Chapter 14

"Mistletoe. You can smell the poison on her breath and it coming from her body." Finn said to his siblings. "It was mother's favorite to use." He added on.

Klaus growled as soon as Esther was mentioned. "Of course she would have done this. But how could she have found out? Finn do you have anything to share?"

Elijah stayed silent as he watched his two siblings, his eyes flickered to Kol and Rebekah who where tending to Bonnie. Klaus had already pinned Finn to the wall trying to get to him to fess up to something that he didn't do. "Niklaus that is enough. Finn did not go to Esther."

Klaus spun around and faced Elijah, a dark look on his face. "Then do tell brother how did mother find out about my deal with Bonnie?"

"Niklaus have you forgotten that witches talk even from the dead, I am sure one of mother's spies told her."

Klaus only growled again before they all heard Bonnie mumbled something. Stepping closer they all listened to her. "Nik, stop. Finn didn't do it. He wouldn't." She breathed out as she slowly opened her eyes and looked at the hybrid. Klaus moved towards her, sitting on the edge of her bed, his hands cradling her head. "But who did this love?"

"They have been hiding me. My family, since the deal has been made. No one on the dead told her." Bonnie started to cough as she did so blood was spotted on her hand. "That's not good."

"Get some rest love, I won't be going anywhere. I promise." Klaus said as he leaned down and kissed her forehead. Nodding her head she closed her eyes.

As day broke they all had something to do. All wanting to save Bonnie from dying of the poison their mother have given Bonnie. Kol and Rebekah was going into town and find out who could have told, Elijah was going to find a witch to reverse the spell and save Bonnie, Finn was going to look up more information on the poison and how to cure it if they couldn't find a witch to help them. Klaus lay beside Bonnie, brushing her bangs from her forehead.

"I promise you Bonnie, I will save you. I won't let you die." He whispered down to her.

Elijah has been busy calling every witch that he knows but none of them could help him with the mistletoe poison. Pacing the reading room he did not know what to do next, he was at a standstill. Finn had walked in and saw the state of his younger brother. Elijah saw the look on Finns face and answered before he could speak. "None of the witches I know will help us."

Nodding his head, Finn was in the same dilemma. None of the books he read could help them, at the rate they were going Bonnie would not be living much longer. An idea came to him so he did something that was wrong but had to be done, grabbing Bonnie's bag he went through her contacts on her phone.

"Finn what are you doing?" Elijah said shocked at his brothers actions.

Finn was looking at the contacts and paused on one contact. Pressing connect the phone started to ring. It didn't take long for the person he was calling to answer.

"Hey cuz, what seems to be the problem?" A feminine voice rung through the phone.

"I am sorry to inform you that this is not Bonnie Bennett, I was wondering if I could have a word with you?" Finn spoke carefully though the phone.

"Who the hell are you, you sick bastard and what the hell have you done to my cousin?"

"Now, no need for such language. My name is Finn Mikaelson, I am sure you have heard of my siblings; Elijah, Rebekah, Kol or Niklaus. Bonnie is a friend of ours now since some incidents in Mystic Falls have made her see the light and come to us for help. But it seems that another witch has poisoned her."

"I am on my way now." The voice said before hanging up. Finn placed the phone back down on the table and looked at Elijah. "We have some company coming over."

All the originals besides Klaus were sitting in the reading room when the doorbell rang. Knowing who it was Finn got up and answered the door. "Thank you for coming on such short notice." He said gesturing the woman inside to where the others were at. "I'm Finn, we spoke on the phone. That's my brother Elijah, my sister Rebekah and the youngest Kol." He said as he pointed out each of his siblings.

The woman looked around and was impressed by her cousin for making such powerful friends. "Probably wondering who I am; I'm Lucy, Lucy Bennett. I am Bonnie cousin from Pauline side of the family. Not as strong as Bonnie but powerful enough. Kol Mikaelson, finally got to meet the face who protected my side of the family many years ago. Stories have been told about you."

