Chapter Five
Ventus
Radiant Garden
"Check it out, Ventus! I'm home!"
Ventus looked surprised at the woman beside him. "You live here?"
"Yeah! This is Radiant Garden! See, over there is the Palace and my place is over there. Renee and Cid live down that way-"
"Where does Bailey live?" Ventus asked her.
"Boss lives in the Palace. Hey, do you wanna-"
"Selia?" Both of them turned to the new voices and she gave a huge grin.
"Kieran, Rayna. How's it going?"
"Good, until you showed up," Kieran grunted. Kieran and Rayna were twins with black hair and blue eyes. Kieran was a student under Lucient and his lance wielding skills with another kid named Geoffrey.
"Be nice, Kieran." Rayna told her brother. She turned back to Selia. "How's the mission been?"
"Awesome," She nodded. "Ah, meet Ventus. He's an old friend of Bailey's and a pretty good fighting partner. He's not that bad of a singer, either."
Ventus blushed. "I thought you said you were asleep!"
She grinned. "I lied."
"You never change," Kieran chuckled.
"And that's the way I like it. Hey, do you know where Alana is? I wanna see her before we take off again."
"Your sister?" Rayna thought for a moment. "I think she and Geoffrey went to the Palace to get Keira and Kairi to play some ball with them."
"Who're they?" Ventus asked.
"Keira and Kairi are the Princesses here, stupid." Kieran grunted. He gave another grunt as his sister hit him in the head.
"Forgive my brother; he doesn't have manners."
"It's alright," Ventus smiled. He glanced at Selia. "Well, if you want to see your sister, I say we go."
"You don't mind?" She asked him.
"Course not. I'd want to see her too if I had one."
Selia gave a nod. "Thanks guys. Tell the others I said hey, alright?"
"Will do."
As Selia led Ventus through the city, he couldn't help but small. She was so excited to be back home and wanted to show him everything and tell him all about her friends. It was nice to see her in this way and outside of battle. To see her on her own turf instead of a new world.
"Are the others allowed inside the palace?" Ventus asked as they moved up the stairs to the palace.
"Not really but that doesn't stop them." She chuckled. She paused and glanced to the side where Alana and Geoffrey would usually sneak in the lower window. Ventus kept moving towards the two guards that stood at the door, hoping to ask where the kids were, but he was given something else.
"Halt!" The two guards held their weapons out. "The castle is presently closed."
"But we're looking for a group of kids. We were told they were here." Ventus told them.
"We aren't aware of any visitors. Now run along home, boy, before the monsters get you."
"Ah, Dilan! Aeleus!" Selia gave a huge smile at the two guards as she moved up to join the three of them. "Being mean like always, huh?"
"Selia?" Both men looked surprised to see the woman.
"The one and only." She grinned. "How have things been?"
"These monsters have appeared," Dilan answered her, wiping his black hair from his face. "Captain Bailey warned us about them before the three of you left but they're still pretty strong foes."
"Well, you guys shouldn't have too much of a problem then. You're one of the strongest pairs in the Kingdom."
"Your praise isn't necessary," Aeleus told her.
"Take it anyway; I don't give it often." She then turned. "Ah, you guys, meet Ventus. Ventus, this is Dilan and Aeleus."
"Call me Ven." He held out a hand but neither man returned it. He dropped as Selia glanced around the courtyard.
"Hey, did Alana and a few other kids come up here?" Selia asked the two men.
"Your sister is always up here," Dilan answered her.
"She was looking for the Princesses but Keira had already left with Renee earlier. She was talking about wanting to learn more about those transporters that Renee and Cid had created for you and Lucient." Aeleus told. "We told her and Geoffrey not to bother her but I'm sure that they will."
"They're kids, Aeleus. Let them live a little, will ya? You're starting to become like Even and I don't like that." Apparently neither had the man and she chuckled at the face he gave her. "Don't worry, I'd never let you get that bad."
Dilan went to make another comment but Ventus' cry cut him off and they all turned to see what was behind the reason.
"Is that a helmet?" Selia asked, staring at the Unversed.
"They're here!" Dilan and Aeleus moved forward, brandishing their weapons again. "Radiant Garden shall not fall under the likes of you."
"Leave this to us!" Ventus rushed past the two guards,
"Stop!"
"You're just a child!"
"Don't worry," Selia smiled at the two guards. "Ventus can handle himself."
