AN: *YAWN* Well, I had a huge nap since Chapter 13, and I can now say that I'm ready to create Chapter 14! Sorry for the wait, but, well... I don't really have an excuse. ;( I'll explain more in the AN in the bottom. Anyways, here it is! You know where we left off, so here we go!

Chapter 14: The Scientist

In the darkness. It didn't feel quite... how do you say it... comfortable? There was always a nagging feeling that something was hiding... just beyond your vision. Then, the lights flickered back on, a little dimmer than before.

"Looks like they're losing their constant flow of energy..." muttered Clone.

Ronan then stood up, brushing off non-existent dust from his shirt. "Something must've done... something."

"Well put." I say.

CLP is still sobbing, with Aztec trying to comfort her (And not doing a very good job...). The lights flickered again.

"Alright, what's going on?!" exclaimed Ronan.

I went up to the wall and put my hand on it, as if it has the answers. "Someone's trying to get in." I stated.

Just then, the wall which I had my hand on opened up, and robots filed into the room. Ronan tried to rush one of them, but was stopped in his tracks when the robots pointed a mining laser gun at his head.

"All rebellious acts will be neutralized." crackled the robot. Ronan sat back down.

The two robots came over to me, grabbed my arms and escorted me out of the room. The last thing I heard from the room before the door closed was Clone saying,

"We'll get you out!"

BLACKROCK

"I'm tellin' you, I don't remember! Just like you two!" Nilesy exclaimed.

After many tries of asking Nilesy about what happened before, Night and Obscurus still have nothing. No information on before they were imprisoned here. There also seemed to be no windows, doors, or air vents. Plus, the lights were flickering not moments ago. This place was just a room. A horrible room at that.

Obscurus groaned as he sat down. "We have no idea how to get out!"

Night sat down beside him. "Don't worry. Something will happen. I think those flickering lights mean something..."

Just then, as Night finished his sentence, the man with a scythe on his back started to stir. Obscurus looked over to Night and mouthed the words,

What do we do?

Night said nothing back, but stood up and walked over to the man. Then, with caution, he kicks the man's ribs lightly. The man immediately jumps up, takes the scythe off his back, and points it at Night.

"Who are you?" rasped the man.

"Who are YOU?" answered Obscurus, who was standing up now.

The man thought this over, and not seeing this as a threat, he put the scythe away (Much to Night's relief) and sighed.

"My name is Scythe." answered the man.

Obscurus nodded. "I'm Obscurus," he explained. "And this is Night."

Night waved his hand as a hello, but quickly put it away when he saw how stupid that was. Meanwhile, Scythe was looking around, surveying the room.

"There's no way out, friend." stated Nilesy from the corner of the room.

Scythe looked to where the voice came from, and acknowledged Nilesy. Scythe then sat down and closed his eyes, troubled by something.

"Um," Night started. "Is... is something wrong?"

Scythe opened his eyes and said, "My friends aren't here."

Friends? He came in a group? But, before Night could ask anything more, Scythe closed his eyes again.

ENTI ENTERPRISE (ENTI)

The robot's grip was like steel. Which, of course, it was meant to be. I had no idea where they were taking me, just that they were walking me through long hallways. It all was boring until we reached the Tunnel. It was a round hallway, with the walls made of reinforced glass. But, it was what was on the outside that made me awestruck. It viewed out into multiple running quarries, so you could see all the work being done through this one tunnel. The robots pushed me on, to what seemed to be the destination. There was a wooden door, instead of the default steel doors that this place apparently had. The robots opened the door and let me in.

The inside was completely different from Delta Central. The inside looked like the inside of a log cabin. The walls were like logs stacked together, and all the furniture seemed to be made of crudely cut wood. And there was one person behind a huge wooden desk. His hair was golden blond. He was wearing a default, white lab coat. He also wore thick googles atop his head. The name tag pinned on his sleeve identified him as, "Duncan".

"Duncan?!" I exclaimed.

He looks at me with disapproval and shakes his head.

"Yeah." He answered. "It's me."

I gaped at him. Duncan is the CEO of Delta Industries?!

"I," started Duncan. "Have a few questions for you to answer..."

I nodded. "O-okay."

