Hey guys so I know its been awhile but its the summer so I have time to update and im gonna start updating a lot more like once or twice a week. So I hope you enjoy. Check out my other story 'The Bachelor' because that story is my main priority next to this one. Now on to the story

Katniss' P.O.V
I woke up to a blinding light blazing through the window. Who turned on the fucking sun? Okay that was a stupid question, but seriously where am I? I turned over on the cushions to see my surroundings but I ended up crashing to the floor
"Oh shit, that hurt" I moan. At that moment I heard the patter of foot steps coming into the room
"Katniss?" I heard the deep hum of Gales voice "Why are you laying on the floor "
"I don't even know" I snap "Where am I anyways, All I remember is walking home from Peeta's"
"Oh, Um.." Gale stuttered. I knew he wasn't telling me something
"Gale, What is it? Spit it out! What happened, I'm a big girl I can handle it" I spit
"Well I was coming back from the woods when I saw you sobbing uncontrollably on the ground next the the light post that Peeta ran into" He looked down at he ground scratching the back of his neck. It was one of his nervous habits.
"Oh" I looked at my fingers like they were the most important thing in the world. I was just so embarrassed. Whats wrong with me? Why have I been so emotional.
"Gale can I ask you something?" I look up at Gales face
"You just did" He smirks
"Quit being an ass" I laugh.
"Sorry catnip, of course you can ask me anything" He suddenly turned serious
"What's wrong with me" I blurt "I mean it seems all I'm doing lately is crying, it all just feels different" Gale looked me straight in the eyes
"It's what love does to you" What? How did he know I loved Peeta? Only Finnick and Peeta himself heard me say that I loved him
"How do you know I love him" I ask curiously
"Please Kat" He scoffs "The way you look at him gives it all away"
"Oh" I whisper
"I honestly think he's good for you Kat" He admits. There was a silence that filled the room.
"Enough of this serious talk" Gale blurts suddenly "How about you get ready and we'll go to town or something" I smile at his attempts to cheer me up
"That would be great" I laugh "Just give me ten minutes" I dash up the stairs and peel off my clothes from yesterday. I quickly change into a pair of high waited light wash shorts and a black crop top. Hmm who knew I actually had style. I run my brush through my waves and braid my hair as fast as my nimble fingers will move.
"Katniss hurry up" I hear gales annoyed voice
"Calm your man tits Gale I just need to brush my teeth" I shout back. I can hear him chuckle at my choice words.
I made my way to bathroom and brushed my teeth as quickly as I could and I skipped downstairs
"Okay I'm done, see how much better life is when you calm yourself" I poke him in the chest
"Yeah, Yeah" He rolls his eyes bushing my hand away. We made our way out of my house and towards the town. We walked in a comfortable silence until Gale suddenly broke it
"Look who it is over there, lover boy" He puckered his lips mocking me
"Shut up" I said punching him in the shoulder "Your being a douche nipple"
He bursts into laughter when he hears my colorful choice in words. He's bent over holding his stomach from laughing so hard
"D-douche nipple?" He spits out between his laughter. By now he's starting to draw attention
"What? I didn't know what else to say, you know I'm bad at comebacks and that type of crap, Now stand up straight and pull yourself together you attracting attention" I pull him to a standing position
At that moment I look over and see Peeta outside of the bakery. He has a sack of flour thrown over his shoulder making his muscles show in all the right places
I can still see the bruises and scabs on his face and the one long cut down his arm that he had to get stitches for but other than that he looked hot, but damn his muscles
"Hey, earth to Katniss" Gale waves his hand in front of my face "You have a little drool on your lip"
"Do you wanna die today Gale, because your well on your way of me killing you"
"Why don't you go say hi" He asks completely avoiding my threat
"Well he's working I don't wanna interrupt" I turn around and start to walk away but as soon as I do I hear his angelic voice
"Katniss, Kat" I turn around and see a smilling Peeta waving at me from a short distance. I give him a small smile and start in his direction
"Ooh go get some catnip" I hear Gale chuckle. I turn around and shoot him a death glare and
I make my way over to Peeta and the second I do I feel his arms wrap tightly around my waist. In response I wrap my tiny arms around his neck and nuzzle my face into his chest.
"How are you feeling" I mumble against his shirt. He pulls away from the hug with a bright smile on his face
"I'm doing fantastic now that your here" I roll my eyes at him
"Your so cheesy" I laugh
"Only for you babe" He gives me a seductive playful look. My stomach does flips at the sound of him calling me babe but I just play it off with laughter. I hear some footsteps behind me and I turn around to see Gale standing there
"Um do you two wanna come inside" Peeta gestures towards the doors. I look at Gale but he just gives me an approving smile
"You know what catnip I'm gonna go catch up with a few people I'll see you later" He ruffles my hair and does a little bow then walks away. I let out a little chuckle at his little kid side
"So" Peeta runs his hand throw his blonde hair "Do you wanna come in for a snack or something"
"I'd love to" I laugh and his face brightens up like a kid in a candy store
"Well what are you waiting for lets go" He grabs my hand and pulls me along to the small bakery. I let out a small giggle at how excited he is for me to hangout with him. We walk behind the counter and he pulls out two stools. Seeing that its empty he asks
"Wanna cookie or something, I mean we have no costumers today one wouldn't hurt anything"
I hesitant a bit before answering
"Um, sure that would be nice thank you" He leaves than comes back two seconds later with a cookie in hand
"Here" He hands me it
"Thanks" I say awkwardly "Um...Why don't we play a game, Like 20 questions" I suggest
"Here I'll go first" He volunteers "Um what's your favorite color?" He starts simple
"Green" I state simply "What about you?"
"Orange" He replies. I cringe a bit thinking of the bright color
"Yeah, yeah, I know what your thinking 'ew orange'" I laugh at his attempt to do a girl voice "I don't like bright orange I like a softer orange almost like the sunset" He looks down and blushes
"Oh nice" I say because I honestly can't think of anything else
"What is your favorite animal" Peeta breaks the silence. I open my moth to answer but I hear a loud bang ad the door opens. I look over my shoulder and my eyes widen as I see Peetas mother standing in the doorway face red from anger
"What is this filthy seam trash doing behind my counter" His mother shouts pointing at me. Peeta stands up from his stool and raises his voice
"She is not seam trash so you will not call her that" He yells. I've never seen him this upset before
"You will respect my girlfriend"
"I will not let my son date a seam girl like her" She is now shaking from anger
"Well guess what mother" Peeta puts his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him
"I am dating her and you can't stop me, now if you'll excuse us I'm gonna take the girl I love up to my room."
He grabs my hand and leads me down a hall and up the stairs. He opens a door and leads me into it. This must be his bed room I think.
"I'm so sorry about her" He shakes his head
"No, no it's okay and I understand if you wanna break up with me now I mean she's rig-"
I'm cut off by a pair of lips crashing into mine. The kiss is soft and full of love.
He pulls away and rests his forehead against mine
"Don't say that" He whispers "I would never give you up for anything in the world"
He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close.
I know for a fact that In this moment right here and right now there is no place I'd rather be but in his arms.