"But still…"
"And I'm with him, so no worries." She moved forward, following after Ventus.
The Unversed led them through the entire city, it trying to rain havoc down on the people, but they put a stop to that and did their best to keep up with it; it ended up leading them to the Aqueduct.
"Look out!" Terra's voice made Ventus run faster and he burst into the area with Selia, both of them watching as a group of kids that had been playing there had been trapped in some type of bubble.
"Alana!" Selia cried out, recognizing her sister.
"Geoffrey!" Lucient's voice joined her's and she glanced to see that he and Aqua had joined them as well, the two sets of three finally being reunited.
"Don't worry," Terra called up to them. "We'll save you."
"S-Selia!" Alana's voice made Selia turn her attention back to her sister.
"Don't be afraid, Alana. I'll get you down! Don't worry!"
"Bailey, you and Selia get the children to safety." Lucient told them. "I'll take care of this guy," Pulling out his lance, he faced the Trinity armor. "Not alone you won't," Ventus growled, whirling his own Keyblade."
"Aqua, help them," Terra took a place next to the two men.
Aqua nodded. "You got it." She glanced at the bubbles. "What does it have them captured in?"
Selia thought quickly, grabbing her own blade. "Some kind of spell, it looks like. Would they pop if we hit it?"
"Only one way to find out," Bailey answered. Running up one of the sets of pipes, she landed a blow against Keira's bubble but got thrown back to the floor. "Damn. They must be connected to the Unversed," She told the others. "The weaker the things gets the easier the thing will break."
"Is that right?" Bailey watched as Selia's mind continued to work. "Then maybe if we attacked the bubbles the same time that one of the boys over there attacked the creature, the spell will break."
Aqua lined her attack up with Lucient's own and her Keyblade smashed the bubble around Geoffrey, releasing the child. It took four more tries but they were all released and safe.
"Selia!" Alana ran to her sister and hugged her tightly. Selia hugged her back.
Alana was a six year old child with red black hair and blue eyes that loved to run around barefoot everywhere; even now.
"Yuffie," Bailey began. "You and Tifa go and tell your Aunt that you're all safe. I'll return Keira to the castle."
"On it!" Tifa grabbed Yuffie's hand and took off, leaving Bailey with the other three.
"Are you guys alright?"
"Yeah," Alana nodded, hugging her sister.
"Don't scare me like that," Selia sighed, gripping her back. "Man, I'm gonna have to show you how to protect yourself when I get back home, aren't I?"
"Will you really?"
"Of course I will," Selia told her.
"I missed you, Selia." Alana told her. "I was afraid that you wouldn't come back for me."
"Honey," Selia kissed the top of her head as the three boys took down the Trinity Armor. "I'll always return."
"And that is how men work," Lucient grinned, offering up a high-five to Terra and Ventus. Ventus gave a laugh and returned it but Terra frowned.
"Not bad," Selia grinned as she moved forward, Alana hanging onto her hand. Geoffrey ran up to Lucient as Keira clung to Bailey's leg. "I'm surprised that the two of you could work so well when just meeting Lucient. The attacks were flawless."
"That just proves how badass I am." He messed with Selia's hair. "Glad to see that you're safe," He then turned to Bailey. "You too."
"Please, of course we would be fine," Selia snorted as Bailey chuckled. "I was more worried about you after we left you with Maleficent."
"Yeah, that dragon was a pain in the ass," Lucient sighed.
"Dragon?" Selia cried.
"Yeah, didn't you know?"
"No, I didn't," She went to say something else but paused when she saw Ventus and Bailey exchange a hug. Remembering what Ventus had said about Bailey being like his sister, it made a huge smile spread across her face again.
"Are…are you Be-Be's friend?"
Ventus pulled back at Keira's voice and then knelt down to level his face with her's. "Yes I am. You could call us family. Are you the one that's been taking care of her for me?"
"Yep!" The little princess gave a huge smile. "No bad guys ever get near her!"
"That's good. Keep a good eye on her for me, will ya?" Ventus asked her.
"Always!"
"Don't encourage it, Ventus," Selia chuckled at the young boy. "You'll make her think you're being serious."
He stood up as Alana gave a laugh. "But I am being serious!"
"Listen to me, Ven," Aqua began, deciding to bring the talk to an end. "We need to get you home-"
"It's ok, Aqua," Ventus smiled. "Trust me, that guy in the mask is history. He'll never bad-mouth Terra again."
