Chapter 14 Forgiveness?
Summary: Optimus & Megatron work to get Orion back, willing to risk everything.

It was 2 days after Orion left the Transformers. "… careful!" Optimus groaned. Arachnid was trying to fix the damaged Prime up. "Look it's not like its easy trying to fix these damaged wires. My legs can only do so much. That's all I can do for now. You'd better hope that Orion forgives you 2 otherwise, you may suffer a horrible death from your wounds." Arachnid sighed as she walked away. Optimus looked over at Megatron who was still suffering from the cut. "Maybe we shouldn't have insulted Orion so much." Optimus thought. "Galvanuscorpa! Galvanuscorpa!" Megatron yelled. The arachnid-like hybrid walked to the back of the cave. "Yes, what's wron- Well what's worst Megatron?" she asked. "Is there anything you can do to help?" Megatron asked. "No, my saliva doesn't do anything. & my venom only paralyzes." Galvanuscorpa said. "I wish there was something you could do." Megatron groaned. "Well, how did you 2 calm Orion before?" she asked. "I spoke to him, I begged him, I put as much emotion into my words as possible." Optimus said. "Anything else?" Galvanuscorpa asked. "When he gave his life to save us, our tears & spark energy revived him." Megatron said. "Well, I think I know of a way of how to get Orion back. But you 2 must be willing to do it." Galvanuscorpa said. "Anything!" the 2 leaders said. "Since it seems that your spark energies & emotions can sway Orion, if you 2 perform a Heart Conjoinment Ritual, then he might return." Galvanuscorpa said. "What's that?" Megatron asked. "It's similar to your, 'Spark Bonding', however it can be risky. You 2 must join your spark energy together & share some of your blood with one another. Then find Orion. Once you find him, your sparks will emit a new type of energy that may have a calming effect on him. Afterward, feed him your newly created spark energy & it might calm him." Galvanuscorpa said. "Well, we'll try but my spark isn't exactly at full power." Megatron sighed. "Could we have some privacy?" Optimus asked. Galvanuscorpa nodded & left the Leader's Circle. "You think your spark could handle it?" Optimus asked. "I'm not sure. But if we're gonna get Orion back, we need to get this right." Megatron sighed as he sat up. The 2 opened their chests & saw each other's sparks. Both sparks flickered, a clear sign of nervousness. "Come on Optimus," Megatron said. Optimus gulped nervously. The 2 sparks then fired a small beam, connecting the 2. Optimus nearly shrieked but Megatron muffled it. The 2 sparks passed information between the other. While this was happening, Megatron punctured his own spark & energon dripped out of it. Megatron then suddenly offlined. Optimus stopped the bonding & closed his chest plates. He laid Megatron on the ground. Megatron then came back online. "What- What happened?" he asked. "You offlined after you punctured your spark. Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Optimus asked. "We need Orion back, the more intel on this planet, the higher chance we have of survival." Megatron said. "Alright, ready?" Optimus asked. Megatron nodded & sat up. Optimus sat in front of Megatron & exhaled (Or vented, whatever). The former Decepticon leader opened his chest plates. His spark flickered & fired a small beam. It linked his spark with Optimus's. "Just relax, it should be quick." Optimus sighed. "I'm trying to, Orion's vomit has me worried though." Megatron sighed. He had a good reason to be worried. Orion's vomit may not have melted a huge hole in Optimus's chest plates, but it still came dangerously close to his spark. Their sparks soon began to pulse in unisence. "Ok I think it's almost done." Megatron said. Then Optimus's optics began to flicker. "Optimus! Stay awake you!" Megatron growled. The spark-bonding finally ended & both leaders nearly passed out. "You ok?" Megatron asked. "Uhh, I feel dizzy." Optimus sighed. "Ok, I'll give you some time before we share- (Gulps) Energon" Megatron said nervously. "Ok, thanks," Optimus sighed. Soon the Prime's dizziness went away. "Alright, who first?" Optimus asked. "Well, I already punctured