Happy Haloween you fuckers hope you liked rhe last chapter showed how bad I was at writing before I mean I still am but...dame I was horrible and about Halo 5 it was an overall 7/10 for me its multiplayer made up for it but that does not mean you can keep splitscreen out and these lare updates...like WTF I mean I feel like were leting this happen things just keep on getting worse with 343 and they only have to handle one fucking game there not even doing Halo wars..well there onling doing its story but one day they will fuck up and we will get sick of it and then no more Halo...sorry happy HALOween...pun intended
Chapter 13: Home again
Mike sat on the couch in his and Kelly's house he stared at the ceiling while he twirled a football on his finger. It was about three fifteen, he's been waiting for three hours on his couch surrounded by baby clothes and toys it was probably only one month since kelly got pregnant, he hadn't noticed anything. But here he was laying on his couch surrounded by baby thingys. Mike sighed and sat up what the hell was he going to do. He knew this wasn't how he should've found out Kelly should've told him herself when she was ready. He took off all the armor and put on a freash pair of clothes he just couldn't handle it being back and now being a father. All that mattered at the moment was Kelly and the child, he smiled at the thought he hoped it was a girl.
He walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a little cup of baby food. He grabbed a spoon and read the label "mashed carrots" he still thought getting all of this stuff now was over kill he opened it and took out a spoon full. I wonder if it taste good thought Mike he put the spoon into his mouth the taste wasn't that bad it was kinda sweet.
Many years ago
Mike felt somthing grab him and when he woke up he was back on the amber clad. He stood up and looked around, he was in the medical bay it was empty and the alarms were going off everything was a mess and he could see fire in the hallway. He grabbed a syringe off of the floor and began to walk forward towards the hallway. He slowly made his way out of the medical bay, he looked to see blood splattered all over the cold metal walls. He took a deep breath and turned left down the wall way he didn't even know what part of the ship he was on. He could here movement around the corner but when he looked to see what it was it terrified him.
Present
Kelly looked out the window of Cortana's van it had been raining all day so the trip to the beach had been cancelled. Ben and Catherine were sitting in the back seat. They were heading back to Cortana's but she just wanted to go home and cry, she was so emotional and she didn't know why. The only thing Cortana said was that it was gonna suck which wasn't that much help at all. She wanted to say somthing but ever since she found out about her pregnancy she just couldn't fight her own battles, she felt weak and helpless. How could she take care of this child, even Mike by himself is a chore.
"Hey Cortana...can we stop by my place real quick?" asked Kelly.
"Sure" said Cortana.
Mike was half way through building the crib when he heard a car pull up he looked outside to see a grey van. He looked to all the other baby products he finished building then back to the window. He grined and ran towards the door then hid to the side under the window. He prepared to scare the shit out who was ever there, he heard steps slowlt approaching.
"Seriously tell me Cortana...how shitty is this gonna be?" asked kelly taking out the keys.
"Take a scale from one to ten...then beat your spouse with it as the emotions all past ten" said Cortana. Kelly sighed then unlocked the door, the house looked completely different things were out and about and half of the baby food looked like it was eaten.
"What the.." said Kelly taking a step cautiously into the house.
"AAAAAAAAAAAH!" screamed Mike.
"Holy shit!" yelled Kelly driving her fist into the source of the scream.
"Shit!" said Mike falling down.
"Mike?!" said Kelly scrambling to pick him up.
"Yeah its me" said Mike.
"Oh my god Im sorry" said Kelly hugging Mike.
"What's happening?" asked Cortana.
"Hi Cor" said Mike waving then kicking the door close, he then lifted kelly up and kissed her. She pulled away a bit shock.
"But how" said Kelly.
"Don't talk just fuck" said Mike taking her up stairs. She went to speak but stopped herself, she was just happy to see Mike alive. He threw her onto the bed and before she knew it she was lost in him.
Ark
John came walking out to see the UNSC had already set up base, how long was he in there for. He looked to see Thel with the same confused face. He walked up to the ODST, who were sitting on the ledge of a broken bridge, John softly kicked Ryan in the back.
"Hey watch it marine!" said Ryan turning around and looking at whoever kicked him. His face went pale as the color draind from it. "Sir!. Yelled Ryan picking up his helmet and saluting John.
"Calm down Ryan its just the chief" said Phillip standing up.
"J-just the chief?" said Ryan turning around to stare down the Corporal.
"Yeah...he's cool now...we've bonded" said Phillip leaning back while Luna reasted her head on his shoulder. John was still surprised by how leaned back they were, it was like they were at home, that there wasn't a battle at all.
"Are you insane?!" yelled Ryan.
"Pft...maybe" said Phillip. Yeah he's definitely just like Mike, even in dire situations he can still act like an idiot.
"Its okay Sargent...I Don't mind" said John putting his hand on Ryan's shoulder.
"Oh...well...shut up Phillip" said Ryan.
"Its okay I know you want this dick" said Phillip.
"I still don't understand your human customs" said Thel walking towards a group of elites.
