Chapter 14

Renji's P.O.V

"Are you totally healed yet?" asked Renji as he watched Rukia examining herself. Orihime had just healed her wounds. Rukia nodded and ignored her mod soul 'Chappy', who was crying and clinging to her.

"I'm totally recovered, and with such unbelievable speed. Thank you, Orihime, you went totally out of your way to help us." said Rukia as she turned to look at the orange haired girl. Orihime nodded,

"Uh…Think nothing of it!" she cried happily, "I mean, I just….You know…" Orihime didn't know what to say.

"So you're better now, Rukia?" asked Ichigo. Rukia turned to him,

"What's with that face?" she asked, "Did you even feel a speck of obligation to help me out when I was hurt? Don't get caught up in the moment like that!" Ichigo stared at her with the same expression, "Your injuries are your own problem. I'm not so weak as to not be able to protect you, you know!" Rukia went on, "So don't go making a face like that!" Ichigo looked a tiny bit happier, but not much. He sighed, "If it's about the hollow within you, then maybe you should try asking Urahara about it. He's the one that trained you after all, which means he must know something about it." Ichigo looked thoughtful,

"Asking Urahara-san, Huh? I don't feel like doing that. That guy…even without talking to him, I'm certain that he's aware of my current situation. And…" continued Ichigo, "Knowing that, if he had come up with a solution, I believe he would have told me before I left for soul society. But he didn't, so that tells me that even he doesn't know a way to suppress this guy." Rukia and Renji stared at Ichigo, "He was nice enough to train me, and I'm thankful just for that. That's why…" he turned away to look out on the city, "As far as this thing is concerned, I really don't feel like questioning him, pretending like he'll be able to give me the answer…" Orihime stared at Ichigo. "I'm going home." he said walking towards the edge of the roof. The others stared after their troubled friend, unable to say anything to console him. Orihime went home not long after that, leaving Renji and Rukia alone.

Rukia turned to Renji, her eyes solemn,

"You saw her, didn't you?" said Rukia to Renji. "Hara," Renji looked away,

"Yes. She's still here….somewhere…" He looked at her; she was staring at him,

"What?! She's still here?! Why didn't you say something?!" Rukia got to her feet, "Come on. We have to find her." Renji didn't move, "Renji!" called Rukia.

"She's with them, isn't she?" he asked. Rukia stared at him sadly, she nodded,

"Yes." she looked over the cityscape, "And if she's still here…We have to find her, catch her…Get he to tell us what Aizen is planning." He got to his feet,

"I know." Renji sighed, "Rukia. The two of us aren't going to be enough to catch her, you know. We should go and get Ikkaku and Yumichika…they knew her too." Rukia nodded at her tattooed friend,

"Fine, let's go, then." she turned to jump off the roof. "Go to Ichigo's house." she told the mod soul, before jumping off the roof, Renji at her side.

Hara's P.O.V

Hara ran until she was at the other end of town. She found a dark place near a park and sat down, her head in her hands.

"What am I going to do now?!" she moaned. She knew that sooner or later she was going to be found, and she would have to fight. She didn't want to, but if she didn't, they would press her for information, and then she would be betraying Aizen. If she didn't tell them, she would be betraying her friends. Hara felt so confused, torn between choices. And what of Grimmjow, would he come back for her? Was he already on his way? He wouldn't leave her behind on purpose…she knew that much…What had happened though? Surely he hadn't been that wounded for him to just turn back without her…

Hara growled to herself in frustration. Then suddenly it hit her, she should go and seek out that Ichigo guy and find out what happened, but she just had to make sure no one else caught her. Hara stood up and searched out his spiritual pressure. A minute later, she found him. No one else was around him, at least not anyone with spiritual power of any kind. Satisfied, she took off after him, hoping she could find out what was going on, and why she was stuck there.

Grimmjow's P.O.V

"Is that so?" asked Aizen, as he stared down at Grimmjow, "You say she is missing?" Ichimaru grinned as he leaned against the wall,

"Aizen-sama…Didn't ya make Grimmjow Hara's escort? Isn't he supposed to keep an eye on her?" Grimmjow kept his expression the same, even though he wanted to go after that fox faced Ichimaru. Aizen peered down at Grimmjow,

"Yes, I did. So where was she last, Grimmjow?"

"With me, in the material world," Ichimaru laughed quietly. Aizen stared at him,

"And when did she disappear?"

"During my fight with Kurosaki, she said she had something to check on." Ichimaru laughed louder,

"Oh this is interesting!" he cried, "So she got herself trapped down there?" Aizen smiled,

"Aizen-sama, do you wish for me to bring her back?" asked Tosen from the shadows. Grimmjow tried his best not to look at Tosen, because he was afraid he wouldn't be able to control the anger he felt.

"No." said Aizen. Grimmjow's eyes widened, "Let's leave her there for now…We can test how loyal she is to us."

"And if she proves not to be?" asked Tosen.

"Then I am afraid I will have to send someone to dispose of her." replied Aizen. "Thank you, Grimmjow. You may leave." Grimmjow nodded his head and began to leave.

"Oi! Grimmjow!" called Ichimaru. Grimmjow turned, "Do ya have any feelings for her?!" Grimmjow stared at him,

"No." he lied as he walked towards the door. Aizen smiled,

"Grimmjow. I forbid you to try in any way to bring her back, without my command." It was as if Aizen had read his mind, Grimmjow had just been thinking that he would have to go and save Hara himself.

"Yes, Aizen-sama." said Grimmjow, through slightly gritted teeth. He then turned and left.

Once he was in his room, he punched the wall, "Dammit!" he yelled. What would he do now? He looked out at Hueco Mundo, "Be careful, Hara." he whispered, remembering how she had said she had a bad feeling. "Don't worry. I'll get you back…somehow.".