Rebekah spoke up before anyone could say anything. "Why haven't we heard about you? There could be a reason why Bonnie never spoke of you."

Lucy looked at the blond original straight on. "There could be. But the reason is that I told Bonnie I wanted no business of the mess here in Mystic Falls. She was in over her head when I met her and she was working with the Salvatore's trying to defeat Katherine. Gave her some advice and not to be like me, I have more vampires on my ass than I would like, left me in the need of protection from the wolves."

Eljiah tilted his head. "When was the last time you have heard from Bonnie?"

Lucy had to think about that for a moment. "She was looking for Abby; I told her it was a waste of time. Abby cut off ties to the whole family and obviously didn't want to be found or have any contact with her daughter."

Elijah decided he better fill Lucy in on everything that has happened. From Bonnie finding Abby to the deal that Bonnie and Klaus made, he made sure to cover everything and not to leave a detail out. If he had forgotten something one of the other siblings filled in the missing information. At the end of the talk, Lucy had to sit down taking a drink of whiskey that Kol offered her. "I knew she would get herself into this trouble. Honestly I am surprised the Salvatore's haven't killed her yet. I have been waiting for that phone call from Rudy."

The siblings all looked at her confused at the name and she could only laugh at their reaction faces. "That's her father. He is busier than anyone else I have heard about. Never met the man, but heard about him from my mother who hated him and Abby. Story I got that when Abby disappeared he threw himself into work, refusing to take care of his baby girl. So Shelia stepped up and took care of Bonnie."

"Why where you working for Katerina?" A voice asked from the doorway, everyone turned their heads and found Klaus standing there with his arms crossed over his chest. "Where you one of the many witches who hid her from me?"

Lucy shook her head. "I owed Katherine, back in my early twenties I got myself in a bad situation where some vampires wanted to use me, basically chain me down and use me none stop to defeat and I quote 'the originals' they where some of your haters to say. Short story she saved my ass, so I owed her. She didn't cash in until the night of the Founder's Masquerade Dance they had here, said that there was another witch and needed my help in getting the moonstone that the Salvatore Brothers had. So I came; I had bumped into Bonnie by accident but I didn't know who she was until that moment. Later that evening I saved Katherine's ass and got the moonstone. But I gave her a slight headache when I confronted her about not telling me about Bonnie. Knocked her out and let the gang here have her and the moonstone. From there the rest you know."

Rebekah looked at her brother, Klaus. "How is she?"

Klaus only shook his head. "Doing worse than this morning. She has been able to keep water down but it is a struggle. I have been giving her my blood to help in the slightest."

Lucy stood up and walked towards Klaus. "Let me see her."

Not saying a word he turned around and walked back upstairs, knowing Lucy would follow him. Walking down the hallways he walked into the bedroom that was besides his. Lucy covered her mouth to stop the gasp from leaving her lips. The bed sheets had spots of blood littered across them, Bonnie was lying in the bed but you can see she was having difficulty breathing. Lucy walked towards her cousin and grabbed her hand, sending her some magically strength. Looking back at Klaus, "I'll help save my cousin but I owe nothing to you or your siblings this is for Bonnie."

Rebekah was set on finding out who had told her mother about Bonnie. She was alone in the Grill, needing to get out of the house. She was sitting at one of the tables when she felt someone's presences beside her; looking in the direction she found Elena and Caroline at the table. "What is it?"

"Where's Bonnie?" Caroline spoke.

Rebekah huffed. "If you must know she is lying on her deathbed as we speak."

"What did you do to her?!" Elena tried to order the original.

"We did nothing, my mother poisoned her. Someone told her about the kiss, the connection. You two would not know anything about that would you?"

Both girls paled out and looked at one another. "Could we see her?" Caroline asked.

Rebekah shook her head. "No, we have someone working on curing her and we don't need you two around. Find out who did this and maybe I will talk to my brother into letting you girls see her."

Unaware to Rebekah there was someone listening as she spoke to the two girls.
