"Stop!" Regina demanded raising her hand. Emma was right beside her and they both got off of their horses.
"They are close" Regina whispered closing her eyes for a few seconds.
Emma walked to her and touched gently her shoulder "How do you know?" she asked in a low voice.
"Magic, Rumplestiltskin's magic is connected to mine, he taught me everything, I can recognize his magic's essence no matter how hard he tries to disguise it, and now he's not even trying" she answer still with her eyes closed, feeling the magic in the air, entering her lungs.
Robin was behind them without saying anything.
"Can you feel Pan's too?" said Emma still with her hand in Regina's shoulder, touching Regina was always a wonderful sensation, no matter the reason or the intensity of the touch.
Regina nodded "Yes, but it's harder for me to track it", she finally opened her eyes "Pan is a bastard" she said sharply "I know exactly where he took Rumple".
"Where" Robin asked at last.
"To his own castle, that little punk took Rumple to the Dark Lord's castle" she said with anger in her voice.
"How can you be so sure?" Robin asked again.
Regina looked at him for a moment "I've been in that castle many times, this path goes straight to the castle, they are there" "I know it" she finished.
Robin nodded, he wasn't angry anymore, he knew he had strange feelings towards that woman who was after all the Queen, but he couldn't explain why.
"So let's go, what are we waiting for?" he said jumping back to his horse.
Regina shook her head "No, it's almost night, this road his dangerous at day but at night... well we should camp here"
"Are you afraid of thieves?" Robin asked with a sassy smile on his face with one eyebrow up in challenge.
Emma wasn't having fun with that conversation, but Regina seemed to be.
Regina laughed "No dear, in this road thieves are our smaller problem, it's the darkness around Rumple's castle, it has many secrets." her voice sounded darker than usual and Emma thought that she didn't want to find out why.
Robin sighed and got out of the horse once more. Regina turned back on her heels but she lost her balance and tripped almost falling but two arms caught her in middle hair.
She looked back and saw Robin smiling openly to her, his arms around her waist, Regina's head was against his chest.
Emma was looking at that scene without moving, everything seemed to be in slow motion.
Regina was in shock so she was paralyzed for a while, just there in Robin's arms.
The next thing Regina saw was Emma turning around and walking away without a word.
That made Regina wake up and pushing Robin away "Emma!" she yelled, her heart almost out of her chest.
She ran after Emma letting Robin there standing.
Emma was so angry that she didn't even looked back, she was just walking away to clear her mind, Robin's presence next to Regina was driving her crazy, there was something about the way those two looked at each other that was making her crazy.
"Emma!" it was Regina's voice right behind her but she didn't look back, she kept walking but seconds later she was stuck, frozen in the air.
"Emma wait!" it was Regina, she was using magic to hold Emma.
"Let me go! Now!" Emma was furious "How dare you using magic in me?"
Regina was determined and she wasn't giving up "Just shut up and listen to me just once ok?" her voice was strong but Emma was just to mad to obey, she kept struggling against Regina's magic.
"You know that's useless right?" Regina asked with a smile.
Emma gave her a murder look "Just put me down!"
"No..." Regina said with conviction "Not until you hear what I have to say"
"I'm not in the mood Regina" Emma said harshly "Why are you here?" she shoot "You were so well in Robin's arms" the bitterness in her voice was clear.
Regina's face turned into a mist of sadness and worry "I wasn't! Don't you dare saying that!" she yelled at Emma.
Emma snapped out at last "Com'on! Do you really think I didn't saw the way he looks at you? And worst of all, the way you act so strange around him"
"It's not what you're thinking Emma..." Regina was afraid of telling Emma the all truth but she was more afraid of losing Emma if she didn't.
"So tell me what's going on Regina!" Emma yelled but without fighting anymore.
Regina sighed "If I put you down you promise to hear me and don't run away?" she asked to the blonde.
"Yes" Emma answered at last.
Regina raised her hand and the magic that was arresting Emma disappeared in that same second, Emma was on the floor again.
"It happened long time ago, when I was still young, I had married with Snow's father recently and I wasn't happy" her voice sounded sad and nostalgic "I was almost at my limit and that was when I met Tinkerbell for the first time, she was worried about me, she was the first person that was really worried about my happiness." Emma was listening very carefully to Regina's words.
Regina continued "She risk everything to help me finding what I needed most" she looked at Emma "Love, she stole pixie dust and used it to guide me to my true love, my second chance"
Emma's heart was beating faster at every word.
Regina's heart was doing the same as she continued "The pixie dust lead us to a tavern and inside it, it was my true love Tink said"
Emma was anxious and terrified, how could that be possible, she was Regina's true love wasn't she?
"Who was he?" Emma finally asked.
Regina sighed once more "The man with the lion tattoo"
That was when everything started to make sense in Emma's head, she remembered the first time they met Robin, she didn't realize it then but she saw a lion tattoo in his arm. (True love, pixie dust, soul mate) those words were echoing in Emma's head.
"So you're saying to me that he is your true love?" Emma was broken, completely lost.
Regina walked to her "NO!" she yelled horrified "You're my true love, we broke Pan's curse you remember?"
Emma was too hurt to think.
Regina grabbed her by the shoulders "You are the one I love, the one that changed me, the one that accepted all my mistakes, all my problems"
Emma's eyes were full of tears, she wanted so bad to believe in Regina's words, Emma tried to look away, she didn't want to cry in front of Regina but the brunette grabbed her chin preventing her from moving.
"Emma, please, listen to me. I love you, I don't care about pixie dust, about fate, that's not love, love is a choice, it's believe, it's what I feel every time you smile at me, every time you touch me, every time I look at those beautiful green eyes" Regina leaned in kissing Emma softly.
Emma melted with that kiss.
"Emma, my past is over, I'm not the same person I was 28 years ago, I've changed and I'm so thankful I found you and Henry, no one will change that" she was being true and her smile showed that so well.
A tear was rolling down Emma's cheek "I love you too, I'm so afraid of losing you"
Regina smiled "Then marry me"
Emma almost fell on the floor "What?"
"Marry me" Regina repeated "When this is all over, marry me" it wasn't a joke and Emma knew it.
Emma was speechless.
"Emma, dear, I asked you to marry me and if you don't answer me I think I'm going to pass out" Regina said really nervous.
Emma kissed her with such passion that Regina almost fell "Yes!" Emma finally answer.
