Title: Al Rubio Moreno
Chapter Fourteen: The noble Art and Genealogy of the Malfoys
July 7, 1962
London, England
The wood of the fireplace cracked, sending small waves and distortions to the orange flames. The place was dim; the only light available was the cracking flames growing and diming like incontrollable waves of nature. A boy sat in front the fireplace, knees pressed to his chest. He was wearing a secon handed oversize cloth of a gray color, with a few holes and patches. His silky black hair fell over the blue eyes and pale skin of his cheek, as he looked at the flames intently. Every few minute he would shift from his sitting position, rocking back and forth, frowning in the process, tightening his grip on his legs, keeping his ball position, as his chin pressed into one of his knees.
Soft footsteps came from behind him, on the steps that lead to the second floor. The figure approached him softly. A delicate hand carress his black hair and with the ruffled sound of her long cloak, the figure sat down beside him, almost the same as him. From the corner of his eye he could make out the long paled thigh of a young girl, skirt high on her thighs with high heeled black socks reaching her knees. Soft, long strands of blonde hair fell over her lap, shoulder, and down to the floor. She leaned over, looking at the smaller boy beside her, her fine, greenish turquoise eyes were almost covered by the bangs of blonde hair falling over her forehead.
The boy's blue eyes couldn't help but look at the girl beside him, noticing the red wine sleeveless jacket the girl always seems to love to wear atop her white polo, matching her skirt with darker stripes of red and white.
"It's pretty late to come down here Tom." she said with a soft, sweet voice, her eyes never leaving the boy's blue eyes.
"Is it true what they're saying?" he whispered, "You're going to Wales."
"I am." she said, looking at the flames at the fireplace. "It was expected Tom," she added, "We're orphans. We get adopted eventually."
"You were the only reason of happiness when coming here after Hogwarts," he said, looking down on his feet, moving his toes under the gray socks. "I don't get why you weren't accepted at Hogwarts, your knowledge in magic is as big as me."
"Maybe I wasn't meant to go there," she said, leaning closer to the boy, her face close to his, trying to keep the conversation as low as possible. "Not everything goes like you want to."
"Everything is possible with magic nowdays Eva," he said looking back at her, "I've seen it so."
"Magic is a dangerous tool Tom," she said sighing, "If you let yourself be overflowed with magic, damage can be fatal to your soul and wellbeing."
"I don't care," the boy exclaimed, startling the young blonde, "I want you to be with me," he said now turning to face her, leaning closer to her, " I love you Evangeline."
Tom closed the distance between them, sealing his lips with her. He pressed closer; startling the blonde, making her lose her balance and slump flat on the floor, bringing Tom on top of her. His pale hand reached over to the back of her neck, titling her head upwards. The blonde, trembled, her lips slowly parted, giving an entry to the boy deepening the kiss.
Soon the blonde broke the kiss, pushing the boy away a bit catching her breath. "I really meant it Evangeline," he said breathing heavily, "I've never had someone so special in my life before."
"We're still young and immature," she answered, now sitting, forcing the boy to do so, "I'm sixteen, you're thirteen, hormones kicking in, plus I don't have another choice. I can't say no to this adoption. Its not something I decided."
"Do you love me?" At the words, Evangeline blushed, looking away.
"I don't want to get attach-"
"DO YOU LOVE ME!?" he said in a dark firm tone. The blonde jumped, blushing even deeper.
"I-"
"What is going on here?" another voice said, as the lights were turned on. A tall old lady, around her fifties with her gray hair pushed into a bun wearing a blue nightgown stood in front of the duo. Her hands landed on her waist in a angry demanding way, waiting for an answer, her brown eyes glaring from Tom's red lips, to Evangeline's blushed cheeks.
"How dare you-" Tom stood up, reached over his pocket, as the old lady moved over to him, and drew his wand, pointing the white bony stick to the lady.
Evangeline hasty stood up, "Tom stop!"
The lady stopped at Evangeline's reaction. "Lower your wand!" Evangeline exclaimed, "Tom!"
"Wand?" the lady asked, now looking at the duo that has lost interest in her.
"Screw Wales!" he exclaimed, "Come with me."