"Yeah, and next time he'll have me to deal with, right Ventus?" Selia grinned.
"Right!"
Terra reached forward and grabbed Ventus' shoulder. "You saw the boy in the mask?"
"Y-yes?" Ventus looked surprised.
"Vanitas." He hissed and then back up from his friend. Selia raised a brow. Was Vanitas that boy's name? And if it was, how did Terra know it? "Ven. You let Aqua take you home."
"No way. I wanna go with you guys. All six of us could make a great team! Double just the three of us!" Ventus argued.
"You can't. We have a dangerous task ahead of us. I don't want you to get hurt." Terra told him.
Selia was going to make a comment but she stayed silent, just watching.
"I say you let him come along." Bailey stood up on Ventus' side. It made his smile jump up. "Having him closer would be better than further away, don't you think?"
"And just what is this dangerous task?" Aqua asked. "It doesn't sound like what the Master told you to do. And what about you, Bailey?"
"Eraqus' orders can go jump off a cliff for all I care," Bailey hissed at the blue-haired woman. "And so can Xehanort's. I'm doing what I think is right for those I care about and there is nothing that's going to change that. Come on, Keira, let me take you home." She turned to leave with the girl but glanced back at Ventus and placed a hand on his shoulder. "If you want to continue on, Ventus, then do so. They can't control you or what you do. Do what you want to do; what you think is right."
"Yeah!" Keira gave him a thumbs up as Bailey left the area. "What you think is right!" She then turned and hurried after Bailey.
"What's wrong with you?" Selia asked the other girl. "You're lucky she didn't beat the hell out of you. She would have if you were one of the other guards."
"Hell, she would have if it were me or you." Lucient grunted, crossing his arms.
"It's all right, Selia," Ventus told her.
"You didn't answer my question, Terra." Aqua began.
"Drop it, woman." Lucient told her.
She gave a sigh and went to turn away but Terra decided to answer anyway.
"It might be a different route, but I am fighting the darkness."
Aqua shook her head. "I'm not so sure. I've been to the same words as you and I've seen what you've done. You shouldn't put yourself so close to the darkness."
"Listen to yourself, Aqua," Ventus took a step forward. "Terra would never-"
"You mean you've been spying on me?" Terra asked.
Lucient and Selia shared a look and the same silent message. ~Uh-oh~
"Is that what he said to do? The Master's orders?"
"He was only…" Aqua couldn't continue and Ventus hung his head.
"Aqua…"
"I get it," Terra turned to follow after Bailey and Keira. "Perhaps Bailey had made the right choice in leaving all those four years ago."
"But, Terra!" Ventus went to follow him but the older man wasn't having it.
"Just stay put! I'm on my own now, alright? No…I'm with Bailey now."
"Terra, please! Listen!" Aqua tried to call to him but he ignored her. "The Master has no reason to distrust you, really! He was just worried."
"I think you've done enough damage, lady," Geoffrey's voice finally spoke out.
Lucient dropped a fist on his head. "Hush."
Ventus turned and looked at the blue-haired woman. "You're awful, Aqua."
"So now you know the truth," Aqua sighed and looked at him. "But the Master loves Terra, and you know that too."
"Yeah, just like he loves his niece, right?" Selia began, her arms crossed. "He loved her so much that he left her on her own." She gave a sigh and placed a hand on Alana's head. "Let's go, sweetie."
Alana gave a quick goodbye to Geoffrey before taking off after her sister.
"Selia, wait!" The young woman turned to see that Ventus had hurried after her.
She gave a smile. "You sure you don't want to stay there with your friend?"
"I…I want to find Terra again." He told her truthfully.
"Then let's go find him." She began to lead the way but the sound of a certain little girl clearing her voice made her pause. "Ah, yes, before I forget. Ventus this is Alana, Alana, meet Ventus."
Alana beamed up at Ventus. "Whatever she's said about me is all lies."
Ventus smiled. "Oh, so you're not a darling, little angel? And she tried so hard to tell me that you were."
Alana looked surprised and glanced at Selia. "You didn't say anything bad about me? That's a first."
"Alana, I'm hurt." Selia turned from her. "I only speak the truth. If you're a brat when I talk to Bethany or Lucient that's your own fault."
Ventus laughed, watching as the duo snipped back and forth at each other. He could see the love between them without much difficulty. The duo dragged him into the conversation as they moved through the city but the conversation came to a stop when they reached a scene at the courtyard.
