Look what didn't become part of the cycle: writing! I'm sure you guys are sick of me by now. Worst FanFiction writer ever. Yes, yes, I agree.

On a different note, I had this crazy thought to turn this story into a Visual Novel, because my love for those things has become incredibly strong. I wouldn't expect it any time soon, but I have worked on uniform designs for Namimori High. That's..something. Right? I'll make updates related that on my Twitter if anyone is interested. Lehxra

Chapter 14

Castle

"Hi! Can I come in?"

"…"

The girl smiled and tilted her head.

"Kiseki, what the hell are you doing here?" Hibari questioned said girl as he stood in the doorway of his office. It was around 2:00 on a Friday, and classes didn't conclude until 3, so he wondered what led this girl to come to his office. Again.

"Oh, you know…" she trailed off as she attempted to look into the room, although him standing in the doorway didn't give her much of a view. A view of him though, yes.

"I don't. Stop bothering me and go back to class. If this is your free study period, go do just that. Study."

"I'm really very curious about this room and it's going to kill me if I don't come in and look at it thoroughly."

"That's not my problem." He started to close the door but she put her weight on it.

"Please! I promise I'll just look, possibly sit, but I'll remain silent, I swear! Pinky promise!" She held out her pinky, though she doubted he would touch it with his own.

Hibari briefly looked at it before glancing back up at the burgundy haired girl, who really needed to revert to her original color, whatever that may be. He moved aside. "Remember, if you speak or make any kind of noise, you are dead. Got it?" After he spoke those words, he realized that the girl might not have understood him fully, but was surprised when she smiled slightly and nodded, her eyes filled with excitement. He wondered what for? It was just his office. What weird fantasy room had she envisioned?

He closed the door behind her as she walked in and sat at his desk, putting his reading glasses back on. He watched as she curiously examined the room. She looked at the floor, covered by a dark gray carpet, the plain ceiling, his desk that stood right in front of the door. Was she impressed? Disappointed? He realized that he really didn't care and went back to doing some paperwork.

The girl walked further into the room and stopped in front of one of the bookcases. There were volumes of encyclopedias on the top two shelves. The other shelves had lots of books and essays by what appeared to be the same people, but she couldn't fully read their names. One of the authors had a first name of Abe, and the other books were written by someone with the surname of Fukuzawa. Estell didn't bother trying to attempt to read these, as she would immediately put them back.

The second bookcase was similar to first, in that it had books that Estell would probably never be interested in. As she moved to the third one however, she paused. This one was filled with manga magazines. She glanced over at the Student Council.. Discipline…the girl had forgotten his title already. She closed her eyes tightly, inwardly smacking herself before opening them and focusing on her target. Hibari didn't seem like the type to enjoy manga, or anything really, which led her to believe that other people were a part of this organization. She moved from the books and continued down the wall of cases.

The next thing she stopped in front of was a glass case that housed some extremely painful looking tonfa. This caused her to look at the boy again, who seemed to be concentrating rather hard on a piece of paper. She turned back and noticed at the very bottom were a few arm bands with writing in Katakana and Kanji. It looked oddly similar to what was written outside of the door. 'So maybe this is a club.. of sorts. How come I never see anyone with these things on though? Ughh, I wanna know…' She was kind of regretting making her promise. She had so many questions, but she'd save them for a later time.

The rest of the walls were basically bare. There were a few certificates neatly hung on the wall opposite the one with the books and weapons, but she wasn't too interested in them. There were two leather couches that faced each other at this end of the room, so she decided to sit on the one facing away from Hibari. He seemed really busy and she didn't want to bother him by being a creeper.

She fingered through the manga magazines before she found one with an interesting cover and sat on the couch. Everything seemed to be a continuation of something, so she flipped through until she found a manga that had just begun serialization.

Of course, she could follow along only slightly. She and Miles were told by Hayate-sensei that they would be on level N3 if they were to take the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test.) That basically meant that they could understand and communicate everyday situations to some extent. They were learning Kanji, but so far it had been the easy, basic ones.

Estell went back to attempting to read the manga. It seemed like an interesting one. The illustrations were done quite well. By the time she made it to the end of the chapter, the school bell had rang. She quietly got up, put the magazine in its proper place and walked to the door. She turned to Hibari, who had already been looking at her, and waved, smiling slightly. Quietly opening the door, she slipped out and closed it just as quietly.

She then let out a long sigh. It was quite difficult and tiring to stay silent for so long. It really wasn't in her nature. She giggled to herself as she made her way to the tutoring classroom. She was actually looking forward to learning something new today.

This could have been longer but I really just wanted to end this chapter here. It's another one of those days where I'm at work but I'm basically the only one in the building. I've got three hours left. I might just write another one! (Wishful thinking.)

My stories have a tendency of being driven by dialogue a lot, so I wrote this one more descriptive. It's low-key boring (laughs awkwardly.)
