness. He was going to attempt to fly back up but found himself frozen by the sight of him passing through countless worlds. The scenery around him changed continuously but there was only one constant, Kairi looking down upon him as Kingdom hearts floated behind her. "Many worlds, one sky."
Xehanort grunted when he felt his body slam into the sandy shores of Destiny Islands.
"Do you get it yet? Or do you need to relive the countless times we've had this conversation?" Kairi, whom was sitting next to his body asked curiously. Kairi tapped the Keyblade Master on his forehead, instantly sending him into a full blown seizure as countless memories of past time-lines entered his head. "That's enough." Kairi said suddenly making the memories stop.
BGM: END
"Gah!" Xehanort grunted as he held his head with wide-fearful eyes. He wasn't sure what scared him most, the amount of memories that had ripped through his mind or the fact he couldn't recall a single one of them…he just somehow knew had seen them but couldn't remember what they were. "W-what are you?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Kairi said honestly. Xehanort, however, was not content with just that. He was no fool, the sheer difference in power between him and this…this…entity….was far too much. She toyed with him since the battle started, looking down upon him as if he were just a speck of dust and perhaps to her that's all he was. Her strength had ascended far surpass those who were considered gods.
"Why haven't you killed me?" Xehanort asked after a few moments, too exhausted to even attempt to attack her anymore. He knew it was futile, a power like her's could never hope to be beaten. Kairi sighed sadly as their surroundings shattered once more, placing them back on the roof of Disney castle.
"Because I am already dead." Kairi said matter-of-factly. "I wield a mere percent of Kingdom hearts power now, if that much, and unfortunately, I was not ready. This mortal body can only last three seconds before breaking down from the might of my light."
"Preposterous it has been far longer than three seconds!" Xehanort shouted making her shake her head as she gestured to the side, Xehanort was confused until he spotted a bird…
…that was frozen mid-flight.
"No…No it has not. I face a dilemma, I could kill you with the remainder of my time then die alongside Sora and our friends…or I could syphon both your ill-gotten youth and memories of this incident and use that power to bring him back, perhaps even leave him with a bit of my heart so that I will always be with him like my darker counterpart did. I die either way, but there is at least a chance he can pull off a miracle."
"And your choice?" Xehanort asked as he tensed.
"Like always, I choose the second option. Now you may be asking yourself why I even bothered talking to you…and I guess it's because at my core I am still human, I fear death on an instinctual level. I suppose I just wanted someone to talk to before I go…even if that person is you." Kairi explained with a sad smile.
"I refuse to let you do such a thing." Xehanort said firmly making her quirk a skeptical eyebrow.
"And how, exactly, will you stop me?"
"I may not be able to beat you…but if I am dead than at least we all go down together. It's a small victory in my book. I refused to be utilized to help the foolish light win!" Xehanort said firmly as he summoned his keyblade, prepared to end his own life with one last vindictive action before he was stopped by the sound of her laughter.
"Fool, this isn't real-time. This is all just a fleeting memory." Kairi explained as she wiped a tear from her eyes. "A side-effect of me wiping your mind." Kairi explained making him pale as his surroundings began to distort.
"No…no…no!"
"Everything I said I would do has already been done. Scary isn't it? Just how powerful control over memories truly is?" Kairi asked rhetorically. "To control memories is to control a life itself."
"NOOOOO!"
*CRASH*
-Xehanort P.O.V-
A wave of discomfort passed over me as I looked down at the foolish girl in my grip. For a split second I was confused to how I got here before the memories came back to me. This girl tried to foolishly strike me down as I approached Sora and failed miserably. I frowned a bit when I noticed she was limp in my grasp.
It appears she was already dead and to top it off Sora is just now waking up to see this. Hmph, I suppose I should finish him off now, or perhaps I should toy with him a bit more before achieving absolute victory?
"What's the worst that could happen?" I mutter to myself. Glancing to the side I notice that Maleficent is still alive as well…and for some reason she has the most irritating of smirks on her face.
Oh well.
This will all be over soon.
-Xehanort P.O.V: End-
-Present-
"What happened back then?" Sora thought with a frown. "Kairi transformed when I blacked out and when I regained consciousness, she had lost but Xehanort was old again…what went on in that last battle?" Sora wondered before shaking his head as he continued to pilot the ship. "Doesn't matter, we will not reach that point again if I have anything to say about it!"
[Humilitas-Humility]
-Enchanted Dominion: Mors-
All was not well in Maleficent's domain.
