Fate Chapter 12 I love you, a harry potter fanfic

As a way to say sorry for the long wait, here is the next chapter

(Remus refers to his wolf side as Moony. This chapter will contain many POV's from different characters so sorry in advance for the jumps of POV that are in this chapter.)

Chapter 12: I Love You

~Remus POV

Seeing Lucia and not being with her has been one of the hardest things I have ever experienced in my life besides the transformation into a werewolf I go through every month.

It breaks my heart as I see her and Harry grow closer as the days go by. A part of me is happy that Harry has someone to be there for him while the other part of me, that eerily sounds very similar to moony, is angry and wants nothing more than rip Harry apart for even being near Lucia.

The two sides of me are constantly at war with one another so often that it is a bloody miracle I have not gone insane.

Wanting to talk to someone how I feel, I decide to go look for Sirius even though he is still upset over my past with Lucia.

I sniff out his scent and find him sitting in the library looking upset over something.

~Sirius POV

I can't believe I lashed out against my own daughter and caused her to run away from me crying. I know that I have a bit of temper but I had hoped that I would never lose it like I did.

I look up from the ground and see Remus standing in the doorway looking at me. "What do you want Remus", I say tensely at him letting him know that I was still upset about him having been with Lucia in the past.

"Sirius I know that you are still upset but I have to talk to you about everything that I am feeling in regards to Lucia and the relationship she has with Harry", Remus tells me.

(Sorry don't really know how to describe the conversation they have. Basically Remus tells Sirius how he still has feelings for Lucia and the conflicting emotions he has in regards to her being with Harry. Sirius decides to be frank with him and tells him that no matter what he feels, that he should respect Lucia's decision to be with Harry. Also tells Remus that if he does love Lucia, he should want her to be happy even if it is not with him.)

After talking to Sirius, I know what I must do even though it will hurt me to do so.

I go to the room Harry is in and see that the door is not locked so I walk in. "Harry, it's time we talked about your relationship with Lucia", I tell him.

Harry doesn't say anything but he nods his acceptance to what I said. I sit on a chair that I pull up in front of where he is sitting on the bed. I mentally prepare myself for what I know to be a difficult conversation that is about to occur.

~Harry POV

"Okay Remus, what is it that you want to talk about?" I ask him after he sits down.

"Harry, I know that by now you know that I used to be Lucia in the past and you have probably figured that I still have feelings for her. However, I am not here to ask you end things with her or anything of the sort. I want you to know that even though I still love Lucia, I will not stand in the way of her happiness and that is being with you. But know this, if I find out that you hurt her or break her heart in any way I will not stand back and tolerate it. So with that warning, please make her happy as it is obvious that she is happy by your side", he tells me.

I am in completely disbelief as I never expected him to tell him any of those things. He is right that I know of his past involvement with Lucia but I honestly thought he was going to tell me to end things with her so that he could be with her again. I am a bit ticked off that he threatened me, yet I understand why he did it.

"Moony, you have my word that I will not hurt Lucia in any way and I respect your choice of not standing in the way of my relationship with her", I answer back to him.

He pats my shoulder while giving me a look of understanding. I follow him as he goes to leave my room when we both hear sounds of a fight happening in the room that is two doors away from mine. We look at another and rush to the room to see what is going on. Remus opens the door and to the shock of the both of us, we see that Lucia and Hermione had been fighting based on their messy and bit bloody appearances. What I see next him has me feeling horrified from the pits of my stomach as Hermione is about to curse Lucia with a spell.

Just as I am about to curse that stupid harlot, Harry and Remus barge into the room. I see that my Harry is looking at me horrified but doesn't he understand that I have feelings for him and if it wasn't for Lucia we would be together now.

"Hermione! Are you bonkers?! Stop pointing your wand at Lucia this instant!" Harry exclaims to me as he rushes in front of Lucia to shield her from me.

"Harry…I was… but…", I try to form something to tell him but it seems I am incapable of doing so. In my desperation to answer I fail to notice until it is too late and Remus disarms me with a simple Expelliarmus. He grabs me and proceeds to take out of the room while I continuously try to escape his hold. I look towards Harry for help and what I see has me stop fighting Remus's hold on me.

Harry is hugging Lucia tightly and whispering from what I can presume to be assurances into her ear while she holds on to him just as tightly. Not even one single glance does Harry give to me at all as I am being taken out of the room.

Just as Remus is closing the door on them, I clearly hear Harry tell Lucia the three words that completely end up shattering my heart. He says, "I love you…"

Wow. I think this is one of the longest chapters I have ever posted. I was debating on when Harry goes into the room on what exactly he sees Hermione doing. I was stuck between him seeing Hermione actually casting a spell against Lucia or just see her pointing her wand towards Lucia. But, me actually not being a Hermione hater, I could not make myself write her being so petty as to actually throw a curse at Lucia.

Remus will like he said not stand in the way of the relationship between Lucia and Harry but he is serious about the warning he gave to Harry.

Next chapter will be the aftermath of the fight from Lucia POV and you will see what lead to Harry saying I love you to her.
