Hey, guys! So I was told that my first upload on this chapter was on crack and all the formatting information was showing lol Thank you to whoever told me...I was wondering why it said there were over 4K words. Anyway, please let me know what you guys are thinking of the story, I've had my doubts and I may or may not be continuing because of lack of inspiration. With the show ending, and lack of seeing Anelie's Mamma in TVD it's been a downward spiral.

Stefan returned to his room, Elena stood in one of Stefan's button down shirts and panties looking through one of his bookshelves.
He stood there for a moment studying his girlfriend's figure. She looked just like Katherine, and a part of him had almost wished she was.
"You read?" Stefan wondered as he had stood at the threshold of the room observing his new guest looking through their library.
"Once and a while, Anelie however seems to always get lost in them."
"I admire women who allow themselves the pleasure, especially someone like Anelie. Neither of you seem to care what others think about such things." Stefan explained
Katherine smirked, "To live by a man's standard is simply not a way to live life; Anelie has been through far too much. She deserves whatever makes her happy."
"You have a very new way of thinking Ms. Pierce."
"On the contrary, Mr. Salvatore it is not in fact new however mature."
Stefan chuckled, "You are mature for your age then, to which I admire also. You are not like most woman your age."
"You are right, though I am much older than I look." Katherine grinned now completely facing the young Salvatore. "In spirit that is." She giggled
/
"So, I take it everything is alright?" Elena questioned her boyfriend now standing in front of him.
Stefan smiled softly, "Yes, everything is fine," he replied putting his hands on her shoulders and letting his fingers move down her arms then grasping her hands in his.
"I hope you don't take offense to this…but it is almost hard to believe that Anelie is Katherine's daughter." Elena smirked.
Stefan chuckled, "Why would I take offence to that?"
Elena shrugged a shoulder, "I don't know…maybe because she is your ex-wife and you just spend a week with her and her children in New York? Which by the way is also hard to swallow."
Stefan shook his head, "You stayed in Katherine's house for a week with Anelie and Nadia, why is it still hard to believe?"
"Stefan it was like you just ran off with her—playing pretend family with Katherine and her girls."
Stefan sighed, "Listen, I went for Anelie. Not Katherine."
"Did Anelie ask you to go?" Elena asked
Stefan hesitated to answer, he didn't want to lie because the truth was: no one asked him to go. He had decided on a whim to go with the Petrova Family. Like Anelie he was playing pretend, he wanted to know what it felt like to be with Katherine and Anelie again. In their presents when they weren't put on the spot or at a town party.
Elena's shoulders fell, her heart dropped. She knew the answer.
"Elena, there are things about me that you won't understand. But I will tell you anyway because I love you and I want to be honest with you." Stefan began. Elena let out a heavy breath.
"Alright, I'm listening."
"Less than a month after Katherine and I were married the Vampire round-up happened. I barely got the family that I had dreamt of…and for a hundred and forty-five years I thought I never would. I thought both my wife and daughter were dead. Then here they both are—alive." He expressed tears burning his eyes.
"I just had to know what it felt like to be a family again."
Elena sighed, "You're right…I don't understand. But to be honest I still do not understand how you can have fallen in love with me for me and not because I look like her. But I still trust you. And I know that you would never hurt me like that."
Stefan let out a breath of relief.
"You're right, I do love you, for you. You and Katherine may be doppelgangers, but I can tell the difference between you are her. I know you, Elena. And I love you."
Elena let herself fall into his embrace. She pressed her body as close to Stefan's as possible and closed her eyes, "I love you too, Stefan."

The Sunlight was just peaking over the horizon; light breeze blew through the leaves. Anelie sat on the roof of the Salvatore Mansion watching night turn into day.
She had fallen asleep for maybe three hours, the rest of the night she was up going through the books which she had not seen or touched in over a hundred years, they were a little worn but Stefan took good care of her things. It seemed as if time barely touched them.
