A/N: So I may or may not be typing this chapter in the middle of programming but programming is so fucking boring man… seriously… this class… I have zero idea of what the profs talking about so the point in paying attention is pretty moot. Therefore I'm going to do something actually useful and type fanfiction for you guys.

Disclaimer: If I owned Devil May Cry I would not and I mean seriously would not be sitting in a gorram programming class…

Name Calling and Uncles

Nero sighed as he walked back into the room, shaking his head as he snapped his phone shut.

"What's up?" Tucker asked from the bed

"We got most of the questions figured out if that makes you feel any better." Sam commented from where she now sat at the computer.

"Not really," the demonic teen sighed "where's Danny?"

"Working on the hellish thing known as history." Came a voice from the ceiling and Nero's head shot up to see Danny, in human form again, floating overhead, homework pressed against the roof in order to write on it.

"That's freaky…" Nero muttered, shaking his head once again and shooing Tucker over enough so he could plop down on the bed.

"So is having an arm that glows continuously." The ghostly teen responded from above them. "What'd you uncle say?" the partial devil hung his head

"He said he's coming here… now he's gonna try and take part of my pay…" the taller teen groaned, flopping back and putting his human arm over his face.

"How much are you getting paid?" "Eh, decent for a research mission, but I'm trying to save up money so that Kyrie and I can move here, Fortuna's not the place for us, never has been the right place for me and she doesn't want me to be ostracized, not to mention there's not much work there anymore."

"Wait," said Sam, all but forgetting that the demonic teen hadn't actually answered the question "you said Fortuna, you mean the Fortuna? That cultist society that lives on that island." Nero winced slightly at her words, he was very well aware of what the rest of the world thought of his birth country but that didn't make it any less painful when it was mentioned. "Sorry…" she added afterward, looking away from him.

"I think I've heard of that place before…" Danny muttered from the ceiling "Wasn't it hit by a really bad earthquake awhile back?" Nero rubbed at his nose, slightly hesitant to reveal the truth of what had happened that day.

"Actually…. No… and Sam you're pretty right in calling us a cultist society. The religion of the island believes that Sparda was some sort of god and well, the head of The Order of the Sword tried to resurrect the Savior, to resurrect Sparda, and in order to do so attempted to sacrifice both myself and my girlfriend in order to create the Savior, between Dante and myself we put a stop to it but the city paid heavily for our battles…"

"That's messed up…" Tucker muttered with raised brows.

"Yeah well… enough about my history, what about yours? Cause honestly, just cause I work for Lancer is not enough to get me off the hook with homework."

-Fun and Games-

It was a couple of days later when Dante showed up, Danny and Nero had already informed the Fentons that Nero's American uncle was going to show up to visit his nephew while he was in the states. So after the friendly greetings and idle chit chat Nero was finally able to speak with Dante alone.

"So kid, you finally admit that you need help?"

"Shut up jackass. This is a situation that I've never run into before, can't you take anything seriously?"

"Nope and you are pretty well aware of that kid."

"I'm not a kid Dante, this is why you don't have a girlfriend." Dante chuckled and shook his head then sighed and leaned back on the couch, crossing one leg over the other.

"The only other halfbreeds that I know are you and Vergil and he's not in the picture anymore… We're not awfully common, any others that I've heard of are either just hearsay or legend. Or dead. Speaking of which, where's the little halfbreed?"

"I'm not that little." Danny said from the doorway, Nero had grown accustomed to Danny's aura and felt him coming but Dante, who had to have been overwhelmed by the sheer amount of ghostly presences in the town, couldn't yet tell them apart and jumped suddenly, Ivory appearing from thin air and the safety was clicked back and ready to fire in a fraction of a second. He let his breath out when he registered that Danny wasn't a threat though the half ghost's eyes had started to take on an other-worldly glow at the threat. Nero simply snorted and rolled his eyes.

"Sorry kid, you scared me, not much can surprise me."

"Not hard to sneak up on people when you forget to breathe sometimes." Danny shrugged

"So you're half ghost, does that mean you're half dead?" Dante stood, Ivory disappearing once more into the pocket in space that Dante seemed to know the knack of hiding things in.

"Does you being half demon mean that you're a douche-y narcissistic ass?" Nero huffed, feeling that Dante had crossed a line that he shouldn't have. "Oh wait, you already were one." Danny snickered but waved Nero off before sighing.

"I do suppose that I am. It certainly felt like I was dying at that time…" the ghostly teen said, shaking his head.

"What happened?" Dante asked, all serious now

"There's a portal to the Ghost Zone in my basement, I don't know if you can feel it, I certainly can… Anyway, it didn't work at first and my friend Sam convinced me to take a look inside of it and it… it turned on while I was inside…"

A/N: So I know I have no excuse for not posting lately, still trying to get a handle on life, engineering's hard guys… It's fun but damn is it difficult, either way, I'll keep doing what I'm good at and let the words out.

Till next time,