"Ah, Selia, its Ienzo and Eryn!" Alana cried, pointing at the young boy and girl surrounded by the Unversed.
"You know him?" Ventus asked.
"Yeah, he's an apprentice to the King!" That was all she said as she ran forward to knocked the Unversed away from the kids. Ventus followed after her. "Alana, get Ienzo out of here!"
"Okay!" The young grabbed the silent boy's hand. "Let's go, Ienzo." She grabbed the girl's as well and led the way to the side, leaving Ventus and Selia to take care of the monsters. It didn't take long.
"So they are here in Radiant Garden," Selia sighed. "And to think I had been hoping that only that armor had been here."
"At least the kids are all right," Ventus told her.
"Yeah, that's good, I su-"
"Ienzo, where are you?" Selia froze at the voice. "Answer me!"
"Oh no."
"Who is it?" Ventus asked, watching as a blond man in a white lab coat moved into view.
"Even."
At the sound of his name, Even turned to see Ienzo moving forward with Alana and Eryn. "Didn't I warn you not to wander off, child?"
"That's just it, Even." Selia began, facing the older man. "He's a child. You can't change him into one of your puppets, despite his inability to talk. He should be able to hang out with other kids."
"Scum, you mean," He shot her a look.
Noticing the look on Eryn's face, Selia gave a glare. "You may be on the King's good side, but one of these days you're gonna get yours, you asshole, and I hope I'm there to see it!"
"Well, until then, dodder off," He told her. He turned to Ventus but gave a yelp as Alana kicked him in the shin.
"Stop being mean to my sister you big-nosed freak!"
"Stinkin' brat!" Even growled at her. He lunged to grab her but she dodged out of the way, hiding behind Ienzo and Eryn. "You won't be able to hide forever!"
"Shut it, big-nose!"
"Stop calling me that!"
Ventus watched as the arguing continued for a few moments before giving a sigh and turning to the older man to ask if he had seen Terra.
"Alana," The young girl turned to her sister. "Why don't you take Eryn and go see Renee? I'm sure that Tifa and Yuffie are there still. It's getting close to dinner time."
"Aww, but I want to spend more time with you!" Alana grabbed her head.
Selia muffled her hair. "I'll be home again soon, sweetie, don't worry. The journey will be over soon."
"Yeah, but how do you know?"
"Woman's intuition. You'll have it too; when you're older." She glanced and the young girl with pink hair. "Don't worry, Eryn, you'll have it, too." She pulled the girl into a firm grip. "And just ignore what that man says. Being an orphan doesn't make you scum; you're actions do. You'll prove it to him; one day." Eryn stayed silent but from the firm grip that she placed on her shirt she had accepted her words.
"Come on, Eryn. Let's go. I'm sure Aunt Renee has some cake or something for us. Maybe even ice cream!"
Ventus watched as the two girls ran off, Even leaving with Ienzo behind them.
"I hate that guy." Selia shook her head. "All he does his try and grind me into the ground. They all did, until Bailey showed up."
"Why?" He asked her.
"Lucient and I are Orphans." She told him. "We grew up in the alleys and had to fend for ourselves for as long as we could remember. Then others came and formed around us. I got caught trying to steal munny from Cid's shop one day and…well, that's when Renee pretty much took us all in. She and Cid built a house for us and we lived there for about three years before Bailey arrived. When she did, both Lucient and I began to train under her and became guards here in the castle. Many of the nobles or other guards didn't like it but Bailey knocked them all off of their high horse. Some still carry grudges, though."
Ventus was shocked. From the looks of her now, you wouldn't think that she or Lucient would go through something as horrible as that. Her smile was too bright.
"I can't help them all," Selia turned and looked at the sky, stretching her back a bit. "But I'll help those that I can. Squall and Lucia were Orphans, too. They're younger than me but they take care of the others when I can't. I trust them with Alana and Eryn and the others with all my heart. I know, one day, everything will be okay and there will be no more orphans here in Radiant Garden. That's my dream, anyway."
Ventus moved up next to her and gave a large smile. "You know, if you keep on believing, your wish will come true."
She gave a chuckle. "Yeah, you're right, aren't you?" She rolled her neck and glanced at him again. "So, let's go find Terra and Bailey, yeah?"
"That guy said he saw them in the Outer Gardens."
