Chapter 14.
*Fairy Tail guild*
˝Brats you're alive!˝- Master Makarov yelled when the group stood at the entrance. Every one in the guild shut up and awed. They had survived.
˝Did you think we couldn't make it Gramps?˝- Laxus's voice rumbled like thunder. Mirajane came rushing and hugged Freed. The rune mage blushed and hid in her embrace. Elfman followed his sisters lead and scooped Eve up.
˝LIKE A REAL MAN!˝- he yelled obviously proud.
˝I am not a MAN ELFAMAN!˝- she retorted and hit him but grinned. The couples slowly formed and went to the rest to cheer, eat and relax.
˝Erza I want a detailed overview but before that...˝- Master Makarov stopped and looked at each one of his guild members ˝IT IS TIME TO PARTY!˝
Everyone cheered and started preparing for the party that would surely last all night long.
*Thorianna's POV*
˝Hey Bixlow?˝ - I turned to the seith mage who grinned at me. ˝Why is Laxus mad?˝
˝Uhu˝- he suddenly looked uncormftalble. ˝Are you hungry? Thirsty?˝
˝Don't change the topic, tell me˝
He nervously shifted on his feet and even his tiki dolls loomed dangerously low. What didn't he want to tell me?
I felt something warm and furry on my legs and saw Pepe, beaten up. My eyes went wide and picked him up
˝Pepe! What happened? Who did this to you?˝
˝Happy..isn't that happy uh..about Carla˝
˝You perverted Exceed, what did you do?˝
˝I just..wanted to hug her!˝- he pouted and his left swollen eyes blinked with tears. The poor guy, why doesn't she just hug him?
˝Let's go eat something, okay?˝ -I hugged my cat close and he cuddled in my arms. ˝I've missed you Ria and damnit you worried me! Don't do stuff like this! You have people behind you, nakama even! Hell I am saying this so listen to me˝ - he puffed and I laughed.
˝Yeah I guess you're right˝
*later that evening*
The whole guild was drinking, dancing and having a good time. Mirajane and all the girls who could cook made a feast, Kana and Makao prepared the booze while the rest cleaned. Not that it would matter once the party was over.
˝Hey Natsu stop that!˝- Lucy shouted after said Dragon slayer picked her up and started spinning with her in his arms. She was screaming and laughing alongside the other Dragonslayer pair, Gajeel and Wendy snickered as their shared a small kiss.
Mirajane was trying to coax Freed to dance but the rune mage shook his head so hard it almost fell off. On the other side Eve was waltzing with Elfman and grinned broadly. The alcohol she drank loosened her up and both were acting like giggling teenagers.
And I was stuck here, between Laxus and Bixlow.
Who were drinking. Heavily.
I sighed for the thousand time and checked on Pepe. The purple cat didn't even flinch when Carla turned him down to dance. He'd been trying to get a dance since this party started. Even Lily and Happy (and that says something) were cheering for him.
At least someone is having fun..unlike these two.
˝Give up Laxus while you can!˝- Bixlow yelled in my ear and lolled his tongue quite drunkenly. His babies shouted after him and floated around Laxus's hair ˝GIVE UP GIVE UP GIVE UP˝
˝Shoo you damn flies! Bixlow you had more than me stop harassing the girl here. Isn't that right Riia?˝ - he purred my name and I rolled my eyes. Seriously if I knew what I'd start...
*FLASHBACK*
˝Why do you keep a visor on?˝- I asked Bixlow. I saw seated between him and Laxus because the rest were well couples and I felt weird. At least those two were normal. Right?
˝I have eyes that must be concealed so ladies don't fall around me, I am dashing after all˝- he grinned and I looked at him. Right.
˝You mean because they have nightmares?˝- Laxus added and sipped his sake. I laughed at the joke and Bixlow seemed furious.
˝Oh really? At least I don't toast my chicks˝
˝Hey she wanted it fiery ahah˝
˝Um I don't even wanna know. I'm going for another drink˝- as I said Makao appeared.
˝The booze angel is here!˝ - he cried and poured me some more ˝For our new hero!˝ - he went of giggling and I just stared there stunned.
