Before you read this I would like to say, thank you ibukiredeyes, seriously just bless you child. You are the best. Thank you for all the reviews they were awesome, and don't be worried about correcting me.
Sitting on the 'rickety' couch, as Kakashi, had deemed it, Iruka had taken a second to actually breathe. Kakashi had made a couple bad decisions that lead to a misunderstanding. Iruka wanted to forgive him but he was still a little steamed that the situation had even gotten that far. He heaved a sigh before he stood up with a stretch. He would have to just ignore Kakashi for just a little bit longer until Kakashi got the idea.
For once the house was completely silent, not even the boys' bickering could be heard. It figured that since Iruka situated his enormous pile of work that it would finally be silent enough for him to think clearly. He had given up a couple of his duties and gave couple students bonus points for grading a few papers. So now he found that most of his work could wait until this weekend, but there was nothing to do at the house.
At first Iruka smiled, it was a very nice change to have a bit of relaxing silence. No arguing, no rude side comments, and no Kakashi sneaking little pinches and gropes here and there. He could do whatever he wanted for a change, but what was there to do? His smile faltered as he looked around the living room; television didn't seem appealing, there was a radio but he couldn't bring himself to be the one to break the silence, and that's when he saw it.
The damned thing that seemed so innocent but held so much vulgarity. Even now it seemed harmless sitting on the coffee table, but Iruka knew that as soon as he opened it he would only find the darkest secrets and desires of the human. It was the infamous ichi ichi paradise that Kakashi so loved to magically pull out at random times throughout the day and read for hours on end. Why it wasn't tucked away somewhere safely, Iruka had no idea but he made a mental note to fuss at Kakashi for leaving it lay.
Slowly Iruka sunk back into the couch and glared at the brightly colored book as if it had insulted him. He wondered what the appeal of it was that made Kakashi borderline obsessed with it. For a porn book it seemed pretty thick, maybe it had an actual story. Iruka quickly shook his head at that thought, he doubted it actually had anything past thrusting and panting. In fact he was almost sure of it since there would times that kasha would pull it out during times that the cuddled. Not once did Iruka see anything other than sex scenes, not that he was purposely looking it was just kinda there.
Curiously Iruka reached out for the book but pulled his hand away and quickly looked around to be sure no one saw him reaching for the corrupting book. He sat back into the cushions of the couch to keep away from the pull to take a quick peek inside just to confirm that there was not a plot at all. He couldn't pull his eyes from the distractingly clashing colors of the cover.
Iruka pulled at a strand of his hair and nervously looked over the back of his couch and then down towards where Kakashi disappeared to, it was still as silent as it was before. Before long the silence was too much and he found himself looking around again to land on the obnoxious paperback. Quickly he leaned forward and snatched it from the table but he couldn't bring himself to actually open it.
It was fairly light despite its appearance but that was probably because it was little bigger than half his hand. There was a summary on the back with various decorations around it but Iruka couldn't bring himself to read that either. There was a bit of noise from down the hall that cause Iruka to freeze a bit, once it subsided he let out a breath and went back to glaring at the book in his hand.
"This is ridiculous." He mumbled to himself and placed the book down beside him. To his surprise the worn literature, if Iruka would call it that, opened up and landed on a page somewhere in the middle of the book. Seeing as that was obviously a well-read part, Iruka suspected that it was probably one of Kakashi's favorite parts. Despite knowing what it more than likely was Iruka ended up casually leaning over to catch a few sentences.
Immediately his face went red and he quickly glanced around again. He had just read the last lines of what apparently had been very kinky sex scene. There he did it, he confirmed that it was porn without plot! He never had to look at it again! He did however look at it again, simply because if it was the end of the sex scene, then why was it still in the center of the book. He looked around nervously before he scanned over the words once more and found that there was a conflict that the main character was dealing with by acting out sexually.
So maybe there was something a bit more to the book past the sex, but within the next three pages they were back at each other in very detailed positions that seemed impossibly in Iruka's head. After skipping half the chapter to get part the sex scene Iruka read on with the main character going through little misadventures with plenty of sexual innuendos. There were quite a few explicit scenes but there were also jokes and sad moments that tugged at Iruka emotionally. There were plenty of times that Iruka got a little creeped out by the different things that went on sexually but he just couldn't wait to see what happened past all the sex.
"Uh, Iruka?"
