Greetings fellow readers!
Here's another exciting chapter for "Dark's Light".
So last chapter Dark finally learned of Fallon's genetics and became her mate. Dark in this chapter will be conversing with his beloved through Italics hope it's funny!
Part 2 will be out tomorrow if my wifi doesn't act dumb!
Fallon's POV
Another week passed since Dark and I finally became mates. I never understood what it was like to have a mate until I marked Dark. Through the bond I felt his enormous amount of love for me and I sent that same love back to him. Daisuke and I seemed to have gotten closer after he showed me he was Dark's tamer. The only thing my other half was still having problems with was adjusting with was our communication through telepathy. While my thoughts were quiet Dark's were not and I even heard some thoughts that were downright rated PG-13, who knew Dark also had a naughty side. Now I was on my way to a tropical island along with the rest of my class. For six days and five nights we would be staying at this cool resort the only thing that sucked was everyone had to study. Azumano Middle always did this trip before the new eighth graders returned to school.
"Hey pack mate" I greeted Dai as I came beside him.
"Hey Fal" the red head said back to me cheerfully. Daisuke I noticed suddenly blushed which got my attention.
"What is my baka mate up to now?" I whispered to Dai. In my mind I heard Dark scold me.
I'm not a baka Fallon!
Then don't put perverted thoughts to make Dai blush love.
I replied back to Dark who only huffed before going silent again.
"We're you communicating with him just now?" Daisuke inquired when he noticed I wasn't talking much. I nodded and answered.
"I just hope the way we've been communicating isn't hurting your head" I joked. Daisuke laughed and shook his head.
"No to be honest I can't hear Dark's thoughts when he converses with you Fal however I'm glad you two are finally together" when Dai said that I blushed.
"I envy you two" Satoshi's voice said from next to me. Both Daisuke and I turned to him to understand what he meant.
"The two of you are always so innocent and brilliant to look upon" when Satoshi said that he left us confused.
What did Hiwatari want? Dark asked.
No idea. I replied back to him. I suddenly noticed Risa along with two of her friends were trying to get Takashi to do something which was obvious he didn't want to do.
"It's just stupid no way!" the reporter protested. Smirking I left Dai and approached Takashi along with Risa and her friends.
"You probably want to be chasing Mio around" I taunted Takashi.
"FALLON!" Takashi whined as he turned around giving me a mean look, I flashed him my death look which got him to back away nervously.
"Fallon why don't you take the picture for us?" Risa suggested.
"Sure" I happily agreed taking the camera from the younger Harada sister. Risa then headed towards the front of the boat before she could enter the forbidden part on the bow Mr. Casada caught her.
"Stop! No playing Titanic you got that!"
"That's not fair we just want a picture" Risa said to Drill Sergeant. One of Risa's friends asked Mr. Casada to pose for their picture which got him to chuckle but politely decline.
"Oh sweet!" I exclaimed as the island finally came to view, Daisuke also got excited at the sight of it. A few minutes later the boat docked and everyone got their luggage. The hotel we were staying at was right on the beach. Before everyone went up to their rooms Ms. Casada explained that the boys had the first floor while the girls had the second. Drill Sergeant also told me I would have a room to myself which got me excited, the girl who I was going to be sharing my room with couldn't make the trip.
"Oh man this is awesome!" I exclaimed to myself as I entered my room. The room was pretty it had the usual set up, a bathroom, two beds, a big television, etc. I threw my suitcase on the bed closest to the balcony. I opened the sliding glass door and went outside, this place really was beautiful.
Not as beautiful as you. I blushed at Dark's compliment.
"Fallon you are so lucky!" Risa whined, I turned around as she and Riku came into my room.
"Aww come on Risa rooming with me isn't that bad" Riku said teasing her sister. Risa rolled her eyes and turned to me. "We have free time till five and we were going to go swimming wanna join?"
"Heck ya!" I said in excitement. I walked past Risa to open my suitcase, my face suddenly turned pale when I noticed one of bathing suits was a bikini. Damn it Mom! I growled in my mind. The bikini was emerald green and to top it off she got matching sandals.