In fact, all of the magic-sensitive duchesses were in a full blown panic as a foreign magical signature suddenly exploded out of nowhere on the world they inhabited. What made it worse was that it completely dwarfed anything Maleficent herself had ever shown. In fact, so strong was the magic that Nico collapsed and Cia found herself incapable of movement as she felt the danger they were in. The only magic user among them that did not seem as startled was Regina. Though equally weary of the presence, she seemed more concerned about why it was there rather than whom it was as it seemed as though she had faced it before.
With Cia and Nico out of commission and Kaine, Deadpool, Pete, Luiheid, and Maleficent all off world it only left Regina, Esdeath, and Alice to defend Maleficent's castle.
"So what's the problem? I can't feel a thing but you say there is a powerful person headed this way?" Esdeath asked with a frown as she, Regina, and Alice walked quickly through the castle.
"Indeed and we have little time to prepare." Regina said, her calm demeanor never wavering but one could faintly see the apprehension in her eyes if they looked close enough. Once they stopped before Regina's room, said woman turned to her two companions. "Luckily, I finally finished working on my mirror. With it, I should be able to deal with the threat until Maleficent returns but I need some time to get it ready."
"So we get to finally see you in action?" Esdeath asked before smirking. "Interesting, now we will see why you are second in command."
"So it would seem." Regina said as she opened the door to her room before stopping. "Listen to me you two, I would prefer that no combat arises…but if it does do not let pride get the better of you. Do not underestimate this person by their appearance. If you do…you will die." Regina said seriously before entering the room and shutting the door quickly. Alice looked appropriately concerned while Esdeath just felt her eagerness grow ten-fold.
"Now I can't wait. Come Alice, let's show our guest some hospitality." Esdeath said as she walked away with Alice trailing behind her, still looking a bit apprehensive. In Regina's room, it was completely dark-the only light at all was from the glowing platinum mirror that rested against the wall. Regina quickly disrobed as she approached the mirror, picking up a vial filled with a glowing green potion from a table as she stood mere inches from the magical artifact.
"Mirror…Mirror…" Regina began as a cold smirk graced her lips when she saw the suffering form of Merlin appear. The Evil Queen chuckled as she drank the potion before placing the palm of her hand on the mirror, causing its surface to ripple like it was a liquid pool of platinum.
-With Esdeath & Alice-
The two stepped out of Maleficent's castle and onto the top of the large stone staircase that overlooked the courtyard. It seemed completely empty but soon, the sound of a twig snapping alerted them to someone stepping out from the foliage. They both looked on slightly confused when they saw a figure wearing a brown tattered hooded cloak standing before them.
"H-hello?" The figure began shyly as they pulled off their hood to reveal a young blonde woman whom didn't look a day over eighteen, if that. Confusion swam through her clear blue eyes as she looked at them. "Is Maleficent here?"
"Uh…no…she stepped out." Esdeath said with a confused frown, for once completely and utterly lost. This was the threat? This is who had them all on guard? The poor girl looked like a startled mouse before them. She recalled Regina's warning but shook her head with a scoff, appearance was one thing but she couldn't even sense any killing intent.
"Oh…" The young woman said as she bit her lip. "Do you know when she will be back?"
"Why? Are you going to wait?" Alice asked as she quirked an eyebrow.
"I mean…why not? I'll just stand sit by the tree over there. You all can continue doing what you were doing." The woman said kindly with a bright smile making Alice and Esdeath share another confused glance.
"Well that makes things a bit complicated Ms…?" Esdeath trailed off making the woman gasp.
"Sorry forgive my rudeness, I am Aurora." Aurora introduced herself warmly.
"Well, Aurora, you put us in an awkward position. We were ordered to detain you and keep you away." Esdeath explained as crossed her arms.
"Oh? By who?" Aurora asked innocently with wide-eyes.
"The one in charge while Maleficent is away, Regina-"
DEATH
"The hell was that!?" Esdeath wondered as Alice gave her a concerned look while Aurora continued to look at them in surprise. Esdeath slowly slid her now trembling hand towards her blade as a small bead of sweat slid down her face. "Is…is this actual fear?" Esdeath wondered as she narrowed her eyes at Aurora. It had only occurred for a fraction of a second but Esdeath was positive she felt a suffocating amount of Killing intent released from the young blonde after she mentioned Regina's name.
"Is that so? Splendid news, she and I are old friends. Please allow me to speak with her so I can be on my way." Aurora said with a kind smile that was actually beginning to piss Esdeath off especially when she felt a sensation begin to fill her chest that reminded her of how she felt about Tatsumi and Sora. Glancing to the side, she frowned when she saw Alice place a hand on her chest as if she felt the same thing.
She will be loved and adored by all whom come across her…
A small voice that sounded like Maleficent, echoed throughout her head as the sensation grew.
"Sorry, no can do." Esdeath said before vanishing in a blur of speed and reappearing right before the blonde with her blade drawn.

