Chapter 14

I groaned as the alarm went off. I sometimes hated Wednesday. It went off for a good two minutes, until Kai threw a pillow at it. And then it hit the record player. I shot up in bed, and threw a gold sphere at it. It exploded on impact, and set the record player on fire.

"Next time somebody sets an alarm clock, I'm going to be sure to blow them up as well!" I yelled at everyone. I thought I saw Kai flinch, but dismissed it as drowsiness. He'd been acting like that ever since that week they left. I didn't remember much from it, for some reason.

"Morning to you too, Guren" Jay said, in a kind of joke. I rolled my eyes, and I hopped out of bed. A loud snarl suddenly shook the bounty, and I realized my Dragon was demanding me to feed him. I rushed up to he roof grabbing a giant pail of fish. I definitely didn't want the ice head freezing us in again.

"My my my, you are certainly demanding" I said, my hand on my hip as I held out the pail of fish. The heads of Ultra snapped at each other, since only one of them could eat. I had to stifle a giggle. Finally, the fire head stretched forward.

I dumped the fish on the ground, and the head lapped it up happily. The other seemed to glare. I giggled, and walked over to the ice one, stroking its scales. It's skin was nice, and cool to the touch. I just then remembered I was standing outside with shorts and a tank top on, and, blushing, I rushed inside to change.

Cole stopped me on the way to the bathroom. He had had the rare thought of dressing casually, with a black T-shirt and jeans.

"I honestly thought you had the decency of changing before going outside" he joked, poking me in the middle of my forehead. I blushed, lowering my ears, and the slap I gave him could be heard across the bounty. I swore I heard someone giggle.

I locked the door before I changed, and when I came back out, Cole was glaring. You could still see the slap mark on his face. I suppressed the urge to burst out laughing.

"Why aren't you in your suit?" I asked instead. He looked down, and uttered a very nasty profanity. He stormed back into our shared room, as I strode down the hall. As I turned a corner, I bumped into Kai.

He shrieked and whipped around, a look of pure terror on his face. I held my hands up.

"Chill, Kai, it's just me" I said, in a halfhearted joke. Kai still had that petrified look on his face. I waved my hand in front of him, and snapped my fingers. "Kai? Earth to Kai!" I yelled. Kai snapped out of his stupor, and I gave him an even look.

"Sorry, what Guren?" He asked. I gave him a long, hard stare. He tensed up.

"Kai, is there something you're not telling me? You've been so jumpy around me this week" I said. He scratched the back of his head.

"I'm not hiding anything" he said, not meeting my gaze. I saw a small glint in his eyes. Fear.

"Kai, is there something wrong?" I asked, putting my hand on his shoulder. He tensed up, and stared at me with an expression I couldn't read. It kinda spooked me. Just then Jay ran down the hallway,

"We've been called to the Ninjago City Museam, something really weird is happening" he said, before leaving to tell someone else. Kai grabbed me by the hand, and started running.

Just half an hour later, I found myself smashing tiny, annoying, miniatures of a stone warrior under my foot. The gift shop was crawling with the little buggers. I even set a few on fire. However, by the time I looked up from my stomping, the others had managed to destroy the gift shop. I moaned and faceplamed, knowing this was going to come back to bite us. I noticed Sensei rush out the door, after the last toy, and we all walked out after him.

We had no need to rush, and I kept close to Kai on the short walk, wondering what he was hiding from me. My curiosity wasn't going to be satisfied until I knew. Kai had refused to make eye contact, and I raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

My ears pricked, however, dragging me away from my own thoughts. I had picked up an unknown voice, female, and slightly younger than Wu. We turned a corner, and another female voice, one I thought I heard once before, tentatively say: "Misako?"

"Uh, Sensei, care to introduce us to your friends?" Jay asked. I couldn't see either female. But I saw a small flash of red. Scarlet red.

"This is Misako, Lloyd's mother" Wu said. I raised an eyebrow. I was betting the second she ever stepped into the Bounty, Lloyd would tackle her.

"Ah, yes Wu. And this is my research assistant, she's the one who found the Stone Warrior" Misako said. I still couldn't see Jack shit. Mostly because I didn't care.

"Wow, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought you were Guren's mother" Jay suddenly wisecracked. My right eye twitched, and I almost lost my temper with him.

"Move aside, moron" I said, finally shoving him. I turned for a second, and froze up. I locked eyes with the woman next to who I assumed was Misako. She stared back.

"Guren? Is that really you?" She asked, taking a step forward. She put her hand tentatively on the side of my face, as if she was wondering if I was real. "Your so much older than I remember" she whispered. I regained a small part of my senses, and smacked her hand away.