"Things don't work that way Tom."
"Things work my way!" he roared, "I will make them so!"
"What is wrong with you two!" the old lady exclaimed. Angrily Tom pointed his wand back at her, now muttering a spell.
"TOM!" Evangeline exclaimed. Hastily, the blonde muttered under breath, a vibrant force surrounded them making the glowing dark red bolt of the spell slow down. Her long delicate fingers traced pattern on the air, glowing vibrant purple as she whispered, "Lai lai li lilac."
The force disappeared, making the spell gain speed. Seconds before hitting the original target spell bounced off, like an invisible wallin the way, flying to Evangeline's direction. The blonde tried to dodge the blow enough to reach just her shoulder, blood spattered, staining her white shirt under her cloak. She fell to her knees, holding her shoulder.
Tom let his wand slipped from his fingers, shocked at the blonde's wound, "Why-"
Evangeline looked up at the black haired boy. She place her bloody hand on the floor, a glowing transmutation circle like those in the Alchemist book Tom used to read in Hogwarts appeared on the floor.
"Because I love you," She replied with a smiled, now the pentagram glowing brighter.
He looked at the final symbol that appeared on the center and his eyes widened, "Evangeline NO!"
He rushed over to the blonde but a strong force knocked him to his knee, and everything went black.
"Everything is clear outside, "Rikku said, looking up at the sky, "Dumbledore suspended Quidditch and any other sport outside, he had to come up with new strategy to keep students happy. Typical of him," she added with a smile.
"And we have to sneak in?" Lucius asked, pointing at the main gate, as they shelter under the tall trees nearby the lake.
"There's no other way to go in," Rikku said, "Classes are full at this hour, and so there won't be any student wandering."
"I would love to see their faces when seeing two fugitives sneaking in," Draco said with a grin on his lips.
They crossed the grounds to the main gate, crouching as the sky dim at the afternoon. Soon they reached the thick tall doors that held many of their young memory and pushed them slowly, trying not to make them creaked at the movement. Rikku went in first, looking over the corridors and gesturing them to follow.
"Dumbledore's on the third floor. You still remember the way?" she asked now looking at the two blondes. Draco shrugged his shoulders and Lucius rolled his eyes.
"I do," said the older Malfoy, "Though we still need the password."
"I don't think that would be-"
"Rikku!" another voice exclaimed coming from the corridor to the right. The blonde girl jumped, as the other two man pressed against the wall hidding from sight.
Rikku looked at her right stepping into the corridor the source of the voice and her mouth twisted into a weak nervous smile. "Ah Severus," she said trying not to stutter.
The taller black haired Potion Master stopped at her reaction, "What's wrong?" he asked now crossing his arms.
Rikku looked down at the floor, now twirling with her hand. Her eyes darted to the blondes pressing against the wall, away from Snape's eyesight.
"Cut him loose!" Lucius mouthed. The blonde young woman shook her head in a no response.
"Are you hiding something from me," Severus asked now approaching her. " We vow not to hide things from each others." He said softly, now looking at her hands, "and you're nervous."
Rikku looked down, slumping her shoulder, "Im sorry," she whispered and turned her heads over the blondes.
Lucius gaped, stepping back alarm, "Are you crazy!" he mouthed.
Severus hastily walked over to Rikku was looking, wand out. His inside freeze as he looks at the face of father and son, dressed in Al Bhed clothes, fresh fugitive of Azkaban.
Lucius placed his hand over his face, letting a loud sigh, "Long time no see Severus."
Severus looked back at Rikku, his lips forming a thin line. "I'm sorry!" Rikku exclaimed, looking up, "Al Bhed code, I couldn't help it!"
"Hogwarts no less Rikku!" Severus said, trying to control his tone.
"We asked her for!" Lucius said now stepping out beside the blonde woman, Severus pointed his wand at Lucius firmly, "Im not dumb enough to attack here Severus, you now that."
The tall Potion Master, lowered his wand, looking pissed at the blonde, "What do you want?" He said, now slowly pushing Rikku away from the blonde.
"We want to talk to Dumbledore," Lucius said, "I believe Voldemort- Oh come on Severus! Its not like I want to kill her or something!" Lucius said stopping his trails of thoughts at the Potion Master's movement with Rikku. "You act like she's something of yours."
