~Tobias POV~

"Good job Jack!" Tris shouts in encouragement, similarly to the other parents. I find it extremely cute that she loves cheering our son during his youth basketball games.

Currently, he dribbles the ball towards the other side of the court. He just successfully blocked a throw from the other team, effectively claiming the ball and narrowly dodging the other team as he passes it to his teammate, Noah.

Noah dribbles it and when he notices Jack is clear again, he passes it back. Jack takes the shot and makes it, just before time runs out. What was already a win game in their favor, he just made even better. It was a close match in the beginning, but they pretty much took over the second half.

Who would have thought such young kids would do so well?

When Jack showed interested in joining the team, I had imagined a bunch of young kids goofing around playing with a basketball, and somewhat learning the idea of how the game works.

Jack was already pretty familiar though, and has always done pretty well when we play around together at home.

However, since joining the team, not only has he seemed to improve his game even more, but his height seems to really come in handy with all these blocks.

But most importantly, he seems to really enjoy playing.

At the sound of the buzzer, everyone cheers and applauds.

Tris and I share a look, both so proud and happy for our boy.

I take her hand and she smiles widely at me. "Look how excited he is." Tris comments.

"I love that he has your smile." she adds after a moment.

Jack's team had lost their last game, and he was pretty bummed. We explained that it happens, and not to get too upset about it. It's just a game after all. But reminded him he can still try hard and try to win other games.

We don't force him to play, it was his choice, and always will be. But we want to encourage him not to give up when it gets tough. He has to work hard to succeed. Ultimately though, he should play because he wants to, and just enjoy the game, no matter the outcome. When we mentioned this, he insisted he loves it and said he wanted to continue to play, even if he loses sometimes.

But of course, it's still wonderful to see that proud grin on his cute little face, so happy to have played such a good game.

The kids all high-five each other and once dismissed by their coach, they split off to their families who had sat and watched the game.

"Great job, buddy." I tell Jack, giving him a high-five. "That was a great game."

"I know, it was so much fun!" he says before sipping from his water bottle.

"Yeah, you did great. And I love all the teamwork I saw out there." Tris says, pulling him in for a hug.

We gather our belongings and head outside with the rest of the kids and parents.

"Should we go celebrate with some pizza?" she asks, knowing he loves pizza.

"Yeah! Can my friend Noah come too?" he asks, pointing to his friend over with his parents.

Tris looks to me for my opinion, and with a silent shared look, we decide that'd be fine.

"Sure. Want to go ask?" Tris replies.

"Okay!" His excitement is obvious as he runs ahead of us over to where they are. I take Tris' hand and we follow behind him.

"Noah, you wanna come eat pizza with us?" he asks his friend with a hopeful smile.

"Yeah!" Noah exclaims, equally excited to spend time with his friend. They've been friends at school for a while now, but have never hung out outside of school before. Well, besides being on the same basketball team. But this is only their 2nd game so far.

Noah looks up at his parents. "Can I go with Jack for pizza?"

"I guess that might be okay, but let's talk with his parents." I hear his father say as Tris and I approach.

"You must be Jack's parents." His dad asks us.

"Yes, we are. I'm Tobias, and this is my wife Tris." I reach out and shake their hands, as does Tris.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Michael, and this is Kim." he introduces, putting his hand on the shoulder of his very pregnant wife. She smiles kindly and compliments Tris' sweater.

We chat for a couple more minutes, and both agree to have Noah tag along with us for dinner, and eventually we exchange phone numbers. We also get their address, since we offered to just drop him off on our way home.

On the drive to the pizzeria, even over the radio playing, I over hear Jack and Noah chatting in the backseat about their basketball team.

"Yeah, my dad says I can go to the next game. But not the one after that." Noah says sadly.

"How come?" Jack asks. "You can't miss it!"

"Because my mom is supposed to have my baby brother that week." he says, but I can sense the excitement in his voice. "She says she's ready to pop, whatever that means."

"I didn't know you were getting a brother soon. Well, until I met your mom today." Jack replies with a giggle, probably referring to her noticeable protruding stomach.

"Do you have any brothers or sisters?" Noah asks him.

"No." he states. "Not yet." he says, and I glance in the rear view mirror to see him. He continues to talk with his friend, smiling and enjoying his company.

He didn't even seem to think twice about his comment, but I can't help but think about how Jack responded to all that.