"Same here" said John following him.
"Get me your commanding officer" said Thel to an elite minor.
"Yes Arbiter" said the Minor.
"So where's Micheal?" asked Thel looking around.
"Who knows...probably still bragging about the Promethens" said John doing the same. John sighed and shook.
"What is it?" said Thel looking to his friend.
"I should have told Mike about Kelly...not the monitor" said John he felt so bad about it.
Earth
Mike laid naked next to Kelly, she was asleep, she cried and kept on saying that she was sorry for not telling him, that she didn't know until after he left. But all he could do was smile he was thrilled, he would never leave her no matter what comes there way.
He looked up and out the window then to Kelly and her soft smile, he's life was perfect. He leaned down and kissed her cheek, he then got up and put his armer back on. "Timmy" he said and the Promethen took him back to the ark. He looked around to see the UNSC and the Arbiter's elites had set up base here. He looked for John and when he spotted the big green bastard he slowly walked over to him. Mike tapped John on the shoulder as he was being looked at by a medic without Cortana he needed someone to physically check his body for any damage. Mike had his team AI but well he didn't like her it wasn't because she was a bitch or anything...it was just her voice. "So hows your check up buddy?".
"Long, where were you?" asked John looking around the place.
"I needed to see Kelly I couldn't wait" said Mike.
"I understand, just don't go showing off your Promethens now...ONI has a habbit of sticking its nose in other peoples business and then destroying those peoples lives...you should know that the best Mike especially after Benjamin" said John looking at Mike now.
"Didn't you kill three of their agents becuase they went after your kids?" asked Mike.
"Im just saying, if their gonna send kidnappers send good ones" said John.
"Still can't belive you got away with that scot free" said Mike.
"I didn't actually...I was sent on countless of sucide missions for a while but then they just gave up, I still can't belive that kid I saved all those years ago became one of them" said John.
"What from the Corbulo?" said Mike.
"Yeah, I still can't belive what they did to you" said John.
"Are you seriously still bumed out about that if it wasn't for the Sparten there's every spartan two would be dead, sent on the mission we went on...to never return I know how you come to peace with the fact what happened to you happened for a reason and humanity wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that...but no matter what each generation of spartens went through like the ones...like Johnson..or the two's like you humanity wouldn't be here with out them even the fours" said Mike.
"Still can't wrap my head around that" said John, he couldn't believe that he saved humanity after all these years after everything he's been through the halo rings, the covenant, the flood and the Ditact.
"Well looking on the bright side you have an under age wife who is smoking hot and two...very, very odd children" said Mike patting John on the back.
"Yeah...I still don't know what I want for those too" said John looking down at Cortana's old chip.
"What your kids?" asked Mike
"Yes" said John.
"Well...I'd want my kid to become an ODST...ya know do what I could never do...live there old man's drems, they'd probably wouldn't want to and We'd get into fights and I'd say somthing like "Your joining the UNSC weither you like it or not" and then they'd do somthing crazy like run away then I'd have to accept that they wouldn't be what I want them to be but what they want to be" said Mike shaking his head, pulling up a chair and sitting next to John.
"Well at least you have your future planed out, I never wanted kids but well Cortana was able to poke holes in the condoms" said John smiling and Mike gave out a chuckle.
"Yeah...women am I right?... Me and kelly never wanted kids but we hated condoms so you can kinda figure out that one...I still don't get it tho" said Mike taking off his helmet.
"Get what?" asked John.
"I mean condoms were made hundreads of years ago but no one made a better way to fuck I mean yeah they gave better design's to make it feel better...but nothing new ya know" said Mike.
"Cortana wants another kid" said John.
"Okay one, don't you fucking dare try to change the subject on me you bastard I will notice that shit and two...I'm really sorry I mean yoyr kids are evil and are assholes. You guys are the main reason why Linda and Fred decided to not have kids and kelly and me just don't think we're fit parents...there cunts especially Catherine" said Mike looking John directly in the eyes.
"Tell me somthing I don't know" said John.
"Ben is gonna go places" said Mike.
"Is that a joke...or..." said John.
"No Im serious...I think he's gonna go places most likely in ONI...sorry but he seems like that kind of person...and if Im right...you owe me fifty credits" said Mike.
"You know...I hope he dose that seems like he'd be perfect for that" said John.
"Okay, I'm done here" said the Medic and John put his helmet back on.
"Well I'm gonna check on the troopers" said Mike heading towards the ODST. John looked to see the Arbiter being given his sword the Prophets bain. The oddly roundish energy sword with an orange glow. John then looked over the sea of red armored elites...the swords of Sanghelios. For the first time John could see the different subspecies of elites from different planets hell even female elites were apart of the Swords.
Mike looked to see the ODST sitting on the edge of a broken bridge he walked up and kicked the one known as Philip off only to have Phillip quickly grab onto the ledge. "Aww you survived" said Mike putting his hands on his hips.
"What the hell" said Ryan helping up Phillip.
"Feeding those dame things" said Mike pointing down at the crowd of flood. "They look hungry".