"Fallon you so have to put that on!" Risa said nodding at the bikini. I suddenly turned blood red, and shook my head no.
On the Beach
"I feel so exposed in this thing" I growled as I walked towards the beach in the bikini.
"Fallon am I seeing things or are you seriously wearing a bikini?" Daisuke asked with a grin on his face.
"Shut it Dai" I growled at him. Dai chuckled before he went back to watching Takashi taking pictures of Mio. Mio looked cute in her indigo bikini which had a yellow crown design on the left side of it. She noticed Daisuke and I flashed Daisuke a teasing look as she came up to us.
"Here!" she said holding her umbrella out to Dai. "Would you please open this for me I thought we could share it nice bathing suit Fallon you look cute" Mio said to me, I blushed and gave her a thanks look before Dai took the umbrella. The red head put the umbrella in the sand and opened it I did an anime fall when I saw the umbrella had Daisuke's name next to a heart along with Mio's.
"Whoa Fallon you look nice" Takashi said finally realizing I was there. I flashed him a shut up look or else I would beat him up. Takashi then noticed Daisuke was sitting down with Mio and it made him mad. Daisuke protested as Takashi grabbed him, I watched in amusement as Takashi starting to build sand onto Dai.
"You're not helping Fallon!" Dai whined, Mio then used that chance to throw her hat towards the ocean. A second later Takashi went to retrieve said item like a love sick dog.
It's a good thing I'm not attached to you at the hip. I told Dark through our bond.
Would that be a bad thing? Besides you do look cute in that bikini.
SHUT UP MATE! I scolded my laughing other half. Satoshi suddenly walked towards us, and I felt my face turn red. He was of course in his swim wear; he still wore a shirt on. He wore sunglasses underneath the hood of his shirt. Takashi shouted at Mio who stood up to retrieve her hat from him. Satoshi then bent down and began to brush the sand off of Dai.
"You two might want to be careful around Ms. Hio"
"She is a little different" Daisuke agreed. Laughing was heard and coming towards us was Risa, Riku, and their two friends.
"Hey guys what are you doing here all alone?" Risa teased finally taking notice of us.
"Fallon are you trying to get some alone time with Hiwatari?" at that comment I turned blood red and shook my head.
"We're just friends Risa!" I argued.
"Are we Fallon?" Satoshi inquired seductively. I knew he was just joking, however that didn't stop me from sending him a don't you dare look. I used that chance to finally go swimming. I left behind an embarrassed Daisuke and dove into the ocean water. As I said before I am a very good swimmer and a fast one too due to my vampire side.
Do vampires really swim fast? Dark asked.
Oh yes. I replied back to him in my mind.
Sunset
Damn it I really wished I didn't stay out in the sun too long. I thought in my mind as I hunted through some of the woods on the island. I needed blood and human food right now sounded gross. I caught the scent of a deer and phased into my wolf form. A few seconds and a crash later I stood over my kill, I returned to my human form and sank my fangs into the deer throat.
"Feeding time?" Dark's voice called to me. Immediately I perked my head up from the deer and saw my mate leaning against a tree in the black outfit with his arms across his chest smirking.
"What are you doing out here!" I scolded my other half.
"Daisuke thought he wanted to give us some alone time besides he'll keep an ear out if anybody comes" Dark explained as he walked up to me, he bent down next to the dead deer.
"So you really do drink the blood from animals" I nodded. I stroked the deer's face.
"This one was near the end of its life anyway I try to kill animals that are dying, sick, or in pain" I then returned to satisfying my thirst while Dark watched, his face didn't show disgust only interest. Once I felt satisfied I wiped off my mouth with my arm to clean the blood off my lips before I phased into my wolf form. I looked to Dark.
Let's go watch the sunset without being spotted.
Whatever my mate wishes. Dark teased. I let my love find a place so where we could watch the sunset. We found a place over a cliff and it was secluded. Dark sat down on the grass while I lay down next to him in my wolf form.