"She is," he hissed.
Lucius was taken aback by his answer, "So he's your fiancée!?" he asked looking at Rikku as Draco snorted behind him, earning an nudge from his father. The blonde woman nodded, a smile spreading on her lips. "Damn he can easily be your father Rikku!"
"We don't need your judgment upon our life's and likes!" Severus scowled, his cheeks blushing faintly, "Spill out what you need already!"
"Now, if you've only let them pass to my Office Severus, we can talk more privately upon this matter before lunch break starts," the soft voice of Dumbledore came from the corridor ahead. He was dressed in dark violet robes, his hair and bread falling as usually over his shoulders and down his chest. His half moon spectacles reflect the brightness of his blue eyes.
"Would you like Earl Grey or Chai tea Mr. Malfoy?"
Lucius looked up form the wheaten colored cup on his hand at the tall long bearded Wizard. His son sat beside him with a annoyed expression, his tea lay on the round coffee table infront the couch they were sitting, ignored.
Severus stood behind the chair near the door where Rikku was sitting, waiting for the older wizard to speak.
"Not many people valorize the taste of orgqanic Chai tea," Dumbledore said softly, sipping at his cup as he looked out the window near where he sit at his desk. "Asian," he added looking at the blonde.
Lucius took one last sip from the cup and placed it on the table, "I know you might have an idea why I'm here Dumbledore."
Dumbledore lowered his cup, now placing it on his desk, "Albus," he corrected, "I'm not your Headmaster, Lucius." He glanced at the younger blonde beside Lucius and he turned his chair, now facing them.
"You've heard about the Byujji's?" Lucius asked, earning confusing stares around the room.
Dumbledore, however nodded. "I've heard theories, however, the story is pretty ancient and rare so most facts are without elaboration." He leaned over his desk, adjusting his glasses and now resting his arms on the desk.
"However, you of all people is capable to elaborate such facts with no difficulty."
Lucius looked from Draco, to his left to Snape, Rikku and finally back where Dumbledore was sitting and sighed, standing up, " We Malfoys like other few possessed what Asian calls Byujji. Its an ancient force of magic that existed before the wands were implemented into the wizarding world, just like Alchemists."
"Not everyone can have this power, "he continued, walking over the sleeping portraits of the old headmaster on the wall to his right. "It can be seek, but the consequences are fatal. There hasn't been a case of one surviving long enough to make history." His skinny hands reached over the counter ahead accompanying the portraits filled with odd Astronomy objects and picked up a small ball, made with thin straps of metal and inside laid a coin, spinning slowly.
"However, those who survived with this power are most likely to inherit by bloodline not seeking it."
"You assumed Voldemort is seeking for this?" Severus asked, now sitting on the armchair where Rikku sat.
Lucius snorted, fiddling with the ball, "Voldemort already has it. He inherited; He's a Ninkyubi."
Severus's face twisted into sheer confusion at the word, "What-"
"There are three types of Byujjis," he said cutting Severus's word, placing the ball back to its place, "Ninkyubi 's for those one element users," he turned, now facing the rest of the group, noticing how Dumbledore now drinking from his tea, looking at him intently, "Chunkyubi is for those who can control all basic elements of magical sources."
"Now, a Jinkyubi,"he said, raising his voice, leaning back into the counter he was previously watching, "Is an infinity magical source that at some point can end up controlling the controller. Best of the best, the most fearful power source."
"You recon Voldemort is trying to reach such level?" Draco asked leaning back into the cough, letting a small sigh escape his lips.
"Before it was told, "Lucius started to say, now looking at his son, "You were born Ninkyubi and you died Ninkyubi, and it was left like that until Voldemort appeared."
"He's a Chunkyubi now," Dumbledore said as if he read everyone else's thoughts, pushing his empty cup a bit away as a sign he was finished.
"Yes and no," Lucius replied, "We were surprised when we heard about it, but many of us concluded that he could have done it just as people with no inheritance seek the power, he sought further in, forcing the gates out." His hand made a boom sign making a pop sound with his lips. "He's more of a homemade rather than original. He can be call one but in the end, he isn't one."