Iruka suddenly jumped at the voice next to him and about tossed the book across the room in his surprise but managed to juggle it and then finally hide it under his butt. "Huh, what? Yes, N-naruto?" Iruka felt his heart beating and he was a bit shaky as he addressed his son who seemed a bit taken back by Iruka's panicky behavior. Decided the best way to go about this was calmly Iruka cleared his throat and sat a bit straighter. "What is it Naruto?
The blond stared him down for a few seconds and then went on. He seemed nervous and tense but also maybe a bit sad. "Is everything ok? I don't know what's going on exactly but how are you?" When Iruka fidgeted uncomfortably Naruto seemed to look down where the book was just barely peeping out.
"Naruto!" Iruka yelled to get his attention away from where the hidden book was. He realized he was spazzing again. "Everything is fine, I'm fine it's all ok. Go on and find something to do will you. Go mess with Sasuke or something."
Naruto made a surprised face before numbly standing up and walking away, throwing worried glances over his shoulder as he went. Iruka shivered and grabbed the book that had been uncomfortably digging into his butt cheek. Deciding that was enough entertainment for one day he placed the book back onto the stand and quickly walked towards the kitchen in hopes of finding Kakashi.
Meanwhile: Sometime while Iruka was preoccupied with reading Kakashi's porn book.
Somehow that talk had turned out a lot better than Kakashi was afraid it was going to. He never wanted to upset Iruka again, not because he didn't want to be yelled at, it's because he never wanted to see Iruka upset like that ever again. Especially not when it was technically his fault that he was like that. For now he thought it would be a good idea to suck up to Iruka as much as possible and make the best dinner he knew how to.
Unfortunately for Kakashi this particular dinner didn't have a single tomato in it, which was a sin in a house that had the tomato demon himself living in it. Uchiha Sasuke appeared in the kitchen as if summond by the lack of tomatoes in his dinner. Kakashi could tell something was up by the way he sat down calmly at the table, he was waiting for Kakashi to have a free moment.
"Alright Sasuke, What is it? Are you going to boil me in tomato juice?" Kakashi smirked at his own joke and Sasuke glared before rolling his eyes.
The raven motioned for Kakashi to take a seat which Kakashi did. They immediately locked into the familiar way they dealt with situations and emotions. This was another mini 'business meeting' that they were famous for getting into. "For now I'm going to ignore your choice in dinner. We need to talk about a certain annoying redhead that always seems to make my day worse."
Normally Kakashi would make a joke right about now but they were in business mode so Kakashi simply nodded and let Sasuke continue on. "Have you explained to Iruka that Karen is just an overly touchy nitwit? You obviously didn't do anything with her, and if you did I swear I will disown you and stick you in the worst nursing home I can find."
"No Sasuke I didn't do anything with her, yes I explained it, Iruka is still kinda peeved but as far as I know things are alright. Just in case I'm going to make a nice dinner." Kakashi stood as he remembered that he was in the middle of getting things ready for dinner. Sasuke stood as well and walked next to him to see what exactly he was up to.
It sort of shocked Kakashi that Sasuke was getting so tall, maybe Iruka wasn't just being an over worried mom. At this rate Kakashi could believe that Sasuke was taking growth pills or something. He watched as Sasuke went to the fridge and pulled out a couple different tomatoes and placed them on the cutting board. He pushed up his grey jacket sleeves and grabbed a knife.
Honestly Sasuke was too cute, Kakashi couldn't help himself, he ruffled Sasuke's hair and laughed when the teen growled and swatted his hand away. "Can you not?" Sasuke ran a hand through his hair as he grumbled.
"Sasuke, how has life been to you? We haven't talked in a while, am I losing you? Has my baby boy stopped loving me?" Kakashi asked dramatically draping his arms around the raven's shoulders.
"Yes he has." Kakashi laughed at Sasuke's comment, he sounded dead serious but he made no move to actually get rid of Kakashi's weight. Releasing Sasuke, Kakashi went about pulling a few pots and pans down. "Kakashi, how do you know if you're dating someone if neither of you have asked the other out?"
The sudden change in conversation took Kakashi a bit by surprise. He looked over at Sasuke who was messing with the tomatoes to avoid making eye contact. "Usually if no one asks, then you're not really dating. It depends on what the situation is." Sasuke nodded but he seemed a little deflated by Kakashi's answer. "Is something like that happening to you?"
"Gaara." Sasuke seemed to weigh his options on continuing to tell Kakashi what was going on, finally he decided and turned to Kakashi with a bit of a scowl. "Gaara kissed me, kisses me. At first it was just to make Naruto go away, but now when he comes over we sometimes kiss. He just sometimes pulls my sketchbook away and it just happens." Sasuke unconsciously grabbed his raven necklace and ran his thumb over the warm metal. "I'm not sure of what he thinks that makes us, but I definitely don't want anything with him. I'm not entirely sure why I don't punch him when he does do that."