"The Outer Gardens? Why would they be there?"
Ventus had to let Selia lead the way again but when he saw the other duo standing in the open, talking, he jumped forward.
"Terra! Bailey!" The duo turned to see Ventus and Selia running up to them. "Take me with you." He told them, not wasting a moment.
Terra turned. "I can't do that, Ven."
"Why not?" Ventus hung his head.
"I just…" Terra glanced at him over his shoulder. "When I really need you, Ven, I know you'll be there."
Ventus raised his head with a huge smile. "Well, why wouldn't I? You're my friend."
"Yeah…" He grinned. "You're right. Thanks, Ven." He changed into his armor and took off.
"Seems like an asshole." Selia commented, watching him fly off.
"Has to be to deal with her." Ventus teased.
Bailey gave him a shove. "Do what you want, Ventus." She told him. "All I ask is that you and Selia stick together if you do plan on continuing."
"What's wrong? Don't want me with you?" Selia asked.
"No, you and Ventus just make a cute team," Bailey teased. She gave a chuckle as both of them flushed. She changed into her armor. "Stay safe you guys."
Selia watched as Bailey took off after Terra before glancing back at Ventus. "Shall we continue as well?"
"Not yet." He shook his head. "We need to tell Aqua." He took off.
"Aqua? But why?" She asked, following him.
"She's our friend too! Just trust me!"
Giving a shrug she followed him back to see that Aqua and Lucient were still there in the Aqueduct. Geoffrey had done taken off it seemed.
"Where you able to find them?" Aqua asked them.
"Yeah," Selia nodded. "But they both took off already."
Aqua hung her head. "Right."
"You didn't really expect them to stick around, did you?" Lucient asked her.
"No, I guess not." She gave a silent sigh. "That means we can't stay here, either."
"Let us go with you," Ventus offered.
"No, Ven. Do as I say and go home." Aqua's tone was harsh.
He hung his head again. "Why won't you let me?"
"I don't want to put you in harm's way," Was her answer. She reached forward and grabbed his shoulder. "You understand?"
All he did was stay silent as she changed into her own armor. Lucient gave a silent sigh and turned to Selia as she shook her head.
"Be careful," He told her.
"You know we will."
As they both disappeared, Selia grabbed Ventus' arm. "Come with me, Ventus. Let's get you something to eat."
He pulled away from her. "I don't want anything to eat, I just want…" Giving a growl, He took off, leaving her behind in the Aqueduct. She sighed and watched him go.
~He needs to think,~ She told herself. ~But I'll get him something anyway.~
Heading towards the Central Square, she gave a smile as she hit the ice cream shop; there was a set of familiar faces waiting on her.
"Hey guys!"
The four faces turned, forgetting about the ice cream in their hands. "Selia!" was what both girls and the redhead smiled but the blue haired boy just stared at her in silence.
"Nice to see you too, Isa."
Isa was about 16 with spiky blue hair and marine eyes in a pair of long white pants and a short-sleeved, blue jacket with pierced ears. Beside him was Lea, a red-headed teen the same age with turquoise eyes in a pair of khaki pants and an orange vest over a white shirt as a yellow/brown scarf hung around his neck.
"When did you get back?" Lea asked her, the sea-salt ice cream hanging from his mouth.
"I'm not back officially; we just stopped here for some business before we take off again." She answered him.
"Well, how much longer are you going to be gone?" One of the girls asked. "It's not the same without you to cause havoc with us."
These girls were twins, Lyra and Myra. Myra had short, brown hair and matching eyes while her sister had longer hair in a braid. While Myra was dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a tye-dye top, Lyra wore matching in white and black.
"Sorry guys, but duty calls. Don't worry though. You'll know when I'll be back for good." She gave them another glance. "And just what type of havoc have you been causing lately?"
"That's just Myra's big mouth going off," Isa grunted.
"Hey!"
"Stop teasing my girl, Isa." Lea told his friend.
"Isa teases everyone; even me," Lyra sighed.
"Yeah, but you like it when he does it to you. I don't." Myra crossed his arms.
"I should have known that you four couldn't grow up in such a short amount of time."
"And you were hoping that we would?" Lyra asked her.
"Just a bit."
"We're not like Squall or Cloud, you know." Lea crossed his arms behind his head. "We know how to have fun."
Selia agreed with him. They were not like Squall or Cloud.