He seemed pretty open to the idea, and didn't seem like he'd be opposed to the possibility of Tris and I giving him a sibling or two. He almost seemed like he expected that it will happen.

At the stop light, I glance over at Tris to see if she heard any of this. She's looking forward, looking relaxed, with her hands resting in her lap. But she has a small smile of her own, which lets me know she had heard the conversation, and probably found it sweet too.

She glances at me then, pursing her lips to withhold her smile. She must have felt me watching her.

"What?"

I shrug and smile back, knowing there isn't much to say right now. At least not with the kids in the back seat. But I hope she knows I heard their conversation too, and I like how it sounded.

*1 week later*

"Are you guys coming to the party?" I ask Uriah as I finish making my little twin bed at the station. I love what I do for a living, but I still wish I didn't have to sleep here 2 nights a week. Especially since my feet hang off the edge of the mattress by a few inches. But it's part of the job.

"Yeah, I think so. As long as Marlene is still up for it. Want us to bring anything?" he asks, lacing up his shoes from where he sits on his bed across from me.

"Nah, we got things covered. Just show up whenever."

"Sounds good man, I'll probably see you in a few hours then." he tells me as he stands and grabs his backpack. He claps me on the back and heads out to leave.

It's early morning on Super Bowl Sunday, and today is the first of my three days off. Being that I happened to get the day off work, Tris and I decided to have a little party with our close friends, to watch the game.

But they won't be over for a while, so I eagerly head home to see my family.

When I arrive, the first thing I notice is the amazing aroma that hits my nose. I sense my cute little baker is in the kitchen making something amazing.

As if she wasn't incredible enough already, she had to have mad skills in the kitchen too. I don't know what I ever did to deserve her.

As I enter the living room, I notice Jack on the floor spread out over a blanket watching cartoons.

"Dad!" he exclaims in excitement once he notices me. He runs over to me and we hug.

"Hey buddy, how are you? I missed you so much."

"I'm good." he replies with a big smile. "Just watch in' TV. And mommy's baking lots of stuff."

"I thought she might be. It smells amazing in here." I say, and as we head towards the kitchen, I'm greeted by the sight of Tris bent over checking something in the oven. Damn, she's got a fine ass.

It's still pretty early in the morning, so she's still in her pajamas. Which today, consist of flannel pants, a tank top, and bare feet. But she's of course got her trusty apron on.

Sexy and adorable are the first words that come to mind, but they still don't do her justice.

She stands fully and turns to greet me, a beautiful smile on her face. But it almost seems shy, which is odd. I look at her questioningly, but she doesn't seem to notice. Or if she does, she ignores it.

"There's my wife." I say in greeting.

I approach her and she just smiles bigger and leans up to kiss me briefly.

"Good morning." she greets me back, as I lean in for another brief kiss.

"Is breakfast almost done, mom?" Jack asks as he pours himself some juice.

"Yes, just a couple more minutes." she tells him kindly, ruffling his hair before turning to tend to the scrambling eggs on the stove top.

"Okay." Jack replies, then runs off to continue watching cartoons.

"You're baking awfully early." I chuckle, looking around at the trays of multiple kinds of cookies and what looks like homemade buns for the pulled pork sandwiches we'd discussed making this evening.

I walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist. I lean in and nuzzle the side of her head and down into her neck. She tilts her head to give me better access and she closes her eyes at the feel of my lips on her.

"I figured I'd make some stuff for the party today, and wanted to get a head start." she says, but I know it's also because something is on her mind. Whenever she's excited, or stressed or has a bit of anxiety, she gets up early and bakes up a storm.

"Is everything okay?" I ask, genuinely curious.

"Yeah, of course." she dismisses, turning to look up at me and giving me a kiss. Then she goes back to seasoning the eggs, and adding a little cheese. "How was your shift?"

"It was good. Pretty uneventful this week, but I guess that's a good thing." I tell her. She nods and stirs the food.

I watch her as she plates the eggs and proceeds to finishing up the toast. But before she can call Jack back in to eat, I reach for her hands. I pull her to me and essentially guide her to look at me.

I give her an encouraging smile, knowing something is on her mind.

She seems to get my hint, but she's silent for a moment, seemingly thinking of her words. I sense a hint of a shy smile, but she still seems unsure.

"There is something I wanted to talk to you about." she says. She licks her lips and takes a deep breath.

"Of course baby, what is it?" I ask, reaching up and running my thumb along her cheek.