"See now, when you say he just grabs you and kisses you," To say this came as a surprise was a bit incorrect. This completely threw Kakashi, he did not see this one coming at all, but he was more focused on helping Sasuke. It wasn't often that Sasuke came to him with his problems. "It's consensual?"
"Yes Kakashi, I'm not being raped."
Even though Sasuke was smirking, Kakashi was being serious. "I'm not joking. You should never let anyone pressure you into anything. Even guys can be pushed into doing things they don't want to." It seemed to sink into his son's head and he nodded. "No, about this random kissing thing; if you don't want to date him, be sure to make it clear to him. I know you and Naruto don't exactly get along, but if it makes you feel better you can have Naruto there as well to make sure things don't turn out badly."
While Sasuke seemed to think this all over Kakashi continued to get things ready. Slowly Sasuke diced his tomatoes, all the while his brow was furrowed in concentration. "If I tell Gaara I don't want to date him, he will stop kissing me right?" Kakashi shrugged as he stirred the pot of noodles in front of him. "What if that's all I want? Isn't that a bit whorish, if all I want is to kiss."
"No it's not being a whore." Kakashi realized he wasn't ready for this conversation. "Sometimes people want to do stuff with other people, but they don't exactly want a relationship. It doesn't make you a bad person or anything. It just means you're frustrated and want to express it in a physical manner. As long as you're safe, don't go too far with it, and both parties know that a relationship isn't part of the equation then it's alright. I suppose, maybe you should ask Iruka to confirm that."
"You mean check with Iruka to make sure you didn't just tell me that I could go be with whoever I wanted." It was nice to hear Sasuke being a sassy like his usual self. "Don't worry Kakashi I get it."
"Good, I don't think I would have been able to explain it in any other way." Sasuke rolled his eyes as he swiped the cubes of tomatoes into a bowl. Kakashi ruffled his hair again and moved away quickly to avoid being hit. "Just expect me to pop in more now that I know Gaara has an interest in you. Should I make you leave your door open?"
"No! I knew telling you was a bad idea." With that Sasuke left taking his bowl of tomatoes with him.
"Love you son!" Sasuke shot Kakashi a halfhearted glare and left the room after flipping the bird.
Not long after that Iruka entered the kitchen seeming a bit frazzled and maybe a bit white. He started cleaning up around Kakashi and moving everything around which was honestly starting to get in Kakashi's way. Iruka was just trying to busy his hands, Kakashi knew that, but every time he turned around Iruka had moved everything that he was using and it was becoming annoying. He was hoping that whatever was bothering his brunette would either become apparent or the Iruka would just come out and tell him.
"Iruka, I know that you like a clean kitchen, but I was kinda using that spatula." Iruka looked down at the utensil he was currently cleaning. A small oh came from him as he rinsed it and handed it back to Kakashi. "Maybe you should go sit down 'Ruka, you seem like you need to take a break, are you feeling alright?" Kakashi placed the back of his hand to Iruka's forehead to test his temperature. Iruka seemed a bit spacey but whenever they met eyes Iruka blushed and looked away.
"I'm fine. I'm just, uh." Iruka looked around the kitchen. "It's really quiet, no arguing or anything. Have you heard anything from the boys?"
Kakashi suddenly turned to Iruka with a huge grin. "Actually yeah I have some juicy news about Sasuke, but you gotta promise you won't tell." Iruka rolled his eyes at Kakashi's attempt at sounding like a gossiping teenage girl. He wouldn't continue until Iruka promised though so he just went with it. "Gaara has been putting the moves on Sasuke. They apparently kiss sometimes, but Sasuke doesn't like the idea of dating him. I don't blame him, that kid scares me to."
Iruka smacked Kakashi's arm playfully. "Gaara is a nice boy, he's just a little different is all. He's a bit harsher than normal kids his age but he isn't all that scary!" Kakashi shrugged but smiled all the same.
"It looks like you're almost done so I'm gonna go grab the kids."
"Ok thanks babe." Iruka sent Kakashi a look but Kakashi just laughed as Iruka left the room.
I hope this little bit was good enough. Moving around has really made it difficult to update. Please leave a review to tell me what you think about the new little twist. ALSO! I'm going to be starting on a new story from Naruto and Sasuke's POV. It will help explain a lot of what is going on with them.