˝Your parties are something˝ - Laxus laughed
˝And us?˝- he leaned and gave me a heated stare
˝Fascinating˝- I said without flinching and watched as his broad smile faltered a bit.
˝hahaha see Laxie, she likes me more!˝- Bixlow jumped at the opportunity and pulled me to his side. I was nested under his arms as thunder rolled. Laxus was not a happy camper.
˝Okay stop it you two. Just have a drink and relax, okay?˝- I tried to ease the situation.
˝Phew watch over goldie there..˝ - Bixlow retorted and Laxus almost jumped him. I was tired and thought I had the perfect idea.
˝Just drink it out. Who drinks more is I don't know˝
˝You like them better!˝ - Laxus said with a grin.
˝Um...sure?˝
*end flashback*
And here we were, them having a drinking contest and I couldn't leave. Why did I have to be between them? They could have done this without me. Maybe even drink until they forget it was my stupid idea?
˝You know what Laxus, let's fight this out. I'm sick of staring at your stupid face goldie!˝- Bixlow drunkenly yelled. The whole guild stilled and waited for the Thunder god to respond. Laxus merely laughed ˝You're on doll lover˝
They took their stance in the middle of the room and I cursed myself for the stupid idea. I've just given them fuel! Argh!
Who should I cheer?
Wait. I shouldn't even think about it! I.. Bixlow approached me and grinned. ˝Don't worry Ria this will be over soon, cmon smile!˝
"Hey, doll freak! freak!" Laxus shouted as lightning projected itself towards Bixlow and me. In his enraged state, Laxus lost some of his control, which was enough for Bixlow. He evaded the attack with a smile and retorted: "Away from you, blunder god! You wouldn't know how to treat a lady properly, so go play with your lightning rod!"
"Babies, show this fool what we can really do!" The dolls flew off to battle. Even though Bixlow respected Laxus a great deal, he wouldn't let him take Thorianna away.
The dolls blasted away at Laxus with full force, but he held his own, and made sure they pay for any hit they landed. He lashed out in a wide arc, trying to put distance between himself and the flying menace that were the dolls.
"Your little toys are amusing, but it's time to put an end to this nonsense! Resounding through the air, the roar of thunder, plunge from the heavens and reap destruction!" With his last word a lightning bolt slammed into one of the tikis, vaporizing it instantly. Laxus then proceeded to transform into pure lightning, rending through the air and finally striking into another tiki, leaping between them in an arc of lightning, tearing through them until only two were left, badly beaten and smouldering.
"Oh my friend", Bixlow uttered laughing maniacally, "by all means destroy them all you wish, there are plenty more just for you!" As from thin air, the three lost tikis reappeared at each side of Laxus and started pummeling him. Laxus landed blow after blow but the dolls kept reappearing. Then he felt his hands falter and made the mistake of turning his head to him. He knew what Bixlow did.
"Bixlow, you bastard! Release me!"- Bixlow had released his Figure eyes and was laughing.
˝Now my dear thunder god DANCE!˝ - he yelled and his eyes shone bright green.
Laxus started a chicken dance and followed by the robot dance. The whole guild roared with laughter along with Bixlow.
*Thorianna's POV*
He made him dance. He didn't hurt him just embarrassed him. I turned to him and watched as he laughed his ass off.
˝Bixlow you never intended to hurt him?˝
˝Noup, I just wanted to trick him. He's taking things to serious. I don't like it that you spend time but I can't make you like me unless you really like me˝- he replied and shrugged.
˝Umm I didn't think you'd say something like that. ˝
˝Too mature?˝
˝Aha˝
˝HEY!˝ - he protested and pouted. With his messy blue hair and pout he looked...adorable. I smiled to myself and gave him a peck on the cheek. He stood there stupefied.
˝What?˝
˝C'mon baby light my fire...C'mon baby light my tiki doll!˝- he sang in a falsetto and lolled his tongue out. I laughed alongside the whole guild at his antics.
Maybe I've found home finally, a loud, messy and weird home but definitely home.