She smiles widely, and I can tell she's leaning more on the side of being excited, but also slightly nervous to tell me something.

"I-" she begins, but we're interrupted by an urgent knock at the front door.

We share a confused look, then I turn and head to the door, Tris following behind.

I peek through the peep hole, and see our next door neighbor. She's with her daughter, whose eyes are red from crying.

I immediately open the door for them and she speaks before I have a chance to.

"I'm so sorry to bother you Tobias, but Jessie here just took quite a fall on her bike. She's pretty scraped up, especially her arm here." She explains, pointing out the young girl's forearm where she's holding a damp towel to it. I can see the big scrape on her elbow and knee as well. "She's worried she'll need stitches, but I don't think that'll be necessary. Since you're a firefighter/paramedic, I figured we could come ask for your opinion."

Yeah, of course. Come on in." I say, opening the door wide for them. By now, Tris is beside me, looking worried.

"Bring her right in here to the bathroom." I add, gesturing to the bathroom near the stairs.

I notice Jack peering around the corner, curious as to what's going on. Jessie is a year older than him, but they've played outside together before. I know he enjoys her company, and he looks worried that she's hurt.

"She's okay, buddy. But will you help mommy get me some paper towels and a bag of ice?" I ask, glancing up at Tris, who gives me a quick nod, and turns to have Jack go help her retrieve the items.

They make their way into the restroom as I'd asked, and I grab out my first aid kit from below the sink.

"Alright Jessie, go ahead and take a seat." I say, and she sits on the closed toilet lid.

"I'm going to take a look, okay?" I ask, tentatively reaching for the damp towel she's got covering the wound.

She offers a small nod, and lets me proceed.

I make small talk, trying to take her mind off it while checking out all of her injuries.

"Where did you fall?" I ask.

"On the drain grate on the street, by the big oak tree." she says.

"Did you hit your head at all?"

"No. And I was wearing my helmet."

"That's good." I say, truly glad to hear that.

Tris returns with the items I requested, but then she takes Jack to other room to give us some space.

"Jack told me you're in karate." I say to Jessie, again hoping to distract her from what I'm doing as I begin cleaning her wounds.

"Yes, I am." she replies.

"I bet that's a lot of fun. Have you been doing that long?"

"I'm a yellow belt." she says with a smile.

"Wow, that's awesome. I've always thought about taking karate, but never did."

"Jack said he wants too. Will you let him?" she asks.

"I'll have to discuss it a bit more with him and his mom, but I'm definitely open to the idea."

"My instructors are really nice."

"That's good to hear. I'd we end up doing it, we'll check out your place." I say, knowing this is very likely to actually happen, as he's mentioned it to me already as well.

"Let us know when you advance to your next belt, we'll have Tris make you a cake to celebrate." I suggest and she smiles again with a nod.

Meanwhile, I've fully cleaned her wounds, added some antibiotic ointment, and bandaged her up. She definitely took quite a fall, but her injuries looked a lot worse than the really were, considering she fell on the gravel.

"Alright, you're all set. I'm no doctor, but I don't think you'll need stitches. I used a special butterfly bandage to keep that bigger cut closed up. It'll heal better on its own that way."

She looks surprised, and a bit relieved. "Okay."

"But you might be sore for a couple days, especially your knee since I can see it's starting to bruise up." I say, pointing it out through the hole in her jeans where they tore from the fall. "So take it easy and keep a bag of ice on it for a while, alright?" I suggest, handing her the bag of ice.

"I will. Thank you." she says, standing up.

Her mom looks to me with an appreciative smile from where she's leaning in the doorway, and thanks me as well.

I close up the first aid kit, wash up and meet them all by the front door where Tris is sending them with some of the cookies she had been baking. We wave goodbye and she looks to me with her eyebrows raised, he arms crossed and a smirk on her face.

"Doctor Eaton to the rescue." she teases, but I see the genuine smile.

Oh, shush." I try to defend. "When a person's in need, I'm there to help. You would be too."

"True." she chuckles. "But seriously," she says, coming up to me and wrapping her arms around my waist. She looks up at me with those big beautiful eyes, her warm smile seeming so proud of me. "You were great with her. You're a really good person, Tobias."

I wrap my arms around her too and press my lips to hers. After a moment, I tilt my head and slip my tongue in, finally having a gold chance to really kiss my wife. I haven't been able to kiss her like this for almost 72 hours. Which is much too long in my opinion.