"Eep." Aurora yelped in fear.
*FLASH*
"W-what? The sky?" Esdeath wondered perplexed as she found herself suddenly sailing through the air staring at the night sky before landing roughly on her back a few meters away. Esdeath quickly recovered and looked up at Aurora whom was also wearing an expression of surprise. "Did…did you just flip me?"
"Did I?" Aurora asked innocently, pissing Esdeath off even more. If she was to be bested in an exchange of blows, she wanted her opponent to at least acknowledge it "Can you please not do that again, I oh so hate violence."
"Not on your life girl." Esdeath muttered as her eyes flashed red briefly before she blasted off towards Aurora, her blade poised to pierce her chest.
*FLASH*
*CRUNCH*
"What just happened!?" Esdeath wondered in alarm as her arm shattered while her lower body found itself completely removed from the rest of her body. Quickly reforming her body out of ice, Esdeath caught herself as Alice sprang into action, already in her hysteria mode.
"Mother!" Alice shouted as she charged Aurora crying tears of blood. Alice began to attack Aurora savagely with her Vorpal blade as the blonde yelped and clumsily moved away from the barrage of attacks, each one missing her by a mere inch.
"Wait, I do believe I vaguely recall you the last time I was kidnapped. Alice, correct?" Aurora questioned as she leaned back just in time to avoid being stabbed in the face. She gulped at the sight of the blades edge just over her face and stumbled back until she fell on her rear. "Oof!" Aurora winced as she rubbed her rear. "I must say, I love what you've done with your hair. I believe black may be your color." Aurora said before rolling to her side with a yelp to avoid being skewered by Alice's blade.
*SCHTICK!*
Alice released a screech of rage when her blade got stuck into the ground. Aurora frowned when she saw a shadow cover her and looked up to see Esdeath descending upon her with her blade.
"MAHAPADMA!" Esdeath boomed before she froze time itself, stopping everything in its tracks. Her eyes widened, however, when Aurora suddenly shivered.
"C-cold." Aurora gasped out before sneezing.
*FLASH*
*CRASH!*
Esdeath's trump card along with her body suddenly exploded into snow dust as Aurora climbed to her feet, hugging her cloak closer to her body to keep warm.
"Please forgive me, I forgot to cover my mouth…just where are my manners today?" Aurora wondered as Alice looked up at the sudden snow fall in horror before collapsing to her knees.
*Thump*
Alice's breath hitched when she saw the frozen form of Esdeath's heart land on the ground in front of her before bouncing up into her lap.
"You…" Alice whispered, a cold fury completely engulfing her as she looked up at Aurora whom had tilted her head curiously. Twin pools of black filled Alice's eyes as blood began to cover her hands while her hair began to float. Aurora blinked when she saw their surroundings begin to distort. A thoughtful frown graced her lips as she began to see entire sections of the Mors get replaced by what appeared to be fragments of an entirely different world. "I am going to kill you and bathe in your blood with an unparalleled bliss."
"Sounds like a lovely evening, your skin could use a touch more color." Aurora mused as she saw Alice's skin go completely white. Alice said nothing as she picked up Esdeath's heart with her trembling blood soaked left hand while flipping her blade towards herself with her right.
*SCHTICK!*
Aurora blinked in surprise as she saw Alice carve a large gash in her own chest.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you….together we can defeat her mother." Alice said with an almost fond smile before shoving Esdeath's heart in her chest.