Around four Anelie decided to peak outside her window, the Moon was setting and sunrise would follow in a couple of hours. She pushed open the glass and carefully climbed to the roof and laid down gazing up at the stars and watching them slowly fade into the morning.
"I didn't expect to see you up here." A voice said from behind her.
Anelie looked over her shoulder and rolled her eyes turning back to the sunrise.
"What are you doing here, Anelie?"
"None of your damn business." Anelie spat. She closed her eyes and let out a deep, slow breath. "What do you want, Molly?"
Molly wondered up beside Anelie, "I wanted to watch the sunrise…" She hesitantly took a seat next to Anelie, "I suppose you're doing the same thing."
"How'd you guess that?" The eldest Vampire scoffed.
Molly stayed silent.
Anelie gazed out at the horizon watching the sun peek.
Several moments went by, Anelie knew Molly was watching her…Molly's gaze irritated Anelie's skin. She felt beyond irritable.
"I apologize about last night…" Molly inserted, Anelie acknowledged her, "I was out of line. My mother made me see that."
Anelie said nothing returning her eyes to the direction of the cool breeze.
"I know nothing about you…I had no right to say what I did."
"You are damn right…You had absolutely no right; I am who I am for good reason. None of which is any of your business."
"And again I apologize." Molly insisted
Anelie shook her head, "I'm not much older than you…in hen site we're close in age. When I found out my sister still had a daughter alive I was so excited to meet you." She chuckled, "Had I known you would be such a judgmental brat I would not have wasted my energy on you."
Molly was taken back, her heart raced in her chest.
"You grew up…had kids and lived a life. Sure, I've lived…and I have had a wonderful life that is still on going. My Mom is my best friend…and I'm beyond happy to be in the arms of my Daddy again." Anelie smiled, tears burning her eyes, "I would not change who I am for the world and certainly not because you think I need to grow up."
She acknowledged Molly's gaze, "Because in hen site you don't matter. I love my sister…but blood does not make and family and I owe you nothing. Whatever is it you came here to get away from—I'll protect you but it's not for you. It's for Nadia."
"Anelie—"
Anelie got to her feet, "I do not know you all that well…though from what I do know—being around for as long as we both have, you are a very closed minded person."
Anelie walked to the edge of the roof and sat with her legs dangling over the side, "Stay out of my business."
Before Molly could waste her breath Anelie jumped down from the roof and back into her bedroom.
Molly sighed, "Fuck…"
/
Anelie jumped on to her bed, face first into a pillow and let out an irritated scream. Molly made her skin crawl. But she was not the most important person to worry about right now. All that mattered was protecting Elena and keeping her as far away from Klaus Mikaelson as possible.
"What the hell is going on in here?"
Anelie jumped up from her pillow and looked to her door where Katherine stood gazing at her, "What is the matter?"
Anelie growled rolling her eyes and shoving her face back into the lavender pillow case.
"Oh shit…someone has already irritated you this early in the morning?"
"Just Nadia's too-perfect daughter…I fucking loathe her." Anelie admitted straight
"She's your niece, Anelisia…you aren't allowed to hate her."
Anelie scoffed and sat up, "How dare you say that to me—since when are you so invested in family…blood means nothing."
"Anelisia stop it. I know that Molly has not been understanding of you. But she's our family and we need to protect her." Katherine pleaded.
"The only person that I am worried about protecting anymore is Elena. Otherwise I don't give a shit. Anyone who questions me like she has is not welcomed in my life."
"What happened? Did she say something else to you…?" Katherine demanded
Anelie averted her gaze, and fell back onto her pillows.
"It's whatever…I'll get over it." She insisted
"…Anelie, you know you can talk to me about anything—whatever she said to you, I would like to know."
"Mom…it's whatever, yes I'm bothered, but I'll be fine. I just hate people thinking that their opinion about my life matters. I just met her…I don't understand why she has such a problem with the way that I am."
Katherine sighed, "Well if it makes you feel any better…for now, Molly is going to be staying here. I'm not sure what Nadia is doing, but you can keep your distance from Molly as you like."