"First," said Duncan, relaxing a little. "Why did you break into Delta Industries?"

I looked to the floor, but still answered. "We wanted to stop you from taking over the jungle..."

Duncan laughed. "I'm sorry, but you can't stop us doing that!"

I look up at him with a determined face. "Why not?" I asked forcefully.

Duncan put on a more serious face. "Because if you did, no one would hear of The Enti Enterprise ever again."

I stayed silent until he asked the next question.

"Why did you assault one of my leading researchers and scientists?" he asked.

"You mean Darwin?!" I asked incredulously. "He was sexually harassing one of my employees!"

Duncan nodded and wrote something down on a pad of paper, mouthing the words "sexual harassment", then turned to me again.

"What does your 'enterprise' even do?" he asked.

"Anything you want us to..." I answered hesitantly.

Duncan cracked a smile. He then said to the robots, "You are dismissed." The robots then left.

Duncan pressed a button underneath his desk, making a buzzing sound. A crackle came through a speaker somewhere, and Duncan replied by saying,

"Negotiations."

After a few seconds, a hidden door behind Duncan opened up and out stepped... a girl? Well, actually, not really a girl, she seemed around the age of 18, possibly 19? Her skin was a little pale and she had black hair that fell mid-back and had a fringe covering her left eye, but the one eye that was visible was a very rich violet color, like an enderman's. She wore a headset that were the same color as her eyes and black bracelets with golden stone set into them, along with a light grey shirt that showed her shoulders and the straps of the black tank top she wore underneath her shirt. Her shirt had a... a... what were those things again? I think Ronan called it a PokeBall? Yeah. It had a PokeBall on it. And finally, black shorts with black boots.

"Enti," started Duncan. "This is Shadow. Shadow, this is Enti, head of that one company we were talking about last time?"

Shadow just nodded curtly, and stared intently at me, as if I was going to suddenly jump up and attack.

"Now, Enti," continued Duncan. "I just want to make a proposition. A... treaty, of sorts."

I nodded, allowing him to continue.

"I know you hate magic." said Duncan. "When Darwin set up cameras in your facility, I gathered enough information to support that theory."

So they really WERE watching us, not just a perverted scientist.

"We here at Delta Industries hate magic, too." Duncan dragged on. "So, I thought it would be a good idea to merge our companies, since we both have a common goal..."

I gaped at him. He wanted Enti Enterprise and Delta Industries to team up. I was convinced to say no, as memories from a distant past flooded back. But then, a voice spoke up. No, not a "figurative" voice, a whisper in my mind.

Accept the offer.

Why? My mind retorted. Who was this newfound voice?

Accept the offer. You will not regret it in the future, after all. Remember the Prophecy?

That got me. The prophecy. The voice was right. What if Delta Industries could protect the Enterprise, and in turn help me live? Plus, it's not like anything completely apocalyptic might come from this. Whoa, now I'm thinking... no! Just say yes. YES.

I walked over to Duncan's desk, and Shadow in turn comes over to me and pushes me back.

"Too close." she muttered.

I nodded, and she returns to her previous spot.

"Duncan." I said.

He looked at me. "Yes?"

I sighed, and finally said, "I agree. I think we should have an 'alliance'. For protection."

He smiled wide and stood up, clearly delighted. He tried to come over and shake my hand, but Shadow stopped him and said,

"For your protection, sir."

But Duncan just waved it away and walked over with an outstretched hand. I took his hand and shook it. Duncan seemed like he was about to say something, but he was interrupted by the huge explosion sound that echoed throughout the Delta Central.

BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!

We could hear screams coming from far away. Something had happened. And it probably wasn't good.

AN: End of Chapter 14! Thanks for sticking with me readers! Now, for an explanation. After a while, I didn't feel like doing FanFiction. I set my eyes upon something else, and frankly, I ran out of free time to do chapters in. But now, at the end of the school year, I'm getting more time. So, I'm back in business! Plus, I read recent reviews, so thank you for once again sticking with me. If I ever do that again, don't worry. I WILL return. I'll tell all of you if I do not want to continue FanFiction anymore. But today's not that day. And, if I die, my friend will probably inform all of you. So, with all that cleared up, I say goodbye to all of you until Chapter 15! See ya!