A dark pulse of energy ripped from Alice's body as she slowly lifted off of the ground as her self-made wound healed.
"I was far too weak to bring it out before, but I know that together we can pull it off mother." Alice said with a maddening smile as she held her head before glaring up at the frowning Aurora. Suddenly her black pool of a right eye shattered only to be replaced with a blazing red orb and for some reason the blonde couldn't help but imagine a demonic dragon of ice behind Alice.
[Fusion Reaction]: Winter Wonderland
"Welcome to my world!"
*FLASH!*
Aurora blinked when she found herself in what looked like a demonic version of wonderland, one thing that stuck out to her was the fact that everything was covered in ice.
"The single most powerful and sought out reality marble in existence…and you even enhanced it." Aurora muttered as some of the innocence left her eyes making them a tad bit colder. She watched in silence as Alice was suddenly grabbed and held in an overly suggested manner by a slightly older young woman whom was garbed in all red.
"To return here…you have become truly powerful my dear sister. Though next time, do try to leave out the ice…it is far too cold now." The Red Queen said with a giggle as she held Alice protectively and in a way that no sibling should ever hold another. Nibbling on her ear, The Red Queen leaned forward. "Who are we going to kill today?"
"Her." Alice said coolly making the Red Queen nod with a smile as she jumped back and vanished.
*Giggle*
Aurora ducked just in time to avoid being decapitated by a crimson claw courtesy of the Red Queen. Spinning around, Aurora narrowed her eyes as her right fist was suddenly covered with a golden fairy dust.
"Stop her." A masculine voice warned Alice whom promptly bolted forward with her Vorpal blade, forcing Aurora to dodge to the side. Suddenly on a nearby snow covered branch of a dying tree, Cheshire appeared. "She's stronger than anything you girls have faced to date. Keep up the pressure and do not let her cast a spell!"
Aurora ducked under a slash from Alice and went to toss her spell only to be captured by crimson tentacles and slung across the Wonderland. As she went flying, Aurora quickly maneuvered her body to avoid a barrage of razor sharp frozen playing cards that were thrown at her courtesy of the hysterical Alice. Landing in a crouch, Aurora hopped back to avoid a vertical slash from Alice before diving to the side to avoid a demonic tendril from the Red Queen. Frowning, Aurora ignited both of her fists with the golden fairy dust before slamming them together and rushing the sisters.
*Giggle*
A mad giggle echoed throughout the battlefield as the sisters attacked Aurora from different sides. Still, with a surprising show of hand to hand capabilities, Aurora fended off her assailants with relative ease. The magic coating her hands reinforced them to the point that she could effortlessly bat away the Red Queen's claws or Alice's blade with no problem whatsoever. Both sisters quickly hopped back suddenly before they both charged forth and in perfect synch went to pierce Aurora through her chest. Clapping her hands together, Aurora made the dust on her hands release a blinding flash of golden light which allowed her to slip under their attack before turning around to grab them by the back of their necks.
"You two need a time out." Aurora muttered before her hands once more ignited with the dust before she spun around and slung the sisters in two opposite directions across the Wonderland. Aurora didn't waste any time as she ran off towards where she had thrown Alice.
D-Link: Maleficent
A pair of white horns and matching wings ripped from Aurora's body before she flew off towards the still airborne Alice.
"Hagelsprung!" Alice shouted suddenly causing a colossal meteor of ice to form and blast towards Aurora.
"Into a bird." Aurora muttered as she released a blast of magic that transformed the attack into a small white dove which flew off harmlessly into the distance. Alice crossed her arms in front of her when Aurora flew above her and delivered a powerful haymaker which sent her blasting towards the ground. Gritting her teeth, Alice flipped and landed on the ground, creating a large crater in the process while Aurora dive bombed towards her. Both of Alice's eyes were blazing red as the world seemed to turn black and white from her perspective as she pulled out what looked like an oddly shaped cork-gun.
(LIAG Helpful Info: The Blunderbuss is possibly Alice's strongest weapon, it releases all of her pent up will into a single shot)
Time seemed to slow as Alice raised the gun to Aurora's head which was mere inches from the barrel.
"Die."