"Well, it's been a long time" I said, in a slight glare. She took a step back.

"I know it has, but I have a reason for being away" she started.

"Well, I don't want to hear it!" I yelled at her. I whipped around, and stormed out of the hallway, shutting the doors behind me.

I stared down the bottomless pit in front of me, sulking angrily. I had a small instinct telling me to just destroy everything, to take my anger out on something. But that part of me always wanted to do that. So, as usual, I ignored it. I heard footsteps.

"I'd watch myself. That sinkhole doesn't have a bottom, son. It's where I found the Ancient Stone Warrior" Silver's voice said from behind me. I arched my spine.

"Uh, Son? You've been gone my whole life! You don't have the right to speak" I said, glaring.

"Well, I'm going to talk anyway. You want to know what I've been doing all this time? Long before Sensei Wu even knew who the Green Ninja could be, I knew there was a very large chance it could be you" she started. I turned away from her. "I knew that one day you would have to fight your father-" she started.

"Who now?" I asked, as the group came up behind us. I saw Misako shoot a look at Sensei Wu. I wondered what it was about. Kai tensed up.

"You mean nobody told you? How did you get here?" She asked. The Trail rushed through my mind.

"How I got here is none of your business, Kai found me in a snowdrift and saved my life. Now, what is the big secret?" I asked. Silver looked horrified.

"Misako?" She asked, her voice shaking. I was about to pop a bitch.

"What? He's your son, you tell him" she snapped, sending a dirty look. Kai was looking more and more uncomfortable by the minute.

"What? What is it that I should know?" I yelled. Silver made a few inaudible sounds. "Spit it out woman!" I snapped.

"Lord Garmadon is your father!" Kai suddenly yelled. I slowly turned to him, and so did everyone else. He seemed to shrink under the collective stress. There was a long stretch of silence, where I felt my blood run cold.

"What?" I whispered, in shock. I felt the coldness reach my heart as I turned to my mother. The one person who I could trust with the answer to my next question. "Is that true?" I asked. She gulped, and took a deep breath.

"It's true" she whispered. I felt ice close around my heart. A white hot rage suddenly consumed me, and I leapt at Kai with record speed, pinning him to the ground by his throat.

"How could you!?" I yelled at him. He looked extremely scared and guilty. He gulped. I felt someone grab my shoulder.

"Let him go, this is not the time" Wu said. I scowled at him, and let Kai up. He gasped for breath. I glared, seething.

"Explain yourself. Now" I demanded.

The next half hour was in thick detail, mostly about a new twist of a story we heard before a thousand times, and laced in an apology, all the while everyone staring at me and her. She even explained the fact Misako was married to Garmadon when I was conceived. Misako kept looking at me with sympathy. I felt my blood warm a little bit, by the fact I had someone who adressed the fact I was there. She'd forgiven me, because it wasn't my fault I was alive.

"So, wait. You're telling me I was illegally conceived? What in the name of the First Spinjitzu Master is wrong with you!?" I yelled at her. Everyone in the room was on edge. Silver cringed.

"To be fair, I was drunk" she said. I glared. So did everyone in the room with the exception of Kai. He was shivering in terror, his eyes never leaving me.

There was a sudden scream, and the doors slammed open. Everyone stared at the two figures, who were supposed to be on the Bounty.

"What are you two doing here!? I told you to keep post on the Bounty with Nya!" Jay yelled. Lloyd and Ceylan looked scared out of their wits.

"Giant... Stone... thingy... chasing us..." Ceylan said, heaving. He was shaking like a leaf. I noticed his crossbow was clutched in his left hand.

"What?" Cole asked. Lloyd stared at his mother for a moment, and I noticed Misako had her hands over her heart. Then Lloyd turned to Cole.

"He said the Stone Warrior came to life, and now it's chasing us. His crossbow did nothing but slowed it down" Lloyd translated, surprisingly calm. "Also, what is my mom doing here?" He asked.

"Long story" Zane said.

"VERY long" Cole responded. And then the warrior burst through the doors.

I'm not going to bore you with the very valiant and failed attempts we made at destroying the Soldier. But I did come up with a brilliant plan that sent it back into the bottomless abyss it came from.

I personally never liked this episode, and I wanted to focus on Guren meeting up with his mother (who he will not be forgiving for a while) in this chapter. And I'm skipping "The Day Ninjago Stood Still" so we can get moving along. Didn't like that episode either. And Guren is going to have to get used to being the son of a phyco. A phyco he has to kill. Hope you liked it!