Anelie nodded, "Great, I can sit on the roof and watch the sunrise without being interrupted."
"Uh oh…is that why you're in such a mood?"
"That's one of the reasons—and I'm hungry."
Katherine laughed, "I am too…come on, Stefan is making breakfast." She placed a kiss on Anelie's hand and got up from the bed.
Anelie was quick to follow behind being welcomed with the scent of bacon as she entered the hall.

"Hey, Daddy…are you and Elena going to the dance tonight?"
Stefan glanced to Elena who was smiling shyly and then acknowledged Anelie, "I have a feeling we are. Why do you ask."
"Well…I was thinking about going…I've never been to a school dance before and I thought that it could be fun."
Stefan smiled, "Well, it's a decade dance, you interested in putting on a poodle skirt, again?"
Anelie groaned, "Ugh, the fifties…seriously? It was basically the Renaissance all over again except with vaccines and cleaning products filled with chemicals that could kill people."
"The only picture that I have of the fifties is Grease, poodle skirts, and milkshakes." Elena reported
"You wish the fifties were that—but it was a scary time…for humans." Anelie added the last part quickly, "Red Scare…McCarthyism…indentured housewives."
"Don't forget milkshakes." Katherina added, "I could really go for one of those right now."
"It's barley nine in the morning." Nadia added
"You're right—the Grill doesn't open until eleven—dammit." Katherine sighed, "I know what I'm having for lunch."
Nadia rolled her eyes grinning
"Anyway—back to the dance. I still want to go…I want to have some fun before Klaus shows up, because when he does all hell will break lose."
Elena shifted in her chair, "Now that you remember him…I know you said that you hate him, but…"
"I'm going to do all that I can to protect you, however you should know, because his blood runs through my veins, he can track me easily. He can see where I am."
"That's our best bet though." Katherine added catching Elena's gaze, "It's not a weakness. You're going to get through this."
"Katherine's right." Stefan chimed in placing a hand over Elena's.
A thought struck Anelie, she looked to Stefan and Elena, "Hey…" she smiled they returned her gaze, "I've got an idea."
/
Anelie looked at herself in the mirror, she liked the idea of dressing up in fifties fashion again, though she also liked the shorter dresses. Traditional length was awkward, she watched dresses go from poufy, floor length, corseted-busts, to now modern skater dresses that hardly covered a girl's butt. The dress she wore was red, her preferred color. A halter top that covered her entire chest but left her shoulders bare; offset, large button detailing.
Katherine curled Anelie's hair how she usually wore it, only pinning it half a layer in the back. And added a red bow.
"I wish you were coming…I'm so nervous." Anelie admitted.
"You're going to do fine, Anelisia, you'll have Stefan and Damon is chaperoning. Everything is going to work out exactly like we planned." Katherine insisted pressing a kiss to her daughter's cheek.
Anelie sighed, "I hope you're right, Mama."
"Okay, now put on your shoes, they're waiting for you downstairs."
Anelie turned away from the mirror and looked to her mother, "Mom, can I ask you something?"
"You know you can ask me anything."
Anelie slipped on her black Mary Jane's, fastening then strap in place, she stood up from the side of the bed, "Do you still love Klaus?"
Katherine looked at her daughter puzzled, she had not expected such a question. "That…is a very complicated question."
"Would you go back to him if he asked for your hand?"
"A part of me will always have love for him…it's because of him that I have you. But, I could not ever forgive him for what he did to you, so no. I wouldn't go back to him." Katherine elaborated.
Anelie let out a breath of relief and smiled softly up at Katherine.
"Relieved I take it?" Katherine giggled
"Yes, you have no idea how much it has been bugging me."
"Worry no longer, my dear. It will never happen again."
"Anelie come on! It's show time!" Stefan called from the bottom of the stairs.
"We're coming!" Katherine called back.
Anelie took one last look in the mirror, "You look gorgeous—now come on, your daddy is being impatient." Her mother demanded grabbing her hand and dragging her out of the room.
Thank you for reading!