Before she could pull the trigger, Aurora batted the barrel away and grabbed Alice's face tightly with her right hand.
"No." Aurora said simply.

*CRASH!*
Alice screamed as the Wonderland shattered around her, sending them both back to the Mors. Alice's bloody tears were replaced by clear ones as her eyes turned blue while her skin gained a rosy hue. Her dress turned into a blue and white one as her black hair turned a vibrant blonde as her madness completely vanished. Aurora said nothing as she landed on her feet and gazed down warmly at Alice.
"Thank you." Alice whispered as she returned to her normal self. Suddenly Alice's eyes rolled back as she fainted from exhaustion.
"Now, Now, that just won't do." An all too familiar voice spoke up making Aurora turn to its source with an outright glare adorning her features. She tilted her head to the side just in time to avoid a platinum spear.
*SCHLICK!*
Glancing back, Aurora gritted her teeth when she saw the spear stabbing into Alice. The platinum weapon released a dark aura as it once more corrupted Alice and transformed her back into her darker self.
"We still have plans for that one."
"Regina."
The sheer amount of hate and malice that one name was spoken, from Aurora of all people, was completely and utterly mind boggling.
"And here I was foolish enough to think I had misheard…you really are alive. And with a new mirror as well, which poor soul did you get this time." Aurora said as she gazed intently at Regina whom stood at the top of the stone staircase garbed in a platinum dress form-fitting dress, complete with a matching crown. "Platinum? And I thought that gold one was bad enough, who did you kill to get something so pure, a saint?"
"Merlin." Regina said with a shrug making Aurora shake her head.
"You actually went through with it." Aurora said, her voice holding the slightest amount of morbid fascination. "I was looking for Maleficent, but you should be able to answer my most urgent of questions."
"Oh what is that?" Regina asked with a smile though it was obvious she had an idea of what it could be.
"Where is she? Where is my baby girl?" Aurora demanded making Regina smirk.
"Being protected by her dear older sister of course, if I were you though, I would drop the baby and the girl as well when referring to her. As of now she should be a grown woman." Regina said as she suddenly appeared behind Aurora with her hands folded behind her back.
"You lie."
"No. How much time do you think has passed between your…naps…? Just because you don't age does not mean it's been a mere matter of months. Decades have passed since we've fallen, though you should be happy to hear that my pet-
"-My wife." Aurora countered as she glanced back with a glare, smirking a bit when she saw Regina's shoulders tense.
"-Is no longer green." Regina continued as if she hadn't been interrupted. "If it makes you feel better, I was dead so I pretty much missed raising my child as well."
"You know what? It really does, thank you for sharing that." Aurora said with a bright smile making Regina cackle.
"You really are a vindictive little minx aren't you oh pet of my pet?" Regina questioned.
"Only around you." Aurora said with a sweet tone. "Now…bring Maleficent here or so help me God, I will bring ruin upon this entire domain."
"As much as I would love to see that, you are to be put back to sleep immediately." Regina said with a smile. "Maleficent did not account for the resulting magical shock from extracting her darkness breaking her spell."
"My power eclipses yours. Do you really think you can put me back to sleep?"
"All power, but not even a percent of the sheer skill I have. Last I checked, we were tied…care to settle this once and for all?" Regina asked making Aurora nod with a bright smile.
"But of course."
"Then let me remind you why I am the most feared dark sorceress of all time." Regina muttered before teleporting back on top of the stone stair case and raising her arms, both of which were covered with crimson runes. "Arise, guardians of this enchanted dominion." Regina began making Aurora pale.
"No, you won't go that far…even with that mirror…to have that much power now…" Aurora whispered as if physically pained as two winged skeletons climbed their way out of the ground.
"Hermia and Lysander hear my call!" Regina boomed as the two skeletons exploded in gold and green lights. When the lights died down a large muscular man wearing tattered pants could be seen standing. He had messy black hair and two pitch black horns sticking from his head. He had a pair of green slitted eyes and sticking from his back looked like a pair of black dragon wings. He had a demonic dual-bladed black spear clutched in his right hand, both blades glowing green.
In contrast to his demonic appearance, next to him was what appeared to be an angel. A shorter woman with white angel wings, no horns, and bright blue eyes wearing an elegant gown. In her hand was a golden bow.
"Let us see how the queen of the Mors fairs against its guardians."
"You're a monster." Aurora scoffed. "Yet you wonder why you'll only have her body and never her heart. Come at me then, let me show you what it's like to truly fight for someone you love."
-Meanwhile: Dive to the Heart-
"Oh my God is this where you've been!?" Deadpool shouted as he appeared behind a now startled Maleficent in a red flash.
"What? How-your belt can even get here?" Maleficent asked in slight surprise as she continued to raise her glowing hands before a large pillar of green magical energy.
"Well yea it's awesome, straight from craigslist but-wait what are you doing?" Deadpool asked with a visible frown.
"Finishing putting my darkness into a new vessel. I've decided we need to move up the time table and prepare to deal with Oberon sooner. Because of this I will need some of my power nearby." Maleficent explained before glancing back at Deadpool. "Also I've realized that there are too many factions in this war. Once I am done here…we will end the Organization."
"Wait…what!? I thought we needed them to collect the hearts for us? Unless you somehow managed to find yourself a Keyblader-"Deadpool stopped when he saw Maleficent's smirk and for once he felt an actual chill crawl down his spine. "What the hell did you do?"
"All will be revealed shortly, just know that in a few moments, things are going to be a lot easier for us." Maleficent drawled. "Now what had you so worried?"
"Yeah, your little extraction of darkness had a side-effect." Deadpool said making her turn to him suddenly, obvious concern swimming through her emerald eyes. "Guess who was magically shocked out of their beauty sleep? Don't worry though. Regina is on her way now welcoming her with open arms." Maleficent said nothing as she continued to stare at him as if she were stuck processing what she was hearing.

