There was a knock at the door before Tama-kun entered. I sat up, ignoring the shots of pain throughout my body, as he sat next to me on the bed. Before saying anything, he pulled me into an embrace. I felt safe . . .

"Are you . . . okay?" he asked in a much too gentle tone, as if speaking above a certain volume would hurt me.

" 'Yeah' is what I want to say, but I'd be lying. Sorry for making you worry." I looked into his eyes with regret; I regretted so many things, and of all, it was because I am lacking.

He let go and ruffled my hair. His bright smile came out.

"Don't worry about it."

Tears started to come out. I hugged Tama-kun. It was a little too hard, for we are both laying down with our arms around each other. Mine was around his neck; his was around my waist.

"How can you tell me not to worry about it? I've been nothing but a hindrance to you all." My voice cracked with sobs.

"Haruka," he called, making me freeze, "you were never a hindrance. It's only right for friends to worry about each other."

My tears stopped once the words sunk in. I giggled.

"No matter how much of an idiot you really are, I would consider dating you if it wasn't for the fact that I'm a male." Actually, I didn't care about gender, but I'm not going to tell him that.

I suddenly became serious.

"I want to tell you about my clan." I started to tell him the meaning behind our name. "The reason why our name is 'Hatsu' is because we have abilities. We have eight special powers and eight things to fear. You have seen two of them. One of our weaknesses is the ocean. When our eyes change colors, as you already know, happens when we're too emotional. Even though it seems like a weakness, it is also considered as a strength because it tells us if something has happened to someone else in our clan. It can be to our disadvantage if an enemy saw, but if the enemy doesn't know the meaning behind our eyes, they would fear us.

"Mori-senpai and Honey-senpai have seen more, where I had fangs and all. That is a strength to fear. We can manipulate our bodies. They also saw Luna heal wounds in minutes. If the wounds are too deep, though, it would shorten your lifespan. It takes minutes because generating cells is a complex thing to do."

"I don't really understand, but all I know is that even when you can be strong, you can be weak."

I kissed his cheek and snuggled up in the side of his neck. He didn't mind. His arms were still around my waist. We were both laying in bed in that position.

"You'd be a great brother."

"Is it okay to just let me be your father, instead?"

"Yeah, but just one thing: fathers don't do this with their sons."

Hello there~ I do realize that it's been such a long time since I've updated this story. I totally forgot that I didn't post chapter 14 when I had written it a while back, like a year and a half or two ago. I am so sorry. I just didn't feel like pulling out my notebook. ._.

This chapter was originally shorter, but I had to do some tweaking to it because I felt like I needed to add some things in there.

I know Haruka seemed a . . . little off (in other words, not like himself) in this chapter. I actually don't know why I did this. To be honest, when I uploaded this, like I said, I found the chapter in my notebook a long while after I wrote it. I tried to explain this before, but I didn't like how I explained it. It didn't feel right to me when I explained it before. That is why this description here looks shorter if you have read it before. I might change this chapter later as well. It doesn't sit right with me, you know? Haruka is just too out-of-character here. Sorry, guys.

Until next time, my fellow readers~^^ (I apologize in advance because I have changed the story line starting from chapter 15, which changes everything after it as well. Everything will have to be rewritten before I update again, and I currently have writer's block for this story since I have to contemplate about what needs to happen next and stuff like that.) I do not own Ouran High School Host Club. I do not own anything except my OC and story/stories.