"Come here" Dark said which got me to perk my head up. He gestured for me to sit in his lap which I at first wasn't nuts about. But with his reassuring I obeyed and put my silver wolf form into it. Dark buried his head into my neck and sighed. I didn't need to say anything to feel what he was feeling now. The two of us watched as the sun continued to set before it was time to return to the hotel.
Later that Night
I was out on the balcony working on that drawing for Dark when I heard Mr. Casada fussing at someone. I stood up from my chair and peeked over the edge, below Ms. Casada was scolding at Takashi who had a camera pointed at Mio's room which was next to mine. I saw Daisuke who saw looking I flashed him a smirk which got him to sigh.
Blood hell I'm tired.
Well you should be I mean you did bring down an animal bigger than you. Dark reminded me.
Hey shouldn't you be asleep dork?
I'm not a dork my little fire I'm your mate.
Little fire?
Consider that a nickname when you get mad you get all feisty.
I actually can control the fire element vamps even hybrids can get a gift cool huh?
As long as I don't get burned. Dark joked and I couldn't help but snicker.
The Next Day
Get up love! I heard Dark said in my mind. I growled as I looked at the time on my phone sure enough if I didn't get up I would miss breakfast. After breakfast was the nature hike and Dai, Risa, and Riku asked if I wanted to join them which I accepted.
"Hiya Fallon!" Mio greeted me as I ate an egg sandwich.
"Hey you're all perky" I greeted the valley girl accented American.
"I sure am by the way you and Hiwatari do look cute together"
"Oh no not you too!" I whined as I felt my face turn red. Mio patted my shoulder as she sat next to me.
"Just teasing Fallon, but you two would seriously look good together"
I'm still not amused at Hiwatari's joke yesterday. Dark said in my mind.
After breakfast Mio and I went our separate ways, I returned to my room to change into hiking clothes which was uniformed yuck!
I met up with Dai, Takashi, Riku and Risa at the entrance with my hiking gear on my back. To everybody's displeasure Takashi ditched us to spy on Mio. I liked hiking it felt natural to me because it reminded me of running in my wolf form. Risa whined and sat down for a quick second, Dai offered to take her bag before we all continued hiking again. We all took another break fifteen minutes later so we could admire the waterfall. The scent of the water smelled good I was glad I had a good sense of smell.
"Should we get going?" Dai inquired as he stood up. Risa shook her head and said.
"I don't feel like walking anymore I'll wait for you guys"
"Risa don't be so selfish" Riku told her sister.
"I'm not! I'm tired my legs hurt and it's cooler here" Risa said back to Riku who suddenly gave her sister a teasing look.
"What about the wild dogs?"
"I'll beat them up duh!" Risa replied putting her arms in a Kung Fu position.
"Well if you sure where is the cave?" Dai asked.
"We're getting close" I answered Daisuke. The three of us then left Risa to rest while we walked ahead of us to look for the cave.
"Where is it?" Dai said looking at his map.
"Right here you two" Riku said pushing some bushes apart. "You think they would maintain this place"
The three of us crawled into the cave I sensed Dai was a little nervous but Riku got him to shape up. We came to a dead end, I suddenly found a crawlspace and I went into it. Riku followed behind me, while Dai suddenly protested.
"Oh sweet Daisuke get in here!" I shouted to my best friend.
"Coming!" Dai called I heard him hit his head, which got me and Riku to giggle.
"Turn off the light" Riku said to Dai once he found us. Dai did as she asked and walked up beside Riku.
In front of us was a beautiful light show that was emitted from the many insects and what not in the cave, the lights that were given off reminded me of the Milky Way I saw last night. It was like a small universe in one place.
"Let's go get Risa and show her this" I suggested which Riku and Dai thought was a good idea. As we left the cave I heard Risa yelling for us.
"Guys didn't you just hear Risa?" I inquired once we came out of the cave.
"I sure did" Riku replied nodding.
"I don't hear anything" Dai said. As Riku started to walk forward the earth broke beneath her feet, ignoring Daisuke's cries I jumped off the small cliff to run after Riku.
"FALLON! MS. HARADA!" Dai yelled.
