KK guys, so here is chapter 14 as promised!

To answer to Dina's review... It was sort of a plot twist in my opinion, if you remember in the earlier chapters, Jane did accept the fact that she loves Maura. And no need to generalize my story line to the others... I know what I'm doing. I'm not trying to characterize Maura as the "love sick puppy". But thank you for your some what constructive review.

On the other hand, thank you all for your lovely review.

"Jane. What in the hell are you doing here?" she said as soon as the door slung open. "You're clearly drunk. Go home."

"Are you really heartless enough to make me go home like this." the detective pointed at herself.

"...Fine. Get in."

On cue, the taller women strut in with her usual swagger but clumsier.

"Rizzoli," she turned to Joyce. "Shoes. Off."

Jane grumbled something incoherent as she pulled off her boots.

"So about what you said on the phone... Why are you here?"

"I'm here for you." Jane said as she dropped on the couch.

Joyce took a breath. "You're drunk, Jane."

"I love you."

The detective pulled her ex towards her.

"I left you." Joyce whispered.

"I love you." Jane repeated.

"We can't."

Before she could get anything else out of the very drunk detective, all she could hear was her mumbling something similar to: I love you, Maura. Jane passed out.

Saturday morning

Maura Isles is usually a morning person. Maura Isles usually loves it when the sun peeks into her room, but not that day. Her head was pounding. The doctor brought her blanket to cover her head. I shouldn't have had that many drinks last night, she thought. She let out a groan.

"I have to go to work." she said to herself under her breath.

The doctor went downstairs as soon as she was done getting ready. A warm cup of coffee was already waiting for her on the island.

A voice made her jump. That was the sound of her morning getting even worse.

"Sorry, doc. Didn't mean to scare you."

"Detective," she said. "What are you doing here?"

"I came over to look for Jane, she's not answering her text messages. So I figured she was still here..." he looked around. "I thought she was with you?"

"No... she left right after she hailed me a cab."

"Oh." he replied.

Frost made a mental note to question his partner about this later.

"How did you get in anyway?" Maura asked.

"Ah. Angela was just leaving when I got here," he paused. "I guess I might as well give you a lift to the precinct."

"Very sweet of you, detective. Can you just hold on a second while I get myself some aspirin?"

Jane woke up to a familiar smell. She groans to the soreness of her body as the result of her very uncomfortable position. She glanced around trying to figure out where she was. The detective did not recognize her surrounding. Before she could start freaking out, the bathroom door opened. Joyce walking out with a towel around herself.

"Hey. You're awake."

"Uh... Yeah."

They stared at each other before Joyce decided to move.

"I'm assuming you have no idea what happened last night?" the ex said as she moved to her drawer.

Jane looked around for any clues. She tried not to look under the covers.

"No worries, nothing happened," Joyce said as if she could read the detective's mind. "I slept in the living room because you somehow managed to burst into mine a few minutes after you passed out." Jane sighed in relief.

"I'm so sorry I bothered you."

The other women laughed. "It's always good to see a drunken Jane from time to time."

Jane smiled. "So um..."

"Oh my god, woman. Just ask me already!"

"Did I do or say anything stupid last night?"

"No," she lied. "You didn't."

"That's good to know." she chuckled.

"Alright, Rizzoli. Coffee is already brewed. Get dressed and get out of my house, would you?" she smirked.