"Wow, you must really be caught off guard." Deadpool said with a chuckle, knowing she'd be face-palming if she wasn't occupied. "Gotta say, she wrecked Esdeath and Alice. You teach her how to fight like that?"
"For her protection, but I shielded her from ever having to use it…though Regina did get a bit carried away with her spars sometimes. Damn it all, did she kill all of the duchesses?" Maleficent asked exasperatedly. "Aurora has trouble with moderation, she always goes all out with my power."
"Esdeath…might be? Not entirely sure what happened to her. Her body was broken but Alice took her heart. Alice, by the way, held the line. Props to her if Esdeath survives we'll tell her to give the young lady an allowance or something." Deadpool said with a shrug. Maleficent was going to respond when the pillar of green magic finally died down revealing the person at the epicenter.
"Perfect timing, the transfer was a success. Told you that you were a perfect match." Maleficent said before smirking at the black hooded figure. No trace of a face could be seen from under the shadow of the hood but soon two green flaming eyes pierced through the darkness.
This power….

"As long as it does not interfere with my plans and you follow my orders. Also this is a loan, one day I will need it back." Maleficent said simply. "Even though it is in your body, if I am nearby I can control it completely."

"Holy shit, that can't be who I think it is? Can it? The voice and body structure are all wrong!" Deadpool said in alarm making the figure turn to him as they dispelled their weapon. Slowly the figure reached up and pulled off its hood, making Deadpool physically recoil before turning to Maleficent. "What the fuck did you do!?"
"Win this war…by any means necessary." Maleficent drawled. "Come we must return to the castle."

Aurora ran through the Mors dodging a barrage of magical arrows as Lysander soared above her releasing blasts of green magic from his mouth. Gritting her teeth, Aurora spun around and snatched one of Hermia's arrows from the air before tossing it to Lysander.
*BOOOM!*
The male Fae gritted his teeth as the arrow tore through his right wing like a beam of pure light sending him spiraling down towards her.
"Just who do you think you are, mortal!?" The man boomed as he transformed into a pitch black dragon.
*THOOOOOOOM*
The battleground shook as he landed before her and tossed his head back as a flaming ball of green magic formed in his mouth. With of roar that almost sounded like a scream, he released the torrent of energy at Aurora whom quickly parried it with two twin streams of golden magic from her hands.
"It's over." A heavenly voice said from above, making Aurora look up to see Hermia with her arrow pulled as far back as possible before releasing it.
*BANG!*
So powerful was the shot that it not only tore through Aurora's shoulder but slammed into the ground and exited from the opposite side of the Enchanted Dominion before continuing onward through the void of space. Aurora stumbled back and looked as though she were going to fall before righting her footing as blood slid down her arm. Dashing forward, she slammed her blood soaked fist into the dragons face, making it whip to the side due to the effects of the iron in her blood.
"Doesn't take much does it…that's the thing about fighting mortals, the longer it goes on the less effective you Fae become." Aurora panted out; inwardly glad that she had cast a numbing spell on herself.
"You…" Lysander growled out as he turned to face her only to freeze once he got a good look at her.
"Lysander!" Hermia shouted before releasing two more arrows.
*BANG!*

