I could hear the sirens of the ambulance as they neared the school. They pulled up to the school and escorted Marshall and I into the ambulance. I could feel Marshall waving to Marcy from the ambulance. That was it I was on my way to the hospital. Great, another place for them to call me a freak. We entered the hospital and were taken to emergency. I had to go through many different tests just to get into the mental hospital. I answered so many of their questions that by the time I got to the last step of the process all of the answers were on rerun for me. It was a good three in the morning once they let us out of the hospital. Marshall called Marcy and she came and picked us up. I could barely keep my eyes open at this point so I gave into the sleep my body craved. I laid my head on Marshall's shoulder and to my surprise he wrapped his arms around me and laid back onto the other side of the car. We slept almost the entire ride home save for a few times in which Marcy hit a few potholes. We finally reached the house and pulled into the driveway. Marshall woke up and opened his side of the car. I was about to get out on my side when my door opened and Marshall picked me up bridal style to carry me into the house. I felt him walk up the stairs and heard the door open to his room. I felt him lower me down onto the bed and him kiss my forehead. I soon fell asleep but not before I heard Marshall whisper, "I always love you through all your flaws my little bunny," and slowly shut the door. I woke up the next morning like I always do. Listening to Marcy and Marshall screaming at each other. I got out of bed and took to the shower. I tried to wash the smell of hospital off of me but to no avail. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself and stepped out into the hallway only to collide with Marshall. I fell and managed to grab Marshall on my trip downwards. I hit the ground only to hear a grunt come from Marshall as he fell down on top of me. I looked up only to get trapped in Marshall reddish brown colored eyes. He looked down and in that moment it was eternal. He started to bring his face down as I brought mine up to close the few centimeters separating us. His lips were cool and soft. Not what I had expected for an edgy boy like Marshall. But in that moment it felt like the world would never end and the minutes would continue on, but finally we had to pull apart. And yet even as this devastated me. What I realized next frightened me. For at that moment I realized I loved Marshall and that he was the one who had saved me.