my spark so..." Megatron said. Optimus nodded & opened his chest plates again. Megatron had kept his open. Then his spark began to drip energon onto Optimus's. It burned a little but Optimus's body accepted the energon. "Wait, how long were we supposed to do this?" Megatron asked. "Uh, Galvanuscorpa didn't say." Optimus said. "How long can you last?" Megatron asked. "Well my body has accepted your energon so..." Optimus said. "Ok I think we can switch." Megatron said. Optimus now had to give his energon but he was hesitant. "Need me to do this?" Megatron asked. Optimus nodded & Megatron jabbed his servos into Optimus's spark. The Prime groaned but soon the pain disappeared. It took more of Optimus's energon than it did Megatron's energon before Megatron's body accepted it. "Ok, my body's accepted your energon." Megatron sighed. "That went quicker than I thought. I hope this works though." Optimus said as he closed his chest plates. The 2 leaders grabbed some Energon fruit & walked out of the cave. "Has there been any sighting of Orion?" Optimus asked. "Bulkhead said that he saw Orion running towards the center of the forest. If your going out there to try to pacify him, then be careful. The center of the forest more than likely has terrifying dangers." Galvanuscorpa said. "We'll try, if we don't return, please help the other Transformers survive." Megatron said. She nodded & the 2 leaders made their way to the center of the forest. "Good luck you two!"
2 hours later…
Still no sign of Orion however, there were a bunch of shed feathers that looked like his. "I think we're getting close." Optimus said. "I hope so, it's nearly nighttime." Megatron said. The sky was turning into dusk. The 2 leaders continued to walk towards the center of the forest. They found mangled bodies, a clear sign that they were getting close to Orion's new 'nest'. Then they heard a familiar roar. Orion was returning to his 'nest' after killing 5 Wyglphants. Optimus & Megatron hid behind a large bush. They peeked out & saw Orion walking towards the center of the forest with a bull Wyglphant in his jaws. He still had red eyes. Orion's claws & tail spikes were red with blood. "I hope he doesn't notice us." Optimus whispered. Megatron nodded & watched as the Primeaglodon vanished into the woods. Megatron & Optimus came out of hiding & quietly followed Orion's footsteps. Then they entered a clearing but no sign of Orion. "Where'd he go?" Optimus asked. Then Orion leapt out of the trees & tackled Optimus from behind. He stabbed the Prime in the back with his long claws. They easily cut through his plating. Before Megatron could react, Orion ran into the woods. "Optimus! Are ok?" Megatron asked as he helped the Prime up. "Not really, though he didn't hit my spark thankfully." Optimus said. Then Orion's tail came swinging out of the trees & hit Megatron in the side. Then it vanished. "We're, too open out here… He's attacking us from all angles..." Megatron groaned. He began to pour Energon fast. "We, may have to- Return to the cave..." Optimus said. "Wait! Let's try, our words..." Megatron groaned. Optimus nodded & dropped to his knees. "Orion! Can you hear us?!" he asked. "Please, let us speak! We're sorry for the way we spoke to you!" Megatron said. Orion's spit then hit Optimus in the shoulder. It melted clean to his pistons. "Please Orion! We're begging you! Forgive us & return to the cave!" Optimus cried. One of Orion's claws stabbed Megatron in the leg. "Orion, mighty Orion. Help us! I mean- We're sorry for our words! We valued our lives over yours! We made a terrible mistake!" Megatron groaned as he lost more Energon. "Please come back to us! We were stupid! We were acting like scraplets!" Optimus said. Orion's snarl could be heard but the 2 leaders couldn't pinpoint which direction it was coming from. "Try our sparks." Optimus whispered. Megatron nodded & opened his chest plates. "Orion, listen to us! We need you to survive! If you don't want us, then take our sparks from our bodies!" Megatron sighed as Energon tears fell down his face. Then a different roar was heard. It wasn't Orion, it was another Spidorphilobite. "Oh no!" Optimus