To those who have read a nd reviewed the last chapter. I thank you. I had one review that said the baby should have been a girl. I decided on a boy because just about every story that they have a baby it is a girl. So I figured a boy would be different. Plus once old enough to play boys are more fun in my opinion. As always I do NOT own any of the original Burn Notice characters. I make no money on this at all.

Michael was walking around the room with his son. Fiona was resting in bed before they were sent home from the hospital later that day. "Michael we still need a name for him."

Michael stopped walking and sat on the edge of the bed. "I know Fi, have you thought of anything?" Michael handed the baby to Fiona.

"Actually I have, Michael. What do you think of the name Lucas?" Fiona adjusted the baby so he could feed.

Michael thought for a moment, "Lucas? Where did that come from? I would have thought you would want a family name."

"Well we are a family and if we keep reusing names of other family members everyone eventually will have the same name. Plus I like the way Lucas sounds." Fiona looked down at the baby who was eating peacefully.

Michael was watching his son, "Lucas it is then." Michael gently stroked the top of his sons head. "Hello Lucas." Michael said with a smile a mile wide on his face.

A few hours later Michael and Fiona were home getting Lucas settled in his bassinet. Once he was asleep Fiona and Michael went into the living room with the baby monitor. Fiona gently plopped onto the couch and put her feet up on the couch. Michael lifted her legs and sat next to her, putting her legs on his lap. Fiona had her eyes closed, Michael was watching her. "Michael why are you staring at me?" She asked not even opening her eyes.

Michael smiled at her, "I wouldn't say I was staring. More like watching."

"Ok then, why are you watching me?" Fiona opened her eyes and sat up a little not moving her legs off Michael's lap.

"I was just thinking how amazing you are. Just a couple days ago you were pregnant. Now we have a son. You brought him into the world. Now we have brought him home. He is depending on us for everything. I'm freaking out about it, but you seem perfectly calm like you've done this many times before. To me thats amazing. You are amazing."

Fiona sat up fully and moved closer to Michael. "Believe me I remember being pregnant just a couple days ago. I know you are scared of turning into your father, I know that you know deep down you would never harm your child. If you ever did you also know I will kill you. As for me seeming calm, I'm not. I am freaking out just like you are, I just hide it better." Fiona took one of Michaels hands into hers. "We are both new at this, but we will be fine. If we need help we could call your mom or there is always the internet. Just like everything else we have been through we will get through this too. Baby's are not that complicated."

Michael interrupted her, "Fi we do not know anything about baby's. Up until a couple months ago I had never changed a diaper. I had only changed one diaper and I got pee'd on while doing it." Fiona giggled at the memory of when Michael had changed Charlie's diaper. "Don't laugh, I'm sure its going to happen to you soon enough. I read that unless you keep little boys covered they could pee at any time. That's not the only thing I'm worried about. What do we do when Lucas gets sick? Or whatever else may come up?"

Fiona slipped into Michaels lap, and took his face in her hands to make sure he was listening. "Michael we are going to be fine. Everyday women have babies. And everyday babies are born to new parents. I'm sure they feel the same way we are right now. Not knowing what to do if something goes wrong. What we have going for us is that we have been in do or die situations many times and we are still alive. We can think quickly and react just as quick. We will be fine, Lucas will grow up to be a happy and healthy child." Fiona let go of Michaels face and he turned his head away for a moment. Michael looked at Fiona then looked away again. Fiona turned his head to face her. "Michael tell me what your thinking."

"I don't know what I'm thinking, thats the problem. I just don't know what to expect. What if Lucas doesn't like me? What if I can't handle temper tantrums?" With that the baby monitor came to life with baby cries. Michael jumped a little when he first heard it.

Fiona got off Michaels lap and took his hand, "Michael come with me." Michael got up and followed Fiona into their bedroom where the bassinet was. "Michael pick up your son." Michael did as he was told, and the baby started to quiet down. "See that Michael all you did was pick him up and he stopped crying."

Michael was gently rocking his son, "Fi, he would have stopped if you had picked him up too." He walked over to the bed and laid his son down and started changing his diaper. Michael changed the diaper with no problems and picked his son back up.