She reciprocates and bunches her hands in the back of my T-shirt.

When we finally pull away, both quite a bit breathless, she looks up at me again and bites her lip.

"I better get in the shower."

"Okay." I agree, pecking her lips again. "Need me to do anything before the party?"

"No, just go relax and eat breakfast with Jack. It's probably cold now, but the eggs and toast is ready and on the table for you guys."

"You sure I can't help with anything around here?" I push. She shouldn't have to do all the cooking and party prepping herself.

She smirks and nods. "I'm sure. You should be exhausted from work, go relax now. I'm cooking the meat in the crock pot, so it's pretty much making itself." she insists.

She kisses me again, then begins to ascend the stairs, but I remember what she said earlier.

"Oh, I almost forgot- what did you want to talk to me about?" I ask.

She begins to step down with a soft smile. But then like clockwork, my phone begins loudly buzzing in my pocket.

I ignore it, but I know it's distracting us.

"I'll tell you later, it's fine."

"You sure? This is probably just Zeke. He can wait." I say, referring to the phone call.

I keep my eyes trained on her, hoping to read her face and ensure everything's okay.

"Yeah, it can totally wait." she says, and she offers a small smile before continuing up the stairs. She's trying to act nonchalant. But I can tell something's up.

My phone rings again, and as I suspected, it's Zeke.

-/-/-

That afternoon, the party is in full swing. We're all gathered around the TV watching the game, eating the amazing snacks and baked goodies that Tris made.

Jack and the other kids are all playing video games up in his room. And I think everyone is having a good time, laughing and chatting along during the commercials, whooping and hollering when our team scores.

"Ooh, yeah. Look at that one. 28 miles to the gallon! Ready to settle down and get a nice mini-van like that?" Zeke asks me in a teasing manner, referring to the car commercial that just played.

"No." I reply simply, reaching for another potato chip.

"C'mon, you can fit so many kids in there!" he persists, flicking a bottle cap at me.

"We only have 1 kid to drive around." I laugh. "I don't need more room."

He's been trying to get me to join the mini-van club, so that he doesn't feel like he's the only one. It all started when I teased him when he traded in his precious Mustang for one, and I said I'd never do it. If anything, we'll get a SUV if we need more space. But honestly, I understand that they may need it, as Shauna is already pregnant with baby #3. He barely gave her any time to rest after the second one, before knocking her up again. But they're both over the moon excited.

After this silly banter, I glance down at Tris who is sitting beside me on the couch and resting on my chest, I see that she's staring down at her hands, absentmindedly playing with her cuticles. She seems to be in a whole different place, so lost in thought. And I have that niggling feeling again, that something is bothering her. And I really can't stand it anymore. I hate seeing her quiet and disconnected like this.

I lean my head down and kiss her temple. "You okay?" I whisper in her ear. I run my hand through her hair and she looks up at me, like she's been startled from a daydream. So thoroughly caught up in her own thoughts, she doesn't even seem to have heard what I asked.

"Hmm?"

"Want to go get another beer with me?" I ask, not caring whether or not she catches my tone of encouragement that I'd really just like a moment alone with her.

"Sure." she agrees, and stands.

I follow her to the kitchen and she goes straight for the fridge to retrieve me an IPA. But she doesn't grab one for herself. In fact, I don't think she's had any all evening, now that I think about it. Maybe she doesn't feel well?

"Tris, I can tell something's on your mind. What's the matter?" I ask, reaching for her cheek tenderly. I'm hoping to come off as worried and comforting, not pushy and insensitive. The last thing that I want, is to make matters worse. But with our family and friends here, I can't help but notice she's putting on a bit of a front, and keeping her conversations short. I sense she's got something on her mind.

"I told you, Tobias. I'm fine." she states. It sounds a bit clipped, but thankfully she doesn't pull away from my embrace. None the less, I can tell she's being vague and avoiding a conversation that she seems to be putting off.

"I hope so. You seem worried or upset or something, I don't know what exactly. But I know it's something, and I don't like to see you this way. I hope you feel comfortable talking to me." I lean in and kiss her briefly and gently on the lips.

"I guess I'm just not feeling so well today." she says, and my brows furrow at the comment.

Even though I considered that just a moment ago, I don't really believe her. She doesn't sound very convincing. I know there's more to it.

"You sure that's all? It doesn't have to do with what you said we'd just talk about later?" Again, I hope I'm not pushing too much. But I don't think I can sit through the rest of the game and not worry about her or what's on her mind. I have to figure this out.

