Elementary Hakuba ending

Hakuba POV

I ran out after Shinichi into the busy night city.

"Shinichi-san! Shinichi-san!" I yelled. People stared at me weirdly and usually I would've been embarrassed but now was too urgent of a time to worry about dignity. As I was running through the people searching for Shinichi I saw an extremely flashy stage with hot pink hearts plastered all over it.

"Hello! We're running an event for couples to confess their love! Would you like to give it a go?" A girl in an embarrassing bunny costume asked.

I didn't have time for this.

"By the way it will be able to be heard for miles around!"

Miles around? Perfect!

"I'll do it!" I said grabbing the hot pink microphone and climbing onto the stage. People passed by without paying a second glance. I hoped Shinichi would hear me and yelled in my loudest voice.

"Shinichi! I don't know where you are but please come back! You drive me crazy and make me loose all composure and your so intelligent and beautiful and I love how you laugh and smile, I love how strong you are and I love you..." I stopped short as I realized what I had announced and flushed red. "I-I think I love you."

The crowd in front of the stage was silent. And then there was a single burst of laughter. It was the laughter that I loved.

"Hakuba, you should see yourself right now." Shinichi said walking towards the stage. The crowd cheered as they saw Shinichi and ushered her forward.

"You should see yourself too." I replied numbly as I started to see all the people that were watching. Before I had only thought of shinichi so I wasn't embarrassed but now... "Oh dear lord what have I done," I groaned and I buried my head in my hands.

Shinichi was drenched but the rain had stopped. Even in a ripped dress and missing shoes she looked amazing. I couldn't even imagine what I looked like. I was mortified.

"Please forget this ever happened." I told her when she got on stage.

"I can't believe you just did that," she replied with a smile.

"Please, I-it seemed like a good idea at the time." I stuttered uncharacteristically.

"Thank you." She smiled. "I felt so lost but your voice brought me back."

"No problem," I mumbled clearing my throat. "Are you ready to go back?"

"Yeah I think I'm ready to face my parents...as long you're with me," Shinichi stated.

I looked away to hide my blush.

"Right now, I think it's a great idea to get off this stage." I replied not meeting her eyes.

"You know what else seems like a great idea?" She asked.

"Hm?" I questioned as I turned to her.

The first thing I noticed was how incredibly long her eye lashes were. The second thing I noticed was that her lips were incredibly soft.

I closed by eyes and pulled her close as we kissed. The crowd roared with applause and whistling.

"I love you, too." She mumbled her porcelain skin dyed crimson.

"I think that's elementary, my dear Sherlock." I smiled before pulling her into another tender kiss.
