"Why do you always pop up?..." I ask still annoyed from before "...you're like a zit on picture-day" I mumble the last part, only half hoping he wouldn't hear.

He shrugs his shoulders "I don't know. I was in this neck of the woods when I spotted 'The Monster' -which by the way sticks out like sore thumb here in Roseville- so I just thought I would 'pop up' as you so lovely put it"

"Zach!" Joey shouts waving frantically.

"Hey man, how are you?" they then processed to some weird-handshake-greeting-thing. I raise an eyebrow at them.

Joey practically bounces while he looks at me "Me and Zach-"

"Zach and I" I correct, he shakes his head at me.

"Zach and I...made up a special handshake, only we know" he turns to Zach "I'm Ok. I met my godfather...we have the same name but I have a 'ee' at the end of my name. Weird huh?" Zach just chuckles at Joey's natural excitement as the little boy jumps up and down.

"Hey Joey? Want to go to the park? If it's ok with Gallagher Girl that is" he asks Joey. Joey looks at me puppy-dog eyes, then Zach joins in (which is a very funny sight, especially when he's wearing his leather jacket).

"Urgh...fine! You know my weaknesses" I sigh

"Yay!" Joey and Zach high-five.

"Lead the way Mr Goode"

"My pleasure Ms Morgan" he holds his arm out like how the gentleman used to. I go to link my arm with his when another beats me to it. I look down at a grinning Joey his blue eyes shinning with playfulness, only found in a child eyes. Joey Links his arms with Zach and mine then trys, and fails, to drag us towards the park. Even if he has no clue where it is.

On the way to the park people kept giving us strange glances, aimed especially at Zach. In fact they all seem to be focused on Zach.

"Why are people looking at you like that Zach?" I ask as a middle-aged women passes us giving a curious stare.

"Town bad-boy has a soft side?" he guesses. I leave it at that...For now.

"Zach?" I ask.

We got to the park and Joey went a bit crazy with all the play equipment.

I'm sitting on a swing while Zach pushes me slowly, as we watch Joey zoom around the place playing and trying to make friends.

"mmhmm" he hums

"Why are you the town 'bad-boy'? You know a leather jacket doesn't just give you that tittle?" I ask teasingly. Zach stops pushing the swing for a moment but continues after a very heavy sigh looking down.

"Why do I feel the need to tell you?" I hear him mumble to himself probably something I was not meant to hear.

"To put it simply-" he starts but looks up from his feet to quickly check on Joey "- I have a bitch of a mother and a dead-beat-dad...Did some things I regret, some thing I don't. Got the label for those things I regret, and it just stuck... and I lost a lot of friends..." he trailed off I turn around in the swings seat to look at him. He sits on the swing next to me, slowly rocking it with his feet.

"The things you regret?" I ask softly he looks at me making eye contact. My ever-changing eyes lock onto his intense green ones. "You don't have to tell me" I add.

"That's the fucked up thing! I want to. I don't know why I want to but I just feel like I can. And- and it's annoying. I'm not used to letting people in!" he runs his hand though his hair roughly, he mutters to himself again "It's easier to push them away"

I'm slightly shocked from his outbrust but I touch his forearm trying to give some form of comfort.

"Zach...you don't have to tell me, it's not like you've known my for years"

"I'm sorry Gallagher girl" Zach apologizes

"why?"

"for my ranting and my outburst" I shrug my shoulders, and smile at him.

"Zach?"

"yeah" he looks at me then at Joey, who is trying to talk to a girl his own age.

"I feel the same" I blush slightly

"What?" he asks comfused

"I feel like I can talk to you...I'm not used to having friends. I was a loner. Always was. Until Joey came in the picture"

He smiles. Yes, smiles. Not a smirk. But a full blown breathtaking smile!

"Mummy! Mummy! Mummy!" Joey shouts running up to us. I turn my attention to Joey.

I grin "Yes sweetie"

"Come play!" he gins holding out his hand, I laugh "You too Zach!"

"One second!" Zach calls.

I think I zoned out because the next thing I know Zach kisses my cheek, lingering a little too long for it to be considered a peck. He moves his head to my ear "Thank you Cammie" he then proceeds to jog to were Joey is.

I just stood there in shock.

Thank you for what!?

Zach turns around and smirks at me "Come on Gallagher Girl. Lets see how good you can hide in a round of hide and seek"

I think I was just dazzled by Zachary Goode.

I get out of my state of shock and shout "You're on!"

And that's how we spent the rest of that sunday, playing like little kids.