"This isn't really the time or place to discuss it." she says, and I see her lip quiver. She takes a deep breath and looks towards the stairs. "I'm going to go use the bathroom."

Fuck, something is really wrong. And I feel clueless. She straightens her posture and heads up the stairs towards our master bathroom.

I stand there for a moment and contemplate what she just said. I'm almost frustrated by her behavior, but it's so unlike her, I know I need to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Do I give her space and trust when she said this wasn't the time or place to talk? What could it possibly be that she wants to discuss? She looked like she was about to cry, I should go check on her.

Just as I decide to follow her up, Julia comes into the kitchen.

She grabs a bottle of water and looks at me curiously. "Everything okay?" she asks.

"Yeah, Tris isn't feeling very well. I'm going to go check on her." I explain, then brush past her to go follow Tris.

When I get to our bedroom, she has the door closed. But I think I faintly hear her crying, just as I'd suspected.

I turn the knob. I'm glad it's not locked, and I let myself in.

"Tris-" I say, but I seem to have startled her. She jumps, and looks over to me with puffy red eyes.

"What's wrong, love?" I ask, pulling her into my arms. All the frustration leaves my body, and is replaced with worry.

"I-I have to tell you something." she admits, leaning her head against my shoulder.

"Okay. I'm here baby, you can talk to me." I say, rubbing her back up and down with my hand.

"I wanted to do this after everyone left, but I can't keep it from you any longer." she says with a tearful chuckle. We stand facing each other, her hands in mine.

She remains somewhat nervous, I can tell. But a small genuine smile peeks through as she continues. She looks up into my eyes and blurts it out.

"I'm pregnant."

What!?

I was not expecting her to say that. But it doesn't mean I'm not stoked to hear it.

I don't even realize I'm grinning until she grins back at me, the look of relief taking over her face.

"We're having a baby?" I ask, but it comes out more as a surprised whisper.

She remains smiling excitedly as she nods in confirmation, squeezing my hands.

I pull her to me then, my lips crashing to hers. I pour as much emotion, love and devotion into the kiss as I can. I want her to know and feel how ecstatic I am at this news. How she had no reason to doubt my reaction.

When we pull apart and rest our foreheads together, I notice she's tearing up again. But this time they seem more like happy tears.

"I love you, Tris. I'm so excited to have another child, with you." she chokes a little laugh out and pulls me against her again in a tight hug.

"I'm so glad to hear that. I wasn't quite sure how you'd react." she admits.

"Really? Is that why you were upset?" I ask, holding her close to me, surprised that she wouldn't assume I'd be happy about this.

She nods against me and uses the tissue in her hand to wipe her nose.

"It's fantastic news." I tell her honestly. "What would make you think I'd feel otherwise?"

"I overheard you and Zeke talking a couple days ago, when he was over here hanging out with you. I didn't hear the whole conversation, but I clearly heard you tell him you didn't want any more kids." she says and sniffles again.

"What?" I ask, clearly surprised. "You must have misheard me or something. I wouldn't say that, babe. You and I have even talked about how we might consider having more kids in the future." I say, reminding her how that topic has come up on several occasions.

But then it dawns on me, and I recall the exact conversation she must have heard- or thought she heard. Dammit, Zeke and that damn mini-van.

"So, you're really volunteering to chaperone at the field trip?" Zeke asks, referring to the trip to the aquarium Jack and Steven's classes are going to next week.

"Yes, I told you, I already replied to the teachers email. And I even offered to be a driver."

"Really?" Zeke asks, surprised.

"Yeah. I don't want to ride on the bus, and I'd rather be the one driving Jack anyway. We could probably carpool if you want." I offer.

"That'd be cool. We could actually just take our new minivan." He grins.

"I already got cleared to be a driver in my vehicle. I offered to drive two others, besides me and Jack."

"But I had that new stereo installed in it last week. And mine holds up to 9 people, that's a lot more kids we could fit!"

"Exactly, I don't want more kids!" I let out a chuckle, but I realize it sounded frustrated. He really doesn't have a sense of when to drop the teasing. It can get annoying.

"If you say so."

"Trust me. I've got Jack, you've got Steven. It'll be much more quiet and enjoyable if we just stick to that."

"You mean you don't want Tris popin' out another 7 or 8 kids?" He asks, referring to how many kids he's said he wants to have, even though Shauna said she's cutting him off at 3 or 4.