"Regardless of what happen now, what guarantee do you have that he doesn't become that Jinkyubi."
Lucius rolled his eyes expecting such question from the Potion Master. "There is no way for him to become a Jinkyubi unless he transfers his soul to a Jinkyubi user and dethrone him from his body."
"Which is why I pressure he wanted Draco?" Dumbledore asked. A loud "WHAT!?" came from the younger blonde, standing up.
Lucius walked over to his son, his hand now massaging his temples. "My mistakes were paid when you were born." He said, making his son face turn into sheer confusion forcing him back into the couch. "Chunkyubi's have more probability to give birth to Jinkyubi's. People feared the powers so most were killed. Salazar stopped the tradition having himself a Jinkyubi. He learned what now we know as seals that suppress the Jinkyubi power to a normal sane state. Later, every heir with traces of a byujjis were seal, depending on the state."
Dumbledore, fixed his glasses sighing, "Lucius," he said softly.
The tall skinny blonde shivered and lowered his hand, now tights into fists. He looked at the older wizard, who was once his Headmaster with cloud silver eyes. "I was a child, it was a foolish attempt to attain power, to know more about what I had inside," his voice quiver a little. "I wanted my father to acknowledge me, he showed no interest in me when he found out I was one. I wanted to show him the power, the state, to share it."
He licked his lips nervously, "I learned about the seal and the arts through my uncle. I started removing the seals, little by little, untapping the power, trying to control it, without knowing the consequences. When my uncle was dying, he told me the consequences with a laugh. He wanted someone to make a change, to bring back the legendary Jinkyubi, to show the world of its power. It was reckless and crazy, and there was no turning back. By the time he died Narcissa was giving birth."
"I thought there was no chance that a Jinkyubi could be born but the power has been suppressed down by the seals so many centuries…" The tall blonde slowly lost his composure, knees touching the soft carpet in the headmaster's office, his face now hidden beneath his hands. "I thought Draco was about to die," he said in a trembling voice, his words were barely audible.
The young blonde was taken aback by the reaction of his father and the affection he showed in his voice. He had never seen his father like this, not even Severus, who now watched the older blonde with a gaping expression. Rikku was the first to react, walking over the shivering blonde, kneeling down and hugging him. " You did what you could Lucius," Rikku said, "Father said you behaved amazingly, and you exploited yourself."
"My selfish acts could have-"
"You learn from you mistakes Lucius," Dumbledore said, "I did, and so does everyone around you." His gazed stopped at the young blonde, looking from his father to his hand resting on his lap.
"Where is it then?" Draco asked, looking at his hand and tighten then into fists. "I feel nothing different."
Lucius looked up at his son, eyes red, "Potter's pregnancy; spells that you randomly do. I heard stories in Azkaban that made me shiver."
Draco's gaze lowered, remembering the night he had sex with Blaize; how he easily cursed the brunette, with a flick of his wand, creating a powerful curse that a wizard would have taken years to develop. How Voldemort always use him to do dangerous task, how easily he slip off from them.
"This is mad!" the blonde exclaimed, standing up, "Why now? Why at all!?" he walked to his left, passing by Severus, now walking back and forth, his eyes fixed at the floor. "First I was merely having fun, then Potter appears, I fuck him and he ends up having my child! I risk my neck to save him only to find he's missing not just because Voldemort want him dead but because of what I have that my son might have."
"Draco relax," the headmaster, said, standing up from his chair behind the desk, "Screaming your problems won't solve matters."
The blonde glared at the older wizard now, walking over to his desk and slamming his fist on it."I was just a mere fucking servant for him because I had nothing else to do in my life! And now the one that wants me dead so bad, is the one that kept me under his wings , serving him and waiting for a chance to strike my back! How do you want me to relax! My son now is paying the price that my father had to pay for me!" He turned over to his father, still on his knees, Rikku at his side, watching his commotion with a shocked expression, "If I fucking knew this sooner, I wouldn't have been so reckless to leave things flow without precautions!"
"What if you became like me?" Lucius replied standing up with the help of Rikku, "Removing the seals by yourself is suicidal enough!"