"They sure do" said Phillip standing up and dusting himself off. "Im still going to figure out who you are and where I know you from".
"Well at least your deterimed kid" said Mike shoving him closer to the edge.
"Hey!" yelled Luna standing up.
"Stand down" said Mike reaching for his knife.
"Its okay honey bunny" said Phillip.
"So you think you got what it takes to be an ODST...I know one who was greater then you and he didn't say a dame word" said Mike taking a step forward.
"Well where is he now?" said Phillip getting ready for anything.
"Dead..shot in the head by some Indie bitch" said Mike taking another step forward.
"Well Im here sooo what you gotta say about that" said Phillip.
"You got a good team backing you up...but are you good enough to die for what you belive in" said Mike putting his face right in front of Phillips.
"What does that have to do with anything?" asked Phillip.
"Recruitment" said Mike he then grabbed Phillip by his neck and tossed him off the edge but agian Phillip was found hanging on the edge of the cliff. "Iam pretty sure I gave you a good toss". Mike then turned and left. "I'll try to see what I can do".
"What was that about" said Smith.
"I don't know all I know is that he's crazy" said Lo.
"How did he become a Commander" said Luna.
"Jun you there?" asked Mike using the coms that where installed into the helmet when he got back from Earth.
"What is it Mike?" asked Jun.
"I need you to do a profile check on a Phillip Lexington...he seems off and his unnaturally quick for a human being" said Mike.
"Think he's another Indie test subject like you?" asked Jun.
"Trust me...I wad the only survivor" said Mike looking back and Phillip. "He says he knows me from some where as well...well mainly he knows my armor...try to find any marines with the last name of Lexington anywhere I was stationd".
"Yes commander...and sir?" said Jun.
"Yes Jun" said Mike.
"ONI is still insist that you Join them...they've been doing this for about a month now" said Jun.
"I know...but I don't need to because your in ONI now and you got all the intel I need buddy...just find out somthing about this Phillip character" said Mike.
Earth
Cortana was surpised my the smile on Kelly's face when she picked her up this morning. "What's up with you?" asked Cortana confused by her friend especially because she's never seen her so happy before.
"Oh nothing just well rested is all" said Kelly buckling up.
"That's the worst excuse I've ever heard and I have kids Kelly" said Cortana with a little grin. "So what was..cute pizza I know I had my fair share".
"What?! No...wait you've been with other men?" asked Kelly who looked shocked.
"No!...I just...look is all" said Cortana pulling out of the driveway. "Fine if you wont tell I wont ask".
"So where our your kids" asked Kelly looking back at the empty car seats.
"At Johns parents house" said Cortana turing into the freeway. "Today is our day, no kids no distractions".
"Oh...yeah...I forgot about that" said Kelly softly. John was so lucky for his family to be alive, everyone else's are dead...hell even Halsey is dead, she died of a heart attack three years after John's kids were born. She remembered when she found Mike and John trying drink away thers sorrows in front of her grave. They wers surrounded by bottles but no matter how much they drinked they still couldn't get drunk. John soon recovered but Mike was depressed for a year before he went back to normal he was always the weakest of the two.
"So guess where we're going" said Cortana cheerfully.
"Where?" asked Kelly.
"Luna" said Cortana.
"The moon?" said Kelly.
"Yep" said Cortana.
"I've never been on the moon" said Kelly.
"Well they is an amazing spa there and I know how you love spa's" said Cortana.
"I do the Spa's...oh his there a track there I haven't ran my three miles in a while" said Kelly looking excited as ever.
"Uuuuuum...its a spa" said Cortana.
The Ark
"So when are we leaving?" asked Mike as John, Thel, and him stood in a circle. Thel looked at Mike and shrugged.
"We could ask the parasite" said Thel motioning towards the hole where the Gravmind resigned.
"Yeah...there's that" said Mike folding his arms. "Or we can go before the flood looses use for us" Mike rhen looked to John but then somthing hit him, he began to feel woozy and so did John and Thel." Hey does anyone..." said Mike before drifting off to sleep.
Many years ago
Mike charged the flood combat form and tore off its arm, he then grabbed the SMG out of its arm and began to fire at it and others. Once he cleared out the hallway he then ran forwards towards the hanger. 'Where am I' thought Mike moving as fast as he can picking up ammo on his way. He tried to ingnore the screams as he headed through the corridors. Finally he got into hanger he jumped onto a pelican taking off sadly he soon relized it wasn't full of humans but flood.
"Shit" said Mike. He fought the flood pushing them off getting closer tp the cockpit.
John and Cortana looked as a pelican crashed on the bridge in front of them. John tightened his fist as he saw the flood come out but then he kinda smiled when he saw the Spartan three stumbling out like a complete idiot.
Mike caught his balance as he stumbled out of the pelican, he looked around to see a covenant looking structure. "Where am I!?" he screamed falling to his knees.
"Hey!" yelled Cortana. Mike turned to see the blue women.
"Hi!" he said Jofully waving. John just shook his head.
