Chapter 14

Hours Before:

Will is sitting next to Dani's bed while Master and Mistress are on the other side. Dani hasn't woken up yet, and the doctor is standing at the end.

"Who are the parents?" The doctor asks beyond annoyed. Will has been doing everything he can to get the doctor to release Dani to him, he even told the doctor that Dani is terrified of Master and Mistress.

"We are." Master answers glaring at Will.

"Then why the hell did you throw Dani out of the car in the middle of winter?" Will snaps, furious.

"We would do no such thing." Mistress forces herself to frown, "You kidnapped our little girl."

"I did not!" Will growls, before looking at the doctor, "Be here when Dani awakes, you will see her reaction."

"He's a busy man." Mistress smirks.

Hearing Dani moan, Will turns to her ignoring everyone in the room but his little girl. Watching her brown eyes slowly come into view, Will watches her look around. Seeing her look at Master and Mistress, Dani freezes before flinching. Ignoring the machines, Dani throws herself into Will's arms as the IV pulls at her hand.

"Don't let them take me!" Dani begs trying to make herself become invisible to the world around her. Hugging her to him, Will looks at the doctor.

"See, now you saw her reaction." Will speaks up, stroking her blonde hair soothingly.

"You are just a man who took her in. They are her birth parents. She has to go with them." The doctor sighs going through this for the fifth time.

"I won't allow it!" Will argues pissed.

"You have no rights." Master grins, "She comes home with us."

"NO!" Dani screams crying into Will's neck, "I WANT WILL!"

"Grow the hell up, Danielle." Mistress says sternly.

"Shut your mouth." Will snaps, "You lost all your rights when you abandoned her!" Will turns to the doctor, "Do everything you can because I'm not giving Dani up to the assholes."

Sighing the doctor leaves the room, to only return with security.

"Remove them." The doctor orders. The security takes the screaming Dani from Will, while the other two holds Will back.

"DANI! RUN!" Will shouts as Dani bites the security guard's hand, before running out of the room to only get grabbed by Master.

Screaming all of the way out of the hospital, Dani gets thrown into the back of the van before Master and Mistress climb in. Trying to kick the glass, Dani finds her strength isn't as strong as it was. Helpless, Dani crawls into the corner and cries.

At the hospital, Will fights the security before sprinting out of the hospital to find Master and Mistress gone. Running to the cop car, Will tells Gary everything, who grins saying he has the licence plate.

"We're going after Dani." Will sighs.

"I know, get your things and some for Dani." Gary orders.

It has been three days since Master and Mistress took Dani. Santana has been begging Rachel to tell her where Dani is, but Rachel tells her and back off. Mitchie and Taylor haven't been to school and have been crying and calling Will like crazy on Rachel's phone, looking for updates and just want the comfort from his voice.

It has been three days since Rachel has become depressed. At school, since Rachel told Santana to back off, Santana, Quinn and Brittney have been bullying her to no end along with Puck.

Getting slammed into the lockers by Puck, Rachel loses it.

"LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE! Stop insulting Dani in general you freaking coward!" Rachel snaps.

"What the hell did you call me?" Puck growls.

"A. Freaking. Coward." Just as Puck is about to punch her in the face, Finn pulls him off.

"Leave her alone." Finn steps in.

"I still can't believe you are still with her. I told you her blonde friend is a lesbian."

"You accepting Kurt and he's gay. Why the hell can't you accept Dani?"

"I accepted Kurt because he stays the hell out of my way. The blonde lesbian is a freaking idiot and deserves to go missing."

Not realizing Santana, Quinn and Brittney are right behind him, Puck smirks.

"Don't have anything to say?"

"I have a lot to say, but I think Queen Bitch wants to deal with you first." Finn crosses his arms as Puck turns in time to get punched in the face by Santana.

"What the hell was that for?" Puck shouts.

"Santana's openly gay, you jackass." Brittney snaps, "We all know you still like her, but you can't have her."

"Is that why you are targeting, Dani you idiot?" Quinn questions calmly.

"Because we all know Santana likes Dani. Once the bitch is out of the picture, Santana will be mine."

"I will NEVER be yours." Santana argues. Santana sighs in her mind thankful that everyone is in his or her classes, and they are in a no classroom hallway. She might be openly gay, but she doesn't want anyone to know she likes Dani. She is still the school's Queen Bitch. She doesn't want to show she can be vulnerable. That is why she is fighting her feelings toward Dani. To do so, she will be bullying Dani, as much as she would love to surrender and just be with her.

"You will be Lopez, if it is the last thing I do."

"That is so Hollywood. All movies say that." Santana chuckles, "But whatever helps you sleep at night."

After everyone leaves, Finn turns to Rachel as she slides down the lockers letting her tears fall. Sitting down next to her, Finn pulls her into his arms comforting her.

With Dani, she hasn't eaten since she was taken from the hospital. Hiding in the corner of the van, she has stopped crying and screaming until there are no tears to cry and her voice is gone. She has kicked the glass until her feet bruised, but even then she kept kicking. She punched the glass until her fists started to bleed. Looking at the window, she sees her dry blood staining the glass.

Looking at Master and Mistress in fear, Dani has been punched and kicked from whoever was in the passenger seat. Looking at her arms, the skin is still raw and broken. Master has already dislocated her shoulder. The slightest movement brings tears to her eyes.

Looking back out the window she finds them on a dirt back road with slush everywhere. Looking ahead she finds an old farmhouse.

Knowing they are miles and miles away from any town or even a house, Dani lets out a puff of air from her nose.

Feeling the car come to a stop, Dani waits until the door opens. Hoping out before she could get forced out, she hugs her left arm to her. Waiting until one of them to grab her arm, she quickly falls into a routine.

Getting tugged up to broken steps, and into the house, Dani jogs to keep up to their long strides. Knowing she is going to get put into the basement, she memorizes her route to outside.

"Dinner is at five." Master snarls opening the basement's door. Pushing her down the stairs, one of the stairs snaps catching her foot. Hearing the door slam and lock, she tugs her foot free in the pitch black. Feeling the walls, she pictures what it might look like.

Hearing the crunch of rocks under her feet, she feels pipes and broken glass around her and above her. Feeling the ripple from the water, Dani sighs. Thank god my boots are waterproof.

Squatting down, she feels the water level, slightly higher than ankle deep. Using the water to clean the blood of her hands gently, before cleaning her bleeding nose. Getting out of the water, she finds the stairs before sitting down. Taking off her coat, she removes her sweater. Putting her coat back on, she turns her sweater into a sling. Closing her eyes, she prays that Will, or someone, anyone to remove her from this hell that is soon to arrive.