Draco walked over his father, grabbing him from the edge on his turtle like neck shirt, dragging him back and slammed against the wall of the sleeping portraits by his elbow. The skinny older wizard yelped in pain, as his eye watered. "I'm suicidal enough now!" Draco retored, "I hate wasting time while you guys talk, like no shit is going on. Talking about what I have with fear. What am I now? A Demon?!"
Lucius hand reached over and gripped Draco's wrist, challenging his son, still wincing slightly at the sudden force the blonde showed. "Do you want to find out?"
"Lucius NO!" Dumbledore and Rikku exclaimed at the same time. There were three quick click sounds, like a metal click of a trunk being open. Everyone froze at the sound, including Draco.
Soon in seconds, like an explosion, the young blonde was covered in rageous red flaming aura, as the wooden edges of the portraits and cabinets cracked. Draco let go of his father, stepping back, his hand reaching over his head. A struggling ripping scream came from his lips, his nails digging ferociously into his skull, drops of blood staining his blonde locks.
"LUCIUS!" Rikku exclaimed angrily at the blonde, "Pressed them back!"
Lucius looked from Severus's terrifying face, holding his wand tightly in front of him, looking at his ex student, from Dumbledore, halfway passing by his desk, watching the the younger Malfoy with widened blue eyes and finally to his son now falling to his knees, shaking his head furiously.
"This is the glimpse of what you have inside," he said, approaching his son. Draco looked up gritting his teeth and glaring at his father. "Be sure to remember it." He pushed Draco with a brute force almost flat on his back, forcing his hands at his sides.
Three of Lucius's right hand finger glowed, and as he kneeled, he pressed them against Draco's stomach. Draco gagged, as the aura diminished and he slumped flat to the floor breathing heavily. "I'm sorry," Lucius whispered. " I wanted you to realized the grave danger."
Rikku pushed Lucius away from the other blonde angrily."How dare you play with this!"Rikku said, her fists to her sides shaking furiously. "After all the attempts father did to keep those seals intact-"
"It's perfectly safe," Lucius said facing the Al bhed blonde, "I know the arts-"
"I don't care if you to," she retored, " You could be a fucking master at it. It's still dangerous to play with! What if the seals didn't work back on? You could have jeopardize Draco and the children's life here!"
Lucius's lips twitched nerviously, "You're overreacting to this and underestimating my abilities, Rikku."
"You said yourself a Jinkyubi hasn't been seen in a very long time and it could control the host," Severus said placing his wand back to his pocket. " She is not overreacting after that. She's being caution."
Draco, who was now sitting up looking at his hands asked, "Can it really be controlled?"
Lucius drew a sharp breath and shook his head vigorously, "No no no! Don't you even dare!" he added at Draco's thoughful gaze on his stomach now.
"What better than to fight with the sword he wants?" Draco asked, now standing up facing his father.
Lucius continue to shake his head, " It's delusional Draco. I wont let you do the mistakes I did."
"You are a Chunkyubi and did your shit and you had me sealed. Im a Jinkyubi and I surely didn't had my son sealed. Im desperate enough to do something drastic here. That baby is in danger and I need to do something about it. Its bad enough how it is now!"
" Draco those were only three seals off," Lucius said massaing this temple with the tip of his fingers, "There are nine seals. Im not even sure you can survive them."
"Tell me then," Draco said crossing his arms, " Is there's any chance my son is alive now? Without seals?"
"He is," Lucius said almost confident, "He is Potter's son too. The Potters were natural sealers centuries back. Their blood alone can supress enough to keep the baby at bay. That could explain why Voldemort hasn't come showering the world down on us."
"So there is a chance Voldemort has the baby?" Rikku asked, " And Potter alive?"
Lucius was about to answer when a low rumble shook the entire office. It grew like a stampede passing closer and closer. Severus gasped at the commotion.
"What is that?" Draco asked, looking at Dumbledore.
The old man's blue eye darkened, his hand now close to his wand pocket, walking down to the entrance of his office with a quick stride. He opened the door, a loud Trumplet sound came from the corridor. He looked back at the group, his wand now at his hand.
"Hogwarts has been breached."