Aurora's eyes widened as two more arrows tore through her, but not once did she fall. Hermia released once more, intent on finishing Aurora whom glanced back at her weakly. It wasn't until that moment, that Hermia realized her mistake when she released the arrow.
*BANG!*
Aurora's shoulders sagged in relief when Lysander stepped forward and took the arrow to his shoulder. It was a testament to see just how strong his body was, when the arrow was unable to go completely through.
"Enough. She is not our enemy." Lysander said with a frown as Maleficent's curse made its effects known to him. The magic was strong and he couldn't bring himself to fight it off, especially not after recognizing where it came from.
"I know that now…I can feel it. Our baby's magic." Hermia said as she descended towards them. Regina's brands on them were quickly over powered and shattered as their will to disobey continued to rise. "Necromancy." Hermia said with a sneer.
"Indeed, a most distasteful art." Lysander muttered. "We are separated from that witch, but our ability to produce our own magic died with us. We do not have much longer. That said, we can still help you deal with her-"
"No. I refuse to bring you two into this anymore than you are. I respect the dead, but more importantly I respect the woman I love. It's why I refused to truly fight back more than I had to." Aurora said as she shook her head. "I will end this alone."
"Fine." Lysander grunted. "You better kill her girl."
"No. Nobody dies in the Mors under my reign." Aurora said once again shocking them as she limped away. She winced as she knelt down to pick up a rather large stick to help brace herself along with a smaller twig. "Besides your daughter still cares for her…that said, there are fates worse than death." Aurora said as their bodies began to break down."
"Girl…what are you?"
"Just a Queen handling her business." Aurora said as she glanced back with a kind smile.
-With Regina-
"My contracts have broken, could those two truly not be strong enough. They were limited to my magic reserves but surely that was all they needed." Regina muttered as she sat on the stone steps before looking when she saw a battered Aurora step out from the foliage, golden magic stitching up her wounds. "You made it."
"Yes, and I'm ending our little rivalry now. You refuse to answer my questions; therefore you no longer have any use to me." Aurora muttered as golden magic turned the two pieces of wood in her hands into a bow and arrow. Loading the arrow, Aurora pulled back the drawing string to the point that the stitching in her dress began to rip.
"Oh you plan to kill me?"
"Anyone else would die from this, but a monster like you? No. What I am going to do is fix your heart." Aurora said as she aimed at Regina's heart who laughed at her.
"Even knowing you are trapped in my mirror's illusion?" Regina asked with a laugh. "You're not even aiming at me."
"I know, but that's the thing about your illusions. They can't fool my eyes if they are already blinded by light." Aurora said making Regina's eyes widen in alarm as the blonde suddenly aimed straight up into the air and released the shot.
*BANG!*

The arrow shot into the air and shattered the sky like glass. Aurora smirked as a second Regina floating in the air found herself pierced through the chest as the one on the steps shattered like glass along with the rest of the scenery. Aurora frowned as she looked around to see that she was inside the castle the entire time.

Aurora glanced down to see Regina's body slam into the ground before her.
"I'll ask once more, where is Maleficent?" Aurora asked as she flipped the body over with her foot only to pale as the person revealed itself to not be Regina at all. Instead it was a woman with gray hair and tanned skin. "What-no!"
"Such a shame, then again she was far too weak to be of anymore use to us now." Regina said from behind Aurora making the blonde turn to her with a glare. Regina's face remained impassive as she looked down at the dying form of Cia.
*Flashback*
"Wait a moment Deadpool." Regina said confusing the mercenary as she handed him a black orb of pure magic. "The Vessel for the heart of lust is perfect in every way, but her control over time isn't exactly what we need for the beginning stages."
"What? So you killed her!?" Deadpool asked incredulously.
"Of course not, that much potential? I'm preserving her body now. She will be stronger than me one day. Still, I need you to return to her world and give this heart to someone else, reading over your files this…Cia…seems to be the perfect pawn. She will be able to get one of our people into the past to reclaim the Castle of Dreams."
"And what happens when she does her part?"
"She'll stick around, until I need a meat shield or something." Regina replied with a shrug. "Then the heart will return to its rightful owner."
*Flashback: End*
"You got what I promised, a chance to live freely. Do you have any regrets?" Regina asked Cia whom weakly looked up at her as tears fell from her eyes. Slowly, Cia closed her eyes as a small smile graced her lips even as her body began to fade away.
"N-No…"