Forgetting all about the ice cream, Selia moved with the four of them, talking and laughing like she would any normal day. She kept her eyes open for Ventus and she found what she was searching for in the Square, He was sitting there against a wall, tossing a wooden Keyblade up in the air and catching it, thinking deeply to himself.
"Ah, Ventus," Selia went to move forward but Myra caught her arm.
"Watch my man at work." She told her.
And so she did. Lea had stopped to give Ventus back his wooden sword and teased him for a bit before whipping out his two Frisbees.
"Whatcha' think?"
"Not a whole lot."
"You're just jealous." Lea told him. "I'm Lea. Got it memorized?"
"I hate it when he says that." Lyra sighed.
"You only say that because Isa doesn't have a catchphrase." Her sister argued.
"He's cool enough without one."
Selia watched as Lea challenged Ventus to a fight…if you want to call it that.
"Lea!" Myra ran forward when Ventus knocked him to the ground.
"It's alright, babe, I'm fine." Lea smiled at her. "You…had enough?" He then called to Ventus. "'Cause I'm willing to…call it a draw if you are."
"Right." Ventus chuckled.
"Nice job, Ventus." The young man turned to see Selia standing there with Lyra. "You had me worried for a little while."
"Please. I learned from Bailey a little to, you know." He chuckled, his mood bright again.
"Well, that explains a lot," Lea stood up with Myra's help. "You didn't throw me that info, Selia."
"Well, now you know," She grinned. "Got it memorized?
The Radiant Garden group all laughed, even Isa gave a chuckle.
"From where I stood," Isa decided to continue to grin. "The only thing you drew on was a big 'L' on your forehead for 'Loser', 'Lame,' 'Laughable,'…"
"What?" Lea looked at his friend. "Isn't this the part where ya…cheer me up or somethin'?" He crossed his arms. "'You're just havin' a bad day' or 'that's what you get for pullin' your punches'. Some friend."
"Oh, you mean I was supposed to lie." Isa replied.
"You were great, Lea." Lyra told him and then she and Isa broke out in laughter.
Lea gave another sigh. "Ya see what I gotta put up with?" He glanced at Ventus. "Sure hope you don't have friends like them." Ventus then began to laugh, the rest of them joining in with Isa and Lyra.
"Lea," Isa began as the laughter died down. "We have to go."
"'Kay."
"It was good to see you again, Selia," Myra gave a wave. "When you come back you gotta tell us all the stories, promise?"
"Promise," She nodded, placing a hand on her hip.
"Already?" Ventus frowned.
Lea grinned. "I'll see ya when I see ya. After all, we're friends now. Besides, your girl's friends with mine. They'll drag us together." Selia felt her face flush again. "Get it memorized."
Selia hung her head as the four of them moved away. "Why does everyone keep saying that?" She asked.
"I'm sorry, Selia."
"Ah, I'm not worried about it. You're a sweetheart, Ventus." She grinned and stretched her back, getting ready to whip out her transporter. "Oh, if only you were a bit older."
He pulled a face. "I'm only two years younger than you!"
"So? Still younger."
Myra gave a chuckle as Ventus and Selia continued to chatter before turning back to her sister. "So cute."
"What is it with you and picking up stray puppies?" Isa asked Lea.
"I want everybody I meet to remember me. Inside people's memories, I can live forever."
"I know I won't forget you," The blue-haired boy snorted. "Believe me, I try all the time."
"See, I'm immortal!" Lea smiled as the two girls laughed.
"You're obnoxious." Isa sighed. He then glanced up at the castle.
"You ready?" Lea asked.
"Well, I can tell you are."
"All of us are," Lyra grabbed his jacket sleeve. "Let's go, shall we?"
"Yeah," Lea grabbed Myra's hand and they all walked off.
"Must be nice," Ventus sighed. "Knowin' who your friends are."
"Well," Selia folded her hands together behind her back. "Just so you know, I am a friend, Ventus." He glanced at her. "I'm not going to try and tell you what to do. I'm going to let you choose and I'll have your back." She looked at him. "And Bailey is too, no matter how long you've been apart. She wanted you to come, remember?"
Ventus was silent for a moment before letting his smile spread wider. "I'm really glad I ran into you, Selia. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't."
She smiled back, happiness flooding through her at his swords. "Same here, Ventus."
Disney Town in this is just a whole bunch of crap so I'm just going to skip that chapter in all three stories.