groaned. The arachnid-like creature chittered happily & crawled towards the 2 leaders. Then Orion burst out of the woods & obliterated the Spidorphilobite. He looked at Optimus & Megatron. "Orion, drink our spark energies. It'll make you feel better." Optimus said. Orion stared at his former masters. He snarled & punctured Optimus's throat. Optimus's voicebox was severely damaged, but he could barely speak. "Orion stop!" Megatron ordered. Orion pulled his claws out of Optimus's throat & looked at Megatron. "Orion, this isn't you. You are a powerful beast. We were wrong to insult you. Me & Optimus, we just want your forgiveness. If you don't forgive us, at least protect the others. Leave us here to die for we have clearly lost our worth. At least help the others survive, don't punish them for our transgressions." Megatron said weakly. Orion then stabbed Megatron in the optic. The Primeaglodon suddenly vanished into the trees. "Optimus, are you still functional?" Megatron groaned as he got to his pedes. "Barely. I- I don't think III'll be ab-b-ble to maa- a-ke it back." Optimus sighed. "No! Your making it back whether Orion likes it or not!" Megatron groaned. He carried Optimus in his arms back to the cave. Unfortunately, it had gotten dark. Megatron used his spark like a flashlight. Then he heard Orion's roar. Megatron dropped to his knees & placed Optimus on the ground. Both were bleeding heavily & had left a trail of Energon. "Prime? Are you still with me?" Megatron asked. Optimus weakly opened his optics & responded, "I'm fading, fast..." Megatron snarled, he didn't want Optimus to die yet. He began to transfer whatever energy he had left to Optimus's spark. "Megatron, don't. I'll only slow you down." Optimus sighed. "No! I'm not letting you die Prime." Megatron growled. "Bu- uut, I cannn't let you d-e- die too- Megatron..." Optimus groaned. He gave Megatron whatever energy he (Optimus) had left. Then Orion's roar was heard again. "Prime, we need to keep trying. Maybe Orion will listen to us." Megatron said. Optimus looked to his left & saw Orion menacingly come towards them. He saw that Megatron was sharing his spark energy with Optimus & Optimus was sharing his spark energy with Megatron despite the wounds. Megatron sat in front of Optimus. Orion snarled angrily. Optimus got to his knees & sat next to Megatron. "Oriii-on, we- 're begging you, fooo- rgiiiive ou-wr actions." Optimus said. Orion approached the 2 leaders & sniffed their sparks. They emitted a new feeling. A feeling of regret, fear, worry, care & remorse. The Primeaglodon studied the 2 leaders. Optimus & Megatron sat still, even though they were still bleeding. He walked around them, smelling their fear. "I hope Orion forgives." Optimus thought. "Same here" Megatron answered. Suddenly Galvanuscorpa's arms snatched Orion & tossed him away from the 2 leaders. Orion regained his footing & bellowed at Galvanuscorpa. Galvanuscorpa had the height advantage but Orion still had anger broiling in his body. Galvanuscorpa was about to bite Orion when Optimus & Megatron jumped in between the 2. Orion was surprised. Despite what he did to them, they still wanted to protect him. Orion made a decision. Galvanuscorpa backed off slightly. Orion began to drool on the 2 leaders. His nanobots surged through their bodies. They began to reattach the damaged wires, stop the Energon from leaking & repair the damage Orion had caused. Then the Primeaglodon walked away. Galvanuscorpa grabbed both leaders & brought them back to the cave safely. "I hope he forgave us." Megatron sighed. "Yeah, I hope so tooo." Optimus answered.
Where Orion was…
Orion was preparing to sleep in his new 'nest'. He wasn't mad at his former masters, however, he wasn't happy with them. He only healed them to show that he wasn't going to target them. Orion however did notice that their sparks emitted a new form of energy. Maybe they had changed. Maybe they were truly sorry. Orion decided to keep an eye on them to see if they had truly changed. But he would not come back, yet.
Megatron: So we did all that for nothing?!
Optimus: Please just be patient. Maybe our efforts won't be in vain.