Fiona was just watching Michael and how natural it all seemed. "Michael do you see what you are doing? You just changed Lucas with out even thinking about it, you knew he was dirty and you took care of it." Fiona walked over to where Michael was standing and took Lucas from him and sat on the bed to feed him.

Michael sat on the edge of the bed, "Well he was wet and the nurse said it could cause a diaper rash if we sat in a wet diaper for too long. So I changed him."

"Michael thats what I've been telling you, being a parent is not so hard. Its partially about instinct. You knew there was a potential problem and you took care of it before it became a problem. You will be a wonderful father."

Michaels head snapped up, "No I don't want to be a father. I had a father and I hated and feared him. I would rather be a daddy."

"Fine then you will be a wonderful Daddy. There is no doubt in my mind about that." Fiona finished with the feeding and burped the baby. Once she got a burp out of him she handed the baby back to Michael. "Now I was hoping to take a little nap while Lucas did but someone had a minor freak out and that didn't happen. So now you can take the baby downstairs with you and let me sleep for a bit." She gave Michael a kiss on the cheek and pushed him towards the door.

Michael looked back at Fiona who was getting comfortable in the bed. Michael left the bedroom closing the door behind him and headed down stairs. Once downstairs he realized he had no idea what to do next. Does he keep holding the baby, should he lay the baby down somewhere. He didn't want to bother Fiona and he definately didn't want to call his mother. Michael walked into the living room and put the tv on. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water and a yogurt. Michael sat on the couch and got himself comfortable. Once he realized he couldn't hold the yogurt and Lucas at the same time he decided to lay the baby down beside him on the couch. After he ate he picked the baby back up and laid him on his chest and put on a baseball game. (Red Sox vs Yankees) Next thing Michael saw was a flash of light. It was Fiona taking a picture. "Fi what are you doing?" Michael sat up a little straighter then he was before.

"Michael you let me sleep for three hours. I figured after an hour or so you would be trying to get me up."

"Three hours? You're kidding." Michael looked at his watch and it was in fact three hours later. "Wow, I guess I drifted off." Michael looked down at Lucas who was still asleep. "Guess he drifted off too." Michael stood up and started to walk towards Fiona when he felt a wetness on his shirt. He shifted the baby a little and saw the wet spot from the leaking diaper. "Damn, how can something so little make such a mess?" Michael tried to pass the baby off to Fiona.

"Nope, you gotta go change your shirt so you might as well take Lucas with you and change his clothes too." Fiona walked passed Michael and into the kitchen.

Michael took the baby up stairs and changed him first, then laid Lucas on the bed. As Michael was about to walk away a thought crossed Michaels mind and he turned around and surrounded the baby with pillows. Then changed his shirt.

Fiona walked in as Michael was pulling the shirt over his head, "Michael you realize that Lucas is only a couple days old and he can't roll over or even move yet." Fiona picked the baby up who was now awake and whining a bit. She set herself up to feed him. "What would you like to do about dinner tonight? I'm starting to get hungry."

"Hmm, I don't know Fi. What are you in the mood for?" Michael walked over to the bed to sit.

"I don't know that's why I was asking you." Fiona shifted Lucas to the other side and kept feeding him. Micahel just watched in amazement. "Michael your staring again."

"Sorry Fi, its just I've never seen somebody feed a baby like that before. I guess I'm used to seeing bottles." Michael got up and started to walk away.

"Where are you going we didn't decide on dinner yet?"

"I'll go see what we have in the fridge and come back. Worse comees to worse I can go pick something up." Michael left the room.

"Looks like its just you and me kid." Lucas finished eating and Fiona was trying to get a burp out of him. Instead of a burp he spit up all over Fiona. "Great." Fiona mumbled to herself. She cleaned up Lucas first and laid him on the bed between the pillows that Michael had set up earlier. Once he was settled she changed her shirt. Fiona looked at the small pile of dirty clothes on the floor just from the little time that they have been home. "Glad we have a washer and drier." Fiona picked up Lucas and went downstairs to see what the dinner plan was.

Not sure how this chapter came to be but here it is. I will try and update more often then I previously had been. Let me know what you think. Sorry about any spelling error's, I'm using a new program and the spell check isn't the greatest.