"No." That's a bit too many. I don't think I could afford to feed them all."

"What if we just go get Tris' opinion? I bet she'd agree, the more the merrier. You gotta live a little, Eaton."

"We're not consulting Tris in this. My decision is made. No more talk of kids. No minivan. Now drop it. Forever." I say with a laugh.

"I'm telling Tris that you're being mean and that you don't want her babies." he says, but I can tell he's laughing too. Then he gets up, but he simply heads off to use the bathroom instead.

Yep, that'd be the conversation. I hadn't thought anything of it at the time, but obviously she heard bits and pieces, causing her to second guess my feeling of having more children.

"I just realized what conversation you heard and misunderstood." I reply, pulling her away slightly so I can see her eyes.

I run my hands up and down her arms as I explain the whole conversation between Zeke and me, and how she obviously missed the beginning of the whole discussion, which would have made a lot more sense to her.

"So yeah, what you heard was obviously completely out of context, and didn't mean what you thought it did." I explain, hoping to fully ease her stress.

"I'm so sorry. I can't believe I overreacted like that."

"Tris, there's no need to apologize. Just know you can always talk to me, no matter what."

"I think I was just surprised by your words, and I couldn't believe you'd happen to say such a thing when I was just becoming aware of a few signs that could make me thing I might actually be pregnant." she says, looking down at our hands. "So yesterday, I finally bought a few tests and took them."

"Them?" I ask. "Is it normal to take more than one?"

"Yeah, I ended up taking three, just in case. They all came out positive."

"Sweetheart, you've been worried about this almost all week?" I ask, feeling terrible that I'm partly responsible for this misunderstanding. But I also blame Zeke and his big mouth.

She shrugs and looks up at me again.

"I didn't want to say anything until I confirmed with the doctor. But I couldn't wait." she says. "A part of me was a nervous wreck, and the other part was ecstatic. I didn't know how and when to tell you. I was going to several times today, but we kept getting interrupted. So then I decided I was just going to wait until tonight, after everyone went home. But he brought up that conversation again, and I guess I just got lost in my own thoughts and inner battle of what to do or how to approach the matter. Of course you noticed though, so here were are." she offers me a small smile.

"I'm glad you finally had a chance to tell me. It's one of the best things I've ever heard." I sit down on our bed and pull her onto my lap. "You're having my baby." I repeat, grinning again and now instinctively reaching down to cradle her still-flat stomach. I know it's in there, even if it's itty bitty still. "I hope you know now, how thrilled I am."

She grins back at me, looking so relieved and loved. "Me too."

"Did you already make a doctor's appointment?"

"Yes, I called yesterday right after the test results. They squeezed me in on Wednesday afternoon."

"So I can go with you?" I ask, hoping she'll want me to be there with her. And I have that day off, so it works out perfectly.

"Of course, if you'd like to."

"I want to be there for all of your appointments." I tell her, and she smiles up at me, biting her lip.

"Don't get too excited. It could be a false positive, and then you'll have had your hopes up for nothing."

"I'm allowed to get my hopes up." I tell her, my grin not leaving my face. I lean in and peck her lips with mine. "Because if it happens to be that the test was a mis-read, well then, we'll just have to try harder." I then kiss her deeply. My hands holding her face and fingertips dipping into her soft hair. "And you know I won't give up until it works."

She chuckles and kisses me again.

"I love you." she murmurs against my lips.

"I love you too." I tell her, trailing my lips down to her neck, before were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Yo, you guys in there?" Zeke asks though the door. "I need to know where you keep your carpet cleaner."

My eyes roll and I look at Tris who is graciously holding in her laughter. I'm glad that she can be so forgiving of my idiotic friend.

"I've got a bone to pick with you Pedrad." I say, slipping Tris off my lap and heading for the door.

"Hey-" Tris, pulls me back. "Don't mention anything about this yet." she says, pulling my hand to her stomach. "Jack should be the first one to know."

Once again, I can't contain the grin that over takes my face.

I guess Zeke's off the hook for now.

If you like my writing, and want to read more of my stories, I suggest "following" me as an author (to get email updates), and/or check my main page often. As recently mentioned, my next writing project will just be a series of Fourtris one-shot short stories. They will vary in length and rating, but most will be rated M.

Once the second/final part of the First and Last epilogue is posted, I'll be working on those. So stay tuned!

:-)