The very world shook as Aurora's anger over took her, causing all of Maleficent's light to explode from her as she turned to glare at the cackling sorceress.
"Merlin truly had no idea what power he possessed. True magic, the ability to shape reality itself now wielded by far more capable hands. You can see through my illusions but when I distort space and time itself being blinded by light means nothing." Regina said with a smirk as Aurora lunged at her.
"You die today!"
*FLASH!*
Aurora blinked in confusion as her power vanished instantly sending her stumbling forward as she felt an overwhelming darkness. She almost fell on her face when someone caught her in a loving embrace.
"M-maleficent…" Aurora whispered as she looked up to see the Fae holding her. Glancing down she paled when she saw a keyhole glowing on her chest and glancing back she saw a hooded figure holding a keyblade. "Why…why do you always hurt me?" Aurora asked weakly making Maleficent gain a pained expression. "And why…why do I still keep forgiving you? Even now?" Aurora asked before the figure twisted their keyblade.
*Click*
Instantly, Aurora's body went limp as she once more found herself sealed away, not knowing if or when she would next awaken.
"Fashionably late as always." Regina muttered as a bead of sweat slid down her face. "A second later and I do believe I would have died. Now we must patch up the others, it seems we have some introductions to make." Regina drawled as she glanced back to see the new vessel of Maleficent's darkness staring at her with a blazing gaze.
Regina couldn't help the chill that rippled down her back.

A teenage dog walked into the throne room in confusion as he saw Minnie waiting on him. Instantly as soon as he approached her, he knelt down.
"Your highness, you needed me?"
"Yes, please stand Max." Minnie said with a warm smile. "Through the years I have watched you grow from a boy to a very capable young man, there were at times that I saw you as my own son and wanted nothing more than to protect you. There, however comes a time when every mother must step back and let their child take on the world however."
"Your highness?" Max asked with a confused frown.
"I have a mission for you." Minnie stated solemnly making Max look at her incredulously, after all only knights could go on missions not knights in training. "Should you complete it, you will be given the official ranking of knight."
"Y-your majesty?" Max said in surprised as Minnie reached from behind her throne and pulled out two long blades that had mouse shaped hilts.
"I believe it is time we replaced those wooden swords of yours. The blade with the crimson edge is the one your father used to fight the blot. The second blade is one I forged from the light of the cornerstone itself. Take these and complete your mission." Minnie said firmly as she handed the weapons to Max.
"And what is my mission?"
"There is a keyblade wielder whom would like some company on her journey." Minnie said before the sound of the door opening could be heard. "Max, meet Ms. Kairi. She would like some company in tracking down your father and his friends."

GrissleyMan: 1. Long time no see! Not just Regina's baby daddy either. Guess this chapter confirms that theory about the heart, it was obvious but now the question is who holds her darkness?
2. Believe me I know, but like I think I said in a PM, everyone in that world pretty much lacks real common sense. Taking over that kingdom is actually laughably easy.
3. GTFO of my head! You're right about lust and I had that in mind when I made….THAT…change in this chapter.
4. Glad you liked the Kaine/Cinderella thing, I delved a bit more into that before Kaine heads back to the main plot.
5. Currently the most powerful character in the whole story and lacks any control in bed. The fucking, Irony. Oh no, not a daughter at all. I better depiction is that Aurora and Maleficent are the healthy relationship, while Regina and Maleficent are a bit more toxic-like that drug you can't kick. As you can tell, Aurora and Regina hate each other, but care enough for Maleficent not to kill each other. (This is not a mere rivalry either, they legit want each other dead)
6. He was on the assumption that these things tend to work out in the end, honestly they were all just going with the flow which is why Yuffie called them out on it. Just because something might work out, doesn't make it right.
Nah it wasn't too bad, managed to keep up with the review. Glad you liked it and you know what? Yeah why not. Give her a catchy one-liner each time she wrecks them until they get good.
Trombonelegend: That's going off the assumption that Kingdom Hearts itself didn't make the X-blade. If anyone had claimed Kingdom Hearts before, there wouldn't be a war in the first place someone would have already won.

X-23 was on a journey to find herself, Yuffie is there for adventure. Different motives lead to different characters. Don't let occasional similarities blind you to the vast differences that are there as well.

Sora's come a long way, still got his ass beat and probably will a few more times, but still he's come far. And one day, one day, he will be a legitimate threat to Maleficent.
